Venera sniffed at a flower, it had a curious scent which reminded her of berries that she had managed to get covered in as a pup. The flowers color was a shade of violet and she briefly admired its beauty as she sat before it before moving to lay on her back, belly up so she could look at the sky and try and see any shapes in the clouds.' Clouds, what were clouds made of anyway? ' she pondered this as she lay in the soft grass, which was still slightly wet from the morning dew. Relaxing and solving natures mysteries was probably her favorite things to do, and right now she was doing both. She smiled leaning back, snuggling into the grass, and looked at the sky.

Artemas' stomach grumbled and a soft chuckle soon followed after. He had been trying to nap by a river, but hunger had got the better of the blue, fox colored male. He hadn't recieved much sleep that night before since he had been up studying the stars. Despite his fatigue, he'd have to get himself some food before he could even hope to nap. Now what to eat...? He stuck his nose up in the air and tried to get a good whiff of something that might be edible. Nothing came to him, but the smell of the flowers that grew nearby the river. He sighed again and smiled half heartedly. Nothing in life came easy. Maybe that's what made life worth living. And so, Artemas was forced to begin a hunt. He was in the mood for berries. Something about the flowers made him think of them. Good thing he knew of a place nearby.

Venera rolled over and nipped gently at a flower that was by her with a grin, "I hope there aren't any bees on you," she muttered remembering an unfortunate encounter she had had with a bee hive several weeks ago, boy that had taught her a lesson. Don't sniff things that buzz. She chuckled and sat up, 'now what?' she glanced around looking for anything of interest, or anything to avoid, seeing nothing of interest scratched at her ear looking rather bored. 'Maybe check out some more of this area?' she shrugged at the thought and rose from her spot, 'which way first?' she glanced in either direction before wandering about aimlessly by the river side.

Artemas yawned and shook his head quickly to wake himself up a bit more as he walked alongside the river. He hummed a tune to himself and sniffed here and there to try to catch the scent he was after. As he walked along he saw some small fish swimming about and stopped to watch them. It might be easier for him if he just went fishing instead of going on a berry hunt, but his urge of berries was starting to complicate things. He sighed and sat down. Now what was he to do...?

Venera smiled as she followed the rivers path, following it gave her more of a purpose than meaningless wandering did. She gazed at the waters surface as she walked, it was so clear and blue with it's constant rippling. As her eyes drifted away from the waters surface she spotted a patch of unusual color and a smile spread across her face, so she wasn't alone here it seemed. She slowly made her way over towards the patch of bright blue up ahead, "hello!" she called tilting her head as she walked.

Artemas craned his head around to find the owner of the voice. He smiled as he saw the new female. It was always nice to see a new face. "Hello there. Taking a walk by the river as well? Well, perhaps I shouldn't say "as well" since that's not exactly what I'm doing..." He laughed gently. He turned around completely since his neck was hurting him in that position. "My name is Artemas. Can I be of any help to you, miss?"

Venera tilted her head smiling, "Not exactly a walk in my case either," she chuckled glancing around, "more like wandering aimlessly, It just happens to be that I'm near the river is all," she shrugged. The position he was in couldn't have been that comfortable, but she wasn't sure, she would have to try craning her neck like that later to find out. "Ah, Artemas, nice to meet you." she smiled and nodded, "My name is Venera," she said before spotting a small insect that caught her attention, she crouched down and stared at it, "hmm..." she glanced away back at Artemas. "I don't need any help with anything, or at least i don't think so..."

"Pleasure to meet you, Venera." Artemas chuckled gently as he watched her. He tilted his head as he spotted the bug too. "Ah I see. Well, if you do think of anything you need help with I'd happily assist. Though... I may need to grab lunch first. My origional plan was to snatch up some berries for lunch. I'm actually a bit hungry right now." He leaned down a bit more to get a better look of the bug. "Bugs are amazing. You know, I think they must have the biggest population in this forest or something. You seem them everywhere." He smiled. "If I am speaking too much, feel free to shut me up."

Venera nodded and glanced briefly at him before turning her attention back to the bug, she started counting it's spots as she noted that it's color was similar to her's. "Nah i don't need any help with anything, though maybe i could help you find some food. Berries sound good right about now. "she grinned it was rather funny, she had just been thinking about berries a little while ago. "Bugs are pretty fascinating, and there sure are a lot of them." She laughed and tilted her head to the side, "I wouldn't be surprised if they did have the biggest population, they kind of have to in order to keep their species alive since they are always getting squished." she laughed and looked at him, seemed he liked bugs as much as she did, "no, no your not speaking too much, i like listening to people talk," she was sort of curious as to how people were able speak anyway, and who made the language they used.

(( 8D These two are a lot a like... The way Venera wonders about me reminds me of how Artemas questions stuff. <3 ))
Artemas laughed. "Squished! Oh so true. They do. It's rather sad, really. They don't really mean that much harm, I would imagine. It must be a tough life for them..." He stared down at the bug for another moment before looking up at the dragonfly before him again. "Really? You would want to help me? That would be very nice. Having company for lunch would be good too. Do you know anywhere around here where we could find some berries?" He stood up and looked down at the water, getting an idea on how to repay the other. "If you want fish for the help, I could try to catch you some fish too if you'd like. There are plenty here."

9 hee hee yeah they are biggrin Venera never really grew out of the curious puppy stage XD;; )
Venera nodded chuckling, "yep... it is a bit of a pity ... except for those itchy ones! I'm fine without them" she smiled and glanced at the grass. "I suppose their lives are relatively simple and peaceful ones, I mean you never see bugs fighting anyone . They're probably pretty well adjusted to the tough life they have though." She glanced up at him and tilted her head, "yep! I would love to help you," she beamed before glancing around, "well my favorite berries grow along the edge of the trees near here." She jerked her head over to the right to point where she meant, "you don't have to give me anything, your company is good enough."

Artemas beamed at her. "Really? Wonderful then! A lunch rendez-vous it is." He chuckled and his tail wagged happily behind him. Someone to talk to, how perfect! He loved to discuss things with others and this female just as interested in conversation as he did. "Shall we proceed now then or maybe we should take a quick drink first... I'm not too thirsty, but... I do not want to be a bother or anything if you wish for a drink, ah I'm rambling again...."

Venera smiled back, his happiness was so infectious! "I guess it is," she smiled watching his movements which seemed to show his elation, she almost wondered how someone could be so purely joyful. "Don't worry about me, if I need a drink I'll let you know!" She laughed, "nothing wrong with rambling, I do it myself sometimes, but it's usually about weird stuff like why leaves are different shapes and the like. People tend to get bored pretty fast, but your rambling about interesting stuff at least." A giggle escaped her lips and she nudged him with her head, "lets go!"

"You wonder about leaves as well?" Artemas was amazed. He had found someone who wondered about different things that he considered interesting. He never thought he would be able to meet someone like this. From what he had seen, his constant questioning of the world seemed unusual. "Something tells me your ramblings would probably interest me... So if you feel the need feel free to ramble as well! I ramble about things that seem "weird" all the time. It's not an issue at all," He chuckled and nodded his head. "Yes. Let’s move on then."
