braziliandude 5 I think 'Joy ' by Frank Tichelli is a masterpiece. I'm sorry, but I cannot STAND that piece.... gonk its dull motif repeats so many times without much variation to the point where I want to stab myself in the eye with a piccolo...and its "sequal," Joy Revisited? UGH....
Frank Tichelli has done much much much more impressive works. Like...uh....well Symphony No. 2 is a really great piece. Children's March by Percy Grangier...its simple, and the main theme repeats but never gets boring or dull. Grangier knew exactly how to incorporate the right amount of variation on a repetitive theme.....I think that it's an utter masterpiece. Grangier was a sick and twisted genius. hehe.

My absolute favorite piece ever is any variation of the Fantasmic show from Disney. That aside, I think almost all of Tales of Symphonia's music is beautifully written.

Africa: Ceremony, Song, and Ritual. Absolutley amazing peice. Corsican Litany was my favorite so far this year, aside from Varations of a Korean Folk Song. But I's have to say Folk Dances has been the most fun to play.
