The cliffs rise many feet out of the water below, a sheer drop of over one hundred feet. To the west of the cliffs, there lies a path leading downwards to a nearby beach, tossed with rocks and shells. Current events: Monster Assault!

Strange monsters have swarmed up the cliffs out of the sea! Many lay swarming on the beach, generally making a racket.
The monsters are snake like in shape, with two arms extending from the sides of their body in order to give them some leverage. The longest is about four feet, although most are approximately two feet long. Although they do appear to have fairly sharp teeth, they lack claws and spines, and some of the more intimidating features of other monsters. Plus they seem really stupid... And judging from the number of monsters that don't get up after being walked over by one of their companions, they're fairly fragile, probably an easy defeat.
Nevertheless, these monsters need to be stopped before they cause trouble in the nearby areas...

"Falco! Be careful!" Sarah warned when she realised that the little winged zahdl was once again attempting to climb a tall tree. It was the fifth time this week that the little zahdl was attempting this rather dangerous (in Sarah's opinion that is) feat. In truth, Falco was rather enjoying himself. He did not know why but being in high places sort of gave him an estatic feeling. Like he belonged there.Besides it's high up that one could find edible fruits untouch by any ground animals. Now the trouble was getting down...
"Sarah, I think I may be stuck... again...," the little one said after another unsucessful attempt of climbing down the tree. The tree's branches were too far away for his legs to reach yet they were close enough to hinder him from using his wings properly; not that Falco could actually fly yet. All he was able to do so far was to somewhat glide over a relatively long distance before landing rather clumsily on the ground.
"Not again Falco...," Sarah groaned and was just about to use her skill as a guardian to buffer the zahdl should he happen to fall in his attempt to get down when Falco's voice suddenly cut through her thoughts. "Sarah look! What's that?"
"Where?" Sarah said immediately scanning the horizon. At first she could not see what was troubling the little guy but on closer inspection she could see something snake-like making it's way out of the cliff's edge. "I-I'm not sure Falco but I don't think that they will be much of a threat to us...I mean whatever it is it is still a good distance off. Besides, they do not look too adapted to land.We need not worry about them...,"Sarah said trying to calm what she thought was a frightened Falco down but what she got in response was something she was not prepared for.
"Sarah, those things might be endangering others. We must do something...," Falco replied;his tone suddenly taking on a grave tone. And without waiting for a reply the little zahdl jumped off the branch that he was momentarily stuck on and somehow managed to manuver his wings out of the branch's reach. Gliding swiftly towards the cliffs Sarah and Falco could now see the monsters clearly as they neared the site. But what Falco actually had in mind when they arrive there was anyone's guessed....

"Okay, Xi-Xi, when I said I was a bit miffed, I didn't mean for you to DRAG ME INTO A PLACE FULL OF MONSTERS!" Tae was furious! He'd only JUST GROWN and already he was being forced by a spirit he COULD NOT SEE to fight things that greatly resembled slugs!
Well, apparently that was the IDEA, but, he'd still not moved from his spot on the rocks.. There was an overcrop of rocks, one large enough for him to rest against and pretty much just nap there. Not to mention the warmth radiating from the rock from the sunlight was oh so wonderful..
'Tae, we have to do SOMETHING.. They're terrorizing people, and no one's able to really DO anything.. C'mon, we can try out some spells or something..?' Xi-Xi tried.. Now that he'd gotten older, he didn't listen to her half as much, and she missed that. She missed him being a kitten.. Or his quirks, anyway..
And then when Tae moved, his bell collar jingled, and instantly he went to batting at it, eyes closing as he grinned. He seriously loved that bell, no matter what happened, really. He flicked at it, listening as tiger ears would twitch, tail hanging limply over the side..
He turned hazel colored eyes soon towards the lower cliff sides that held most of the swarm population, peeking over the edge, "But.. But, Xi-Xi.. I don't.. KNOW any spells or anything.. You know Wind.. What are we gonna do? Ruffle their scales and hope they die laughing..?" he huffed out his cheek in the spirits general direction.. He folded his arms under his chin, one foot rising and toes wiggling under the leather of the sandle-like clothing..
Xi-Xi shrugged, or, well, attempted to, simply looking down at the creatures and soon she spotted something, 'Tae, look! Someone's coming! It's another Zahdl!' she shifted over Tae's head, practically standing ontop of it, which, in turn, caused the boy to huff about getting his hoodie dirty with her spirit dirt.. But, he spoted Falco soon enough, "Whoah, he's a bit young for trying to take on these guys.. Maybe.. I dunno, I don't know any spells.. But.. I guess I could use my claws if anything to get him out of there.."
Xi-Xi didn't have time to protest before Tae leapt onto one of the lower rocks, using that cat-like grace and long tail of his to keep balance as he began going lower, and lower, and lower still.. Xi-Xi could only hopelessly follow after him, using what small bit of 'wind' spell she had to keep him from tipping over too much that he might actually fall..
Tae could see Falco clearly at this point, "Wow, this is cool.. I haven't been able to fight with anyone in a while.. What do you think, Xi-Xi..? These things look.. Kinda goofy.. That one just fell over!" he laughed as one, actually, seemed to fall over, but the others climbed over it's body.. He blinked, and made a slight face, "Do I have to like.. Direct them and stuff..?"
'Disect is the correct term, and I don't think so.. Maybe they're dumb enough if we harm enough of them, they'll get scared and run away..' Xi-Xi shrugged again, hovering over his shoulder as the tiger-kit would just watch for now, still a decent distance away at the moment..
"I don't think tha'ts the point.. If we want them to stay away, we'll have to get rid of them, right..? Like pest control that Mom talks about.." Tae nodded. Xi-Xi sighed, well, at least he listened to XIAO, now if only he'd listen to HER once in a while.. The tiger kit dropped down one more rock, it only being about three feet downwards, his feet scrambled a bit to catch his balance..
He simply sat, crouched, on another rock, hands grasping the stone's edge between his legs as they bent at the knee and pointed outwards slightly, tail jerking about behind him, "This could be fun.." he grinned..

"Ummm...Falco...what exactly are you planning to do?" Sarah asked ask the little zahdl made his way towards the sea monsters.
"Do? What do you mean Sarah?" Falco asked as he adjusted his wings slightly.Flying was something he was still unused to. "I don't plan to do anything with them,"
"What?! Falco! This is insane! You're flying straight a bunch of sea creatures and not do anything? Falco! Pull back! " Sarah screamed making the young zahdl winced.
"Sarah...your voice is too loud...," the young zahdl whined suddenly sounding like the small fellow that he is. "The tide is going to go down soon. Please let me handle it until then Sarah...,"
"What do you mean Falco?"Sarah asked suspecting that perhaps Falco had something up his sleeve afterall. "Why wait till low tide?"
"Because...you said that they were not adapted to land so, they'll be stranded! Sarah, they'll be stranded on the beach till the next time another high tide comes along which will be waaay past mid-day tomorrow," Falco replied beaming. "All we have to do is to make sure they don't return to the sea till then,"said Falco giggling at the thought that he was actually explaining something to the 'know-it-all' Sarah.
"Falco! That's splendid!" said Sarah in amazement. Perhaps the fact that Falco probably knew that he was no match for a physical combat with the monsters, the little Zahdl decided to use wit instead. And what better way to do it than to sun-dry these aquatic beings?
"But...Falco...how are you going to last till low tide?"Sarah asked posing yet another question. Though the plan seemed logical enough, how was the little one going to keep up his stamina?
"Errr...," Falco replied suddenly seeing the point. "Hang in there I guess....,"
"No, Falco I will not permit it," said Sarah firmly. "There must be a better way than just 'hanging in there'. Let's just head over to those rocks over there for the moment okay? Then we'll think of something,"
The rocks that Sarah had pointed out to Falco was non other than the rocks Tea and Xi-Xi were on and as the little Zahdl swerved towards it his sharp eyes saw the figure of another there.
"Sarah! Look! People!" the young Zahdl excliamed excitedly. " Maybe they can help us,"

Tae's tail flicked a bit more, still a decent distance away from both Zahdl and creatures, he'd turn his eyes upwards, as though judging something, "Let's see.. I don't know much, but, I do think I heard the little guy mention something about 'tide'.."
He soon leapt out, landing on one rock, then leaping out wildly, hands and arms extended as he jumped to another. He would soon land on the earth below, after giving Xi-Xi several attempts at a heart attack..
His tail swayed behind him as he let out a faint growl of victory, looking up he'd grin, "Yep! I scaled it in a matter of minutes! Good, Mom will be happy!" he clapped his hands together, eyes closing a moment, before one ear would perk, and he'd turn his gaze then towards the supposed creatures, ears drooping entirely.
"Okay, these guys look really.. Really stupid.." he muttered, "I thought I was a taco short of a combo plate.." he crouched down, ears still pressed back and he hissed once at the creatures, moving backwards, and soon almost tripping over Falco. He yelped out as his leg caught on the edge of the rock, arms pinwheeling, he'd actually fall backwards, but, soon catching his hand on the other edge of the edifice, he'd spin around, and land in another crouch.
"Ne..? Oh, hey there, squirt.." he'd smile, and soon stand, only to wave off the rambling Xi-Xi about getting things done now and now.
"So, let me guess, you wanna be a hero, huh..?" he smiled, leaning forwards as he let his hands rest on his own hips, bending at the waist as he looked the boy in the eye, his own hazel orbs glinting..

Squirt? What is a squirt? Falco thought to himself before looking up at the bigger zahdl.
" I don't wanna be a hero. I just want to stop those monsters,"said Falco pointning at the mass of tentacles blindly moving about here and there. " Heroes are people who use big,big weapons and rescue girls," continued Falco wrinkling up nose as he remembered Sarah's tales of 'heroes'; people who in Falco's opinion only seemed to want to rescue 'beautiful' princesses. Well...if that was what a hero was all about than Falco certainly wasn't one.
"But...what about you...ummm sir?" Falco asked looking back at Tae. "Were you planning to stop them too?"
The older zahdl (to Falco's eyes) certainly seemed capable of handling the monsters. He had leapt down those rocks quite easily with such skill and grace that the little zahdl was quite mystified for a moment thus forgetting to move out of Tae's way earlier causing Tae to nearly lose his balance.

"Heroes don't just save girls.." Tae blinked his eyes, "Who told you that? That's not true! They rescue EVERYONE.. And anything! And you don't have to be some huge bulkin' big guy to do it, either. A woman could even be a hero.." he grinned, lifting his hand and patting the top of the darker colored Zahdl's head.
He turned his eyes then towards the mass out over the cliffs, eyes narrowing slightly, well, if he was going to get this done, he needed to hurry up and do it, didn't he..? He lifted his hand, and soon bit on his thumb claw, nibbling against it as he soon sat down and thought, "I'm not quite sure how we can go about this.. They seem to be about as thick as water, so.. I'm wondering if we can't hurt enough of them, scare them a little, they'll try to run away and hopefully come back where they come from.."
He shook his head, "But that'd only be a temporary solution. We want to make sure these things don't come back.. Or at least if they DO come back, we're all nice and strong, know a ton of spells, and we're able to blast them away.." he grinned, turning hazel eyes to the tiny zahdl once more with the tilt of his head. Bicolored locks would shift to fall across his eyes, and he squeaked, "Gah, I need a hair tie or something.." he muttered, pushing them back from his face as he stood up, and swayed his tail around slowly, eyes half lidded to watch the world ahead of him..

Falco giggled. That definition of a hero was more to his liking than the previous. Seeing the older zahdl turn to look at the monsters Falco too followed and frowned slightly. "They look mean," said Falco pouting slightly. "...and I don't think I'm strong enough to hurt them at all....,"
Should he suggest his idea to the older zahdl? Falco wondered staring at Tae. Perhaps the older one had a better idea. At any rate, Falco decided to wait and see if the other zahdl would bring out an idea that they could both managed.
Sarah observed the two zahdls as they interacted. So there weren't as few zahdls as she had earlier percieved and this particular one with its cat-like features and movements looks like the the older of the two. Does he have a guardian spirit too? Sarah wondered as she hovered about Falco.

Tae tapped his chin, soon nibbling on his thumbnail for a while, "The tide is the key factor here.. Sure, it'll come in and out, and keep them away for a while, but, that's only for a little while.."
He nibbled on the thumbnail a bit more, "We need to think of a way to get rid of them period.. So we won't have to go through a monthly/daily ritual of trying to keep them from harming anyone.. If they got over here, they could really do some damage.."
'I suggest you try and get some more help. The two of you aren't strong enough to do this on your own, Taeyeoung.. Oh! My manners have left me, My name is Xi-Xi.. This scame is Taeyeoung..' Xi-Xi finally emerged, having remained silent as she was a bit taxed from using her spell earlier..
She swirled slightly about her Zahdl friend, knowing he was trying to think, but, she sighed, 'What do you suggest..? Uhm, we didn't catch your name, young one..?'

The final count of the monsters appear to be about twenty, all considering. As they move out of the water, a strange quacke shakes the area, and a small ravine opens on the beach, about four feet wide, and six feet deep. A human or a Zahdl falling into it would probably barely even be hurt, but two of the monsters fall into it, and do not crawl out, lying dead on the bottom.
A good scare could probably drive the monsters back into it, where they'd be done for...
*Note: You are allowed to take control of the monsters.

"My name's Falco and she's Sara," Falco replied waving his hands towards a space somewhere above his head. "She's invisible," continued Falco giggling slightly.
"Please to meet you Xi-Xi and Taeyeong," replied Sarah nodding (virtually since she does not have a physical form).
"Hey guys...look!" Falco suddenly exclaimed pointing towards a small ravine. In it lay two dead monsters. "They just stopped moving after falling in...,"
"Interesting....,"remarked Sarah as she looked towards the direction that Falco indicated. "Do you think that perhaps...these things die on impact?"
To Sarah it certainly looked that way. Perhaps their large but soft bodies were not made to be on land where the pull of gravity is much more strongly felt than in the water.

Tae lowered his eyes to the ravine, spotting one or two more fall in he'd grin almost evilly, "This is going to be fun.."
He then turned his eyes towards Flaco for a moment, "I have an idea, Falco.. We're both going to have to scare the absolute hell out of them to do it.." he nodded his head, and would shift about to find some things.
He needed to find some rocks, not small ones, but the bigger ones, namely precariously perched on a cliff - Oh! Wiley Coyote, eat your heart out! He could spot at least three obscure rocks hanging on the edge of the cliff, "All right, Falco, see those rocks..? Fly up there, and I'll meet you there. When you get there, wait for my signal, and we'll both push those rocks over the edge. When they hit, they'll roll down the hill towards the idiots.. And what do normal people do when they see a giant rock rolling towards them? Run of course! And where do they have to run to? The ravine! They'll end up all tumbling and running into it, and, what doesn't run in, gets squashed by the rocks!"
He would then run forwards, making a wild leap, his tail jerked about madly to keep up. Finally, he was able to keep balance, and, would jump up onto the cliff side. He'd then start climbing like mad, moving faster than humanly possible towards the rocks. Left, right, duck, weave. He was moving like a friggen lizard along the cliffs, and, soon enough, he found himself at the edge of it.
He'd look down, waiting for Falco, and, should the young one comply, he'd lift his hand, "All right. One! Two! THREE!" and with that, he turned around, and round house kicked at the base of the rock, causing it to teeter on the edge, and, soon fall over. He'd then run over to the third one, doing the same to that. Now all three were running and rushing down the hills towards the monsters.
They didn't even see it coming! By the time they looked up, the rocks were upon them, and squishing them soon enough.. Most would scatter in a vain attempt to run for it, but, some were actually smart enough to avoid it, moving forwards still as hundreds of their comrads fell to their death at the edge of the ravine.
"Crap, there's still a few more left.. What do you suggest, Falco? I'm all out of ideas.. Only thing I could think of was to take them on in hand to hand combat.."

Falco nodded and flew to the top of the cliffs. Seeing Tae push the rocks over the cliffs Falco too followed suit and watch with interest as the rocks smashed the monsters below. However there were a few that escaped unharmed.
Flying(gliding) towards Tae Falco's eyes widened as the older zahdl suggested combating these creatures hand to hand. Could he actually do it?
Staring at his own tiny fists and inwardly comparing them to the older one's seemingly large fists. Falco pursed his lips and nodded slightly. If that was what it took to get rid of those monsters, Falco would do it.
Sarah observed as Falco made his decision and then whispered to him. " You can also pelt them with rocks from above if you think you're strong enough to lift it Falco,"

 A certain young woman, who was jogging in order to keep herself in shape, found her attention diverted from her activities by a loud racket coming from near the cliffs. She watched the antics of the two Zahdl for a moment, a half smirk on her face, before turning her gaze to the enemy.
Deciding to wait and see how things turned out before jumping into anything, she plopped down on one of the lower ledges on the cliff nearby, fingering something underneath the edge of her shirt. After all, didn't want to get rid of the entertainment too soon, now did she?
