Materialization was an exhausting process. Raizen's soul had returned to his body and continued to sleep on, however the baby bunny had apparently found some reserved energy from the pendant and was wide awake. Her first thought was of her father. The amber eyes flickered open and she turned to look at him, gently prodding him in an attempt to wake him. Her insistent pushing did not rouse the man but loosened his grip on her enough that the next thought that came to her mind was easily enough accomplished. The infant child began to wriggle and struggle and soon found herself on the hospital floor.
Freedom! The baby bunny experimentally tested her legs, pushing off and finding herself landing on her front side, falling over by the length of her legs. She pushed herself up and began again, finding her legs - and the door out - soon enough. She was free, and new, and curious, and bounded out of not only Rai's company but also his protection as she set off through the hospital hallways and the emergency ward which had branched the break room Rai had fallen asleep in.
It wasn't long before she was spotted and over the intercom one of the clerk's voices could be heard, "Warning, code...erm....we don't have one. There is a BUNNY loose in the emergency ward. Please try to detain it in a safe manner for you and the animal. That is all."
The little girl, completely unable to understand, ignored the announcement and slipped into a quieter room without being noticed by the frantic company of interns and staff looking for her. There seemed to be a bunch of men gathered around a table that was lit up, the rest of the room being reasonably dark and quiet. She didn't much care for being alone in the gloom and darted under the table, leaning up against the leg of the one who looked like he was doing something and would least likely notice her.

"Can I have some suction here please?" Dragon asked, waiting until he saw the nurse bring forth the vacuum and start to clear the surgical field of blood.
He delved back into the patient once the field was sufficiently clear enough for him to see what he was doing - Ignoring the thing against his leg. One very important lesson he'd had to learn was to completely let distractions go. When doing surgery, the most important thing was the patient, and nothing - not even something against his leg - was going to spoil his concentration.

The little girl slid herself lightly against the leg in effort to get attention but to no avail. That was fine though and anger was lost on her as she peeked out from beneath the table and looked up at the boy. He looked like her daddy! This confused her so much that the little bunny girl came out from beneath the table completely and bounced up beside him.
While Dragon's concentration was unbreakable, the other staff was quite shocked to see a bunny rabbit child hop clear of the table and into plain sight only to vanish again into the dark of beneath the table. A few of the more fresh interns panicked, one or two scattering back from the table. The little girl thought this all quite amusing and hopped towards one or two of them. Fearing complications with the surgery, they backed away, trying to round about her as she followed after and around the table.

Dragon was not paying attention. This surgery was important, and he had his blood-soaked gloved hands deep into his patient, trying to excise the last of this tumor. It had been a long surgery thusfar, and he was almost done. He didn't have time to stop for a rabbit. He noticed it out of the corner of his eye. But when the interns started flailing and running...
"ALL OF YOU. Get back to your posts. If this boy has brain-damage because YOUR brains weren't engaged, I will personally hand you your a** on a silver platter, along with your resignation letter."
He narrowed his eyes at the nearest intern, and motioned with his head.
"IGNORE that thing, and get back here. I CAN do this by myself, but if I have to, I swear to the gods you won't be walking out of here unscathed. NOW."

The commanding voice not only effected the interns who promptly ran back to their places - but the bun as well. Such a sharp tone frightened the little one and sent her scurrying between their legs into a corner where her ears went back and she covered her eyes, cowering a little. Why was her daddy so upset? The infant couldn't fully understand it and sat quietly shivering there until the lights came back on some time later and exposed her to everyone in the room. She peeked out from her white laced fingers and up towards Dragon, wishing he'd come get her.
Meanwhile, her real father was panicking. Raizen was tearing through the hospital, asking everyone and their intern if they had seen the child. It had caused such a stir that the entire floor was abuzz with looking for the Arrikanez rabbit.

Once Dragon had finished with the surgical procedure, and the patient was well into post-op, the doctor went back into the room, and found the rabbit who had disturbed things. However, he was not angry. He was smiling as he knelt down, and extended his hand.
"Hello there, little one. I'm sorry about earlier, but this is a very important room, where very important things are done. I couldn't split my attention, or the boy I was working on would have died. You understand, right?"
His hand reached out, and took the bunny girl's.
"Let's find your papa and mama, eh? I'm sure they're worried sick about you."

Tears welled up in the baby bun's eyes as she perked up her ears slowly in response. She wasn't lost! Her papa was already found, and she let him know. With one great leap she sprung right up against him and clung possessively to his leg. Bright amber eyes peered up at her father and waited for him to pick her up. Tears spilled over as she sniffled softly and tugged gently at him, begging to be protected from the interns who were looking very intent on capturing her.
One of the interns from another procedure poked his head into the room briefly, passing on the message that had been circulating around the hospital for over an hour now. "Hey you guys, keep an eye out for a loose rabbit. Dr. Arrikanez said he lost his bunny or something. It's an Amber alert."

The white-coated man awkwardly wrapped his arms around the bunny girl, and lifted her up, holding her against his chest. He met the eyes of the intern, and canted his head to the girl in his arms.
"Tell Rai I've got her here." he said, reaching up to stroke her hair. "She's fine. A little shaken up, but fine. I don't think she saw anything of the surgery. Where did she come from? ... And why is she acting like I'm her dad?"

The intern sped off to find Raizen, leaving them be for a few minutes before they were joined by the frantic parent. Raizen had been run ragged, completely exhausted and looking like a madman running about to and fro in his search. It seemed he had not been forgotten and the bunny girl promptly reached for him as soon as he lay a hand on his lover's shoulder. Raizen gently stroked back her silken strands as he breathed a sigh of relief at having finally been reunited. "Gods, I was scared I'd lost you for good, little girl." Dragon's queries caused him to remember himself and he kissed the man tenderly before his explanation. "Dear, this is our little girl...from the necklace...I think."

Dragon went very quiet for a moment, then smiled gently at the rabbit, handing her over to Raizen to hold. Then, with an air of utter and total shock and surprise, his eyes rolled back in his head, and he hit the floor as he passed out.

This caused the girl to start crying as she witnessed her daddy pass out. She curled into Raizen's chest and tears started rolling forth as he leaned over slightly and commented to no one in particular, "Oh dear..."
Thankfully the interns were experienced with the oddities of their supervisor's family and had a cot prepared. Dragon was moved into a side room with his mate, left to waken gently in the comfortable chamber. His older brother hovered at his side, calming their new child with soft murmurs of affection and encouragement - confused and a bit hesitant as they were. The man had just become a father of four in a few nights after all, so he was a little lost himself as he tried to brighten up the little one.
Her mood did brighten considerably within a few minutes and ear rectified themselves to the normal upright stance of curiosity of the world around her. Her attention found itself on Dragon's stethoscope that she wrapped her little hands around and peered into her own reflection through the pure metal, tugging the chord a bit as she tried to gnaw a little at it, much to the chagrin of her father.

Awakening in a moment, his arm reached out and grabbed his stethoscope, tugging it away from the bunny girl, and replacing it with his hand. He let her play with his fingers while he gave his mate the b***h-eye.
"Raizen. I would LOVE to know why, exactly, I have a bunny rabbit for a daughter. And don't you DARE tell me it was an accident. Babies don't happen by 'accident'. Who was he, and for gods sakes, WHY? Don't I satisfy you? Aren't I enough? Who's head do I have to explode?"
He sighed, and sat up, still letting the rabbit play with his fingers. Rubbing his eyes and the back of his head, he returned to giving Rai the b***h-eye.
"You have a lot of explaining to do - I'd suggest you get started on it."

The girl explored his hand with renewed interest, gently separating the fingers and then measuring their width and length while the chest she leaned upon heaved a deep sigh. Raizen gently smoothed the child's ears as he looked directly into his lover's eyes with the most intense sense of hurt and sad honesty that one could stand without having a broken heart. Sadly, despite it being the pure and honest truth that shone through those ice blue eyes, even he knew how ridiculous this was going to sound. "I was in the garden and passed out after hitting my head. A purple woman, whom looked a lot like a bellhop, woke me up and told me I had an unbreakable, irremovable necklace on that was going to turn into a baby god. Love, please, I KNOW this is absolutely the most horrendously silly thing I've ever said but you MUST believe me. She told me that it would turn into a baby and to go put a pineapple on my head and I tried to tell you but you brushed me off when I did. She only just happened when I fell asleep in the breakroom and had a dream where this poor, beautiful woman was dead and as soon as I touched her...well...I had a baby, essentially." He looked down at the girl and frowned a little, trying not to let her see them fight. "I didn't sleep with anyone, if that's what your insinuating. No one could replace you as my angel..."

For a moment, Dragon was stock-still and silent, as he listened to the most ridiculous thing Raizen had ever told him. Then, he simply sighed, gave a chuckle, and shook his head, looking at the rabbit.
"Okay. I believe you. It's incredibly HARD to do so.. but you've only lied to me once, and that was to keep me alive. My trust in what you say is unshakable. But the question remains..."
He turned his gaze back to Rai.
"What the ******** hell are we supposed to do about that? Gods above, love - this is stranger than the time I had to give a lecture on the correct way to kiss a man and pretend it's CPR. I could barely live THAT one down. And now you expect me to just accept a... for lack of a better term... FURRY.. into the family with no questions asked? That's an awfully big order to fill, and you damn well ******** know it."

The sound of the smack was almost audible. Raizen clapped both hands over the child's ears and glared at Dragon sternly. "Love, the BABY!! I would appreciate her first words not being "********", "Damn", and "Furry." She's not a furry...she's...a baby? Anyway...yes, I am well aware of how bizarre all this is. I wasn't even informed it would be a SHE."
She, whom wriggled forcefully, pushing off Raizen's lap with her legs and trying to free herself from the grip. In retaliation to her complete loss of control of her rather sensitive ears, the baby decided the fingers were just thin enough to fit between her nice sharp little teeth and bit down hard on Dragon's hand whilst nearly nailing Raizen in the crotch with her legs.
His reflex was instantaneous and he bucked his hips, sending the poor child tumbling into Dragon's cot whilst he silently swore in pain despite his warning to Dragon.
