I've read a news article about this a few months ago..and it just came back at me.
These aging moderators complained about the lyrics of 'Mirotic', claiming that some words and phrases were sexual.
._.
I mean, seriously, like, wtf?!
When I heard it, read the lyrics, I didn't find anything strange, and now they've said it, I'm beginning to see some things that can have double meanings.
Such as..."I got you under my skin"
Possible Meaning 1) Under 'my' control, or literally beneath the skin 'you're mine'
Possible Meaning 2) 'I' on top and 'you' on the bottom.
Now, most people usually perceive 'Mirotic' with the first meaning, right? What's wrong with the moderators?!
And...'You're my slave'
Possible Meaning 1) Referring to the loyalty and love of two people
Possible Meaning 2) Slave labor, or slaves for sexual purposes.
Again...fans would take the meaning as 1), not 2).
What the heck is it the moderators are thinking?
=======
If TVXQ wanted to do a live concert for 'Mirotic', they have to change the words of the lyrics. :/ How lame.
And...only +18 can buy Mirotic CD.
I don't have a problem with that, because I am 18...and my sister bought the CD before the moderators started complaining about it - anyway..
Seriously, some +50 year olds moderating modern songs are taking things wayy too badly.
If 'Mirotic' is to be considered +18, shouldn't 'Amigo' be like that too? I mean...the word "...sexy" isn't really appropriate for people under 16 at least...because that implies to something...hmm sexual.
What do you think?
