Slowly, the falling cold fluff fell onto the awaiting frozen land of the north. The dark blue helix snorted, clearing his nose of invading flakes. Castien's eyes scanned over the white landscape, trying to pick up the movement of a hare against the snow. It was rare that he found one (and even then, he did not really like them.), though he hunted the tiny things for Ainathiel, for his sister found them delectable. Finally, his eyes landed on a twitching pair of ears, and the dark blue adolescent crept towards the unsuspecting animal.
Ainathiel lay against the snow, curled into a ball against the white backdrop, waiting for Castien to finish hunting. Her body would be almost invisable, save for the loud bells and bright ribbons that adorned her body. But how could she get rid of them when she loved them so?

Heavy paws crashed through the snow covered ground of the tundra, a pale tail twitched its red tuft iritably as he paid no attention to where he was going. He blinked the fluffy flakes from his eyes as they cam down to land on him and the ground that surrounded him. The clouded sky was heavy with the stuff and he felt like it was pushing on him, driving him deeper into the snow. But that was just because his sister had once again ticked him off to no end. Stupid Kartala. Howl was suddenly slightly aware of scurrying paws, little creatures fleeing from his sudden arrival but payed it no mind, just kept on going.

Castien's legs tensed, as he drew ever closer. Just as he was about to spring upon the awaiting animal--it took off! The dark blue helix stared at the spot where the rabbit once occupied, wondering what had caused it to run. His ears flickered, and he glanced up to see a pale figure dashing through the falling snow. "Watch where you're going!" A rare flash of anger flickered across his normally calm and tender features. After all, his dinner had just been scared away.

Howl growled and slowed his furious march. "Yell at some one who cares, hmm Fluffy?" He glared with pure anoyancy at the helix that stood infront of him. Who was he to stop his rampage? Turning on a paw the young helix marched on.
"Howl!" A young, more delicate looking version of the helix who was marching away appeared out of no where in particular. After all, there was rarely a place to hide. "That wasn't very nice you know!" And Harlequin Kartala smiled as she watched her brother slow his step, turn, and look at her with pure hatred. "You should say your sorry, brother."
"Drop dead, Kartala."
Her gleefull smile continued. "Waiting on you, dear brother." She made a mock bow to him, holding his eyes the whole time.

Castien pulled back a bit. Fluffy? Well, that was a new one. He opened his maw, about to retort back in this unusual passion of anger, when an identical helix had appeared from seemingly nowhere. Castien remained where he was, eyes shifting between the quarreling pair. He'd caught the names admist their... discussion, despite how rude it was to listen in. It was hard not to, anyway.
The soft shuffle of snow had alerted him to Ainathiel's appearance, having been attracted by the new pair's voices. Ainathiel took a timid step towards the pair. "Excuse my interruption... But is this hostility necessary? It's hard enough to survive up here as it is..."

Kartala rolled her eyes and tsked. "Such bad manners my brother has!" She shook her head like it was a tragedy.
"Why am I plagued with you? Was there something in another life I did to deserve such a sister?!" Howl growled out at the dainty helix, he was undoubtedly pissed off, as always. The only time he wasn't was when his sister wasn't around.
Kartala sighed. "Probably brother." She turned on her paws and walked over to the strange helix and whispered. "You'll have to excuse him, I think our mother sat on him after birth and so he had a lack of oxygen. Never was right in the head." She shook her head in a pittying way, her golden eyes closed in sympathy.

Castien's gaze flickered between the argueing pair. They followed the female helix as she stepped closer. No flicker of laughter crossed him, though he smiled faintly. "I'll.. remember that." He whispered back, lightly shaking his head.
Ainathiel carefully padded up beside her brother, her gaze flicking between the other siblings. She wasn't quite sure what the problem was. Did all other siblings bicker like this? Sure, she and Castien would -sometimes- argue, but.. Then again, she and Castien looked nothing alike.. The white helix shook her head and cleared her throat, attempting to be heard once more. "If you don't mind my asking, but who are you..?"

Kartala grinned happily at the new helix. "I am Harlequin Kartala, but I like to be called Kartala." She winked and flashed the pair a grin before indicating her brother. "And that is Howl. My brother." Her ears made to lay back when she spoke of him but she managed to keep them forward...untill Howl started yelling at her for telling them his name.
Howl spun arround so fast the snow arround him stirred into the air before settling on the ground. "SInce when is it your place to give out my name, Kartala?" He took a few steps forward. "Who do you think you are?"
Kartalas ears went back as she gave him a smile that looked more like a snarl. "Oh, belive me Howl. I know who I am, no need to think about it."
