The Graveyard Field!
The stadium ceiling is shut tight in the particular field selection, covering the entire inner area of the stadium in a veil of pure darkness; one that even the Flash technique cannot break through. Grave stones of various types (ranging from crosses to a sculpture of the deceased) were scattered across the lifeless soil; some were still whole while many stood broken and unattended. Near the northern end of the battle field, a single withered tree stands hunched over as though in constant mourning of those who rest for eternity here. A dense fog weaves in and out of the headstones and hinders vision even more. The fog itself seems damp and heavy, like the tears of the living mourning for the lost. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GHOST type attacks.

Renekai walked into the stadium and blinked at the darkness. Ah. Of course. After several battles on this field, Renekai had bought two small, but bright flashlights. One could be secured onto a pokemon's head, enabling them to see, while the other Renekai would hold. The lights only added about an inch of vision in the thick darkness, but it was better than nothing.
"Okay, Chaos, get ready," she murmured to a pokeball. With a dim flash of red light, Chaos formed on the trainer platform. "Do you want a flashlight?" she asked.
Chaos made a disdainful sound and walked deliberately around his trainer and jumped into position. Was he not a Dark type, after all? His vision was quite good on this field.

Luna yelped loudly as she accidentally hit her toe on the steps leading up to the trainer platform which was metal and very painful. "Owowowwww..." The trainer muttered to herself as she took her position on the opposite trainer platform to Renekai. Ram, already out of his pokeball, followed is trainer effortlessly.
The cranidos had lived in a cave for many years with Mew, he was very familiar with the dark. And he was a predator, he could SENSE his prey. Yes, the absol was his prey, even if it was larger than him. Ram had absolute confidence that if he tried his best he could take down the other pokemon. He was strong inside, he knew it!
"Well," Luna plopped down and chose to sit on the trainer platform with a sigh, "ready then Ram?"
"Dos!"

"Looks like they're ready," Renekai said. "Okay, start this off with Rock Smash!"
Ah, how ironic. His opponent was a rock type and he had just been ordered to smash him! Very well. Chaos scored the damp earth beneath his claws and pried up a hunk. It contained some rubble and a plastic bone. With a heave, Chaos sent the lump flying at a crushing speed, headed for Ram.

Luna's arms grabbed onto her shoes, grinning as she felt the tension build up in the field. This was going to be a fun ride. "'Kay Ram! Go straight for the kill! Thunderpunch!"
Ram gave a "DOS!" to show he understood. Sparks began to fly from his right hand as he pulled it back, rushing towards Chaos's attack at full speed. He rammed his left fist at the chunk of earth thrown at him, ignoring the pain that shot up his arm, and continued on his reckless path straight at Chaos. When he got in close range, he extended his left electricity-laced arm straight towards Chaos's chest.

Chaos leaped to one side just in time. Hm. He had better be careful... Chaos raced farther away to buy some time.
So that is how they were going to play the game, Renekai thought grimly. They were going to paralyze Chaos... What to do? Try to immobilize them before they could get the Absol, or just trust luck and go ahead? If they were fast enough, they might avoid disastrous results.
Okay. "Water Pulse!"
Chaos concentrated hard, then shot some ultrasonic waves at Ram. That oughta get him wet!

Ram barrel rolled behind a gravestone and pressed his back up against it. The stone served as a good shield against the water attack because Ram came out relatively unscathed by the attack.
The word "might" was Luna and Ram's main chance and they would take it. Luna clutched her shoes even harder in frustration. They could do this, she knew they could. "Ram! Try it again!"
Ram hopped ontop of the gravestone and hopped off it to send his body and an outstretched electrical fist at Chaos's face.

Chaos leaped nimbly aside as before. But not before he fired another Water Pulse! The attack would be hard to avoid when fired this closely.
Renekai had no choice but to watch. Chaos sure did take the initiative... Not even waiting for orders!

Ram was hit face-first by the water pulse and knocked backwards, the water penetrating his body painfully. "Dosss..." Ram grimaced, slowly getting back up again from the attack.
Luna frowned, realizing that she had gone too far with her stubbornness. She tended to try an attack until it succeeded, but sometimes (like now) that wasn't the best idea. So a change of strategy was needed, hopefully it wouldn't be too late to do so. "Ram, hang in there! Ancient power!"
Ram stood firmly on the field again, panting slightly scratches on his body from where he got abrasions from the dirt. Clumps of the field began to bunch together into rocks and circle about him in a comforting way.

"Rock Smash!" Renekai shouted. She couldn't lose her advantage!
Chaos hurled another hunk of debris at Ram, but this time not with the intention to hurt. Just seeing the power of the smash would make the craindos's defense return to normal!

Luna squinted into the darkness to make out the scene of the battle, but she didn't need to see to know she much to know she was at a great disadvantage. The trainer inhaled deeply and closed her eyes. This was going to be a really really rocky ride. "Meet it rock for rock Ram!"
"DOS!"
The cranidos's eyes shined in the dark as he commanded a large rock to hurl into the rock thrown by chaos. Debris splattered everywhere but Ram was thankfully protected by some of the rocks that had circled around to protect him. Unfortunately, now they were quite cracked.

"Calm Mind!" Renekai called.
Chaos relaxed his entire body and closed his eyes. After a moment of this, he tensed once more for battle. He was going to squash that little fossil!

Seeing a very small window of opportunity while Chaos was relaxed, Luna swiftly jumped up to stand on the trainer platform and ordered her next attack. "Quickly! Go in while his guard is down!"
Ram rushed as fast as his short legs could carry him, closing the distance between himself and Chaos. Hoping to catch the absol unguarded, Ram rolled himself as a ball at the last few feet and rolled in between Chaos's legs.
"Superpower!"
An explosion of light from Ram's body illuminated the dim field briefly, sending a shockwave of energy everywhere.
