With Gitmo closedown terrorists plan to pick up their old jobs where they left off.

Am I the only person who saw this coming? Somehow I think this re-education thing is not going to work, we are talking about people who have been brainwashed from the time they are 8, and we think that we, the people they've come to hate so much can actually re-educate them.

I guess I shouldn't be suprised that is the democrat philosophy on crime after all.

What philosophy would that be? A Justice system with due process, where effort is actually made to only punish the guilty and leave the innocent alone?

Look statistics is on my side here, either 1. they really hate us or 2. we're not so good and persuading people to like us. Personally I think its both 1 and 2, the pentagon estimate is that 67 out of the 72 we have released in the last 5 years have returned to terrorism, which brings me to my next point. Where will we put those who we capture in the future?

depends on where we capture them. If they are captured in the States, then they go to federal pound-me-in-the-arse prison (provided they are found guilty in a fair trial.)

and what if we don't capture them in the states?

then we extradite them (if their crime was on US soil) or send them to prison in whatever country their crime was in

and if that means we send them to a corrupt government? Also, how are we supposed to find out what the terrorists are up to if we can't squeeze them for information.

I feel like we are in the dawn of a new era of insecurity.
