It was bright, sunny, and warm...and it wasn't the sky. The little wild dog pup know as Pich bounded through mud puddle after mud puddle. And though her pale fur was getting muddy and dirty, she didn't mind. It was her first rain shower and she loved it! Loved the squishy mud between her toes, loved the warm rain on her back and sides, loved the 'squelch' sound the mud made when she jumped out of it. She laughed and danced about in one of the puddles. Even covered in mud, little Pich still shone.

Lela, however, was frustrated by the rain. As beautiful as it was, with wet materials, it was hard for her to make anything. And when one of her favorite stones slipped from her paws and PLUNKed into a huge pile of mud, she scowled. A small huff left the pup as she got up from her spot, and trotted over to the puddle, gingerly putting a paw in to search for the lost trinket.

Pich yelped as she hit something in the mud...and another paw. Her pink eyes opened wide as she jumped back and slipped on...something. She wound up on her back in a splash of mud, blinking at her dark sister. "Hi, Lela." She smiled brightly and wagged her mud-logged little tail. "Play?"

Lela couldn't help but smile at Pich, shaking her head softly, ears flopping all over rather comically. "In a minute, Pich. I lost one of my gems in the mud," she said, paw continuing its quest in the earth for the lost artifact.

Pich made an 'oh' motion with her mouth and righted herself. She then proceeded to dig through the mud, trying to help her sister. "Big gem, little gem?" She wanted to make sure she wouldn't grab a rock on accident.

"About the size of your toepad," Lela said, fishing around. She couldn't help but feel she got along with Pich the most out of all her siblings. After all, her sister had an air of quiet understanding, and didn't need many words to get her message across. Lela admired that.

Pich continued her feeling about, once sticking her nose into the mud and rooting around. That didn't work very well and she ended up sneezing mud. She yelped as she stepped on something again, then worked to roll it out. "Found I think!" She rolled out something about the size Lela described, but still covered in mud.

Lela quickly trotted over, carefully wiping her paw against it, and grinning at the glitter of midnight blue and gold. "Great job, Pich!" she said happily, licking her sisters cheek and returning the piece of lapis to her supply pile.

Pich sat up proudly, little tail wagging even more than it had been at the thought of play. She liked making her family happy with her. She got up and followed Lela happily. "Play now?" She was rather oblivious that her sister didn't like the rain...It was so pretty and nice afterall! No scorching heat.

Lela decided, after a moment of thought, that she could stop crafting long enough to play with Pich for a while. After all, Pich had just saved her latest creation by finding that gem. So with a big grin, her tail wagging, she pounced on Pich before darting off out of her reach.

Pich squeaked as she was pounced on, then watched as her sister darted off...After a few seconds, she yipped playfully and followed after, grin on her own face. She loved tag! And she would tag her sister...and then they could drag one of their brothers into it...Pich laughed as she ran.
