[This was for my Creative Writing class. The assignment was for us to take our favorite story and change the perspective. Soooo, can you guess which story I took? *gringrin* ]
We swam for quite a ways before she submerged us both from the water. I wasn’t used to the weight the air seemed to have, so I began to slip off of the teenager I had been trying to cover all these years. Once she noticed I was slowly returning to the water without her, she let out a gasp and yanked me back into place; from my point of view, her cheeks looked slightly flushed from the over exposure. Even so, she seemed to be stalking this odd ship. Quicker than I could comprehend, we dove back into the water, just to be submerged again; only this time we were on this wooden ledge that was on the side of the ship.
I began to slip again just as this furry, frizzy, King Trident look alike but with more hair came along and sniffed me. I was appalled by such rudeness. Though I couldn’t do anything about it because all I was/am is a pair of sea shells. I swear Ariel needed to get my sister instead; at least she would have been able to stay up. But no!! Ariel had to get the bigger shells just because they were purple. Pfft, teenagers are so impractical.
