This is my idea for the flaregun its nothing large or an exaggeration
my idea is it might sound a little over powered at first
A.small splash about 35 square game unites (as wide as 3 grenades together making a triangle.
its that its strange that the flare really doesn't "activate" to explode like it really would do,you see after a lot of testing Ive noticed that the flaregun is actually really great but I collected information that people have been angry that the flare falls RIGHT in front of an enemies foot,if they made it explode it would increase the chance of a hit also if it had a small delay would be fair like it hits the wall stays stuck or bounces off and then activates. (like the bruteshot from halo)

Now my little question...
Why do people say pyro is all W+M1?

W-key + Left-Click mouse= Basic Pyro Strategy.
Meaning, when people are usually pyros, all the do is move forward, and hold the trigger until he hits something.

well it does make sense to run after the person your killing...but all the time like from 20 feet away your bait.
I don“t really do that I usually sneak about with the BB

I mean they spray anything!
Inexperienced pyros, I mean.
I don't see anything bad with it, it gets kills, but it dangerous.

Now my little question...
Why do people say pyro is all W+M1?
I'll answer that one with my view, EVEN THOUGH it's already been answered.

Say you're a Scout or a Spy, just around to run behind the pyro and knock in a few hits/backstab before he notices, PYRO turns around and torches you.

Your instinct is to run. Pyro's instinct is to run, forward, and hold mouse 1. That's it, run forward and mouse 1, despite your efforts to shoot them with whatever you have, they don't die, you're just in range, and you die.

You tried your hardest to avoid, the Pyro just held mouse 1 and w and won the battle.

And in response to your flare gun, it's a good improvement, but it might end up in an unfair advantage. The flare gun is tricky to use, and that's the point of it. Once you can use it however, it can be very annoying for Snipers, Spies and Scouts.

That makes it sound like being the Pyro is extremely easy, totally not true.

it might be a simple class, but all the classes require some degree of skill to master
inexperienced pyros might be all w+m1
but snipers are all wristflick+m1
heavies are basically just m2+m1

so like ya
O:
people should lay off pyro, he's dainty
and you'll hurt his feelings
that's so mean

I don't think snipers are so much as a pick up and play class because of the mass amount of skilled snipers and sniper killers out there(I'm looking at you spies) who are looking for a inexperience standing target.
But the Heavy...o.o
Hes simple. Pick up and Play classes to me mean, classes where you able to get kills without learning skills that would take days to figure out. The best way I think a newbie heavy would get kills is if he played defense, find a dispenser, and spray EVERYTHING. He's sure to get a few kills.
But who I think is a easy class to play the Solider.
When in doubt, shoot the floor.
Splash damage gets almost everything. But he's not the #1 newb class.

You know my Spy in a Barrel montage? I was a Spy a lot then, and I'm not actually that great as a Spy.

But I have decided, that I hate Pyros.

I especially hate good Pyros.

They always kill me. :c

I must say sniper is a rather newbish class, but it also depends on the map.
I was playing convoy and I got about 7 haduken kills on snipers.
Really people shouldn't really complain about any class AT ALL
each has its own goods and bads THATS what people keep forgetting I mean really if someone actually thinks whining "oh you just burned me to death" or so they really need their neck broken its the classes job!
and I don't w+m1....I DO when people want a spy checking pyro but I tend to hide near the intel and BB people as they run by
scout lacks health but it makes up for in speed and a great close range weapon
pyro lacks range but makes up for its REALLY DEADLY close range weapons and the ability to help spy checking
soldier lacks speed but has a powerful weapon
demoman lacks close range weaponry and makes up for splash damage
engi has low health but has his buildings
heavy lacks speed but has his minigun
spy lacks health but can bypass enemies and instant kills
medic is alright but can heal people
and sniper of course lacks close range weaponry but can take out people at far ranges

WHY WOULD YOU HATE ME?
my other idea for the flaregun was why not make its burn faster making a skilled pyro to hit its target more making the idea to fire at them more with it then relying on the splash damage Although NOT hitting someone with the flare just barely hitting his foot pisses me off.

The 1# Newb class is the Engie.
Run out safe room,
Build a Teleporter Entrance,
Build a sentry,
Run to the nearest ammo reserve,
Quickly build a dispenser,
build Exit Teleporter,
Drink some java and watch the kills fly.

Engies are much more complicated than you think. =
But we won't go into that.
