For those who don't know what Necromunda is, it's a skirmish game set in the vast underhives of Necromunda. Various gangs compete for resourses and loot. There are also various other factions, each with their own motives. Gameplay is similer to Mordheim, though the rules are somewhat differant. More info can be found at http://www.specialist-games.com/necromunda/default.asp

I'm still getting used to the rules of the game, though it could help if the people I play with would learn with me. I do all the work for them from building their gang to battles themselves. A real pain in the [purity sensor,] anywho overall I kinda like the game. I have a Van Saar gang thats doing well though my leaders of suffered chest wounds which is not cool. Though since I have not actual models I use my heroclix models, which get the job done, and for terrain we use VHS tapes. Again not fancy, but it works.

I play orlock and rat skins. The orlocks have been recently gettign the crap kicked out of them by a pit slaves gang, but the ratskins managed to beat the pitslaves quite nicely, despite their lower gang rating. Which means advances rolls for everyone pretty much every game.

I realize this is a necro (*ba-dum-PSSH!*), but I really and truly miss this game. If only there were some means to recreate in an online format since the chances of convincing any of my friends to play is slim to none.
Anyone out there still play on a regular basis?

My brother picked up the new book. Although it's kinda a patchwork of rules that obviously were forgotten or assumed to be described in better detail in the yet-to-be-seen expansions. I played a few games with my standing city terrain using allarn as orlocks, it worked out alright, but it seems a little downtrodden.

I normally play Goliath, but right now I'm thinking of getting some of the new Redemptionist models. What do you guys think of them?

Necromunda is win. Everyone should play it. I'm currently getting my second gang off the ground, using the custom gang rules on the website. They be mutants, based off of a picture from the Witch Hunters book (Adversary rules, the one with the big guy holding this cool looking bolter to some imperial guys head).

I pondered about doing Enforcers, but like many of my projects, it's shelved for the time being.

Yeah if the GW staff brought is back I'm sure many 40k players would like. I've dropped recently ordered in a Spyer gang with two Orrus ones.

When I get back to the States, I'll be conning my friends into playing Necro again (for the first time, most of them) and running my Grymms as an Enforcer squad, I think. Or a VanSaar gang. One of the two.

I dont play Necro for some time now, but one of my "gangs" was an Enforcer squad, converted from Cadians plastic box. Then, I just had to add a few extra bitz (for the "shields" and so...) from other stuff and thats it.

How do you still manage to find opponents? Did you manage to convince your group to stick with it for this long? ninja

*Clatto Verata Nicto!*
For anyone that's interested, I'm running a Necromunda inspired RP in the Role Playing subforum. Same feel (I think at least) but on a different planet so I'm not constrained by the fluff.
