Are you commuting or living on campus? That makes a huge difference.

I sort of vaguely miss living on campus. More specifically, I miss Burger's apartment. xD so much fund times!

I think the campus and the people on it are what made it so interesting.

fire alarms going off in the middle of the night...random people shouting in and banging on your window... what could be better than that?

D'aaww, you guys' stories warm my heart~ :'D Also, it's a community college, so there aren't any dorms, to my knowledge. I drive there on Mondays and Wednesdays. Anyway, the first day is nice, but the building is really laptop unfriendly. There are no seats next to an outlet. Ever. Anywhere. And when there are, they aren't in network range. If the school network were a person, I'd throttle him and then nail his foot to the floor so he'd stop flaking out on me when I needed him.

i'd do the same thing. i almost throttled the internet connection at my grandma's house a couple summers ago when i stayed with her. i had to steal it from other people but it was so unreliable.
and yes, i still miss college. i wish i could go back there.

I got myself a job for my senior year. Its wonderful. a couple hours a week in front of students with a sword demonstrating and lecturing, 4 to 8 actually working with them, and fighting practice is paid at half rate, which is still better than minimum wage by a buck or 2. Course, so far I've needed first aid from working with students twice and once I almost needed stiches from a student who broke 3 safety rules and then got mad. He's kicked out of the program without refund.
As for internet stuff, my recommendation is to get a network card that allows for an antenna on a cable and then use it to get the antenna into range.

Dude, I would totally love how to swordfight. Fencing, too! That would be the coolest job in the world, Jeoc. My job... well, I actually just got fired from Quiznos, so... I suck.
But, I understand about that internet connection business. Right now, I just moved in to my first townhouse with my friends, and we don't really have internet, we're borrowing it from some silly unprotected network on the street. If this internet connection were a person, it would be a that lazy a** that never gets off of his couch, and occasionally loses consciousness at various times in the day. You can poke him awake a few times, but after a while there's no use.
