Hepheastus boys are SO gross~! Adara thought with a grim look. She watched two boys walk out of their cabin covered in soot, and grim, and sweat. She eyed them with disdain as she walked down the path to the beach. It was the middle of July and Apollo was shining bright in the sky. It was time for her daily tan. She had to keep up her appearance. She was dressed in a low cut, crimson bikini with large matching sunglasses, and a red towel with one large, pink heart in the middle. Red was definitely her color this summer. She strolled to the beach, and laid out her towel, basking in the sunlight.

He hated this place, he didn't understand was his main issue, but it was mostly the fault of the fact that a half-blood would never learn a thing stuck in a place like this. Life is sink or swim, not preparation then swim. But he had to be here, he needed the drachmas. Each step took him closer to the Big House, Adam needed to make himself known, be the camper he was.

"Hello?" He tapped gently on the door.

A steady thunk of hooves on wood started up before, "Coming, coming." A large centaur pulled open the heavy wood door and smiled through the screen. "Haven't seen a half-blood in one piece in awhile." He opened the screen door to usher Adam in.

With a chuckle, Adam stepped over the threshold, "My father sent me, said it would be good for me to stay here for a year or two."

The centaur smiled, "At least you weren't chased in by monsters. I'm Chiron."

"Adam."

Time Skip: The Next Day

~~~~~~~~~
Adara left the Demeter cabin, marking off the inscription scroll as a nine. The Demeter cabin always did well in inspection. She looked sadly at the nine. When Clear was still at camp the cabin always got a Ten. She was always a bit bitchy when the cabin wasn't clean. It had been a year and a half ago that she had died, partly because of Adara. A few months after she had died Alex ran off, just like Dain, because the guilt was too much. Adara sighed and tossed her blond hair back and crossed to the Hermes cabin. She rolled her eyes as she entered. The Hermes kid were frantically spraying Axe and stuffing the last few socks under the bunks. There was one boy though, whose space was already clean, except for a corner of his blanket not being tucked in his bunk was perfect. She glanced at the name tag on the bunk. "Adam..." she murmured, glancing at the boy. His white hair gleaming in the sun that shone through the window. She flashed him a small smile. "Well, you guys didn't completely fail, Adam at least remembered inspection. "A six." she said.
He flashed a dazzling smile, holding the Aphrodite's girl's gaze for just a moment. She was astonishing, not for the fact that she was just a daughter of Aphrodite, but because she really was. Adam forcefully pulled his gaze away and removed his book from his trunk. He'd have to remind himself later that he should start a conversation with that girl, whatever her name happened to be. He fell back on his bed and pulled open to where he left off. Anne Rice always had him captivated.
Time Skip: A few hours later
Adara walked out of the big house after she handed the Inspection scroll to Chiron. The Demeter cabin and the Apollo Cabin had tied for first. She jogged back to the Aphrodite Cabin, changed into a short sleeved shirt and some shorts. She was getting a Volleyball game together, guys against girls. She grabbed her volleyball and ran to the Volleyball net. It was her with an Athena girl and a Demeter girl versus an Apollo, a Hermes, and an Ares. Adara served the ball with a quick strike. The Hermes and the Apollo boys both went for the ball but hit each other and it hit the ground. The ares started yelling at them and Adara smiled. "Point for us."
A grin played Adam's lips as her leaned against a nearby tree and watched the game. He was glad he came. Who would pass up some hot girls in shorts? He didn't have his book for once, instead, he actually watched the game. Laughing when the girls creamed the guys. He glanced over to the Aphrodite girl again, watching her make the winning spike into the sand. Everyone was watching her, but that was a given when it came to an Aphrodite girl. Though Adam watched her for a different reason, he needed information. He brushed a hand through his some-what shaggy white hair, smiling again as the Aphrodite girl made a sweep of her eyes in his general direction.
Adara looked around the crowd, flashing her best smile. She sweeped through the crowds, her eyes landing in Adam's direction. His white hair standing out against the bark of a tree. She looked him over for a second then saw who she was really looking for, an Apollo boy standing next to Adam. He was Apollo Cabin's head counsler, just like she was for Aphrodite. He was tall, at least a couple inches taller than Adam. He has medium length blond hair, dazzling blue eyes and a gorgeous smile.
She laughed and ran over to him, tackling him in a hug. "Hey, Mark~!" she giggled. "Are we still going to the beach tomorrow?"
"Of course we are, baby, I wouldn't miss it for anything." He said, giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
Adara turned to look at Adam as if she only just noticed him. "Oh, hey Adam, right?" she asked. "So, are you an actual Hermes or undecided?" she asked.
Adam smirked coolly, trying to keep a level head, "It's undecided." He slipped his hands into his pockets and leaned back against the tree. A few kids strode past and congratulating her with things such as 'Nice win, Adara' and 'Good game'. So that was her name, Adara, seemed fitting enough for her.
Adara frowned softly. "Ouch, that sucks. I already knew what I was by the time I got here. Mark took a little time but Apollo eventually sent the sign." She said, smiling up at her boyfriend's gorgeous tan face. Just then her friend Kristina ran up and grabbed her hand.
"Come on Adara, we're teaching the riding lesson again today, remember?"
"Oh, right, I'll be right there." she said. She turned back to the two boys, "Bye Mark, see you later." she said with a small, slightly mischevious smile. She gave him a quick kiss and turned to Adam. "Nice meeting you Adam." she said. With that she turned and ran off with Kristina.
Mark watched Adara jog away with a raised eyebrow, looking greedily at her a**. Then he turned to Adam with a smirk, "I can't believe my luck, eh?"
"Me neither." Adam turned with a huff. Guys like Mark made him feel sick. He had to leave before he took this guy out, he wouldn't be able to keep his cool for much longer. Why did this guy itch him the wrong way, he didn't know. But whatever the case, he needed to be far away from him.
(F. is for fighting mythical be-easts~!
U. is for Ur in Love~!
N. is for not a single boring day at camp, especially if you time skip~!
Whooosh, and it is now around sunset about an hour before Dinner and the Camp Fire Sing-Along)
She had finished teaching the smaller campers how to ride the winged horses kept in the stables. Adara was now lounging on a hill, stretched out on a pink blanket as she watched Apollo steadily drive towards the horizon. The fresh scent of Strawberries in the field wafting through the air, making her smile. She was also thinking about that new boy. Adam. She wasn't quite sure what to think of him yet. He seemed cool, and yet kind of creepy at the same time. She had caught him watching her a couple times during the day. She was used to being watched, of course, but this seemed different.
The rainbow fragment scrambled into place and then formed a dark figure. The iridescent shards became husky grey and smoky. And now stood a cloaked figure of his employer. Adam had taken his Iris message to the beach at the cliff, where water crashed on the rocks to create a pulsing shower of rain. The figure never showed its face, or even its body, it just stood there and growled at him in a raspy tone that was neither male or female and Adam didn't honestly care much to find out.
"Are you sure I need to be out to ask, Adara? She seems pretty unaffected by the whole situation. I mean, she doesn't carry any regrets or anything, and I would know."
"Silence. I gave you your job. Now do it. Don't ask too many questions. You're getting paid well."
"I'm just saying that I think she doesn't know what she did. I don't think she understands it is all."
"Whether she gets it or not you're to get my answers by any means necessary." The creature paused, only its heavy pants and the crashing of waves breaking the silence. "Any means."
The image faded and Adam cursed to himself in Greek. He quickly turned and jumped from his perch and landed on the soft sand. He cursed again as he quickly climbed onto the stone platform to dust sand off his pant legs and shake it from his shoes.
She didn't do well of staying out of trouble. But maybe laying on a hill was only dangerous for her when he was around. Regardless, she was by herself and out of view of other campers. With a broad step, Adam crossed from the trees. It only took a short moment for him to ascend the hill and stop next to the lovely daughter of Aphrodite below him. He flashed that dazzling smile as he spoke, "Fancy seeing you here. I thought I was the only one who wandered out this far." He kept his hands in his pockets and didn't sit down, nor would he until invited to do so. One thing about gathering information was you couldn't be pushy else your informant would back off.
Adara jumped and looked up at Adam. He scared her half to death! Adara sat up, brushing a piece of grass from her sleeve. "I come up here at least once a week to watch the sunset." she said with a soft smile, watching Apollo drive slowly into the horizon. "It's so romantic." she said with a breathless sigh. "I came here with Mark yesterday, but today he couldn't come." she said, a flicker of disappointment in her eyes. (Hehe, notice she's alone on the day Adam comes~! Yay for foreshadowing) "So, what are you doing up here?" she questioned.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 15, 2009 5:24 pm
Adam chuckled lightly, lifting a hand to brush the white bangs from his eyes. "I needed some air. Staying with the Hermes kids isn't that great." He glanced down, his eyes drifting over her for a moment before returning to her face. He prayed to every god and their mother that she would cooperate when the time came, he didn't want to hurt someone like her. It took a mental slap or two for him to remember that he was only thinking this because she was a daughter of Aphrodite and that in all honesty, she was a complete b***h to everyone around here. "I feel somewhat crowded in my cabin."
Adara scooted over and patted the place next to her. "Well sit down, I can understand that." she said with a smile. "I can at least shelter you for a bit." She then turned and watched as the sun sank just below so the horizon ignited in burst of bright lights, the sky over head however was getting darker and you could see the stars, and behind them the moon was coming up. "So beautiful..." she murmured.
