The pup moved across the frosted ground with the grace of a young bull elk, his legs too long and his gait an amble. His tail, tucked warmly between his thighs, drug the ground, leaving a line behind him. His pelt was a pristine white, smudged with lavender and violet, pastel and brilliant hues like a splash of watercolor upon his coat. He was unique, to say in the least. Not that he knew this.
He was young. He was tired of walking. He was cold. He even missed his mother, her lavender face so beautiful in his fresh memory. But she was gone now and he was alone.
New scents tickled his nose. They weren't the same smells he'd breathed in back in Gomorrah. Those smells had been almost dangerous. No...this held a pinch of insanity, but the love of a family. Seiphyr's ears perked up. Or many families. He could smell puppies...so many puppies...
And he made his way into Agua Azul with his head up and his heart beating wildly.

She lay sprawled across the floor of the den, the cool winter wind blowing against her coat and blowing dust across the floor. Blue eyes followed the dust mites, but they held no true interest.
Padding into the den came her firstborn, Lithium, her violet pelt stunning in the sunlight. Bipolar grinned. Lith was the one that most resembled herself. Schitzophrenia, the middle pup, was the color of her father. LSD, their only boy, had a pelt of tropical hues. And Lith was the only one that seemed to be...well... Normal.
Not that it mattered to Bipolar. She herself wasn't normal. Who was she to judge her own children?

Lithium pranced into the den with a grin on her face. There was always a grin on her face, but today it was much wider than normal. Her mother gazed up at her and flicked and ear, cocking her head to one side. Lithi merely laughed and pounced on her, nibbling at her muzzle.
"There's someone watching us, Mother," she murmured, then burst into giggles, peeking out the den's entrance shyly.
This made Bipolar perk up, the omega's lips rising slightly. Lithium lowered her ears and her head, butting up against BP. "It's okay, Momma. He won't hurt us..."

Seiphyr padded closer and closer, the scents getting thicker and thicker. He was afraid he'd get caught before he could find what he came here for. Which was what, he wasn't sure.
Creeping closer to a clearing and a den surrounded by wood, he saw a pretty violet-pelted pup playing in the snow. She snapped and danced around, getting piles on her nose and head and taking off running.
Then her eyes met his and she froze, glancing back to the den and quickly running into it, out of sight. Seiphyr's heart fell and he sat down. She was afraid of him...
And then two noses peeked out of the stone den. The puppy, and her mother. He felt his tail give a wiggle and he stood up and took a few steps forwards.

Bipolar watched as the flashy little pup trot forwards bravely. His tail was low but in his eyes were determination. Determination for what, she wondered.
"Stay here," she cautioned to her daughter, then slinked forwards on fleet feet, meeting the stranger halfway to the den with a soft growl. "You aren't from around here... You don't belong in this land..." Word had it that Agua Azul was sitting on the edge of a battle with the neighboring packs. This pup could be a spy... Her ears flattened and she glared at the pup, then felt reproachful.
He was just a pup... She hissed inwardly at her own behavior, then sat down in the snow. "Where are you from?"

As the she-wolf came forwards, his heart leaped into his throat. She was glaring fire at him and he hadn't even done anything! He lowered his ears and uttered a whine, trying to see why she didn't like him. Maybe she just wasn't a friendly wolf...
"I...I don't know. But I've walked a long way... I don't know..." was his murmur as he looked down at his paws.
He truly didn't know. He had woken up from a dead sleep, curled up against his sister. The scent of blood was thick in the air and his mother's eyes were wild as she peered out from the den they stayed in. She was watching something, horrified. "Seiphyr, Kisa... You must go. You must run away from here..." she had said. The pups tucked their tails and darted into the darkness.
"I was with my sister, but we got split up."
Something had taken her from him. They had slowed down to rest and one minute she was there, the next she was gone. Missing. He ran even farther, even faster then, fearing he was the next to disappear.
"I don't even know where I am..."

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught Lithium heading towards them. She spun on her daughter with a growl, sending the little pup skittering backwards, before tending to the pup of white and lavender once again.
"What about your mother?" Surely she hadn't been the one to send such young puppies off. The thought of sending Lithium and LSD away forever both frightened and worried the young mother.

He could remember the pain in his mother's blue eyes as she told them to run. It was haunting. Seiphyr shivered against the wind, looking dolefully up at Bipolar. "She saw something bad. Something that she didn't want us to see, so she sent us away. She told us to run as fast as we could, to never look back."
He gazed past the violet and pink wolf, seeing the young one peering out of the den's mouth. She looked excited, happy to be alive. His heart swelled slightly. She was beautiful...
"I'm Seiphyr... Can't I stay for just awhile? I'm tired of running," he admitted with a groan.

Seiphyr. The name wasn't familiar. Surely he wasn't from Akiiki Chibale. Surely he wasn't a spy. That it was just her nervous tendencies trying to frighten her. She gazed over his head, to where she'd seen her family off earlier that day. LSD had gone with the pup-sitter, Rend, and Phrenia was with her dad. They'd return by dusk. And what would they say?
Bipolar's head swung to greet Lithium's green gaze once more. She had the eyes of her father, though he kept his hidden away. Slowly she smiled. Paranoia wouldn't mind another pup. LSD and Phrenia would be pleased to have a playmate other than themselves.
Nodding to the young male, she wagged her tail. "You can stay, but just for a little while." She got to her feet and strode back into the den, where her daughter sat. "Go ahead, Lithi. He's okay..."
