Sienna let out a huff of breath as she walked through the Rase Gardens of City Hall. This town was stuff, what with the winter event Vierces and now the bakery exploding and cake themed Vierces flung all over the place. Oh how she missed the cold confines of her mountain home. She wasn't even sure why she was still here. the winter event went off without a hitch and all the little ones seemed to of found a home. Sienna was just torturing herself now.

As her feet padded softly on the ground her eyes fell onto the fountain that sat in the middle of the gardens. Glistening water flowed all around a statue of the goddess, that stood in the middle of the fountain. Sienna placed her paws up on the edge of the fountain and hoisted herself up. Looking down into the crisp, clean water, her swirling eyes looked back at her. They looked weary to her. Lonesome even. Sighing she sat down and just stared at the water. Willing the pathetic look in her eyes to dissipate.

Rai was still getting used to the fact that he was real. The ability to walk just felt like too much freedom! But he'd give it up for nothing else, and found that his heart was content to simply feel the sunshine on his new skin.

He ambled along a path that was new to him. His feet reveled the smoothness of the ground, his nose rejoiced at the smell of colorful flowers! This seemed to be some kind of garden, and though nothing could surpass it's simple beauty, he couldn't help but feel a sort of gloom. Where it came from, he knew not. He only wished that he could understand this emotion better.

The sound of flowing water met his ears, and with a contented sigh, he leapt forward eagerly. He came upon the fountain not too far away; it's beauty made him pause and become silent. There, in the middle, was a statue of the goddess. The one that had created him... He bowed his head a bit in reverence, murmuring, "And it was you that gave me life." Then he heard a soft sound, light like the wings of a butterfly, yet beautiful like the rays of the sun. He turned, and a flash of yellow met his eyes.

"Eh... hello?" he called out, taking a curious step forward.

Sienna's ears twitched at the noise of another close by. Peeking around the statue silently she eyed a Vierce who looked strangely like a cake. Could it be one of the new ones already out exploring? She wasn't sure and she was honestly curious for the first time in what seemed like forever. She spread her wings out and pushed off the fountain edge with her back paws. Silently she flew up into the air and glided over the head of t he Vierce below.

Sienna listened as he talked to the statue. "So you ARE a cake Vierce.." She mumbled as she landed softly behind him. Sienna blinked as the Vierce turned around suddenly. Were his ears really that sensitive? She'd be so quiet with her landing. Frowing, she stepped back a bit, folding her outstretched wings into her body. "Hello..." She said as she trailed off and finally noticed the icing that seemed to cling to his body.

Rai could only watch as the female dierce winged over him, his expression one of astonishment. She had wings, just like him! And she flew, just like he did! It was... amazing.

He smiled as he gazed at her, and gave a small chuckle at her greeting. "Hi!" he exclaimed cheerfully, his orange eyes shining with excitement. But she did not readily reply, and his nose twitched slightly in confusion at her distracted gaze. Then he realized that she was staring at his icing appendages, and he gave a sheepish grin.

"Ah... heh, I suppose you've noticed our differences," he murmured, almost embarrassed. His wings fluttered at his sides. "But we're alike in some ways, I suppose!" He stepped forward, lining his eyes up with hers. "It is very nice to meet you. My name is Rai, given to me by the goddess herself! Would you mind if I knew yours?" His deep, soft voice was insistent, yet kind.

Sienna stepped back another inch or two. What was it with other Vierces and wanting to be so close to another? She huffed out a breath as his introduction. She supposed she could do the same, though she really wasn't sure if that was a wise idea or not. Doing so might make him think she planned to stick around town and be his friend. She didn't have plans for either of those situations. She wanted, no, needed to return to the solitude of her Eirwen based home. The company was literally driving her to the brink of crazyness.

However, her natural instincts to make a quick departure fell through. Something about this one intrigued her like no other ever had. Sienna found herself doing something so out of character it even surprised her when she uttered her name. "Mine's...Sienna.." She trailed off as her swirling pink and yellow eyes looked away from the strange Vierce. "Different...is something we most definitely are." Sienna's voice held a bit of wistfulness to it as she said this.

Rai smiled as she gave him her name, though he couldn't help but notice the twinge of hesitance that her sweet voice held. She seemed... sad? Or mistrustful. But who could mistrust Rai? He had never done anything wrong to anyone, or at least hadn't been alive long enough to do such a thing. And he believed that a thing so evil would never come to pass, for his heart was filled with the joy of simple life.

"Well, I'm glad that I chanced upon you, Sienna. You have a lovely name. I bet the goddess was thinking of a beautiful sunset when she created you, hm?" he rambled, though in a passionate voice that spoke of his true love for living. He unintentionally sat on the ground, his wings lazily trailing out to the sides. He smiled almost drunkenly as he gazed at the goddess's gleaming statue.

"I'm so happy that she created me! And even though I'm different, I'm thankful that I can still feel the sun on my face and the wind through my mane. Aren't you, Sienna?" he asked sincerely, turning towards the bright Vierce female.

Sienna's eyebrows flew up in even more surprise. Someone was actually glad to have met her? That was a first. Though, it wasn't like she strived to have the approval of others or even tried to befriend them. She preferred her solitude. At least, that's what she kept telling herself.

Sienna cringed at the talk of the goddess. Such...nonsense. That's all that was. Albeit, she did have to admit that the cake like vierce were somewhat of a...miracle. "I was...created by my parents..." She muttered as she looked back up at Rai. "The goddess had no part in my being.." She huffed out a frustrated breath as past memories of a young Sienna and her parents played through her mind. Shaking her head, she banished those thoughts from her consciousness. That's why she'd left this place. Too many memories. Too many others praising the goddess. What had she ever done for Sienna?

Sienna's eyes trailed up to the statue of the goddess but they held no love in their depths. No praise. Nothing. She blinked back to reality as a question was floated her way. "I am...contented with life.." She said with a shrug of her shoulders.

Rai contemplated her words for a moment, his eyes clouding slightly. Parents... he hadn't an idea of the what the word meant. Yes, he knew what parents were, but he had simply come into being. He hadn't been born. Which raised questions like: What is it like to grow up? To have parents? To be cared for? To learn things at a steady rate, instead of having everything dumped on you at the moment you come into the world? In truth, his heart suddenly yearned for those feelings, those experiences. A strange sadness came to him; but he refused to let it overtake him. He was alive. Was that not enough?

"Contented?" he asked, though the tone of her voice hinted otherwise. She seemed almost lonely, as if she cared for nothing, or perhaps had not the chance. Perhaps her life hadn't been great, as Rai imagined everything to be? She seemed so bright, so capable of being cheerful. But her heart was a different story, and her eyes were a portal that conveyed the sadness in her soul.

he glanced away, his paws curling in the grass. "I've no right to assume that you live one way or the other, but I take it that your life has not been all that I think it was. Perhaps... I misunderstand you. But please, forgive me. Though I have the intelligence of an adult, I have only recently come into life. I have not yet been introduced to the negative experiences yet." He gave a soft smile, once again turning back to Sienna.
