"Dear God oh thank you! Thank you for returning our blessed Messiah to us; thank you for allowing us to prosper once again! Praise the Prince!" A woman would yell in Romanian, the native tongue of all others one could only understand if they spoke the language. Otherwise, she was babbling. She'd make her way to the well made from ivory stones and reach for one of the golden goblets water flowed into before taking a long drink and placing it back. Another woman behind her would do the same and smile.
The village had prospered greatly. While paupers were still paupers, they could afford form-fitting, warm clothing and food to feed themselves and family! The streets were clean; most walked barefoot to enjoy the feeling of cool ivory stone beneath their feet. Vincent's reign had also brought with him cool, calming weather that allowed for perfect rains and the perfect amount of light for crops. Not a year went by that the harvest's weren't amazing. People never fought nor stole, but instead drank and shared stories with one another. Children were well-schooled and taxes were low low low.
A shady man dressed in a cloth robe would made his way into the town, bumping into a man a step sooner. The man would apologize while the shady finger would only cuss at the popper and scurry further...until he saw it. So many pikes...so many people upon them. Some still alive, some skeletons. A sign reading "Obey the Law" was wedged into the soil before the lot of piked individuals...the man would scurry once more, running to the fountain. He'd reach into the water and get a few drinks before a man would come by.
"No my friend, don't use your hands! We've tools laid out if you're thirsty!" The man would grab a full goblet and hand it to the shady individual who quickly downed the water...then took note of the gold. "Tell me peasant, is this REAL gold?" The pauper would laugh and pat the man on the back. "You must be new to Romania...yes, it is gold! And do you know who it belongs to?" The shady man would shake his head. "All of us!" The pauper would cry. "We've got all we need here thanks to the Prince, and with an honest days work, we can come back to our own homes and enjoy our own spoils! Amazing, isn't it? Enjoy, my new friend!"
As the pauper walked off, the shady man would look about. With no eyes on him he'd quickly pocket the goblet and make for the exit only to be met by two sentries.
"Stop. Where is the goblet, outsider?" The first sentry would say. "I...I don't know! I went to get another drink, and would you believe it? The goblet was gone! Someone had taken it!" His voice was shaky and full of fear. "Someone stole it? Outsider, if not you, then who? We saw you take it after speaking with a pauper." The second sentry would say. "It must have been the pauper! HE told me he'd been eying the gold and figured one less goblet would do no harm. He told me to cover him and make haste out of Romania!" His voice was still shaky, but a bit quicker to each work. Thus, the first sentry would go and grab the pauper around the neck. He'd question the pauper, though only screams could be heard from the shady man's distance. The sentry and pauper would disappear behind a brick wall, though the shady man's eyes lit up with horror to see it led to the pike lot where no doubt the sentry would impale the pauper before returning to the shady man. "Was it true then, sir?" The second sentry would ask. The first sentry would laugh and shake his head. "No no no, he was innocent, though he had been wanted for giving a bias discount to a woman he liked." Both sentries would laugh and the shady man would try to scream and run, though soon he was being dragged to the same spot. He'd beg for mercy, but he'd quickly silence as a bloody pike exited his mouth.
The woman that had drank from the fountain earlier would return, then shake her head though she smiled. "Such a shame they couldn't abide by such simple laws. Oh well!" She'd take another drink from the bloody goblet, wash it off, then return to her work...informing the sentries of suspicious individuals and of law-breakers.

Annette had moved directly to the pikes, not paying a whole lot of attention to teh commoners as she went about her business. Once her job was done, she couldn't help but stare at the handy work of teh sentries and there prior captives. "Suppose I should run that errand..." she said idly, not wanting to go inside just yet. She wondered a bit, finding the bakery rather easily. She walked in and looked around. 'It's a bakery Morbido, next time be more specific.' a very low annoyed growl purred from her, though she cut it short as she looked to teh woman at the counter. "There's a sentry out front that has asked that I bring him a certain loaf of bread, none to sure which it was though." she explained.

"Only one sentry ever come by this place; I know the boy yer talkin' 'bout. Still thinks I work outt'a stall; stuck in the past that one. But deep down he's sweet; always tips me even when he doesn't buy a damn thing." The old woman would shuffle off into the back and quickly return with a loaf of simple peasant bread. "Y'know, he refuses ta eat bread less it's this, but between you and me young lady...I think it's crap! Nothin' but peasant bread! Ah, ta each their own then...tell em' I'll run a tab for em' outt'a good faith." She'd nod her head, then use her hands to try and shoo the girl out. "Now away with ya! Pretty girl like yerself ain't s'posed ta be in places like this!"

Annette excepted the bread, giving a kind smile, but resisting the urge to show where teeth. "You have my thanks then, and I"ll do for him what he's not able." she moved and paid for the bread, leaving a nice tip as well. She bowed her head once in thanks and headed out. To her, bread was bread now a days, and none of it tasted good. She contemplated why Morbido liked something as hard and dry as the bread in her hand, but decided not to think to much on it as she headed for the gate.

Her wrinkled hand would come to count the money before chuckling and shaking he head. She'd put the proper amount in her little glass jar while taking the tip and placing it in the jar on her counter marked "For A Little Help" that she allowed people to take a certain percentage from to afford her bread. She had delicious bread aside from what the freak man liked, but to each their own.

The ground would begin to rumble all over the country. The Lich stood atop a bell tower, the robes coming to end at his feet seeming to flow as if they were alive. The skeletal hands of the Lich had been moving quickly while words of an old world were spoken in its icy hiss of a voice. The dead of Romania soon stood whether they had flesh or not. Graveyards would empty and the recently deceased in homes would open their eyes once more only to tear apart their family. Those with flesh seemed to go about clawing and tearing at their victims while the more skeletal minions would pick up various weapons and attack. Romania was quickly overrun with the dead; the good health Vincent had given them had not made up for the centuries of plagues and disease.
Once the attack was underway, the Lich would stop moving its hands. A pentagram remained in the air, one with a black orb moving from point to point. This was to symbolize the fact that if one of the dead fell in battle, it would rise again upon the ball hitting a point on the pentagram. Now, the Lich would begin to summon darker creatures from hell. Werewolves still riddled with silver would soon rise, along with ghoulish vampires burned and staked. And with them, two more balls would appear on the pentagram in the name of their ressurection.
Finally, the Lich would begin to concentrate on Vincent's castle in the far of distance. With a few moans and groans, the Lich's right hand seemed to be trying to move up, though it looked as if gravity would not allow it. Soon, his hand shot through the air and from the castle's graveyard would come an explosion. A winged demon would soar in the air towards the Lich, a screech being let out as it traveled. It would come to stop at the base of the bell tower, its cape molding into a cap of a very familiar looking Wallachian vampire. A very large orb would then appear on the pentagram that would move far slower then the others, but still moved.
"At last you rise, rightful heir to the throne of Romania! He has defiled your castle and your land...but I have given you back your army and even my own! Go forth, Vladimir Dracul II; go forth Dracula! Show them the cost of their treachery!" The vampire beneath him would unhinge its jaw and let out another screech before unsheathing its barbaric thorn-bladed sword and begin massacring everyone around him, and thus they would become part of the Lich's army. It would be less then a day before Romania was soon enslaved by his undead army. "Come, generals! Come and prove your worth! Die your glorious deaths and be added to Lord Spiral's army!"

"Hot damn, turnout's better than expected." Spiral said, sitting on a group of buildings as a makeshift throne. "You're pretty good. Not my style, but certainly worthy... Would you like some?" he pointed, a tiny feiry fragment blossoming on the tip of the finger. "Infinite cosmic power, baby!"

"Your compliments humble me, my Lord. But alas, your power is not my style. What I am cannot evolve, nor can it gain power. Do not worry, though, as I am more than capable of providing you with what you need." His sockets would look to the sky and one could almost swear a grin would form on his skull if it were at all possible. He'd raise both hands into the air, causing a swirl of dark clouds to form above him.
"They choose to live as if we were still in the ages of dragons and castles, thus I will give them something only the darkest part of their hearts could dream for!" From the clouds would emerge a long skeletal figure cloaked in wings, though once it hovered over the tower its wings would explode open to reveal a skeletal dragon, arms and legs included. It would let out a massive roar while using its flesh wings to keep adrift, then look about for a moment. In that moment, a black light would begin to form between its ribs and soon after it would release a breath of black fire to burn most of a village and several living soldiers, and of course its own troops. Which was fine given the Lich's revival magic.
"I have long since dreamt of the day I would see a kingdom, any kingdom, fall. True be it I could destroy a kingdom myself, as I have proved, I could not destroy its spirit. Revival or not, there are individuals, like Lord Kain and Lord Vincent, that could make their way through the waves straight to me...and I could not fight them." His arm would then extend out to Spiral and the Lich would let out a bellowing, cold laugh. "But that is where you come in, Lord Spiral! While I may destroy the kingdom, you can destroy its spirit!"
"Well now that's stupid. He might be a little techno-tarded, but the old man's nothing to scoff at nor is his army...well, at least not the generals. Obviously the peons are ill-equipped for the past kicking their asses." Morbido, the faithful sentry that usually stood at the gate had managed to track down the cause of this catastrophe...wasn't hard given all this weird s**t seemed to generate at a bell tower and the dark cloud previously over it proved him right. Thus, he now stood with his glaive resting gently atop the Lich's skull, waiting to crush it.
"You succeeded in destroying his ranks, that's for sure. We'd need to force breeding on em' to recover...but I think your use has come to an end their...whatever you are. Necromancer guy! Spiral used you to give em' a path-"
"I am aware of this you ignorant brat! My powers are to be used by others; I have known this since my creation! True be it my use here will come to an end, but there are other kingdoms; other worlds. And even when those worlds are under Lord Spiral's fist, his will know I am there to strike down revolts."
"...So giving you a speech on how you're being used is useless, eh? Well that sucks; wasn't really prepared for that. Hell, even if I killed you...err...re-killed you, it would hardly put a dent in Spiral's plans." He'd sigh and remove his helmet, now fully aware how useless his trek to the tower was. He'd lick the rings that held his jaw shut from his glasglow smile and move from the Lich, looking over the destruction.
"This is impressive, though. Vincent just sat back, biding his time out of fear. He just sat there thinking he could gain all of his power back and he'd be all-powerful with his Dark Lords...but he forgot two things. First: History repeats itself. His first four Lords failed n' one even killed him; how the hell did he think this would be different? Because there are five instead? His second mistake: The course of Evolution. While Vincent slept, the world evolved beyond his comprehension...it would have taken decades for him to catch up, something he didn't have."
The tip of his skeletal finger would tap Morbido, causing him to freeze completely. He wasn't dead, just frozen. "Well said, but that does not change the fact you were the sentry of the enemy, and are thus the enemy yourself. I assume you realized your position in removing your helmet...but your Fate is not yours to decide. It is Lord Spiral who will decide your Fate!" (( Sorry this was so long; starting to have fun with the Lich. Ha! Just keep in mind: Dude with glaive = Morbido, the servant OF Migoto, who is the general. Sorry I made their names so close to one another. ^-^;; )))

"Cute." Spiral said, tendrils wrapping around the icy statue to look closely at it. Spiral tilted his head from side to side, thinking to himself. "Well, you're damn lucky I can't possess the unwilling, or you'd be just another pawn. Instead, you have the honour of being my example." he stood. "PEOPLE OF ROMANIA!" he bellowed, standing, holding the icy being aloft. "TODAY IS THE BEGGINING OF A NEW AGE! AN AGE OF HEROES AND BEAUTY! BUT THERE ARE THOSE WHO STAND AGAISNT ME! VINCENT AND HIS GROUP OF FAIRY-TALE MONSTERS!" he laughed. "THEY PALE BEFORE THE MIGHT OF THE SPIRAL WARRIORS! BEHOLD, THE FATE OF ALL MY ENEMIES!" he crushed the statue, blood dripping between his fingers before he dropped it to earth and crushed the remains like an insect. "DO YOU STILL FEAR THEM? THEY WILL FALL BEFORE ME LIKE SO MANY ANTS!"

The Lich kept himself hidden behind Spiral now, acting like his dark shadow. When one speaks of an age of heroes, the last thing they want to see is some skeletal necromancer. From now on, he'd keep to low-lit or dark areas, shade namely, to keep himself from harming his Lord's image. "My Lord, if I may be so bold as to suggest you mention that these attacks are a cause of of Vincent's tyranny as to cast the blame far away from you?" He'd whisper like a ghost now more then a roaring...well, lich.

"As you wish my Lord." He'd quickly melt into a black puddle and quickly make his way to the bell tower's top once again. He'd create a mask from the darkness to hide his skeletal face and shift his robes into something less...death-mocking, and finally sheathe his hands in gloves though the very tips of the gloves were gone to allow for his icy touch. He'd look to the bell itself and tap it lightly, forcing it to begin ringing violently. He'd make sure his minions paid attention to him, thus forcing the remaining mortals to look to his position as well. Finally he'd begin to address them in their Romanian tongue.
"People of Romania, hear me now!" His voice was more booming and deep this time rather then cold and hissing. "A new age has befallen you, one of valorous heroes and majestic beauty! One such mighty hero has blessed your cursed grounds with his glorious presence!" He'd then create a pillar of ice beneath Spiral, raising him into the air for all to see. "Behold your savior, Romania! Behold your new King! But alas, the Lord you've come to love stands against this mighty hero! The Lord you have so blindly devoted yourselves to is an impostor; the true Vladimir Dracul II fights beside this hero as his loyal servant!" With that, he'd create a pillar beneath Dracula, raising him into the air as well, though only as high as Spiral's feet. "These are the beasts of the Dark Ages; vampires and werewolves have long since been neutralized as a threat! And now skeletons and zombies? You serve a man lost in the past! Come, Romania! Your new Lord will vanquish these dark beasts now as he has in the past and free you from Vincent the Impostor's dark clutches!"
By this point, the undead army was pretending to act as if there were something to fear and the mortals were communing amongst themselves, their overall moral turning and rising. "Vincent sends his Dark Lords to wipe you from the world; those of you that do not serve his army will fall as the rest have this day! Come, worship your new Lord, Lord Spiral! Show him your love and serve him for eternity and you will know true peace! Do not allow his Vanguard to treat you like vermin any longer; rise up against the Impostor Army in the name of Lord Spiral! In return, Lord Spiral shall vanquish this darkness from your once peaceful land! ALL HAIL LORD SPIRAL!"
The mortals would listen, having nothing and no one else to turn to in such dark times. Though, it wasn't until the first mortal wailed "HAIL SPIRAL!" that the others would join in with praise. Most would come flocking to the bell tower to fall to their knees and bow while others would arm themselves, ready to serve Spiral. Dracula himself would even cheer...but he had no choice.
The Lich would disappear from his position at the tower and emerge from his Lord's shadow, the dragon taking in another breath. "As a show of good faith to these monkeys may I suggest you slay the dragon, my Lord? There is no more fitting a beast for a hero to slay in the name of his people I believe...though I must ask, should I command my army to continue their assault...or do you wish them to do something else?"

"Send the army, and Dracul, to pester Vincent while I slay the dragon. If there is one thing, one strength humans hold that cannot be equaled by the strongest God... it is their hope!" he manifested his flaming blade. "Come, Lich, let us slay this dragon. After you tell the peasentry one more thing: IMMORTALITY AWAITS THE LOYAL! POWER AWAITS THE LOYAL! LOYALTY IS ALL I ASK FROM YOU, YOU MAY KEEP WHATEVER YOU EARN!" And then he turned, a long cloak flowing behind the massive mech, a red symbol that looked much like himself emblazoned upon it.

Narcisa's saliva was forming in her maw, as her claws gripped the tower she was perched on. She'd growl low and rather menacing as she listened to this..monster talk bad about Lord Vincent, her eyes loomed over to Dracula and she growled even louder. Her fangs bared as Lucian would be right under her at this moment, Annette would either be beside the lycan or on the other side. They needed a plan, but all Narcisa wanted to do was destroy the lich. Her armor cloaked in her darkness so she wasn't really able to been seen. She'd let out a soft growl since she wasn't able to communicate with Lucian and Annette in this form.

"Easy dog, I want the Lich, if you don't mind. Let the dead deal with the dead." Annette said calmly, standing on the towers roof as if gravity was not an issue for her. Her hand rested on teh hilt of her sword. There army is comprised of the dead, old and new. They seemed to have summoned Dracula as well. "Spiral seems to think that if they get rid of the dragon, the surviving towns people will side with him." she observed. She waited for Lucian and Narcissa's input, not wanting to jump on in and ruin any plan they may have.
