I want to know what people's favorite types books are.

My favorite is Fantasy Adventure stories set back in mid evil times ((only with dragons and elves and the like)). My favorite type of this is R.A. Salvatore's The Legend of Drizzt. I higgly reccomend them to anyone who is even a little bit into fantasy ^^.

Dan Brown is my favorite but John Grisham is also high on my list. Bleachers touched my heart and the Client was a wonderful read for me.
Past authors, E. A. Poe, clean and straight. Berenice and the Raven are my favorites from him.

Genre wise, legal, adventure, sometimes a sad story but romance doesn't really fit well with me.

I'm not much of a romance person either. I did like the Twilight series, but I wouldn't have liked it as much if there hadn't been a few good action scenes ^^.

I want to see the movie before I read the series. Alot of my close friends say I'd like it.

The movie or the Books? I... didn't enjoy the movie as much as the books. It didn't do them justice, and it was kinda cheesy. I guess you SHOULD watch the movie first though. If you read them first you'll hate((well maybe just highly dislike compared to the books)) the movie.

My favourite types of books are those with a lot of action or those that have a good plot. I practically read anything from James Patterson's Maximum Ride (sci-fi/action/adventure) to Sherryl Jordan's Raging Quiet (romance/hurt/comfort). So yeah. ^^
I found Twilight alright to read but yes, the movie did the series no justice. But that's just my opinion. razz

I read basically anything. I prefer either fantasy or Historical fiction. I find the twilight series to be pulp fiction. Probably because they were just so generica nd people were freaking out about them. But if you ask... team Jacob. I also like books where there is some sort twist on another book. Like, "the looking glass wars", which I was persuaded to read by a younger sibling, was a re-make of Alice in Wonderland, and inspired me to write more. So I love Adventure. I dont like realistic stuff because it tends to be quite mopey.

Horror all the way. I love reading and writing stories that just make you want to put the book down and hide somewhere. I'll have to start posting my short stories on here soon.

Like Woven,I too like to read anything. If it catches my eyes and cranks up my mind I will read it.I don't care what it is...Although out of everything I still like the ol' fantasy hero save damsel in distress kind of stories though. I should get started on my own.

That would be interesting. There is a topic under "romance' that is discussing the "damsel in distress syndrome" as I like to call it. I have found that nowadays thought provoking plotlines are few and far between.

Very Interesting. Its true that those plotlines are indeed relic in state. That topic seems very rewarding to me. Thank you for pointing it out Woven.

I loved his Drizzt books! It's a very good series, and I'm looking for more of his works. I'm a very avid fan of fantasy, supernatural, and action. I do love having a bit of action and mystery thrown in there too.

My favorite genre is Fantasy, always has been. I'll read anything, but fantasy draws me to books like flies to honey.
