HISTORY Thousands of years ago, dragons were a thing of fiction, living only in storybooks and fairy tales. However, at the beginning of the new age, a colony of dragons were discovered living in the mountains of Italy. Out of fear that the dragons would attack the human population, hunting groups formed and disembarked for the mountains, killing any dragon in sight. Other expeditions went out to every corner of the earth, uncovering more and more dragon species that managed to escape attention for so long.
The fear of dragons grew to such an extent that dragons would have been hunted to extinction if it were not for the dragons. Sensing the loss of their race, the dragons began to bad together and attack the human cities, burning as much as they could in retaliation. This started the great Human-Dragon War. Years passed full of fear and bloodshed until a young soldier by the name of Baron found an abandoned dragon egg. Instead of crushing the egg like his commander ordered, Baron hid the egg and cared for it till it hatched in his arms, thus starting a partnership that would change history forever. Baron raised the dragon, naming it Gallor after the extreme amount of Spirit the dragon seemed to possess. With sudden realization, Baron and Gallor came to recognize that humans and dragons were not meant to fight each other, but rather live with each other. They then set out, gathering strong, sensible dragons and humans together and forming the Dragon Riders. These teams would go out, stopping the hunting and the battles and stopping the war. It took much effort, but peace was established and humans came to accept the dragons and began to discover how misunderstood they really were. The dragons eventually forgave the humans, understanding that this was all stemmed from needless fear. As the years past, Humans and Dragons began to live closely together, eventually families merged together and dragons and humans were able to create a comfortable life style for both sides.
However, not everything went smoothly after the war. With peace established, the Dragon Riders began to argue amongst themselves over how the dragons should be used in society. One side believed that now was the perfect time to use the dragons to establish their power over both races, and rule over them so that another outbreak of war would never happen again. The other side found this revolting and declared that the dragons should not be used as war weapons, but rather as tools to progress a growing age further. Unfortunately, these arguments escalated into a fierce battle between the opposing sides. The fierceness and destruction of the battle grew and grew and it threatened to expand into the city, which would have destroyed it entirely, had it not been for Baron and Gallor's interference. In a blinding light, the Original Dragon and Rider sacrificed themselves and drove out the other dragon’s spirits out of their bodies and into the wild. Finding themselves suddenly powerless, the two sides retreated and went into hiding where they secretly worked to form two opposing groups feuding secretly for eternity.
Now over 1,000 years later, dragons and humans live cooperatively. Humans now take care of the dragons; feeding them, housing them, and befriending them. In return, dragons offer their friendship and services, very much like horses used to do for their masters eons ago. Dragons are now used in every aspect of human life, even entertainment. Great events such as races, shows, and even arena battles became very popular, making successful participants into celebrities.
The legend of Baron and the Dragon Riders has become a myth, a work of bedtime fiction. However, the battle between the Dragon Riders have continued through the centuries, passed down by their children and their children's children. Now two powerful and secret guilds alone know the truth about what happen a thousand years ago and still their hate for each other fuels them to fight each other in secret.

RULES 1. Stick to your profile! If I see you straying from the profile you gave me, I first warn you to stop. If you do not fix the problem, you will be black listed and kicked out.
2. Follow the dice rolls. Information about this is several posts below. If you need any other explaination, just post in the "Help!" thread.
3. NO GODMODDING! Fights are allowed and inevitable. Godmodding is placing another character in a situation where they have no control in the situation or themselves. Godmodding is also saying that an opposing character has done something that the opposing player did not say. -Example of Godmodding (Godmod in bold): -“Jeff punches Steve in the nose, it instantly breaks. Seeing him stunned, Jeff goes in for the attack.
4. I am allowed to add rules on at any time according to any situation that may arrise. If this happens, there WILL be a general announcement made about the new rule.

Statistic Chart Explaination *There are two reasons why Statistic Charts are being used. First, it allows for personalization. As your dragon grows, you will be able to add points to your statistics, making your dragon stronger in one area, while others would choose a different area to work on. This allows each dragon to be unique and fine-tuned. The second reason is for roleplay purposes. This is a dice RP and the number of "X"s next to each statistic tells you how many Dice you will use in a given situation. Everyone who adopts a dragon starts with a default Statistic Chart that is located on the first post of their journal. These charts look like this:
Statistic Chart Speed: X Strength: X Agility: X Intelligence: X Endurance: X
*As the dragon progresses through its stages, the owner will be able to add a certain number of points to any statt they would like to strengthen. The point allowance goes as follows:
Egg Stage: Default, no extra points.
Baby Stage: 3 points will be randomly placed on your Statistic Chart. This is completely random and you have no say in this. You will also be given 1 extra point to place where ever you wish.
Teen Stage: 2 extra points will be given to you to place where ever you wish.
Adult Stage: 3 extra points will be given to you to place where ever you wish.
Familiars will give the owner 2 extra points to place where ever they wish.
*When you decide where you want your points to go, PM Scales of the Dragon or Trisscar_cj so they can update your Statistic Chart for you.

Dice Instructions 1. In everyone's Journal, there is a Statistic Chart that looks like this: The number of "X"s next to each Stat tells you the number of dice to use in certain situations.
Statistic Chart Speed: X Strength: X Agility: X Intelligence: X Endurance: X
2. During an event, for every action that involves your dragon attempting to push forward in the race, you MUST roll the dice to see if your action succeeds.
This is how you know if you succeed in your action.
Here is the chart explaining what Statistics you will use for certain events:
Event Statistic Chart Flight Race: Speed and Endurance Ring Race: Speed and Agility Road Race: Speed and Endurance Obstacle Race: Agility and Endurance Arena Battle: (When Attacking) Strength and Speed / (When Defending) Agility and Endurance The Maze: (When Inside the Maze) Agility and Intelligence / (When Attacking) Strength and Speed / (When Defending) Agility and Endurance
Using the Dice For every action you perform in an event, you must roll to see if your action is carried out. You do this by following these steps:
1. Select the Drop Down menu titled "Post Action" 2. Select "Dice Roll"* 3. Under "Select Dice", Select "10 Sided" 4. In "Number of Dice" type in the number of "X"s next to the corrosponding statistics 5. Depending on the roll, you will either fail, or succeed.
Reading the Dice Every dice roll tells you if your action was successful or not. Here is how you can tell.
If you roll: 1, 2, 3 = Failure 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 = Success 9, 10 = Absolute Success. No matter what the rest of the roll is, these numbers are not effected.
Number Formula: (# of Success) - (# of Failures) + (# of Absolute Success)= Action Number
The Number of Success you have is the number of spaces you move.
If you have 2 success you move 2 spaces. If you have -1 success, you move back a space!

Notes
-- If you are having any problems using "Dice Roll", whether there is an error or it won't load, simply submit the post and it should work just fine. Trust me!
--Here is an explaination of the Stats and what each means Strength: How strong your dragon is
Speed: How fast your dragon is while running
Endurance: How long your dragon can run or retain energy....the higher the number, the less likely your dragon will tire
Intelligence: How smart your dragon is...how good are they at solving puzzles
Agility: How flexible or how good their reflexes are. Basically, how are they in maneuvering their bodies around to perform certain tasks.
