Harold shivered, having come out for the first time since the day before last. He rubbed his hands together and shoved them in his pockets, hoping for warmth.
Sadie tracked through the woods in an attempt to relieve some boredom. She was itching to go home and visit her parents. But they were "Honeymooning," and that was something she didn't want to see. Her ears perked when she saw a familiar figure up ahead
Harold watched his breath rise up from his mouth, and he flicked an ear as he heard someone close by. He looked back and saw Sadie.
'Hello," said Sadie as she smiled up at Harold. Since meeting him, she had been curious about him.
Harold smiled shyly and gave a half wave. "Hullo..." He muttered, "You're Sadie, right?"
"Yep!" Sadie's tail wagged behind her. "Harold?"
He nodded, "Yah."
"It's nice to see you again." Sadie's excitement was rolling off her in waves as she stared up at Harold. "You're my papa's cousin?"
"You too." Harold's tail swished behind him a bit nervously, "I am."
"Does that make you like, my cousin too?" asked Sadie.
Harold thought for a moment, "Uhm...something like that."
"Cool." Sadie practically danced in place. "This is like in the movies. When long lost relatives meet up!"
Harold chuckled a bit, "Yeah, exactly."
"Hopefully without the family drama though." Sadie frowned. "We've had enough drama."
He nodded and sighed, "I think...everything has resolved itself."
"I hope so." Sadie's ears dropped as she though about what happened. But perked up again. "So, what brings you out here?"
He shrugged, "Nothing much..." He sighed, "I was inside all day yesterday trying to make something." He waggled his fingers, some of them had bandages on them, "Sewing isn't my cup of tea."
Sadie giggled. "What were you trying to make?"
"A toy..." He muttered, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"A toy." Sadie pondered about why a grown man would be making a toy, then recalled the kit Harold had at the wedding. "For your kid?"
He shrugged, "He's not really my..." He sighed, "Well...yeah."
Harold frowned, "Never mind..." He muttered, messing with the strap of his back.
"Okay." Sadie tilted her head, eying hsi bag. "I thought only girls carried purses?"
Harold jumped slightly, "It isn't a purse..." He muttered, "It's a messenger bag..."
"Oh." Sadie thought that it sounded just like a purse then. But decided not to voice her thoughts.
Harold fidgeted a little, "Well...I guess...it's like...a man purse..."
"Neat." She poked at the bag, like it held soem vast secret. "What all do you have in it?"
Harold blinked, "Just...stuff..."
"Cool." Sadie's voice returned to normal. "I wish I had secret stuff."
Harold shrugged, "None of it's interesting, really..."
"But it's secret!" Sadie nodded eagerly. "That makes it automatically interesting.'
Harold blinked, "Well...it's hardly a secret..."
"It's a secret to me." Sadie rocked as her mind wondered about the many things that could be in the bag.
He thought for a moment, "Well, I could tell you, if you wanted."
"No." Sadie shook her head. "You keep your secret."
Harold smirked slightly, his grin almost identical to his cousin's, "Are you sure?"
Sadie blinked at the grin, then couldn't help but grin back. "I'm sure."
Harold shrugged, "Very well, then."
"You want to do something?" asked Sadie as she tilted her head.
He shrugged, "Sure." He said, smiling.
"Any ideas?" Sadie's tail began to wag again as she looked around.
He shrugged, "I don't care, anything you want to do." He muttered, his indecisiveness another trait he shared with his cousin.
"I don't know what I want to do though," said Sadie as she pouted at Harold.
He frowned, "I don't know what to do either..." He sighed, "What do you like to do?"
"I like to..." She trailed off as she thought it over. "I like to play with blocks, stalk Meth, play with my dads, walk....I think that's it."
Harold sniggered at the part about Meth, "You stalk Meth?" He smirked, "How about we walk? Since we don't have Meth, your parents, or any blocks."
"Okay." Sadie skipped in no real direction. Giggling as she thought of her favorite pink anthro. "Yeah. It's just to much fun!"
He sighed, and followed her, "Yeah...he used to stalk me, too..." He mumbled, "But it's not like it bothered me...I enjoyed it."
"You liked being stalked?" Sadie wondered if she would like being stalked.
He thought for a minute, "Well...yeah..." He muttered, blushing slightly, "He was my boyfriend...er, at the time..."
