Annelise glided low among the treetops. She was on her way to see Ohanzee, and wanted to surprise him with her showing up. Hopefully he wouldn't mind. But she had no idea where his den was. He must be close, she thought as she flew past the first spot they had met.

Ohanzee was fixing up the nest he'd made for the shake with furs. He wanted it to be safe and warm. As he did so, his mind kept drifting to Annelise. Where was she? When would he see her again?

She flew lower and lower still. She was close, she could feel it. Annelise sighed. Since their first meeting, she couldn't stop thinking about Ohanzee and their shake. Flying past a green lump in a nest, she glanced thinking it was Ohanzee. Annelise circled back to see it was him making a nest for the shake. She hovered above him. "There you are," her voice soft and kind.

He yelped, startled by the sudden voice behind him. He managed to calm himself when he recognised the voice. Turning, he smiled up at her. "Hello Annelise." He left the shake in the comfy nest as he flew up and nuzzled his mate's cheek lovingly.

"I didn't mean to startle you," Annelise nuzzled him back lovingly. "And hello to you too Ohanzee. I've missed you." She then looked down at the nest, "You've done wonderfully for the shake," she commented her tail wrapping gently around his.

"It's alright. I was just so focused on our shake." He smiled, pulling her close with his paws, nuzzling her again. "As I have missed you Annelise. I'm so happy to see you."

"I'm happy to see you as well," Annelise snuggled against him. She had felt as though a piece was missing when they departed the last time, and now that she was with him, that missing piece was found. "How have you and the shake been?" she asked warmly.

"We have both been missing you. Will the three of us be staying together now?" He looked her in the eyes, what he had asked being a serious question. He was fully ready to spend the rest of his days with her.

"Yes, of course yes," Annelise smiled warmly and it reached her eyes. She could see he was serious, and she was too. She hadn't asked to stay with them before, because she didn't want to intrude upon his home. Though she too was more than ready to spend the rest of her days with him.Fin
