A long, clear river gurgled as it wound around the Southern lands before hiding behind the trees of the forest, its smooth surface broken only once when a shimmering silver fish leaped up to snap at a passing fly. The sun, hot and bright high up in the sky, reflected among the wet stones near the river, causing bright flashes to appear when looked at from a certain angle. Nearby, a bird chirped, and others joined in soon after, their cries filling the air in a matter of seconds. The emerald green leaves of the trees they were on swayed slightly when a soft wind blew and a few of the crimson apples fell, landing on the soft grass with a muffled thump.

Suddenly, the chirping ceased and even the wind grew still when bright, intelligent, tuquoise eyes peered from within the depths of the forest. They scanned the empty field by the edge of the trees before blinking once and disappearing. They reappeared soon after, farther off but closer to the river. Moments later, a beautiful silver helix slid out from between the trees her tounge dangling in a wide grin. She ran across the field for the pure joy of it, enjoying the feel of the wind caressing her fur, and she felt as if she were flying. She looked a bit different from the other helixes, though, because she had a large bushy tail, not unlike those of a wolf, and a golden, heart-shaped bracelet on each of her forelegs. She continued her sprint for a long while, showing that she was more powerful than the average helix. Finally, she came to a stop near the river, panting hard but the smile still plastered on her face. She took a long drink before throwing herself into the waters to cool down the rest of her body.

- No pic yet XD -

As the chirping came to a stop Aikou's ears perked and his eyes darted up and down the river. He was a bit down stream and his grey fur pattern sparkled wet from the water. He saw a glimmer of something else grey and he tilted his head. His bushy tail waved in the wind until it stopped and he became cautious. Blue eyes darting from here to there the sand sunk under his feet as he went into the condensed part of the forest and ran down the edge of the stream. He was consealed in the forest as he drew closer to the grey object his powers making no noise barely touching the ground.

Suki sighed, rolling over a bit so that she was resting on the bottom of the river on her side. She sighed, her flashing fangs glinting on the river's surface for an instant. She rested her head on the bank, her eyelids drooping. She knew falling asleep in water wouldn't be healthy for her fur and skin but the sun was there, and its warm rays were lulling her into slumber. Her brows furrowed slightly as a school of fish passed by, causing shifts in the current that ran against her fur in tickling movements. She grumbled and reluctantly dragged herself out of the water, shivering from the cold. She shook the water our of her fur, the drops of water causing small rainbows before becoming a dark splotch on the rocks. She circled once, twice, and prepared to sleep again when the wind suddenly changed directions. She fancied she could scent another close by and she raised her ears warily, her nose twitching as she took tentative sniffs of the air.

As he saw the glitter of a small rainbow Aikou couldn't help but chuckle to himself. He kept his tail off the ground so he wouldn't need another bath and his eyes were determined. Soon he was close enough to make out simple features of the other. He gasped silently. She had a bushy tail. Its was suprising how suprised he was. He looked at her as she circled and sighed, he wasn't going to go wake her up from slumber. But the the wind changed and she caught his scent. One foot at a time he took himself out of the edge of the forest to say hello.

Suki paused and turned her head a bit when she saw another helix appear from the forest. Her lips raised in a snarl and she bristled her fur instinctively until she remembered where she was. Sitting down, she attempted to smooth out her fur, not wanting to appear rude, licking the small clumps of raised fur back down. While she did so, she watched the other as it took a step forward, and by its scent, she assumed it was a male. When she thought she looked fine, she stood up again and walked towards him as well, surprised when she noticed that his tail was the same as hers. "Hello," she purred softly when they were close enough. She raised her tail in greeting, hoping that by showing they were similar in some way, he would not take insult from her previous actions. By then she was sure the dark gray male in front of her was older and of higher status. She dipped her head slightly and snuffled lightly, still hoping to appease to him. It wouldn't be good for her if someone she barely met decided she was an enemy, especially one with a status just under Alpha. The coloring of his coat was, like his tail, similar to hers, as well as his eyes, and she wondered if a light silver pelt wasn't as uncommon as she once thought. Her head tilted to the side as she pondered over this.

Aikou pulled himself out of the forest and the other wolf got up. She took a defensive and he didn't, he could still strike if she did. He was a lot larger then her, she must have been a adolescent. She calmed and rose her fluffy tail probably for some comparison and he rose his as well. His pelt and her pelt matched also, and her eyes which was one thing he looked into were blue like his. " Hello " he said in a calm voice seeing as she was trying to show him that she didn't mean the enraged first meet. He wasn't about to make someone younger an enemy especially a female. He waked a bit closer and soon they were no more then a yard apart he smmiled and said " Hello young on... " He tail swayed in the wind as it started again.

Suki smiled when she noticed that he was looking into her eyes. He didn't seem offended and she fluffed her tail in relief. Her ears flicked in slight irritation at being called a young one but that was all. It was true, she supposed, that since he was much older than her, he would see her as she did a pup. She studied his features for a moment, admiring his bold markings. Besides the way he carried himself, his dark back showed, too, that he wasn't that far off from an Alpha. "Greetings." she finally said, breaking the silence. A soft wind started and her fur rippled. "What brings you here?" she asked, wondering why someone of his rank was without a pack. Surely, an alpha would be proud to have him, as she didn't think there were many betas in the South. Perhaps he was visiting? She sat, unsure of whether his explanation would be long or not, or whether he would tell her at all. Some helixes were secretive like that.

His grey fur rippled as he said " Salutations " And then he puzzled on her question. He puzzled on his own answer. " Well i saw something silver and i guess i came to see unless you mean what i am doing in the south it is becouse ilove the warmth but if you wish to know about my existence... " He stopped himself there and chuckled " I am truly sorry..." He saw is tail going back and forth. His eyes finally let hers free and he looked at the river behind he.

"That's all right." Suki said politely, curling her tail around her paws. "You've already answered well enough." She felt herself getting overconfident again and she shook her head. "Yes, the South is quite warm, isn't it? I've heard that the cold snow has reached all the other lands, but not here. I suppose that's a good thing, but I've always wondered what snow was like." she murmured thoughtfully. "You know, my ancestors came from the North. It's where my pelt came from, because this shade of grey and white helped them blend with the rocks and snow." She didn't really think this information was relevant to their conversation but since it explained how she got her pelt, perhaps he would explain how he got his. It made her curious. She noticed his tail was waving. Was he pleased with the conversation? She raised her tail slightly to wave back, but then he looked away and she frowned. She followed the direction of his gaze to the river behind her and watched a few more fish darted past. She was still slightly soaked so it wouldn't hurt to go in again. "Perhaps it's too warm here." She chuckled, wondering if he would like to go swim with her.

He listened to her and nodded “ I honestly don’t know were my ancestors are from, probably from the north as you said as they our pelts seem so similar “ He said with a nod of his head. He didn’t look to his history at all, or ever. He then nodded when she said it was hot “ I saw you jumping in the water before. . . at the moment I feel like it would be a good idea don’t you think? “ He said. The silver of her pelt made light bounce off and hurt his eyes. He winced but then chuckled to himself.

Suki laughed, her swishing tail causing the nearby stones to bounce away and land with a plop into the river. "I do, as well." she said, shaking herself. She stepped closer to the river and looked back when her forepaws were in. "Coming?" she asked, walking once more into the cool waters. She sighed, feeling the heat drain away from her body. Even though the time she spent outside wasn't very long, the sun seemed especially hot today and she padded a few feet to one side, where the ground leveled away beneath her so she could swim. A nearby frond brushed her cheek as she swam past and she playfully pounded on the water's surface with a paw. She would have liked to continue splashing herself but she soon found out that it made her lose her balance so she settled with attempting to catch the fish swimming under with her claws.
