Welcome to the roleplay forum. As you read on the main page, there are some specific rules that apply just to this section of the guild.
Since the lore of the series is rather intricate, roleplaying it will be slightly difficult to manage. This is why these rules need to be followed, because then everything will run smoothly.
I'm not trying to go all strict on you, but following the rules in RPing is a biggie here. It will just make my life and everyone else's life easier.

Fledgling Deaths As we are all acutely aware that some fledglings don't make it through the Change, I'm going to tell how our RP will simulate fledgling deaths. Once a month, a thread will go up in the roleplay forum. We won't have any deaths for the first few months, as we will be settling in and getting members. It will be random at first, but over time a specific day will emerge in the month. Once the thread goes up, every RPer will post their selection at a random number between 1 and 100. I will have a secret number, written down somewhere. The person who's number is closest to my picked number, or who has picked my number itself, will die in the RP. DO NOT PICK THE SAME NUMBER EACH MONTH. If you do, then you WILL be condemning your fledgling for death, or a warning. If the fledgling picked for death is in the middle of somethign in the RP, such as helping someone or something that they can't really just bleed to death in the middle of, then they can wait until they are free, then die. When a user's fledgling dies, they can make another one. The only restrictions on makign another fledgling after one of yours dies And yes, I am aware of how weird this all sounds. "they can wait until they are free, then die" yeah, just a tad odd. ATTENTION You can kill off your own fledgling if you wish, as a rejection from the change, and you don't need my permission for that.

Completeing the Change Since not every fledgling can just sit around and wait for their number to be called, some fledgling will make it through the change. So, if your fledgling has survived through the picking for five months, I will PM you about your Change. I will give you permission in the RP for you to change, and then you can. Just please, please wait for me to give you the ok. Once you have Changed, you can stay at the school or have your vamp leave/ I can imagine most of you would want them to stay. First of all, post your new vamp bio here. You can make yourself afew years older if you like, so your not a kid vampyre. If you stay, then you can become a professor, a mentor or both. In the PM I send you about your Change, I will ask you about this. If you wish to become a professor, then you will need to pick a subject to teach. It can't be something already filled, but you can train under a teacher that has a position filled. For example, if the position of poet teacher is filled, you can train under them, like be an assistant teacher. However, you will need their permission first, and PMing them asking them to study under them will be your responsibility. If they say yes, them you can tell me and start RPing as their "trainee". Your mentor, for the most part, decides when you are done with your training. But you can at anytime stop your training if you don't wish to continue. If you wish to simply be a mentor to students, then you can be around campus, monitoring students and making sure they don't get into trouble at the dinner hour and such. You will be assigned a fledgling, and if my choice of assignment to you is seriously not wanted, which I assure you will not happen often, then I can switch you. If your a trainee teacher, then you cannot be a mentor. However, if you wish to leave The House of Night, then you can announce it in the RP, and there will be no need to PM me. We will say our goodbyes, and you can go your own way.

Adding Characters When you add a new character, you first have to post your character bio here. Personality is not included in the bio skeleton, because as you RP, your personality will begin to develop and we will get to know you. Boys and girls are welcome, and if you don't want, you don't even have to RP as your own gender. And, of course, gay people are welcomed. As the Twins would say-please, just please, no Zoeys. You need to make your own fledgling. She is a rare fledgling, with amazing affinities. I'm not saying you can't have one of her affinities, but just don't go being all advanced on everyone, its kind of unfair. If you have an affinity, please describe in detail. Like, if you say just plain water, then details are needed. Do you draw your energy from water? Or can you control it? And lastly, I've decided to make things for interesting. This takes off of the book. Instead of just having cats hitch onto you, you can have any other mammal hitch onto you. Also, snakes are allowed. This is because snakes have been portrayed as evil in religion, when truly they are just a sign of female, and female has been degraded through the years. And just to demonstrate how strongly I feel about this, my animal attachment will be a snake. Go to the character page to find out more ^^ You don't have to have an attached animal when you come to the school, you can find one in the visits to town or just around the school. Once you have posted your character bio, just jump right in ^^

Ban Rules If you are doing things that are against the rules, you will first get a warning. If you stop, then everythings good. After a while, your warning fades. However, if you keep disobeying the rules, if may result in a temporary ban. This is where, from 2 days to a week, you can't post in the RP. If you do, the posts will be deleted and ignored. A longterm ban is if you being just plain disrespectful and rude. This ban is from 1 week up to 1 month. Most people would have to work pretty hard to get this one. These rules aren't to scare you. But they are here because I am setting up rules, and if I don't have something to back them up, they will just be ignored. Seriously, I don't wait to do any of these things. Ever. They are just in case.
