"I like it here," the lion that a human could possibly describe as raver-colored with his black base, orange and purple markings was sniffing carefully through unknown territory, "If we don't get run off again."
We? There was no one with him, not anything a blind lioness would be likely to sniff anyway. If she was VERY good at detection, she may think he had a very, very bad flea infestation.
But if you asked him, he would say that was pure nonsense! Fleas? No way! If any lea dared come near him, his eight-legger friends would be sure to eat 'em right up. Nothing was going to eat HIM!
Eight-legger friends? With vision, she'd be able to see the one spider standing up on his nose.
And was he talking to that spider???
Of course he was.
"Or if there's nothing that'll eat us and send us packing again," Cygnus noted, "Oh, hello!" The last was addressed to an unknown lion, "Forgive me, I'm new to the territory. Do you know of any good unmarked land?"

Shadows. Thats all she could ever see was shadows. However she couldn't see that the shadow approaching her was more than a shadow. She knew it was a lion by the smell and by the sound. It was a male. It made her flinch, she had horrible luck with males. The one time she thought she was lucky and settled down with a mate, even had cubs that failed her. There was no love for the rose petal sister. She was alone now. Broken away from her daughter too...
But the voice that she heard confused her there was only one around but he was talking... To who? No one apparently? It was confusing her. She was sitting up on a rock and on top of a rock looking in the males direction. She arched a brow as the male talked she licked her lips before shrugging. "I do not know of much of the land around here that is unclaimed... My brother has a nice amount of land not that far from the north..." She sighed as her hair fell over her eyes, there wasn't even a point to moving it. She looked up at the outline of what she could see in front of her before speaking once more.
"Who are you?" She asked gently. Her voice seemed slightly unconcerned. Never did she mean to sound rude but some times she did.

Cygnus Araña looked upwards to the lioness, sending her a huge smile, "Then I will be careful not to bother your brother. My name is Cygnus Araña, I and my pride are trying to find a safe home. The little lions were eaten out of the last one. Could you be so kind as to tell me your name, and if you know whether there are little lion eaters in these parts or not?"

Abla couldn't see the smile being turned up toward her... If she did her gaze would have changed. However with her state she couldn't see that smile and if the male couldn't figure it out then he might have considered her rude... A few others started to call her rude. It made her mad. She hated being considered rude. She wasn't. She couldn't see the smiles being turned at her she couldn't see the frowns at her. She arched a brow however in the direction of the male, not exactly at him.
"Little lions?" He asked arching a small brow. He wasn't that sure of what to think. She didn't know what he was talking about she wasn't that sure if she wanted to guess. The only little lions that she knew of were cubs. She didn't see the out lines of anycubs around and she didn't smell any. She was truely confused.

Cygnus Araña shifted his weight uneasily, glancing behind him as she seemed to not really be talking to him. But no one else was there, and the question was obviously in reply to what he'd said. Maybe she was anxious for someone to come? She struck him as anxious.
"Yes, the little lions of the little world that travel on me. The eight-leggers?" He tried to clarify to her as she didn't seem to get what he was saying. "Are you waiting for someone?"

Abla could feel some of his confusion in the air. She flicked her tail behind her and almost let out a snort. No, that would confuse him more. She crossed her paws in front of her the same stare that she had before was locked on to the distance. Her face lightened up as he said eight leggers. She remembered learning about those. Got bit by a few. Good thing those weren't the poisonous ones.
"Ah. Spiders. You let them travel on you? Thats nice. Poor little things always getting killed." Normally others would say that is strange, but not her she didn't mind she did think it was kind of nice. "No I'm not waiting for someone." She said plainly, a shrug rolling off her her shoulders. "No one is waiting for me I think." She let out a small laugh.

Cygnus Araña shifted his feet uneasily at Alba's nonverbal response, but cheered considerably when she spoke. He puffed a little, both out of relief and out of agreement with the lioness, "They are my pride. The eight-leggers are marvelous, noble creatures of the little world. It is sad. They were trying to eat them--I think the others hired the eaters."
His voice fell to a bit of a grumble, but then he shook himself, returning to something more positive in tone, "But no use in dwelling! There must be a place for us." He ventured on a little closer, "You didn't tell me your name, nor whether there was a territory we could safely go."

Abla let out a soft snort as she felt her hair fall over her eyes compelty. She sighed shaking her head, she really didn't care now... Not at all. She couldn't see anyway. What would it matter? She then chuckled slightly. "They aren't that bad, but I do have to say I'm not that sure about them living on me." She giggled slihgtly.
"Sorry Sir, my name is Abla." She smiled softly before nodding. "I have to say I don't think these exact lands are taken. Not at all. I know a few wander around here but that is about it." She shrugged.

He looked around to his coat, "Well, neither is that their preference. They will have a home elsewhere soon enough, I should hope."
Cygnus Araña looked around, "Well, Alba, I certainly wouldn't want to move into too closely to your brother either. Who knows when he may need to expand?"
Secretly though, he really had very little desire to settle in this close to all the insanity that he had seen since arriving at Pride Lands. The lions and lionesses here had thus far done little more than frighten him. Maybe he'd be able to move in a little further and be fortunate enough not to have landed in such strange grounds any longer.
He clawed into the grounds a little, uncertain as to continue the conversation with those less than pleasant conversation starters swimming around in his mind.

Abla chuckled at the male before nodding. "Well. I'd have to sat good luck, its always good to find a good place to stay. There should be some land not that far south of here. Not many go around it. My daughter stayed there with her mate before a bit before moving back around here." She shrugged. She was wondering if the male noticed that she was blind, she knew that some didn't catch on to that fact. That frustrated her often. She didn't like the fact that others didn't understand that she couldn't see. Then some times they would give her attitude.... some of them would make fun of her. She let out sigh hating the awkward feeling that was tarting to take to the air.

Cygnus Araña looked toward the south, looked back at Alba, frowned a bit, but finally shrugged with a shoot-why-not attitude. He walked around right up to Alba, then flopped down, "Want to go exploring a bit? I guess it wouldn't be exploring for you, but it may be fun." He tilted his head, "You can show me the end of the wandering borders."

Abla chuckled at the male, standing up then looking at him with a slightly nod. "It will be blind leading the blind, but I can do it." She shook her pelt off and started trotting toward where her brother's pride was. She would show him the borders that was for sure. She didn't want her brother in any fights. Plus she was thinking about heading that way sooon anyway. "Keep up." She called out .

Cygnus tilted his head, it just now dawning on him that this girl was actually blind-blind. Oops? Well, at least she was willing to help him out. That was more than he ever got. He grinned and went to trot after her, "Easy enough! What's your brother like? You're not leading me to ultimate death, are you?" He spoke with a cheerful jibe, "Or are you going to show me the most beautiful land there is to pull it away?"

Abla chuckled slightly at the male. Flicking her hair out of her eyes so she could get a better look at the shadows that they went past. "You are a male as you are with me. This might be the ultimate death for you, my brother is a little over protective, thats why I'm showing you where the border is." She chuckled slightly. Her brother was very much on the over protective side and she knew that for a fact. "As for if the lands are beautiful I'm not sure If I can tell you." She gave him a small nod before continuing her trot forward. She wasn't that sure about leading the male to her brother's borders but at the same time she knew it was good to show him the borders so he couldn't make a mistake that he would surely regret.

Cygnus was all grins now, "Well, then, I shall die glad to have met a kind soul before then. At least, a really good actress. I'll choose to believe you're kind."
Then he took in a breath and made a big pffffttthhh sound. "Yeah, right! The smells, the feelings on yourself, the way to live and be. Nice has only just a bit to do with sight." Cygnus chuckled awhile then, "At least you don't have the eight-leggers on you feeling all the time."
Seriously, you wanted to talk handicaps? Try not being able to lie down for fear of squishing your pride mates...
