The school itself is like The House of Night in the books- almost like a castle, with big hallways and wall and a main gate and all. So, yes, it basically is exactly like the real House of Night building. I'm doing this because sometimes buildings are difficult to explain over internet, and some people just don't get the description. I know I don't sometimes.
Since we don't want to copy the books in too many ways, we aren't going to be located in Tulsa. Instead, we are going to be located in Monterey, California. Its a beautiful city, and it has its own bay. It has a coastline with beaches, and also has forest and cliffs. Its a place where many different aspects of nature combine, perfect for fledgling atmosphere.
