Homeworld: Ukrith'tanshk (Drathonian, planet yet undiscovered by Terrans) Sector: Gamma 5 Population: < 10,00 still free-roaming; ~250,000 in Drathonian captivity Language/Communication: No language; communicates via patterned tapping and clicking, or in more "intimate" situations by low, guttural growls. Howls or shrieks only in moments of great anguish or urgency. Sexuality: Unisex hermaphrodites (all have both genitalia) Average Life Expectancy: 32; oldest recorded was 49. Physical Description: -Average height: 1m (at the rump) -Average length: 2.5m (head-to-tail), 2.8m (head-to-toe, legs fully extended) -Average width: .75m (hip-to-hip) -Average weight: 60kg (approx. 130 lbs.) -Coloring: The feet are a very dark brown, steadily lightening up to the rump. All along the upper half the sandfrog is a sandy brown, and as you continue toward its underside it becomes darker, but never matching the feet. As you move farther down the tail the underside also becomes the lighter sandy hue. No discolorations have been recorded. -Physique: The head is approximately even with the knees laterally, but sits lower to the ground. The arms are quite miniscule and have relatively little application: communication and simple tearing. Three talons are on each arm, two forward and one back. Each foot has three talons up front and one behind the ankle. The head is shaped similar to that of a velociraptor's, but lacks eye sockets; the nostrils are on either side, just above the ear holes. The skin is rough like a komodo dragon, and is particularly tough as you get closer to the feet. Their softest area is near that surrounding the genitalia. Psychology: Non-tribal; no collaboration; free-spirited; unsocial; non-territorial. Each sandfrog lives its own life, wandering when and where it pleases. Relationships are limited strictly to mother-daughter during the first three months after birth during which the child is taught to hunt, communicate, and... relate to other sandfrogs. However, sandfrogs do not ignore each other entirely. A call for help is always answered, and teamwork during a hunt occurs when the prey is larger than the sandfrogs. Other Notes: They have no a**s; like owls, they regurgitate what they cannot digest. They lack the ability to see, but have a limited sonar (similar to bats, used mostly to judge the size of objects in their proximity). Hearing is their strongest sense, and their sense of smell roughly matches that of humans.

Only edit I would make is changing the population. That number would put it on the endangered species list... and from what you've said, it is used across the galaxy by Drathonian forces. I'd add a few zeros to the end of the number in captivity.
