Lesmir Broodlings
Lesmir are very versatile, and each brood type contributes to the hive in one way or another. The Hatcheries are usually located in the middle of their Cities, and are well-protected.
Maltir Warrior- Not as intelligent, but still able to learn, the Maltir Warriors are Maltir pods stolen from breeding plants and trained in the ways of their Lesmir Captors. They retain some ability to gradually change their size and purpose in a hive, and they make good soldiers. They are few in numbers and only found in the Viscmir hives.
Common Lesmir- Smaller in build, they are more or less the civilian figures in the Lesmir broods. Lesmir are somewhat civilized, some wear clothing depending where they live. Though it’s difficult to describe what a Lesmir looks like, they have segmented limbs and can run rather well. They are proportioned much like humans but they only have three fingers and one thumb on their hands. The females are more slender, and have a clawed thumb. They are as smart as any human being and are very much alike except for the hard outer exterior. Their outer shell is also flexible, thus enabling movement of the eyes and mouth, but it’s weaker than Maltir shell, thus making it more prone to break.
Lesmir Warrior- These are usually more buff than the Common Lesmirs and usually bear a lower garment and tribal painting on their upper torso. Most Warriors use a traditional spear, halberd, or pike. Each with a thin ribbon declaring their clan and rank. Warriors and Commons make up most of hive populations, scouts are less common.
Lesmir Stag- A stag Lesmir were derived from the larger Maltir specimens. They usually have sharp claws, and a thicker shell. Most Lesmir have a smooth shell, but Stags have been known to have a rougher feel to them. More or less the Tanks or the military strength, they are rare in number and hard to fight one on one. Their size does not lessen their intelligence, some are the smarter of the Lesmir, and there are two of them in the Lesmir Council.
Lesmir Scout- Scouts are usually the only Lesmir with wings besides the leaders. They can fly, but only at lower altitudes. The desert scouts usually wear head wraps and full cloth garments. Scouts are swift and clever. Scouting teams usually consist of three scouts, and teams have very good communication skills and move as a whole. Much like Common Lesmir, they are smaller in stature and the only difference is the wings.
Lesmir Leaders- The three leaders of the Lesmir clans bear colorful shells and have a unique shine to them. They usually have an intricate headdress and the Minnemir Leader is the eldest of the Lesmir race and wields a staff with black desert crystal atop it. The leaders are picked by the previous leader as they are fair in their judgment, and train their predecessor for months before they take to the rule of the hive.
