Here is a place where you can discuss the types of music that you're following at the moment. Since none of us live in japan, we have to rely on each other in order to keep current with the latest crazes. So, post who you're interested in here, and maybe photos or something.... Links on youtube... the whole shabam!
Oh, and by the way folks, it's okay if we've already heard of your groups. This is just a space to talk about any kind of anything about them that you like.

This is one of my favorite songs, and one of my favorite music videos. It is by Kanon Wakeshima and called Still doll. You might recognize it as the ending song to Vampire Knight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWUxZ7LIUss~ : heart : ~

Yama, chickie: when you have the option of reading song lyrics, would you rather read them in kanji or in standard hirigana/romanji? Or, do you prefer to just listen to the song for understanding?

Miss Chloie Yama, chickie: when you have the option of reading song lyrics, would you rather read them in kanji or in standard hirigana/romanji? Or, do you prefer to just listen to the song for understanding? I like to try getting as much as I can form listening, however, if I was reading the lyrics standard hiragana/romanji would be my preference. That is just do to my limited Kanji knowledge. Hopefully that $400 dictionary will help with that though. 3nodding

Japanese is such an expensive language to learn! I hope that your contact comes thru for you so you can get your hands on that dictionary. I could go bonkers again with many pictures of the very few and select bands that I recognize and ''actively'' listen to, but I'm slightly exhausted from spamming your Fatal Frame thread with pictures of TB and Mafuyu 4laugh

So far, I like Kurage Nagareboshi the most. ^o^ And 360 degrees is quite catchy.

Chloie - I wasn't sure how I felt about it at the beginning but that's a pretty catchy song! lol I like Utada Hikaru. And Maaya Sakamoto. But my favorite has to be X Japan. I got into them in high school and was super sad because they had already broken up by then. Not sure how I feel about their new stuff now that they've found a replacement for Hide. I also love that all of them were fluent it at least three other languages!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Beujgb0OBeY How sexy is that glass piano??!! And how about that hair? lol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QELIi9TM7tw Love this song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8V9CrjIsXc Cause nothing is cooler than an anime PV!
Is anyone familiar with Olivia Lufkin? She's half Japanese and did the voice of Reira in NANA (which was funny because Reira was half as well and when she suddenly starts speaking perfect english while everyone else is babbling in Japanese it's rather startling!) It was weird to hear her speak because she speaks English without an accent and speaks Japanese like a native (I believe she is) and it's weird because usually when you hear Japanese speakers speaking English it has a distinct accent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glanQFGOEIA This is a song from NANA that she wrote and I loooove
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BJlRSfh1Cc Another fun one

I purchased a Nana CD at the most recent convention that I went to because I loved the opening theme song---but then I burned it on a CD and now it drives me crazy! I should definately listen to the other songs on the CD so that I can fall in love with some more lol. If it weren't illegal I would share these things with you guys.

xD I love Still Doll, it's sadly one of the most creepiest songs I've heard. Though I guess I may get freaked out too easily... Right now I really like Aqua Timez and YUI... It's really no surprise they both preformed themes from Bleach...
