Aludra sulked angrily on a bench in a park near his house, green-and-red eyes watching his sister practice her recently acquired skill: being able to fly. The wings on his ankles fluttered in envy as he watched her large wings beat the ground, feet lifting from grass. Stupid flying. Stupid Adhara. Aludra wanted to fly, too. But he couldn't, and he doubted he would ever be able to. After all, the only wings he had were stupid, puny ones on his ankles that wouldn't be able to support flight for even a second. His tail lashed back and forth angrily as he watched the girl. Stupid flying... Stupid Greed.

Bovi had been busying himself in the sandbox, using the corner of his plastic shovel to attempt to carve stone work into the sides of the pail shaped mound that was in front of him. Of course, given his age, many a time he would make some odd sort of sqiggle, and while he sighed every time he did this, he mearly smoothed that part out and tried again until he got something he was proud of before moving on.

Stacie was on a bench near the sandbox, keeping a close eye on her charge while peering at a newspaper, though it was more for keeping her awake then entertainment.

Ah! Now there was something much more interesting than watching his sister's more-than-attempts at flying. A little... spawn. Aludra squinted his big green eyes, but was uncertain of the gender of this little spawn. He could tell, however, that the other was much more interesting than he, himself, and as such, needed to go over there. Maybe he had pieces that came off like the little dolls that Noah gave him, unlike 'Zuba. Maybe Aludra would be able to get more interesting things from him. A soft smirk gracing his features, he tossed his legs out and jumped off the bench, tail swishing low to the ground as he walked toward the sandbox.

He dropped to his knees when he was close, and blinked at the boy, looking at all the features that he, himself, didn't have. However, his eyes settled on the wings attached to the other's ankles as well. His own flapped a bit, before he finally pointed to the other, head tipping in a curious manner. "Who?"

Bovi's eyes blinked as his ears filtered in the simple question. Placing his plastic shovel down, he turn his head, and saw someone that kinda sorta looked like him! He giggled and waved before gesturing to himself.

"Bovidae," he stated with a grin. "Bovi for short though. You?"

Aludra was a little too distracted by the interesting appearance of the other to really do much in regards to reacting to his name. Still not aware of a thing called a 'personal bubble' -perhaps having a Lust spawn for a sibling aided that fact- he crawled forward on his knees, and touched at the scales on Bovi's shoulder, smiling at the smooth feel of them in comparison to his own. Realizing he'd been asked a question, though, he backed up from the other boy, and pointed to himself. "'Ludra," he stated simply.

Reaching out a partially scaled hand, he stroked the fur of the other's strange legs gently, before touching the little wings on Bovi's ankles, his own fluttering happily. He looked up at the boy with a smile. "Pretty Bovi," he commented, nodding a few times and going back to investigating the child's ankle wings. He pointed to his sister. "Big wings. Can fly," he stated simply, ignoring the fact that his sister had dropped from the sky and was walking over to investigate the goings ons over in this area. "Bovi want fly?"

Bovi really didn't mind getting stroked. He just giggled and allowed the other child to stoke him as he wished. He honestly had no real personal bubble to pop, just some odd places here and there that made him feel yucky if someone touched them. Luckily, the other child didn't.

"Ludra," Bovi repeated as if to help him remember it later. He then giggled again. "Thanks, Bovi like Ludra hair. Nice color," he stated truthfully. It did look very nice on the boy, in his own opinion.

He then looked at the bigger girl Ludra had pointed out. She had very big wings. He watched her for a bit before shrugging his shoulders. "Meh, flying maybe nice, but Bovi has no real want learn fly," he said with a nod.

Aludra shook his head at the compliment; finally, he'd gotten accustomed to them, and didn't try to bite off the hands of the people who complimented him. "Not pretty," he replied simply, tugging at his own hair, before reaching out to pet Bovi's hair, smile coming back after the slight frown from before. "Bovi hair is better. Long. Purple-y," Aludra said, nodding a few times at the universal truth of the... universe: Everyone else was prettier than he was. Even though plenty of people would contradict him and claim that he was prettier with his pink hair and two-coloured-eyes that bothered him so much.

He blinked widely in disbelief at the other when he said that he didn't want to learn to fly. "No... want...?" Aludra asked, staring at the boy rather blankly. Not wanting something? Now, this was something that he'd never even thought was possible. Not wanting something? What would that even be like...? He shook his head, ridding himself of the thought. He wasn't going to try to figure that one out yet. Maybe he could ask Adhara or something... speaking of whom-

"'Dhara?" he asked of the girl, who had only just taken a seat on a nearby bench. She looked up at the little boy and smiled a bit. "Yes?" she asked kindly. It had taken a while, but she'd learned how to talk with kids at least a bit better than she had when she first got bigger. "How people not want?" the child asked, as though there was no possible way he could have known that. His older sister simply blinked a few times, at a loss for what to say. "Um... I guess they just get used to things when they get bigger, and the stuff that they used to want isn't so great anymore?"

Bovi looked at Aludra with his own sort of befuddled expression. Was not wanting something that odd? He also didn't understand the other older spawn's explaination, but only because he really didn't think of himself as getting bigger. He just didn't have any desire to learn to fly. He was happy the way he was.

"Thankies," he replied finally to the compliment given before. Apparently the boy didn't like getting compliments, so he made mental note to try and refrain from giving them.

"Ludra want play Bovi?" he asked.

Aludra only stared at Adhara for a while after she replied to his statement, before shaking his head and turning his attention back to the sandbox. That didn't really make much sense- after all, he hadn't gotten any bigger since... he'd existed. In fact, he couldn't really remember back to being at the Labs all that well anymore, which was where he was the first time he got bigger, if that time really did exist. Despite that, it was easy for Adhara to say that he would understand when he was bigger: She was already bigger, after all, and even if she lacked patience that Aludra had to an extent, it seemed like she didn't have to wait very long to get as big as she was currently.

Aludra looked toward the other spawn when he spoke, and smiled happily. "'Course!" he said happily, nodding his head a few times before he looked at the little sand castles that the other boy was making. He blinked a couple times; he'd never actually played in the sand before, so he wasn't completely sure how the sand stuck together so tightly, but it couldn't be that hard, right? "How play with sand?" he asked the other, glancing up at him curiously, tipping his head to the side just a bit. For some reason, he couldn't get over the other boy not wanting to know how to fly; it was just so strange...

Bovi scurried over to one of his sand pails and sat it in front of his new friend.

"Bovi show how make sand castle," he stated as he grabbed his other pail. "First, need to fill pail up with sand. Make sure sand no run through fingers, or no stick. Sand should feel kinda wet," he said.

Aludra watched with wide, observant eyes as the boy got his other pail and sat it in front of Alu. The Greed spawn inspected it curiously, looking at the insides of it, as well as the outsides, top and bottom alike, before nodding a couple times, confirming his suspicions: it was, in fact, a normal bucket. He watched as Bovi grabbed his own pail, head tilted slightly as his tail swished to either side behind him, the few feathers on the end of it fluttering just a bit, though not enough to cause much distraction.

At the instruction, he reached his partially scaled hand into the sand. It was an odd sensation, sort of cold and wet, but at the same time, it seemed warm and dry. Blinking a bit and wiggling his fingers in the handful that he had, he finally dumped that in the pail, getting to work on completely filling it up. That finished, he patted it down a bit, at least knowing somewhat about the idea of patting it down, before he looked over at Bovidae once again. "What now?" he asked curiously, looking over at the little castle his new friend had constructed previously. It didn't look like it was too hard to make, right?

"Now comes tricky part," Bovi explained, trying to sound as teacher like as possible. It felt good to have someone look to him for instructions.

"Gotta flip pail over, but, one hand on sand so not fall out at first. Cause packed, it say for bit, but still gotta be quick. Here, watch Bovi."

Placing one hand on the sandy top, He used his other hand to lift up the pail, paused just for a moment to make sure he had his grip, then flipped the pail over into the sand, making sure to remove his one hand before the bucket came down.

Aludra watched intently, before he nodded, packing the sand into his pail a bit more, before putting his hand on top of it and lifting it up carefully, the pail wobbling a bit. He waited a moment, just as Bovi had, before flipping it over, somehow forgetting to take his hand out from beneath it. He blinked a few times, before he slowly lifted the bucket off of his hand, giggling a bit and pointing toward the nicely-shaped castle that was already sort of chipping itself away, his hand settled beneath it.

"Hand-castle," he noted, giggling happily at the pun, though he probably shouldn't. It amused him quite a bit, actually. It was a funny statement, though, along with being true.

Bovi giggled as well as he looked at the other spawn's hand-y work. He then clasped his hands together.

"Close!" he said. "Just gotta practice, and then 'Ludra make sand castles instead of hand castles!" he chimed cheerfully. He then went about prodding at the one he had just made, now amused with how it cracked at some points and didn't in others.

"Wanna try again?" he asked finally.

For the moment, Aludra was quite content with playing with his hand-castle, wiggling his fingers underneath it and watching as the sides of it cracked and crumbled away. When Bovi suggested trying again, he smiled a bit and nodded, pulling his hand out from beneath the sand and watching as it all fell in on itself.

He dug up some more sand, letting it trickle through his fingers and into the bucket, making sure to press it down each time he did so, until it was at the top, and he pressed it down some more, making sure that it was going to stay in. This time, he moved his hand out of the way in time when he flipped it over, but when he lifted up the pail-

-nothing was there. He'd packed the sand in too tight, it seemed, and when he shook the pail softly, the weight of the wet sand caused about half of it to fall into a pile in the sandbox, the rest still stuck to the inside of the bucket.

[[ Don't you hate when that happens?! D : ]]
