 Small paws wrapped around the rock and a small golden chain chimed lightly in the wind. The white golden 'munk grinned like a child at her new possession. It was the shiniest most beautiful rock in the whole world and it was all hers. She glanced around to make sure no one was near to see her small triumph. She didn't like to share her shinies with anyone. Now came the hardest part, she had to find a good place to hide her new pretty. She didn't like to hide everything in the same place in case someone found that place, then she would loose everything. No, she had to spread her things out so that she could handle loosing one or two because she would always have more. Her bangles and bracelets clinked as she ran about, looking for a good rock or knot in a tree.

 Princess Tutu had finished her daily stretches and now was dancing. Not just any dancing, though-- it was ballet. She had to keep in good shape! It would be awful if she got too fat for her lovely tutu. Her spotless, seamless, shiny tutu! Nothing was more perfect than it. Except, of course, herself. She was the most perfect thing in the world, and no one could forget that. Who could possibly be more beautiful? Princess Tutu was a pure white, like snow. Her eyes were sky blue dewdrops, her cheeks a blushing rose. Her lips were a tender pink, always ready to smile...
A storybook typical princess.
One, two, jump! Twirl, twirl, leap! That was her ballet, and how graceful it was! Chipmunks are normally thought of as stumpy, chubby little creatures. But Princess Tutu's legs were long, and she could spiral like an ice skater. That was why she was dizzy when she stopped to take a break. She watched with interest as Cleo was running about with something in her paws. Princess Tutu wondered what it was.

 Milk roll around in the mud and was happy fun. She watch the two other munk with much amusment. She didn't care what she look like, or what thing she could collect. The thing she like in the world was having fun with nature. She snort at the two other munk and laugh.
"Ha, The golden munk is as bad as the grey munk. So vain. Pfft, I'm glad I'm not like that!"she said as she snort again.
She roll around the mud again and became very messy and drity. She got out and ran to the munk who was dacing.
"Hello there gray munk! I'm Milk and it nice to meet cha!" She said with a grin. Her teeth was the only thing that wasn't cover in mud.

Princess Tutu was aghast. "Gray? Gray?! I am not gray! I am the purest white, purer than snow! And don't you forget it!" The princess took a tiny step back to make sure that no mud got on her beautiful coat or tutu or tiara. She stuck her nose haughtily up in the air. What was wrong with that munk, to intentionally get covered in mud, run up and insult royalty, and speak in such a familiar way? It was vulgar. Unacceptable.

"Yeah, it look more gray then white to me. My White fur it closer to snow then yours." She said with a laugh, "I'll show ya" she said. She shake throwing the mud it everywhere even getting it all over princess tutu. "Ah, sorry about that!"She said with a smile. "See!" she said as she piont to her fur. "Way more whiter then yours, sorry but yours look more rock gray!" She said with a sweet smile. "It nice to meet cha..., Oh I never got your name what is it?"she said with the sweet smile.

With the nimbleness of a ballerina, Princess Tutu leaped out of the way of the mud, not getting a single speck on her tutu. However, she did get a tiny splotch on her ear, which made her very angry. "You ignorant fool!" she cried. "Just look what you've done! You're not white! You're mud! Nothing but dirty, gross mud! Look where you're pointing, that's brown! You're brown with dark brown spots because you're mud." Princess Tutu whirled away with tears in her eyes. Oh, her lovely ear. She had to wash it immediately!
"Foolish commoner!" she shouted, running away. She had to find a stream and wash her ear, then dry it in the sun while combing it one hundred times. Then, once it was dry, she would comb it another hundred times to make it as silky soft as the rest of her body. While she was at it, she might as well take a full-body bath, she decided.
Soon she arrived at a calm, shallow river that had a rocky bottom. The water was as clear as crystal with no mud to be seen, so she removed her treasured tutu and tiara and set them on the grassy bank. She slipped into the water and began dutifully washing herself, particularly her muddied ear.
