This poem was created a year ago before my best friend, Tyler had to move. It talks about the greatest things that we did together. Yet again, this poem is told in 1st person, such as my other poem "A Friend's Departure". Like before, I love comments and criticism is always welcome. So please leave one.
We would always throw paper in our classes.
You have perfect aim, I never thought that you use to wear glasses.
How about that one time you shot lagasna out your nose?
Or that one time you got hit in the face and twitched your toes?
Do you remember how many backpacks you've gone through?
Three of them, right? Are you going to get one that's brand new?
You always told me that I was cursed.
All I can tell you is that you got it the worst.
What about those times we would have at lunch?
I've lost count because there's a bunch.
We would greet each other in the weirdest of ways.
In fact, our greetings would differ in a matter of days.
Did I mention sixth hour?
I like that class because I'm with you and you have the power
To make me laugh whenever you want to.
You made keep a grin on my face, even when I had the flu!
In my opinion, that's really hard to do.
A true best friend, I must say.
Making me laugh all day,
My hat's off to you.
If you left, I don't know what I'll do.
