THE ELECTRIC FIELD

The field is completely flat; no bumps or hills can be located. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field on each side are six electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These create a static discharge across the field and in the air itself for one reason: a metal piping that outlines the edges of the field floats several feet above the towers themselves, held up by the discharge. During the battle, the piping can release lightning at random points on the field due to the amount of buildup them possess. This ensures that your pokemon stay moving during throughout the entire battle. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Zinnia ran into the stadium in her Rocket uniform, doing her best to look evil. When she looked out onto the field, however, she looked anything but. "It's different now!" she shouted. This was only her second battle. "Where did the trees go? Oh well, beat them up, Zyk!"

Zyk flew into position and squeaked. By using echolocation, he could "see" that there were no obstacles in this field. Well, that was better than trees, right?

Zinnia pointed a dramatic finger at her opponent on the other side of the field and shouted:

"Team Rocket, the brave, the strong!
With our pokemon, we can do no wrong!
We are the toughest and the best!
In our battles, we beat the rest!
So heed these words that I say:
Give up now or you shall pay!"

Sienna walked onto her trainer box, careful not to shock herself. 'Not the electric field again' She thought with a mental frown. As Sienna couldn't help but giggle a little at her opponent's performance. She was a rocket? Sienna definitely wanted to win now. "Let's go Frey!" The trainer called out her pidgeotto by tossing his camouflage-colored safari ball into the air.

The bird-pokemon appeared in a flash of red light onto the air above the field. Frey hovered in the air, wary of the electrified metal below. 'Not this again.' The pidgeotto thought. 'Hopefully this'll turn out better than last time.'

"Use Ominous Wind, Zyk!" Zyn called happily. Though she was not aware, her long, dark blue hair was starting to stand up in its pigtails.

Zyk concentrated hard and a cool wind began to blow through the stadium. Just feeling its chill was enough to raise his defense.

"Mirror move!" Sienna called to Frey. Hopefully this wouldn't turn into a status war like it had the last time they were on this field.

The pidgeotto mirrored the zubat's move, concentrating hard to stir up a foreboding wind that raised his defense.

Zinnia gritted her teeth. The opponent, she knew, already had the advantage... "Ominous Wind!" she repeated loudly.

Zyk flapped his wings for higher elevation, calling upon the mysterious wind again. It was pointless, he knew. Frey would just copy it, making the whole thing a waste...

Sienna sighed and said "You know what to do, Mirror Move~" . She went to lean on the railing, but caught herself before she had a chance to electrocute herself on the metal bars. She straightened up her posture, and adjusted the hem of her shirt.

The pidgeotto obligated and summoned the dark wind again, boosting his attack this time. There was so much Ominous Wind drifting through the stadium, it made the sparks in the air dance and appear even brighter. Like little spirits they danced around, threatening to get close enough to shock Frey's feather before they darted away as if they were alive.

"Air... Um. Air... Oh yeah! Air Cutter!" Zinnia commanded, tripping over her own shoes and hitting the rail. She felt a weak shock and pulled back. "Ow..."

Zyk wrenched his wings back in an upstroke, then powerfully down, squeaking in order to "see" all the while. Razor-sharp winds began to dance, a new one made in each stroke. The now-dangerous wind soared towards Frey. Could he escape?

The Air Cutter sliced through fog-like air left over from all the Ominous Winds, leaving a trail from the zubat to where it struck the tip of the pidgeotto's wing.

Sienna slickered slightly after seeing her opponent trip. How can such a little girl be a Rocket? The trainer wondered. Even though she was only fifteen, she still regarded everyone younger than her as 'little'.
"Hmm...Try and burn him with Heat Wave!" Sienna commanded after some thought.

Frey shouted "Pidge!" and began to beat his wings, heat radiating with each stroke. The waves of heat surged like ripples through the air, collecting electricity as they flew towards his opponent.

"Haze!" Zin called.

Zyk called upon an icy mist that swept the burn away, leaving him refreshed. "Zu!" he squeaked.

The ice mist cleared the field of the leftover Ominous Wind and all of it's effects, returning Frey's stats back to normal. Sienna felt a sweat drop forming on the back on her head, now the first two moves of the battle were wasted. Oh well. "Let's go with another Heat Wave!"

Frey concentrated, heating up the air his wing beats created with each stroke. The hot waves of air wiggling as they surged towards the zubat once more, this time aiming to strike him.

Zyk couldn't see the heatwave coming, but he heard Sienna give the order. He knew that heat rose, so what did he have to do? It was easy. He just had to fall.

Zinnia gasped as she saw Zyk tuck in his wings and plummet. Had he gotten that badly hurt?! But she relaxed when he opened his wings right before he hit the floor. That zubat was smart! He had evaded the attack!

"Poison Fang!" Zinnia shouted happily.

Zyk had to work hard to regain altitude, but he was fast because of his small, light body. With bullet speed, he rammed himself into Frey's side and tried to bite down using his small, poisonous teeth.
