 Dinah sat by the frozen lake. She looked at it with confusion. Why was the water frozen? How was she going to get a drink like that? The kitty sighed and sat up. She then saw a bird sitting on a stump. The female crouched down and began to walk over to pounce. Once Dinah got the stump the bird had saw her and flown away.

Beautiful the day was. The air was crisp and fresh. Radek stretched his legs as he walked along the lake side. He didn’t know what he was looking for or rather why he decided to walk around this area. His days were quiet now since Jasmine had disappeared. He had seen more of his youngest son Evrain and their children now. It was still a bit of a shock that he was a grandfather.
Jumping down off a wooden bridge he walked onto the pond. Ice was an interesting water form. He slid himself over it carefully trying not to fall. He had seen humans wear these funny boots to help them slide across it. Humans were silly sometimes he thought.

Dinah turned as she heard a new noise towards the lake. Maybe it was another bird or a different animal. Dinah stalked her way over towards the ice until she saw an adult winiko. She walked slowly up to him. "Hello?" She asked, but was ready to run if she had to.

Radek looked up when he heard the greeting. He was unaware anyone was even near the area. Looking at her he knew then why. She was a cat demon. They were as silent as the wind when they wanted to be. “Why hello there!” He called out; the snow crunched under his feet as he slowly walked towards her. “A chilly morning it is!” He shook the snow clumps off the long fur on his paws. "Blasted stuff sticks to me like glue!" He chuckled.

Dinah nodded. "Yeah, it is. I like to walk in tracks others have made or at least my own. I hate the cold feeling on my paws." Dinah picked up her front paw and began to lick the snow off of it. "I'm Dinah!" She introduced herself. It was nice to meet someone new.

“And I’m Radek.” he bowed down to her. “Most places I travel don’t have any tracks.” He laughed. “I don’t stay in one place too long unless my bonded wants me to.” He flicked his mane to disperse the snow. “This world is so big ya know?" He wasn’t sure is she travelled around herself. Radek also phased to places a lot depending on how far he was from the area. Instant transportation was the best thing about being a demon.

"Oh, I like to be where water is. I love water. To drink, I mean. Swimming it's my thing." Dinah giggled to herself which sounded a lot like beeping. That's why she was know as "beeper" to Mina.
"I guess it is a big place. Not that I've seen it. But I'm sure you are right." The cat Wini looked around at the area they were in now. She figured it was mostly just the same as that.

“Oh the world is a fantastic place…for the most part...beautiful scenery!” he shook is stout tail. “Though there are a few places I despise.” He sighed. “And that’s saying a lot since I am a kind hearted fellow.” He chuckled. “So may I ask what a fine feline is doing out in a chilly day as today?”

"What's a bad place?" Dinah had never been very far from the shop or the lake. Something about knowing Mina and Ozzy were near by made her feel safe. Once in a while she would get brave and go farther, but not very often. "Oh, well I was just out looking for things to catch! What about you?"

Radek sighed. "There are a lot of places around the world that are at war, or are in poverty...they are not nice places to be around...well I don't like being around them." his face saddened.
"Well on the brighter side there's none of that here!" He smiled lightly as he flicked his downy tail. "Things to catch?" He looked at her inquisitively; head dipped to the side. "As for I...I'm just out for a walk...nothing more. I sometimes need to relax and ponder over moments of my past..." He rolled the snow into a ball and gently rolled it towards her with a smile.

"Really? That's awful. I'm glad it's not like that here. It's nice here. I guess that's why I don't leave that often."
Dinah batted at the snowfall as it came towards her. "Sure, like bugs, birds and small animals. I like to catch them and bring them to Mina to show her." She giggled as she knew how much Mina did not like it. "Happy or sad moments?"

"Yes it's hard to leave such a tranquil place." he studied their surroundings then brought his attention back on her. A small chuckle rumbled in his throat. "I'm sure she looks forward to your gifts! " he grinned at the thought. If he did that with Pan she would surly throw it back at him.
"Once happy and joyous now they bring me pain...they are memories of a long lost love..." His downward expression showed hurt. "I do not know where she has gone. As each day passes by her memory fades more and more. I'm wondering if I will wake up one day and they will be gone forever." He rolled up another snowball but decided to keep it. He didn't want to burden her with his past. "What's done is done and it's time for me to stop dwindling in the past..." He crushed the ball under his paw.

Dinah walked over closer to Radek. "I'm very sorry to hear that. I'm sure that must be very hard." She wanted to nuzzle him or give him a lick, but since she didn't know him that well she thought it best not to. Instead she just moved closer so he knew she wanted him to feel better.

"I'm sorry...I shouldn't be drowning you in my sorrows." He sighed. " It's so not like me." The air grew quiet and he dazed off for a moment. "Hey would you like to go for a hot beverage?" His frown turned upside down. He cleared his throat and shifted some snow around "...I mean if your not busy?" He looked back up at her.

Dinah smiled and nodded. "It's okay." She then nodded again. "Sure, it is getting cold out. Even with my fur coat." The kitty wini giggled at the thought. Sure she had fur but that didn't mean she wasn't cold at all.
