Musing, Briseis had let herself out of the cave where Lleshena and the newcomer were having dinner. All she could think about was everything that Lleshena had told her. He would be a lion from your past.. a male you had overlooked.. a male of great importance.. he will rescue you from yourself Bri.. Frowning, she couldn't help but remember when she was a child. She had once traveled to Eenon with her father and it was there that she had seen the male. Kraes.. Lleshena didn't believe him.. but Briseis knew that he was the nephew of the king, blood related. What he told her could have very well been the truth.

"You worry too much." Came a deep male voice which robbed Bri of her silence. Kraes sighed as he neared her, watching the moon twinkle above them as it watched. He couldn't help but think of Arei. As his eyes shifted he looked at her, taking in the very sight of her fur and the aroma she gave off. What was it about her that he immediately felt attracted? Even if she was a bit gruff around the edges. "I can see it.. in your eyes. You prefer to be alone. I'm not trying to intrude.. but you should give life a chance."

Huffing, Briseis took a deep look at the male. The moonlight that was showing down upon them made the stars and moon on her pelt glitter as if alive. Still, she said nothing which was growing rather annoying to Kraes. Her body shifted as she turned her back on him, letting him know she'd rather be speaking to anyone but him.

"You still won't speak to me..?" He frowned but didn't take her gestures as an answer. Instead he neared her closer, close enough that his fur was only inches from touching hers. "Would you at least tell me why I feel like I already know you..?"

Kraes watched the emotions play out over her face. She was mulling, considering and he could swear he saw her chew on her bottom lip. She was nervous! But what about he couldn't be too sure. Briseis moved, shifting uncomfortably at his prying eyes. She could feel that he was waiting for her to say something, anything, but she couldn't bring herself to. What did he want from her?

Glancing up, she let her eyes meet his, a frank look in her eyes that wanted to tell him to leave her alone. But as much as that was the thought in her head she couldn't bring herself to say it even though she was sure that would be all it took for him to actually leave. Instead, her eyes fell as the wind bullied its way between the two of them. Still... she didn't speak...

"Silent treatment?" He sighed. "You won't tell me anything, anything at all?" But as he spoke he realized all the more that the female would remain quiet. He would almost swear she couldn't speak but remembering when they met in the cave he was sure she had, only to Lleshena though. "You torture me Woman... what I would do only to hear you mutter but a few words.. the sweet remedy it would bring to a weary traveled male.." He was sure flowery words wouldn't help the situation, but he wasn't left with much more of an option.

Briseis let out a whimper. As her eyes were drawn over his figure she couldn't help but remember the feelings that had overwhelmed her when she first met him. He was older than her, much older, but even in her child-like stage she had developed a small crush on him. Now with him standing before her she wasn't sure if she couldn't speak out of vow or from the fact that she could feel butterflies dance around in the pit of her stomach. Was this a chance meeting? No... no... Lleshena told her of it, and now she felt like a fool. But even fools had hearts, even fools had ambitions and she couldn't let Lleshena win this one, could she? No.. she would fight fate with all her might.

"You still refuse me.." Kraes was flabbergasted. He had never met such a bullheaded female before except his sister when she had her days. He laughed at that thought, "You and my sister would get along." He noted at the randomness that had plagued him. "She is headstrong.. yet sweet. I have a feeling you can be the same way." But feelings were all he had to go by because this female somehow found him objectionable. Being here in this place was lonely and he couldn't imagine that the eccentric gypsy was much for company. She had to be as lonely as he was, maybe even more. "My sister's name is Jonkaim." He stated, trying to start up any sort of conversation in hopes that she would join in, but he knew the hope would go unfounded.

She had to admit to herself that in some small way he was slightly charming. Hearing him talk of his sister that way made her smile just a little. It had been so long since she had smiled, the notion had become a bit of a strain on her and quickly faded. She made sure he didn't see it. Why she stayed she wasn't sure, part of her was screaming to let the male be, the other part of her remembered the way she had felt when she was a child. The wonder of Eenon, the merriment of the lions that lived there. It was that part that kept her wanting to hear his stories of his home. It was those stories that made her wonder why of all places he had found himself here.

Kraes leaned back against a rock, his eyes pulling toward the sky. It was all he could do to watch the moon so that he wouldn't stare at how the emblems danced so beautifully across her fur. Smiling softly he had to be thankful that she hadn't at least run away. Maybe there was some hope for the girl after all. Though he didn't know if he could spend too long trying to work on that.

Shifting from the rock he moved toward her for a moment. "I can see that you have much on your mind. I think I'll leave you be to yourself. I will talk to you another day though. I promise. Goodnight." He gave her a brief smile, softly kissed her paw before turning to venture toward the cave.

Briseis let out a breath that she had been holding when Kraes finally retired. Part of her felt bad, but another part of her was still apprehensive of him. She couldn't help but bring herself to watch him as his figure disappeared into the darkness of the cave... Thoughts were wildly bouncing around in her head, answers to which she wasn't sure she wanted to know.
