Deidra sat high up, and kicked her legs back and forth. The moon had just risen on the horizon and the glow lit up the night. She leaned back on one elbow and looked up.

She stuck her tongue out at the moon. It was so boring tonight, and she wondered if there was anything she could do to stir up trouble. Not to, you know, cause trouble...she'd never do a thing like that. But doing something was far more fun than nothing and trouble seemed to be the easiest thing to do. She supposed she could go help someone...but that was an awful lot of work, and she imagined it wasn't nearly as much fun as sneaking up and jumping out at other gargoyles.

A shadowy figure ecliped the moon as silent, outstreched wings slighced through the chilly night air, his long, raven locks flowing behing him, hisl elegant tail trailing in his wake. The figure banked sharply, pulling up as it planned to decend onto the landing perch in its sights. As it came closer, it became more and more apperant that the newcomer in question was a large male gargoyle. He seemed completely unaware that the perch he had in mind was already occupied by a tan, bright-eyed female.

As soon as he touched down, the gargoyle draped his wings about his shoulders. Hesitating, he grasped at a gold chain around his neck with a clawed hand, fishing out the pendant that dangled from it. He held up the pendant before his face, his gold eyes regarding the amulet closely. It gleamed in the moonlight, shining with untold magic. He glared at it.

"Why do you torment me so, you wretched piece of jewelery?" he asked it aloud, unaware he had any more of an audience. "What must I do to be rid of you? Robin told me that if I managed to sell you or give you away, then his spell would be broken. But how can that be if I'm not even able to take you off?!" Tugging sharply at the gold chain in frustration, the thin links of metal broke easily in his grip, falling from his neck and fading in a cloud of glittering gold dust before it touched the ground.

However, Anwir seemed unfazed as, in the blink of an eye, the amulet, chain and all was restored to its previous location around his neck. He merely sighed in dispair, having expected such results. By the look on his face, it appeared he had attempted the technique numerous times before, all without success. Tilting his head up, the forlorn gargoyle slowly turned his gaze to the moon, as if it would tell him all he wished to know.

"The Trickster King was likely just teasing..." he murmured quietly to himself, glancing down at the cursed amulet once more. "But if there was even the slightest chance I could be rid of you, I'd take advantage of it. If there's a way, I'll find it. You can be certain of that."
