This is a totally random intro puost which will hold jump links to my gargoyles, as well as quests, etc, etc.

Because I'm putting all Gargoyles in one thread, expect some long posts for persona, imagery, rp logs, and other stuff.

Appearance: Taller than most women her age and a little thick-boned, Donella is what otehrs might call "handsome," rather than beautiful. She has a strong build and seems a little gangly in her long limbs, but has muscle, as well. Her thick strawberry blonde hair falls to the middle of her back, and is usually braided or pulled back in some way in order to keep it out of the way (let's face it, living in the forest doesn't give one much in the way of vain luxuries.). Though she's naturally pale, living alone in the wild has given her plenty of time in the sun, so it's darkening quite nicely. Her almond-shaped eyes are a deep toffee brown, hinting at some Eastern blood. Her clothing is mostly natural, consisting of furs/skins, leather and the like, though she does occasionally go to the main town and trade.

Dwenna - History and Images

Dwenna was born and raised in the Dachaidh clan, knew who her parents were and what she wanted to do, all from an early age. She was taken under wing of one of the more diplomatic gargoyles, and some of Dwenna's earliest memories reside in a human village. It is also, perhaps, when she first discovered that humans were abdominally weak creatures who had the fortune of stumbling along things such as iron and furthering their society. Without it, they would never survive, and thus the seed of contempt was born.

Growing up, she discovered she really neither cared if her company was with gargoyles or humans, spending long stretches of time alone as what could only be described as a child's view of "training." She got caught by a band of humans during one of these sessions and got the sense scared out of her: several had brought torches, and she was convinced they were out to get her. She wound up kicking one in the shin and flying off into the night. She spent the next day alone, her last thought before turning to stone being that Lainnir was surely going to kill her for breaking the treaty. She still doesn't really know if he ever found out or not. Afterwards, she lost much of her initial interest and let the humans be. She spent most of her teen years with the other clan's youth or watching humans in secret, bemused by the actions of those her own age, but never quite ready to step back out into their world unless she had to.

It was a fateful night a few months ago that, while hunting, Dwenna heard what she thought was an animal in distress and went to investigate. What she found was actually a human, a woman trying to forge her way through the forest and build an extremely modest shelter, complete with a tiny fire and the bloody carcass of a rabbit at her feet. Somewhere along the way, the human had injured herself. Dwenna, who had grown as a warrior and valued strength, had a bit of an epiphany. Apparently, humans were more resilient than she'd given them credit, and this one, a woman who was supposed to watch over the hearth, was out fighting against nature's desire to swallow her whole.

As it turned out, Dwenna left another rabbit for the human at the edge of her camp in the night, watching with extreme curiosity as to why such things were happening. Whispers in the village spoke of infidelity, but she'd never given much thought to listening for a name: in some ways, humans were really all the same. Watching over the woman from time to time, however, Dwenna began to understand that the human was pregnant, and, feeling as though she deserved some help for lasting so long on her own, began leaving "gifts" to help aid her. When the woman was about six months along, Dwenna got caught delivering another small game in her rush to move on. It was then that she was given her namesake. They built a trust over time, hardly ever speaking, and though the child has since been born, Dwenna does drop by on occasion to watch and observe.
