X Using for breeding? Calum sat on his and Syd's bed, his tail flicking over the bed. It felt strange, being back on the bed he had thought he'd never be on again. Syd yawned, laying on his back on the bed and staring at the ceiling, his tail swishing rather lazily. He hummed to himself, and played around with his hair. Calum turned his head to stare at Syd from the corner of his eyes. In a shy manner, he crawled over to Syd. Syd looked over to Calum and grinned up at him. Calum smiled back, then stretched out beside Syd. Syd sighed, throwing an arm around Calum. "I missed this," mumured Calum, he nuzzled at Syd's shoulder. Syd nodded, kissing his forehead. "I did too..." He smiled, "I'm glad you're back..." "So am I." Calum wrapped his arms around Syd. Syd looked Calum over, smiling. He nuzzled at Calum and kissed him. Calum returned the kiss, his tail thumping against the bed in a show of happiness. Syd sighed, pulling away from the kiss, not sure what to say. So, he finally resulted in a shy, "I love you..." Calum smiled, finding the shyness cute. He stroked Syd's cheek and murmured, "I love you too." Syd smiled, nuzzling at Calum's hand. He sighed, though, "I still feel bad about everything, though..." Calum closed his eyes and willed the memory away. He shifted, pulled Syd closer as he hid his face in the crook of Syd's neck. Syd sighed, nuzzling Calum gently, his hand slinking up to play with his hair. It still hurt, to think about what happened. Calum imagined that it always would. He placed a simple kiss on Syd's neck. "Can we...just not speak of it?" Syd nodded, "Of course, love..." He muttered, "I'm sorry for mentioning it..." He wrapped his arms around Calum and pulled him closer. "It's fine." Calum pulled back. "So are we on a honey moon of sorts now?" Syd yawned, "Honey moon..." He thought for a moment, "I don't know...I guess so..." He frowned, "You deserve a fancy honey moon, though, instead of just staying home. I wish I could take you somewhere." "I prefer just staying home though." Calum looked over their room. "I'm a creature of comfort Syd, and my comfort can only be found here." Syd smiled, a tad crookedly, and nuzzled at Calum, "Well, then, I suppose this is fitting, then?" "Yes." Calum smiled as he was nuzzled. His eyes sliding closed as he reached up to stroke Syd's cheek. "It is." Syd's smile grew and he nuzzled at Calum's hand, leaning in and kissing him on the forehead. Calum released a content and happy sigh. He murmured, "I love you," and tilted his head to capture Syd's lips in a kiss. Syd blinked, about to reply, but was too late. He sighed, almost purring into the kiss and his eyes closed, and he sighed happily, returning it. One of Calum's hands traveled up to trace a finger along one of Syd's ears. He pulled back, only to dip back in a second later for a more passionate kiss. Syd shuddered, a hand slinking up and curling its fingers around Calum's hair. As his one hand continued to trace Syd's ear, Calum other slid down Syd's chest and to his stomach. He once again pulled away from the kiss, but just barely. He was still close enough that his breath brushed against Syd's lips. His eyes slid opened as he murmured in what he hoped was a seductive tone, "If this is our honey moon, don't you think we should start it right?" Syd smirked, "Of course..." He said, and then....ISHIE SLAPPED UP A GIANT CENSOR SIGN!! *Cackles* ------ Some time Later----- Calum's tail flicking in a content and lazy manner as he laid stretched out on his stomach. His glasses were resting on a near by pillow and his eyes were closed. Incoherent mumbling fell from his lips as he smiled lazily. Syd sighed, on his back and staring at the ceiling like he was in some drug induced hallucinatory bliss. His tail swished slowly, and he grinned. Syd rolled and his tail flopped over Calum's. He leaned in and kissed his cheek. Blond fur mixed with black as Calum's tail wrapped around Syd's. He knew that he should probably get up. But he couldn't summon the energy, or the desire, to. Instead he lazily nuzzled at Syd's shoulder. Syd closed his eyes, nuzzling Calum back. "Outside of sex, what is it people are supposed to do on a honey moon " Calum mumbled into Syd's shoulder. Syd thought for a moment, "I don't know..." He shrugged, not really sure about the whole marriage thing. "Guess we'll just have to wing it then." Calum yawned and kissed Syd's shoulder. "I think I'm hungry." "Me too..." He frowned, wanting to go to the kitchen but too lazy to get up. He sighed, "I suppose we should eat, then?" "We should..." Calum placed one last kiss on Syd's shoulder then rolled. He put on his glasses and climbed off the bed. Syd smiled at the kiss, rolling, almost falling off the bed, flailing a little, and then springing up, with a twitch. Unsure whether to laugh or not at Syd''s actions, Calum bit the inside of his cheek. "Alright dear?" Syd cackled, blushing a bit, and he looked back at Calum, "Yeah...I'm fine.." He said, grinning sheepishly. Calum stared at Syd, chuckled and began to dress. Putting on his black dress pants and a dark blue sweater. Syd yawned, just putting on some baggy black sweat pants and an old t-shirt with a chicken on it. Calum glanced at Syd, then headed straight down to the kitchen. His mind already thinking about what he might make. Syd blinked and slowly shuffled after Calum, sort of staring at his husband's a**. Unaware of Syd's attention, Calum yawned and ran a hand through his hair. "Do you want me to cook anything dear?" Syd shook his head, "No, no, love!" He said, "Let me cook." He grinned, "It's our honeymoon...so...well..." He frowned, not exactly sure of what to say. "Alright." Calum smirked, pleased with the idea of watching Syd cook for him. When they entered the kitchen Calum hopped up on the counter and kicked his legs like a child. Syd grinned. He leaned up against a counter and looked over at tapped his chin, "What do you want, love?" "Hmm..." Not quite sure what he wanted, Calum shrugged and said, "Surprise me." Syd sighed, "Fine, fine." He pushed off of the counter, and looked around, pulling out various pots and pans. Calum sat back to watch Syd work. Enjoying the homeyness of having a husband prepare a meal for him. Syd hummed to himself as he took out the ingredients, which was basically just bacon and a tomato. He took a big knife and started to chop the tomatoes. Calum's ears perked in interest as he tried to figure out what Syd is making. But then his mind began to drift again as he watched Syd. After setting the tomato aside, Syd began chopping the bacon, almost artistically, taking off all of the fat. He then took the bacon and tossed it in pan and fried it, draining off all of the access fat and oil. Calum's tail flicked as it dangled over the edge of he counter. "You should cook more often my dear." Syd shook his head, taking the tomato and putting it in a saucepan with the bacon. "I'm no good, really..." He said, stirring them and adding two oxo cubes in. "I'm not sure about that." Calum tilted his head and smirked. "Either way though, it's hot." Syd looked over to Calum, "Hot...?" He smirked, and stirring until the mixture bubbled. He then sprinkled on some salt and pepper and took out two bowls, scooping it in there and grabbing some bread and sticking it in the toaster. He took the two bowls and served them up, and then, put the toast on a plate and got out some butter. "Well, there." "Yes, very hot," murmured Calum. He sniffed at the air, his stomach growling in response. "Smells good." Syd smirked, setting out some spoons, "What do you want to drink, love?" Calum hopped off the counter. "Just water please." Syd whistled, taking two glasses and pouring water, and then handed one of them to Calum. "Thanks." Calum took the glass from Syd before moving over to take a seat. Syd took a seat across from Calum and stared at his bowl. Calum dipped in, his ears perking the second the food had touched his tongue. He practically inhaled the food, having not eaten any real food since the day had left. Syd watched Calum for a moment, smirking, and starting to eat, but, not as enthusiastically as Calum. When his food was all gone, Calum stared at his bowl. Wondering how could he could just shovel it all away like that. "Guess I was hungrier than I thought..." Syd blinked, "That was quick..." He finished up his food and took his and Calum's bowl and plopped them in the sink. Calum blushed a little and shrugged. "I'll do the dishes later." Syd waved a hand, "Nonsense!" He said, looking over to Calum and smiling. Calum drank his water, then got up and put the glass in the sink. "You cooked, so I'll do clean up." He leaned over and nuzzled at Syd. Syd nuzzled him back, "No, don't worry, I'll do it...just relax." "It's your honey moon too, I'm not the only one that should be relaxing." Calum kissed Syd's cheek. Syd frowned slightly, "But...I..." He sighed, and crossed his arms, pouting almost. "You truly are an odd man. Pouting because I won't let you do the dishes." Calum chuckled, then leaned in to kiss Syd. A shy smile spread across Syd's face and he returned the kiss, slinging an arm around Calum's waist. Calum leaned into Syd, his arms wrapping around his husband's neck. He pulled out of the kiss to nuzzle again. Syd smirked, returning the nuzzle, "How about we do it together...?" "One dry, one wash?" Calum pulled away from Syd and moved over to the sink. Syd nodded, "Alright then." He said, grabbing a dish towel, "Which one do you want to do...?" "I'll clean." Calum picked up the sponge then began to soak it with with soap and warm water. He begins to rinse all the dishes. Behind his, tail lazily swishes. Syd played with the dish towel while waiting for the first dish, frowning at how pale he was in comparison to the cloth. Calum looked at Syd from the corner of his eyes while cleaning off one of the bowls. "Something wrong dear?" Syd shook his head, "No, nothing's wrong." Calum handed over the bowl before starting on the other one. "Then what's with the frown?" Syd took the bowl, "It's nothing...really!" He said quietly as he started to dry it. Setting the other bowl to the side for drying, Calum started on a plate. He looked at Syd as he washed. "Are you sure Syd?" Syd nodded, "I'm sure, love." He said, leaning over and giving Calum a quick kiss on the cheek. He set the bowl to the side and started on the other bowl. The plate was set aside for drying as Calum started on the other one. He nodded. "Alright then." Syd hummed, setting the second bowl aside and started on the plate. Calum's ears perked at the humming as he placed the other plate to the side for drying. His pace picking up as he scrubbed a pan. Almost done. Syd stopped drying the first plate and started on the second one, his tail swishing back and fourth. Once the pan was finished, Calum started on the silverware. His tail wagging behind him as he rocked on the balls of his feet. Syd's tail swished slowly as he dried, occasionally bumping against Calum's legs or tail. Calum shoved all the silverware to Syd and stepped back as he finished. Stroking a hand down Syd's side as steps back. Syd smirked as he felt the hand, and stepped back next to Calum after he was done with the silverware. Without a word, Calum turned and began walking out of the kitchen. His hands in his pockets and his tail flicking behind him. His lips formed a mischievous smirk once his back was facing Syd. Syd flicked an ear and he stared after Calum curiously. He set down the rag and followed after him. Calum paused at the bottom of the stairs. His smirk leaving as he turns his head to look at Syd from over his shoulder. "I'm going to take a shower." Syd's ears perked, more excited than he should've been, "Shower, hm?" His tail flicking behind him. Calum nodded, and raised a brow as he looked at Syd expectantly. Wondering if Syd would know what he was waiting for. Syd fidgeted, biting his lip, and wondering whether he should ask what was on his mind or not. Calum shook his, trying to look offended while biting his bottom lip to hold in a smile. "Well? What kind of husband doesn't offer to wash his lover's back?" Syd grinned, "Oh!" His tail wagged rather rapidly. "Fine, love. May I wash your back...?" "Yes, you may," said Calum, a purring growl mixing with his voice. His tail flicking in a seductive manner. ----- After the Shower---- Syd sighed, sort of flopped out at the bottom of the shower, grinning like a girl who'd just gotten her first kiss. Calum stared down at Syd in amusement, before edging out around his husband. He went over to collect a towel. A chuckle slipping out. Syd sighed, and then sat up and climbed out, grabbing a towel. Calum dries himself in a somewhat blind state. Only able to see blurs since he had taken his glasses off to shower. "Do you see where my pants are Syd?" Squints his eyes as he tries to make out some of the blurs. Syd, who was drying off his hair, reached over to grab Calum's pants and handed them to him. "Here..." "Thanks." Calum slid on his pants, nearly falling over in the process. After righting himself, he blushed slightly and coughed. Then reached out to run his hands along the sink, in search of his glasses. Syd looked over to where Calum's glasses were and he reached over, and grabbed them, handing them to him. He then went back to drying himself off and getting dressed. "Thanks...again." Calum slid on his glasses, then blinked. He tilted his head, then reached down to pick up his sweater. But instead of putting it on, he leaned against the bathroom door and watched Syd dress. Syd smiled as he pulled on is pants, "You're welcome, love." He bent over and picked up his shirt, and then looked over to Calum, blushing slightly, "What..." In the back of his mind, Calum wondered if he was indeed turning into a pervert. He smiled in a casual manner and said, "Just enjoying the view dear." Syd smirked, putting on his shirt with a teasing grin, sort of a reverse strip tease. "Sexy dear," said Calum with a chuckle. He reached behind himself and opened the bathroom door. Doing a little as he exited, his sweater still dangling from his grasp. Syd grinned, following after Calum, his tail swishing behind him. Calum pulled on his sweater as he walked. "What would you like to do now?" Syd shrugged, "Anything you want to." "I picked the last activity." With a brow raised, Calum turned to face Syd. "Or have you forgotten already?" Syd sighed, "Right..." He smiled, "I don't care what about what we do, love." "You're so difficult to work with Syd," said Calum with false annoyance. He rolled his eyes then reached out to drag Syd closer. Syd sighed, and shrugged. He leaned up against Calum, and smirked. Calum leaned in and kissed Syd, While thinking about what they could do. Syd smiled into the kiss, returning it, his tail swishing behind him. Pulling back, Calum smiled and took Syd's hand. He lightly tugged on it, then began to lead him to the living room. Syd blinked, and flopped on the couch. Calum flipped through the movies, not sure what to pick. "...Comedy or horror?" Syd thought for a moment, "Horror." Deciding on 'The Ring 2,' Calum popped the movie in and walked over to join Syd on the couch. Syd flicked his tail, throwing an arm around Calum once he sat down. Calum leaned into Syd, this really his whole reason for picking a movie in the first place. So he could just curl up and lounge with his husband. Syd sighed, kissing Calum's cheek while the movie started. "Have you seen this one before?" asked Calum. He rested his head on Syd's shoulder as he got comfortable. Syd shook his head, "No..." He said, "Is it scary?" Calum shrugged. "Depends if you find this kind of thing scary." Syd grinned, a bit morbidly, "We'll have to see, then." "I'm here to hold you if get scared," said Calum with a smirk. "Psh." Syd scoffed, "I'll be the one holding you." "Excuse me?" Calum raised a brow and poked Syd's shoulder. "Who is the supernatural creature here?" Syd snorted, and then looked around for Dreville. He sighed, once he assured himself that she wasn't anywhere near. "Right." He said, shaking his head, "Whatever." "..." It instantly clicked in Calum's mind who Syd was looking for. He frowned at the memory of Dreville and stayed silent as he looked at the TV. Syd nuzzled Calum and also looked at the TV. "What's the matter, love?" "It's nothing," murmured Calum. One of his arms slid out to wrap around Syd as he leaned into the nuzzling. Syd frowned and kissed Calum, not really paying attention to the movie now. Calum's ears flicked in surprise at the kiss, before he leaned into it. Syd smiled as Calum leaned in, and he pulled away, his hand moving up as he played with Calum's hair. Like a puppy wanting to be petted, Calum leaned into Syd's touch. Syd nuzzled Calum, going back to watching the movie. He jumped, however, when something scary happened. "Scared?" Calum raised a brow in amusement. He settled back against the couch. Staring at the screen with unseeing eyes as his mind drifted. Syd shook his head, "Of course not." He said, "It just...surprised me." "Mmm." Calum shifted, stretching out on the couch and laying his legs over Syd's lap. "Syd?" Syd looked over to Calum, "what?" Calum's lips formed an evil smirk as he whispered, "7 days." Syd frowned, and sort of slapped at one of Calum's legs, "Shad up!" A deep laugh erupted from Calum's mouth as he leaned against the arm rest of the couch. "No need to get violent now dear." Syd scoffed, and sort of flopped a leg over Calum's. Calum raised a brow, then shifted slightly as he got comfortable. In a sing song voice he said, "I love you sweety." "Sweety?" Syd rolled his eyes playfully, and went back to watching the movie, but eventually ended up jumping again and grabbing at Calum. Calum honestly didn't know why, but horror movies tended to bring out his playful side. He blinked in surprise when he was grabbed at. Syd blinked, his ears flicking, as his gaze stayed glued to the screen. Awkwardly, Calum scootched closer to Syd. His legs hangs over the couch's other armrest as he half sat in Syd's lap and half sat between his legs. He rested his hands on the leg of Syd's that overlapped his own, then rested against Syd. Syd wrapped his arms around Calum, actually, he more or less clung to him, still jumping every now or then. Resisting the urge to tease Syd some more, Calum allowed himself to enjoy being held. Even though it was out of fright. He nuzzled at Syd every now and then, and rubbed at his side. Syd returned the nuzzles every once and a while, jumping less often. But, for good measure, he remained clinging to him. Calum planned to make Syd watch horror movies with him more often. He was enjoying this to much. Syd twitched, biting at his bottom lip. Calum had begun to doze as he leaned against Syd. Just a light doze though. Kind of hard to really fall asleep with your pillow jumping every now and then. He flicked an ear as the ending credits rolled across he screen. Syd twitched as the movie ended, still clinging to Calum. Unable to resist, Calum muttered, "7 days." Syd frowned, pawing at Calum, "Stop!" Calum laughed and nuzzled tiredly. "Sorry dear," Yawns, "I couldn't resist." Syd frowned, twitched, and crossed his arms, "That's just cruel." "I'm a cruel person." Awkwardly sliding off of Syd's lap, Calum stretched and went over to turn the DVD player off. Syd sighed, sitting on the couch and clinging to his own tail. "Scared Syd?" Calum put the movie away. With his hand stuffed in his pockets, he rocked on his heels and stared at Syd. "Psh." He shook his head, "I'm not scared." He let go of his tail and looked up at Calum, biting the inside of his lip. Though once he heard a noise come from out side, perhaps a bird or something, he flailed and grabbing his tail. Calum raised a brow, then shook his head. "Come now dear, I'll protect you from the big bad monsters of the night." Syd sighed, and shook his head before standing. "No, no...I'm fine...I'm fine..." He muttered, mostly talking to himself, as he ran a hand through his hair, "I'm a grown man, right? A little bit of a pansy, true, but, still a man." "A man indeed." Calum's tail flicked as he watched Syd. Syd grinned, and walked up to Calum, slapping his a**. A blush worked its way onto Calum's face as he jumped. Syd grinned and kissed Calum on the cheek. "A slap on the a** and the a kiss on the cheek?" Calum raised a brow, then nuzzled at Syd. "You after something dear?" Syd shook his head, "Nope...!" He grinned and wagged his tail. "Alright then," murmured Calum. He continued to nuzzle ay Syd's cheek in a content manner. Syd nuzzled at Calum in return, starting to feel a bit hyper for some reason. Where as Syd was beginning to feel hyper, Calum was beginning to wind down. He slid his arms up to wrap around Syd's neck. Syd blinked, and wrapped his arms around Calum's waist, and kissed his forehead. "I love you," mumbled Calum. Syd smiled and nuzzled Calum, "I love you too..." "What do we do now?" Calum ran his fingers through Syd's hair. "Want to watch another movie? Head to bed? Anything?" Syd shrugged, "Anything. I don't care." Calum looks close to pouting as he stares up at Syd. "I've picked the last two activities now. It's your turn." Syd fidgeted, "I don't want to choose..." He said, frowning. "Because what if I choose the wrong thing and it turns out we both really wanted to do something else." "Don't worry about that." Calum kissed the corner of Syd's lips. "I don't care what we do as long as I do it with you." Syd smiled, "See? It's so hard to choose." He shrugged, "I guess we could watch another movie. But I want to pick it." Calum chuckled and pulled back. "Didn't like my movie choice?" Syd shook his head, "I liked it, love." He smirked, "But you got to pick it and I want a turn." He moved and looked through their movies, "What sounds better? English conjoined twin punk rockers? Or a three day trip to Las Vegas with...lots and lots...and lots...of drugs...?" He looked over to Calum, "Hm?" "They both sound so interesting." Calum sat down on the couch and tapped his fingers as he thought. "The Las Vegas one." Syd took the DVD out and put it in, wiggling a bit excitedly, "Good choice, mate." He walked over to the couch and sat down. Calum shifted and laid his head on Syd's lap. "What genre is it?" Syd thought, "Comedy? Dark comedy?" He shrugged, "Never really thought about it." Soon, the movie started, with the most epic lines in history, or, at least in Syd's opinion. 'We were somewhere outside of Barstow, when the drugs began to take hold.' Syd smirked, lazily throwing an arm over Calum's shoulders. "Dark comedy?" Calum shifted, his tail lazily flicking. "I like that." Syd smirked, chuckling at certain parts. Though most of the humor, for him, was probably seen only because he'd experienced it all and had it all coursing through him at one point. Calum mostly remained silent as he watched, a chuckle slipping out every now and then. Syd watched with amusement, snickering. Calum nuzzled at Syd's leg. Syd sighed as the movie ended, with one last high speed drive into the dessert. He grinned, "So...?" "Interesting movie," said Calum as he fought off a yawn. "Much better than my pick." He shrugged, "I liked yours..." He looked over to Calum, "Tired...?" "Sort of," mumbled Calum, half lying. He was exhausted really. Syd yawned, and stood up, stopping the movie and putting it back in its case. "Let's go to bed, then..." "Bed sounds nice." Calum stretched out his legs and groaned. "Moving doesn't." "You could always sleep on the couch." Syd said, "But It wouldn't be very comfortable...and I'd be so lonely in such a big bed with no one to share it with..." "Alright, alright." Calum lifted a hand. "Help me up." Syd took Calum's hand and pulled him up. Calum groaned in an exagerated manner and trudged to the stairs. He slowly climbed up them. Syd walked in front of him, turned into their bedroom and flopped on the bed, letting out a content sigh. Crawling onto the bed, Calum curled up on his side. "I love this bed." Syd smiled, "I do too, love." He smiled, rolled and snuggled up to Calum. "Mmm." Calum nuzzled at Syd. "Think we could get a three way marriage?" He patted the bed and grinned. Syd pretended to look hurt, "No!" "Oh so it can be involved with the sex, but not the marriage?" Calum wrapped his arms around Syd and yawned. Syd nodded, "Yup." He said, "Because...what if, when I'm old and look disgusting, what if you decide to leave me but stay with the bed!" He frowned and whimpered slightly at the thought. "That would never happen. You're stuck with me Syd." Calum leaned in and softly kissed his husband. "Good." Syd smirked into the kiss. Calum pulled back, then snuggled closer. He began to drift off as he mumbled, "Good night." Syd nuzzled at Calum, closing his eyes, "Night..." He said, also beginning to drift off.

Using for breeding? Syd danced through the house his iPod in his hand. He looked like he was in one of the commercials with the dancing people. But he looked far less glamorous than them, because he had a little bit more than a five o clock shadow, mussed up hair, and was wearing some ratty old skinny jeans with a shirt with a big pop art chicken on it. Sadie giggled as she watched her papa dance around the house. He acted like such a child at times. But it was one of the things she loved about him. Calum was hiding out in the library, his legs stretched out as he read. Like Syd, he was also sporting some stubble since he hadn't worked up the will to shave yet. Though, probably not as much as Syd. Syd wiggled down the hallway, smirking at Sadie as he almost bumped into her, as he looked for Calum, dancing down the stairs and dancing into the library, but once he saw that Calum was reading, he danced back out and flopped on the couch. Calum raised a brow as Syd danced in and then out. He waited a beat to see if his husband would come back in. When he didn't he marked his page and went to investigate. Sadie nearly ran into her daddy as she skipped by. She cheerfully waved at him before heading over to the couch. With a mighty leap and a shout of "Bonzai!" she leaped onto Syd's back. "Oof!" Syd flailed slightly as he was jumped on. He turned off his iPod and screeched, "ATTACK. I'M BEING ATTACKED. HELP." Sadie went into a fit of giggled and made herself comfortable. Stretching out between Syd's back spikes. Calum simply stared at them, not quite ready to risk 'saving' Syd. Syd grumbled, and just sat there. He looked over to Calum, "Psh. Some husband you are." He muttered, grumbling some more. Calum shrugged and smirked. "I pick my battles dear." Sadie pouted as she pretended to be hurt. "Papa want me to go?" Syd frowned, "a**." He sighed, "No, love, stay there." He said, smirking to Calum, "It makes me perfectly and completely inaccessible." "Inaccessible?" Sadie blinked, not quite getting it at first. But then it clicked in her head. She giggled again, "Ohhhh." Calum rolled his eyes, then shrugged. "What else is new?" He rubbed at his stubble, then headed into the kitchen. Syd smirked, "Aww, come back." He said, reaching out for Calum, "No, wait, stay there, I've got such a lovely veiw of you." Calum turned and stared at Syd in confusion. "...?" Syd shook his head, "No, turn around, turn around!" "..." Calum rolled his eyes and turned back around to head into the kitchen. "What's papa staring at?" Sadie placed her head by Syd's to try and see what he found so interesting. Syd grinned like the deviant he was as stuck his thumbs and forefingers of each hand to form a frame, right on Calum's a**. Sadie stared, still not getting it. And when it finally dawned on her, she smacked Syd's shoulder. "Papa, stop being a perv. It's creepy!" Syd sighed, "Fine, love, fine." He said, "But I have to taint your mind sometime, right? Teach you the ways of being a hot perv? It's my responsibility as your father, you know." His tail flicked, "Plus, now that you're an adult, you'll have plenty of opportunities," His tone became sarcastic, "You know...to disappoint your loved ones and ruin all your relationships..." He grumbled and frowned, his ears flopping. "You can find better ways to taint it than staring at daddy's a** when I'm around. That's just scarring," Sadie muttered as she shuddered. She poked at Syd's ears, wondering if she had upset him."Why would I want to disappoint you and daddy? Or ruin my relationships?" Syd frowned, "I was being sarcastic..." He mumbled, looking rather grumpy all of a sudden. "I don't want you to be scarred. I don't want you to ruin your relationships, or disappoint us." He waited a beat, and flicked an ear, "Well, you can disappoint us, but it has to be for a good reason. Nothing weird like getting pregnant or doing drugs. Satanic, sacrificial ritual? I might let that fly." "Satanic and sacrifical rituals you might let fly? That's good to know, since Meth and I were planning to start a cult," said Sadie in a completely serious tone of voice. Syd nodded, "Oh, Meth is a good person to start a cult with. He 's surprisingly business savvy, especially when he's drunk." He said, "Make sure you keep a lot of booze supplied when you take over an island and create your utopia. But no mass suicides, they give me nightmares." "Will do papa." chirped Sadie as she patted Syd on the head. Calum walked back in with a glazed donut. He stared at the two, wondering what he had missed. "Oh, hi Calum." Syd said, grinning, "Sadie and Meth are going to make a wonderful cult and move away to an island to brainwash poeple. Isn't that wonderful?" Calum simply raised a brow, having gotten used to all this by now. "Lovely. Be sure to send us back a souvenoir Sadie." "Will do daddy," chirped Sadie as she held back more giggles. Syd smirked, "Yus, lots and lots of souvenirs." He said, "And maybe you'll invite us? I don't know about me, but your father could use a tan." "I don't tan, I burn," said Calum as he took a bite out of his donut. "You will two will always be welcome on the island." Sadie nuzzled at Syd's back. "I'd miss you two if you didn't visit me." Syd shrugged, "It's better than what I do! I don't do anything! I just get disgusting freckles!" He frowned, but then grinned at Sadie, "Good." He said, his tail wagging behind him, "Make sure they have an open bar." "Freckles?" Calum raised a brow, trying to picture Syd with freckles. "Why?" Sadie poked at Syd's shoulder. "You can get smashed papa?" Syd nodded, "Lots of them. They're ugly." He muttered, "I look diseased with them." He smirked at Sadie, "Yes. And you're old enough. You can get smashed too!" He said, "I watched a cooking show and the lady was cooking with her son, and she kept ranting about how wonderful it was that her son was legal to have a beer. I think they were having incestuous love behind the scenes, though." "I'm not old enough now?" asked Sadie, her face scrunched up in confusion. She figured that this is as old as she's going to get. "...What's incestuous love?" Syd blinked, "You are old enough...you can get as smashed as you want and no one can do anything...not even us...maybe we can...I'm not sure." He twitched, "It's when...two family members, closer related than second cousins, have...you know...they get their poke on." Sadie looked over at over at Calum. Calum stared back at her with an expression that said it all. She could try to get smashed around him, but he wouldn't let it happen. Sadie shook her head. "That's...eww." Syd's tail flopped playfully behind him, and he grinned rather idiotically, forgetting what he was going to say. Deciding that she would give her papa a break, Sadie kissed Syd's cheek then hopped off his back. Calum seemed to be off in a world of his own as he picked at his donut. Syd rolled onto his back, watching Sadie for a moment before watching Calum his tail flicking and he yawned, his brief spout of hyperactivity wearing away. Sadie noticed that Syd was once again watching Calum. She tilted her head. "Papa, what's love like?" Syd blinked, his ear flicking, and he looked over at his daughter, "Love...?" He thought for a moment, looking around, before finally looking back at Calum, "It's..." He bit his lip, unable to explain. "It's just...when you've been alone, to the point where no one seems like they care...you find someone, and you know, for sure, that with them, every thing will be better, bad things might happen, but, with all your might, you believe that, in the end, it'll be the best thing you've ever had..." Sadie frowned as she thought over Syd's response. Running it through her head and taking it apart bit by bit. "So, I can't find love without being alone first?" Syd shook his head, "No, no, you can be as happy as you want...that's just what it's like for me." He shrugged, "Even though, I guess I was never really alone..." "Ohhh." Sadie blinked, then frowned. "That sounds so sad papa." She leaned over kiss Syd's cheek. A moment later, she could feel her fur standing up as a shadow loomed over her. She looked up to meet Calum's eyes, surprised to find him standing right behind her. "Sadie, go upstairs and pack up some more of your things," said Caum, his hands hooked in his pockets. "Why?" asked Sadie as she blinked in puzzlement. "Because I'm about to make out with your father," responded Calum as he raised a brow. Sadie's face wrinkled in disgust and she let out an "Ewww." But she giggled as she ran up the stairs. Syd shook his head, "It isn't sad, it'd be sad if I were still that way, but I'm perfectly happy." He smiled as Sadie kissed him on the cheek, and he looked up at Calum, smirking slightly as he watched the exchange between him and Sadie. He sighed as she ran up the stairs and looked up to Calum somewhat expectantly. Calum took Sadie's spot and watched as his and Syd's daughter ran up the stairs. Once she was out of sight, he turned to Syd and planted a kiss right on his lips. Syd smiled against Calum's lips and returned the kiss, his tail swishing about next to him. Calum pulled back when he needed air. Stroking at his husbands cheek, he placed a couple of more soft pecks on Syd's lips. "I love you." Syd smiled, "I love you too..." He mumbled, nuzzling at Calum and returning the pecks. Syd smiled, "I love you too..." He mumbled, nuzzling at Calum and returning the pecks. "It's interesting, isn't it," murmured Calum, not really expecting Syd to get what he was talking about. Syd's right ear flicked, "Interesting...?" He asked, a curious look spreading across his face. "Mmhmm." Calum leaned in and kisses Syd again. "That we started off as strangers in a bar. You sneaking peeks at me, and me trying to figure out why." Syd returned the kiss and nodded, "I actually wondered if I should stalk you or not..." He mumbled, blushing, "I couldn't help but think you were lovely..." He smirked, "But maybe it was because I was half drunk." He said, playfully. "Stalk me?" Both of Calum's brows went up in surprise. He chuckled at the next bit. "Gee thanks, that's an ego booster." Syd smirked, "Mnhm..." He chuckled, and then blushed, "You were too pretty, I couldn't say hi..." "It's probably a good thing you didn't," muttered Calum as he ran his fingers through Syd's hair. Syd nodded, "I was very tempted..." He frowned, "But you were with that girl..." He sighed, "She could've been your girlfriend, you know, and, if I went up to you acting like my typical half drunk faggy self, she could've attacked me with her woman claws and I would become even more drunk and depressed and where would I be now?" Calum wondered if he should tell Syd that when he first saw Syd, thought that Syd had been sent to kill him. He shook his head, then leaned in to kiss Syd again. "Oh well, things turned out for the better." Syd smiled at the kiss and grinned, "Exactly. And I'm afraid to say that there is absolutely no way you're ever getting rid of me." He said, "I'll be on your doorstep every night with a flower, and I'll serenade you with annoying love songs." "I don't doubt that," murmured Calum. He patter Syd on the cheek, then climbed to his feet. Rubbing at the short whiskers on his feet, he stretched and let out a yawn. Syd looked Calum over as he stretched, and then he sighed as his arms flopped over the couch. Suddenly he frowned and looked a little concerned, "Do you think she needs our help...?" He mumbled, referring to Sadie and her packing. "I don't know." Calum continued to rub at his whiskers, the urge to shave getting more powerful. "I already boxed up the big stuff...wouldn't hurt to check though." Syd chewed on his lip, he probably wouldn't shave for another day or so, he liked how he looked with whiskers. "Well...let's check then. She could've been smashed by now!" "Would've heard a loud bang if that had happened," said Calum as he headed to the stairs and began to climb up them. Syd frowned, "But what if it's like that tree thing, if you aren't around to hear it does it make a sound?" He fidgeted before climbing off the couch and following Calum. Calum bit his tongue to not comment. The whole tree thing being an area he and a friend of his used to debate often. Sadie laid on her bed, her few things packed in boxes. She picked at her blanket, nervous about leaving home. Syd sighed, turning into Sadie's room and he looked up at her, "Oh...you're done." He mumbled a bit sadly. "Yep." Sadie nodded and looked over the room. "You gonna miss me?" Syd nodded, "Of course..." He said, a finger curling around his hair. "Well...you won't for long right?" Sadie grinned mischievousely and wagged her brows at her parents. Calum raised a brow, wondering what she was talking about. Syd blinked, and then frowned, "No...I'll miss you for a-" He stopped, smirked, and shook his head, "Ah, I'm proud of you." He said, as he figured out what she said. He nudged Calum with his tail. "What?" Calum blinked, still not getting it. Syd smirked and bumped him with his butt, "You know..." "Is this something perverted?" asked Calum, his face scrunching up. Sadie giggled and rolled on her bed. "I want little siblings!" Syd laughed, "Maybe you'll get some." "I better." Sadie wagged her paw at them. "I want LOTS of them! I mean like...20 of them!!" Calum looked horrified as he pictured himself drowning in kits. "20?!" Syd jumped slightly, "20?!" He said, pretty much at the same time as Calum. He rubbed the back of his head, "Maybe more like...two or three...or less." "Awww." Sadie pouted. "But I want more than that." "Then you go and have that many," muttered Calum before he could stop himself. Once he realized what he had said, he slapped a hadn over his mouth. Syd looked over to Calum and raised his eyebrow, thought about it, and shuddered at the thought of grandchildren. "Psh. I'm not going to have 20 kids." Sadie rolled her eyes, then added, "I'm going to have 50!" Syd twitched all over, "Is that even possible? I think you'd be rather sore afterwards..." "Sore? Why?" asked Sadie as she stared at Syd. Calum decided to make a hasty retreat and quietly edges to the bathroom. Syd blinked and cleared his throat, before scoffing as Calum left. "Uhm...childbirth...hurts...a lot." He fidgeted, "Apparently." "Ohhh." Frowning, Sadie stared up at the ceiling. Thinking about what she would do about this wrench thrown into her plans. "...I'll have them one at a time!" Syd rubbed the back of his head and leaned against the door frame, "I hate to say it, but...namrah can't have fifty babies, love." He bit his lip, "Eventually they just stop and can't have anymore." "But...why?" Sadie hopped off the bed and padded over to sit at Syd's feet. Syd looked down at Sadie, "I don't know...it happens in everything, humans, animals..." He sighed, "Things just reach their limit." "Oh..." Sadie sighed sadly. "Guess I won't have 50 babies." She picked at the floor. "Just 10 then." Syd thought for a moment, "Eh, you could easily get 15...20 maybe." He shrugged, "Depending how many you have each time...plus I heard there's a berry that, for each one you share with your...erm...significant other, adds another baby to your litter..." "Huh." Sadie feigned disinterest, but she was already plotting to get her paws on some of those berries. He looked over to her, "But it'll kill you if you aren't pregnant." He shrugged, "Or something like that." "Kill? Wow." Sadie eyes were wide in horror. She wondered if a Namir had ever mistaken themselves for pregnant and ate one of the berries. He shrugged, "But they're hard to get so don't worry." He yawned, "I've never seen any." Upside, hard to find probably means that very little Namrah might have diead from eating. Downside, hard to find means that Sadie herself might have a hard time getting some. "To confusing..." "Anthro? You mean two leggers?" Sadie reached over and poked at one of Syd's legs. Calum yawned as he came back, freshly shaven and smelling of minty aftershave. Syd nodded, "But I was never, you know...like you..." He shrugged, "Just woke up here." He looked over to Calum, "Good news, she isn't have fifty babies." "Yeah, just 10!" said Sadie with a big grin. Not very pleased with the thought of Sadie having children period, Calum just grunted. Syd smirked, "No, I thought we agreed on fifteen." At fifteen, Calum groaned. "Daddy seems excited!" Sadie's grin looked a bit evil as she stared up at Calum. Syd grinned rather meanly, "Yeah, he does, doesn't he." He said, his tail wagging as he cackled. Calum debated if he should follow through with his new urge. "..." He shrugged, Sadie was an adult now after all. He lifted a hand and flipped Syd and Sadie off. Syd frowned, "Hey, not in front of Sadie!" He said, pretending to be offended, as he crossed his arms. "Sadie is a delicate, innocent little angel and we needn't taint her young mind." "Innocent people don't plot to have 50 babies after they know how babies are made," said Caum as he rolled his eyes. Sadie giggled, her smile turning a bit perverted. Syd blinked, jumped, and suddenly looked rather uncomfortable, unwanted images popping up in his mind, he fidgeted, "Sadie..." He mumbled, and then mumbled something else that was very incoherent. "Still want to talk about babies dear?" Calum raised a knowing brow as he crossed his arms and stared at Syd. Syd shook his head like a child who'd gotten in trouble, "No..." "Good." Calum turned and headed down the hall. He waved over his shoulder and slipped into his and Syd's bedroom. With a head ache pounding behind his eyes, he crawled onto the bed. Sadie hummed and rocked. "Sorry papa." Syd blinked as Calum left, and flicked an ear as he wondered why. He sighed and looked back to Sadie and shook his head, "It's fine." Sadie patted Syd on the leg. "Now you're just as scarred as I am." Syd sighed and patted Sadie on the leg, "Ah, well, can't go through life without it." "I wish we could," mumbled Sadie. Unbidden, unwanted images popped up in her head. She shuddered. Syd watched her shudder and smirked, "Bah! Life would be no fun." He pointed to his neck, "See? I got plenty of scars and I'm just fine." Sadie stared at the scar, then frowned. "Where'd you get that papa?" Syd shrugged, "Someone I knew gave it to me." He sighed, "They told me they loved me and..." He frowned, and waved his hand, as if pushing it away, "Never mind, I won't go into it." "Sorry papa," mumbled Sadie. Wondering how someone who claimed to love someone could hurt them in such a way on purpose. Syd looked at her, and sighed, and lifted up his shirt only slightly to show her his other scar, "He got me here too." Sadie siddled closer to Syd and hugged his leg. He blinked, "It's okay, though..." He said, smiling, "It was a long time ago, I'm happy now and that's all that counts." He kneeled down to be at her level and hugged her. "True." Sadie snuggled closer. "But, I can still be sad that someone hurt you." Syd nuzzled at her in somewhat of a motherly way, "Don't be, love." He said, "We can't dwell in the past." Sadie relaxed under the nuzzling, then leaned into it. "I love you papa." Syd smiled gently, and sighed, "I love you too, Sadie." More to be a dork then anything, Sadie tilted her head back and made kissy faces. Syd blinked, raising an eyebrow. "What?" Sadie pouted. "I'm to old to get kisses from my papa now?" Syd sighed and leaned in and gave her a quick kiss. "You're so spoiled..." He said in a playful manner, smirking. Sadie flashed a cheeky grin. "But I'm worth it papa." Syd sighed, "Of course, love, of course." Looking up and down the hall, Sadie's ears flicked. "Where'd daddy go?" Syd shrugged, "Maybe he went to bed..." He frowned, "I wonder if he's sick..." "Sick?" Sadie also frowned. "Wouldn't we have heard him puking?" He shook his head, "There's other kinds of sick." "Oh..." Sadie looked in the direction of her parents room. "Should we go check on him?" Syd also looked, "Er, let me go in first...don't want to crowd him, you know...?" Seeing the logic in that, Sadie nodded. "Alight." Syd sighed and left the room and walked into his and Calum's. Calum's glasses rested on the nightstand and he was stretches out on his stomach. His eyes closed as he drifted between sleep and wakefulness. Syd stood there, his tail swishing back and fourth, wondering what he should do. He slinked over to the bed and laid right next to him, staring at the ceiling, unsure of what he should do next. He sighed, and closed his eyes. Not bothering to open his eyes, since he wouldn't be able to see anything anyways, he shifted towards Syd. "Do you need something dear?" Syd shook his head, "No." He said, letting out a slight yawn. Calum hummed, then blindly sought out Syd's shoulder. His head gently bumping against Syd's side and then his cheek. Syd watched Calum, wondering what he was doing. He bit his lip, sort of thinking it was cute. Once Calum found Syd's shoulder, he settled his head on it and got comfortable. He mumbled incoherently under his breath and then sighed. Syd looked at Calum, "Hm?" "Nothing," mumbled Calum. Syd sighed and nuzzled at Calum. Calum began to drift again, his head ache dulling down to a low pain. Sadie peeked her head into the room, to see what was going on. Syd leaned over and kissed Calum's forehead, before flicking an ear and looking over to Sadie. Calum smiled a little, but didn't open his eyes. Sadie cautiously padded into the room. Peeking her head up over the side of the bed. Syd blinked, "He's fine, love." He said, smiling slightly at Sadie. "You talking to me?" mumbled Calum. "No! He's talking to me daddy!" Sadie rolled her eyes as she hopped up on the bed. Syd chuckled slightly and scootched slightly to make room for Sadie on the bed. Calum let out a displeased "Mmph" as Syd moved. The movement jostling his head. Sadie settled on the other side of Syd, and laid her head on his chest. Syd blinked, and yawned, not sure what to say or what to do, so he just laid there, staring at the ceiling. After a few moments of silence, Sadie whispered, "It's so quiet." Syd nodded, "Yeah..." He bit his lip, fidgeting slightly. "You don't have to be quiet on my part," mumbled a drowsy Calum. Sadie reached over and poked Calum's cheek. Syd frowned, "Yeah...but, well..." He sighed, more dramatically than the moment called for. "We don't want to disturb you daddy," said Sadie as she patted Syd on the cheek. Syd nodded, "Yeah, it's common courtesy." Calum just grunted and poked Syd's side. Syd twitched, "What?" He muttered, poking him back. "I"m fine," Calum muttered. "Talk." Syd frowned, "What should we talk about, then?" "I don't know," said Calum with a yawn. Sadie opened her mouth to talk, only to get cut off by Calum. "Just not babies!" Syd chuckled, "Alright, fine, no babies." He smirked over to Sadie, "So, you like anyone?" Sadie shook her head. "No, no ones romantic enough." Syd frowned, "Oh..." He thought for a moment, "What a shame..." He shrugged, "Eh, well what do you like? Boys? Girls?" Fidgeting, Sadie blushed and mumbled, "I think I like girls." Syd blinked, staring at her for a minute, a bit surprised, before he shrugged, "Eh, don't know any romantic girls, unfortunately." "I don't either," Sadie sighs. "Where's my knight in a chiney breast plate?" Syd pat Sadie, "Don't worry, love." He said, yawning, "They'll come soon enough.." "But what if it's not for me?" asked Sadie with a pout. "Then she's an idiot," muttered Calum. Syd nodded, "Yup..." He smirked, "Plus if they turn you down, get someone prettier to make them jealous. And then dump the pretty person to find someone nicer, because most likely the pretty one will be brainless." "You and daddy aren't brainless." Sadie tilted her head as she thought back to all the Namrah she had seen. Lots of pretty boys, in her opinion. But she had yet to meet any girls that she considered pretty. Syd blinked, "Well...I dated a lot of pretty brainless people before I met your father..." Sadie looked at Calum expectantly. "Just you dad for me," mumbled Calum as he yawned. "He's my first and only." "Ohhh." She fell silent for some time. "How much is a lot papa?" Syd shrugged, "Can't remember." He mumbled, tapping his chin, "A lot." "Like 500?" asked Sadie. For some reason hooked on big numbers. Syd shrugged, "Not that much." He sighed, "But I really am no better than a common whore..." Calum frowned. "You're not a whore." Syd blinked, "Well, I'd tell you, but..." He fidgeted, glancing at Sadie and biting his lip, "Well...you know." "What?" Sadie blinked, not understanding what they're talking about since she doesn't know what a whore is. Syd shook his head, "It's...nothing." He sighed, "It's inappropriate." Calum continues to frown as he stares at Syd. After a moment, he shakes his head and kisses Syd's cheek. Sadie just sat there, looking confused. Syd blinked as his cheek was kissed, and he sighed, nuzzling at Calum before looking over at Sadie, "Anyways..." He bit his lip, "Let's change the subject...where are you going to live, Sadie?" Content, Calum returned to resting his head on Syd's shoulder. "At Ishie's." Sadie thought of the nuthouse and chewed on her bottom lip. "They have lots of spare rooms." Syd smiled, "Well...I guess anywhere is fine as long as you're happy..." "I'm almost always happy papa." Sadie grinned for emphasis. Syd grinned, "Of course..." He said, "Lucky." "Maybe," said Sadie, her grin growing. Able to feel his daughter's grin from behind his closed eyes, Calum muttered, "Stop that, it's creepy." She bursted into giggles. Syd chuckled a bit apathetically. "That was creepy too," muttered Calum. Sadie tugged on Syd's shirt and whispered, "I think someone's cranky." Syd nodded, "Me too..." Calum didn't open his eyes. "Syd?" Syd looked over to him, "Yes, love?" "Don't make me bite you." Calum nipped at the side of Syd's neck. "Hey! Kid in the room here!" Sadie covered her eyes. Syd chuckled pervertedly, "Oh, kinky..." He smirked and nudged Sadie, "You're not a kid." "Close enough." Sadie pouted, but refused to remove her paws from her eyes. Out of fear that she'd see something scarring. Syd grinned, deciding to menace her, "Oh~ Calum! Not in front of our daughter!" He flopped a bit, "Keep your pants on!" After letting out a loud "Eep," Sadie backpedaled to escape. Only to fall off the bed and hit the floor with a thump. Syd jumped slightly, looking over the bed, "Oh! Are you alright?!" Sadie nodded on the floor, her eyes still covered. "I'm fine." Calum rolled over and burrowed into the bed. Having successfully fallen asleep. Syd frowned, "Are you sure?" He held a hand out to her. Not seeing the hand, Sadie didn't reach out to take it. "As long as neither of you are naked, I'm sure." Syd's hand remained out, "We're not naked..." Hesitantly, Sadie peeked out from behind her paws. She sighed in relief when she saw that Syd was telling the truth, and took his hand. Instead of pulling her up, Syd hung half way off the bed, checking her paw over like an over protective mother. "What are you doing papa?" Sadie tilted her head as she watched Syd. "Making sure you're alright." He said, setting her paw down and taking her other paw, inspecting it. "I'm fine papa." Sadie smiled, touched that her fatheHe frowned, "When I was eleven I fell off my bed and broke my nose." "Really?" Sadie went cross eyed and wiggled her nose. "Mine isn't broken."r would worry so much about her. "Thanks though." Syd nodded, "Yeah..." He frowned, putting a hand on it, "It's too big, I think that's why I fell on it...and that's why it's crooked." "It's crooked?" Sadie tilted her head. "I hadn't noticed." Syd blinked, "You didn't?" He frowned, "It's worse than my teeth..." Sadie shrugged. "I thought it was normal for two leggers, so I guess I didn't pay much attention to it." Syd grinned his usual crooked grin, "Good!" He frowned, "It's made me self conscious." "Your nose has?" Sadie climbed back up on the bed. He nodded, "It's not bad, is it?" He mumbled, biting his lip. "I don't think so." Sadie leaned close to get a good look at his nose. Syd blinked, he couldn't help but feel anxious when it was being focused on. "Looks fine to me," said Sadie with a shrug. Syd sighed, "Good..." He smiled, getting a little hungry, "You want something to eat?" "Sure." Sadie looked over at Calum. "Should we wake up daddy?" He shook his head, "No, we ought to let him rest." "Alright then." Sadie scootched over and kissed Calum on the cheek. Shifting, Calum mumbled in his sleep before settling again. Syd smiled, also kissing him on the cheek, before getting up. Calum mumbled again, and nuzzled the bed. Sadie hopped off the bed and tip toed out of the room. Syd quietly made his way into the kitchen, "So, what should I make?" "Chicken!" said an excited Sadie as she pranced into the kitchen. Syd grinned, "Alright, what kind?" "Barbecue!" Sadie hopped up onto a chair and bounced. Syd bit his lip, "Uhm...okay..." He mumbled, getting out some chicken. "To much?" asked Sadie as she calmed somewhat. He shook his head, "I haven't made it for a while." He said, "So I can't guarantee how well off it'll be..." He smiled, "But I'll try!" "I'm sure it'll be good papa," said Sadie with confidence. Syd smiled, gathering up the ingredients and heating up the inside grill. "Need help?" Sadie tapped her paw on the table. Syd pointed over to the chicken, "Help me chop it up?" He asked, as he took a piece and a knife, handed it to her, and then grabbed himself a piece and a knife. Sadie carefully took the knife, like she was afraid it would bite her. "Alright." He smiled, chopping it into smaller strips. Carefully, Sadie began to chop her chicken into the uneven strips. Some really skinny, and some really fat. Syd smiled as he looked at her pieces, and as he pulled out bones, being rather finicky about it. He looked almost sad, though, he hated making chicken. "What's wrong papa?" asked Sadie when she noticed how sad Syd looked. While removing bones, some of the chicken falling apart as she does so. Syd glanced at her while taking some seasonings, "Nothing." He mumbled, looking like he'd committed some terrible sin as he sprinkled some over the meat, he figured he couldn't stop, the chicken was already dead, after all. But then he was sad again, thinking about how miserable the chicken must've been, locked up on some farm, no one to relate to, other than the chickens around it. Not to mention it's miserable life was ended against its will. He sighed, putting the chicken in a bowl and watching Sadie with her's. Deciding not to push, Sadie finished up with preparing her chicken, then pushed it over to Syd. Syd took her chicken and sprinkled the seasonings over it, and then plopped it in the bowl with the rest. Though he thought about it, he decided not to mention that he was completely improvising, and would probably end up making something completely inedible. He took some barbecue sauce and poured some over the chicken, and then took the fork and started placing them on the grill.

Using for breeding? Syd just laid there, clinging to the covers of the bed, and staring at the ceiling, feeling like he was rotting from the inside. Calum paced through the house like a caged animal, his hands in his pockets. He had no idea what to do to help Syd. And not only that, the full moon was in three days. Syd's ears twitched, the smallest sounds beginning to irritate him. Especially a small bird that was chirping away outside. He grumbled, throwing the blankets down, and standing up, his whole body shaking. His stomach growled, and he frowned, and carefully made his way downstairs. Calum paused with his pacing when he saw Syd descending the stairs. He watched Syd closely. Syd silently stumbled into the kitchen, not even looking at Calum. It was like he was on auto pilot, too weak to move yet still, some how, moving. Calum watched Syd, saying nothing as Syd walked by him. He half expected the other male to tip over at any given moment. Syd mumbled to himself, looking over the cupboards and just pulling out a can of soup and a pot. He trembled, and set them on the counter, and slid down, sitting on the floor and whimpering. Calum's heart felt like it was going to break from seeing his love in so much pain. He wanted to gather Syd up and take all his pain away. But rather then do that, he wordlessly stepped up and opened the can of soup. He dumped it into the pot, and put the pot on the stove to heat up. Syd watched Calum, scooting slightly to get out of his way. Wordlessly, Calum prepared the soup. Then poured it into a bowl and put it on the table. Mechanically, Calum began to wash the dishes. Not really paying attention to what he's doing though. He watched Syd from the corner of his eyes. Syd took his spoon and scooped up some soup, his hand's shaking making the spoon rattle against the bowl. He cautiously put the spoon up to his lips and slurped up the broth. Calum took a seat next to Syd, then reached out to take the spoon from him. Syd frowned as Calum took the spoon, and he stared at him, looking ashamed. Calum scootched his chair closer to Syd, then wrapped an arm around Syd's shoulders. He dipped the spoon into the soup and held it up to Syd's lips. Syd looked at the spoon for several moments, before finally opening his mouth, and closing it around the spoon and swallowing. Rubbing Syd's shoulder, Calum pulled the spoon from Syd's mouth and dipped it in the soup again. Calum remained silent as he fad Syd. Not quite sure what to say. Syd's lip twitched, and he shook his head, his stomach beginning to hurt. "No more..." He mumbled, almost inaudibly. Calum set the spoon in the bowl. "Alright." Syd sat there, frowning, "I'm sorry..." He whispered. "Don't be," said Calum as he pushed away from the table and took it to the sink. "It's alright." Syd shook his head, "It's pathetic..." He mumbled, picking at the table cloth. "I'm like a baby..." "You'll be fine when you're system stabilizes again." Calum washed off the soup bowl, his tail flicking uncontrollably. Syd ran a hand through his hair, his hand shaking and his ears flicking out of distress, "I oughtn't make you do everything for me, though..." "It's fine." Drying off his hands, Calum turned to face Syd. Syd whimpered, looking away from Calum with a hand on his stomach. "Are you going to be sick?" asked Calum with concern. He stepped toward Syd and put a hand on his shoulder. Syd stared ahead, not answering for a few moments, before getting out of his seat, and walking to the bathroom. His movements were feeble, yet hurried. Not sure what else to do, Calum waited a beat and followed after Syd. After the minute or so Syd spent puking, he flushed the toilet, and, still on his knees, laid back onto the bathroom floor and curled up, whimpering. "Syd?" Calum knocked on the bathroom door, his ears pinning back in worry. Syd rolled, his back to the door, "Leave me alone..." He mumbled, clinging to his tail. "No." Calum leaned against the door and waited. Syd frowned, "Fine..." He sighed, not really enjoying being sick and alone, so he sniffled and muttered a small, "Come in..." Calum slowly opened the door and peeked into the bathroom. Seeing Syd on the floor, he stepped into the bathroom and sat down by Syd on the floor. Syd looked up at Calum, and scooted closer to him. He squeaked slightly, "I think I'm gonna die..." He mumbled, still clinging to his own tail. "You're not going to die Syd." Calum reached down and ran his hand through Syd's hair. Syd twitched as he was touched, and he clung tighter to his tail, "But what if I do...it'll be my fault...what about you...what would happen?" He was starting to get distressed, and soon little tears brimmed at the corner of his eyes. "You're not going to die Syd," repeated Calum, this time with finality. Syd whimpered, starting to sob, "I don't wanna..." He mumbled, curling into himself like a scared child, "I don't wanna leave you alone..." "You're not going to Syd." Calum massaged the base of Syd's neck in an attempt to comfort. Syd sat up, shaking, just enough to cling to Calum, and he nuzzled at him, relaxing more as his neck was massaged, "I love you, Calum..." "I love you too Syd." Calum nuzzled at Syd 's in a tender manner while wrapping an arm around him. Syd sniffled, and pulled away, "I'm going to go lay down..." He mumbled, but it was more to himself than Calum, and he stood, almost falling over. Calum quickly scrambled to his feet to support Syd. "I'll come with you." Syd looked at Calum, "You don't...have too..." He frowned, "You should do something funner..." He mumbled, not sure what he was talking about anymore. "No, I could use some rest. Full moon's coming up, and you know how I get." Calum was lying through his teeth really, he felt fine. Outside of being a little restless. Syd smiled slightly, "Thank you, love..." He mumbled, feeling a little sad about the full moon, though. He didn't want of be alone. He stumbled to the bedroom and flopped on the bed. "Don't thank me." Calum follow Syd, ready to catch him if he should. "You'd do the same for me." He crawled onto the bed and stretched out beside Syd. Syd curled up to Calum, shivering, "It's just nice to know..." He said, "That someone will help you...when you need it..." "I agree." Calum wrapped his arms around Syd. Syd nuzzled at Calum, and despite the fact that his whole body was shaking, he seemed to be relaxed for a brief moment. Calum rubbed Syd's back and sighed. "Should I grab another blanket?" Syd bit his lip, and frowned, nodding slowly. Calum kissed Syd's forehead before reluctantly pulling away to get another blanket. Syd shivered, curling up underneath the blankets that were already there, whimpering quietly. Calum came back with another blanket and spread it out over Syd. Syd smiled a bit, "Thank you..." "You're welcome." Calum climbed under the covers to join Syd. Syd wrapped his arms around Calum, nuzzling him. Calum happily returned the nuzzling, pulling Syd as close as he could get him. "I love you." Syd trembled slightly as he was pulled closer, "I love you too, Calum..." He said, his tail weakly flopping over Calum's legs. "Do you need anything?"Calum shifted slightly to get comfortable. Syd shook his head, "No...I'm fine for now..." He said, still shivering. "Let me know if you need anything then." Calum rubbed Syd's side to share his warmth. Syd nodded, "Alright..." He nuzzled at Calum, trying to get closer to his warmth. To guide Syd closer, Calum pulled Syd until Syd was pretty much on top of him. Syd purred slightly, nuzzling at Calum as he started to warm up. For a moment, he thought, that maybe it was all gone, but, then he remembered that it would last much longer. But as long as he felt alright now, he would be happy. "Better?" asked Calum as he stroked Syd's back. He nodded, "Yes..." He said, resting his head on Calum's chest and closing his eyes. Oddly, Calum felt comfortable with a full grown man half sprawled on top of him. Might have something to do with Syd being so light though. He kissed the top of Syd's head, then nuzzled. Syd smiled as he was kissed, and he returned the nuzzle. His arm slinked up to stroke Calum's cheek, and then to play with his hair, "I love you..." He mumbled. "I love you too," murmured Calum. His lips formed a small smile. Syd sighed, dreading the full moon. He didn't want to be alone and in this state, but, he would manage...or at least try to. "During the full moon..." Calum paused as he frowned. Trying to think of what they could do. "...could your cousin come here?" Syd looked up at Calum, looking embarassed, "He could..." He frowned, "But...I don't..." He ran a hand through his hair, "I don't want to tell him..." "Alright." Calum frowned as he tried to think up something else. Syd nuzzled at Calum, "I mean...he'd do it..." He frowned, "If you really want him to do it..." He sighed, "I just..." He paused for a moment, fidgeting, "It'd be embarrassing..." "I could ask a friend of mine if you want." Calum returned the nuzzling and kissed Syd. Syd blinked, returning the kiss, "What...what friend?" Calum mulled it over. "Either Ryo or Reyn..." He blinked, thinking for a moment, before shaking his head, "I don't know..." "The embarrassment would stil be there." Calum sighed, and frowned. "But it would be with someone you don't really know, and with someone you really won't see again." Syd frowned, "But what if they tell someone..." He mumbled, "I know Kevin...and I know Mihir..." He bit his lip, "I don't want them to know..." "They won't tell." Calum thought of his two friends and sighed. "Ryo's a monk, so he's got that whole confidentiality thing down pat. Reyn's...well he's a p***k. He won't tell either though." Syd bit his lip, still not sure, "I don't know..." He thought about it, thinking he'd be more comfortable with Harold. But then again, his and Harold's relationship was a special one. Though Harold usually took care of the comforting between them, he was very uncomfortable while being so vulnerable. Plus, Harold had seemed different since the wedding. He ran a hand through his hair. "Ultimately, it's up to you." Calum closed his eyes and sighed. "Just let me know before the 9th. I don't want to leave you here alone." Syd sighed, "I don't need a babysitter..." He mumbled, a bit irritatedly. "I never said you do. I simply that I don't want here to leave you here alone." In the back of his mind, Calum wondered if he was going to get hit. Calum said nothing and didn't open his eyes. Instead he simply grunted. Syd scoffed at the grunt, and he rolled over, turning his back to Calum. Soon enough, though, he grew even more irritated, and he snatched up his pillow and walked out of the room. Calum bit down the urge to go after Syd and remained in bed. He rolled onto his side and tried to sleep. Syd sighed, rubbing his face as he clumsily walked down the stairs, stumbling a few times, and falling over once he got to the bottom of the stairs. He grunted, and threw his pillow down angrily, before flopping down and just laying in the middle of the floor. He frowned, starting to feel a bit lonely, and he grabbed his pillow, and clung to it. Since he wasn't even tired to begin with, Calum simply laid there and stared at the wall. An ache slowly began to build in his gut as he laid there. Syd whimpered, and he started to shiver uncontrollably. He cling tighter to the pillow and buried his face in it, but soon enough, he realized that his search for comfort within the plushness of it and he just stared at the floor, feeling miserable. Calum sighed, and slid off the bed. This was getting him no where. He snatched up one of the blankets off the bed and headed down the stairs. Syd flicked an ear as he heard Calum come down the stairs, and he whimpered, hiding his face in the pillow again. Surprise was the first thing Calum felt when he saw Syd on the floor. He frowned, then tossed the blanket over Syd. "Bed is yours if you want it." Syd flinched as the blanket fell on top of him and he whimpered as he heard Calum's voice. He didn't say anything, he just seemed to burrow into the blanket, curling his tail around himself the best he could. "The bed is better then the floor Syd." Calum walked past him and headed into the kitchen. Syd shook his head, he felt that if he moved anymore, he would fall apart, or disintegrate. Calum sighed when he looked back to see Syd still on the floor. He dug an apple out of the fridge before going out and sitting on the couch. Syd shivered underneath the blanket, "I'm sorry..." He mumbled into the pillow. "For what?" Calum bit into the apple, only to frown. Really, he was craving meat. Not fruit. Syd sat up, shaking and looking at Calum, "For being mean..." "It's fine." Calum picked at his apple, peeling off the skin. Syd frowned, "You're sure...?" Calum nodded. "I was expecting it." He shrugs. Syd scooted over to the couch, tugging the blanket and the pillow with him, and he leaned against it, biting his lip. "Wull...I'm still sorry..." Setting his apple on the coffee table, Calum slid off the couch and settled next to Syd. "Well...I'm sorry too." Syd looked at Calum, an eyebrow raised, "Why...?" "For being a bit of an a** myself." Calum snaked an arm out to wrap around Syd.

Calum was hiding away in the library, sneaking in some quiet time to read. And trying to ignore the pounding behind his left eye.
Syd, who had been pretending to sleep, was sitting on the couch, staring at the wall. He looked angry and rather troubled. His fingers tapped on his knee nervously, and he twitched, more than usual. Yup, he looked like what he was, a crack head.
Since his head ache was going no where, Calum marked his page and put the book back on the shelve. He headed to he kitchen to make, and paused on the way to stare at Syd. "Want some tea?"
Syd twitched and looked over to Calum, glaring slightly. His hand shook and he nodded.
Calum tensed inwardly at the glare, but simply nodded. He headed to the kitchen and dug around for the tea.
Syd was fidgeting and twitching all over, his fingers tapping away a random beat. He looked around, suspicious of his surroundings. Were they real? Was this his home?
Several moments later, Calum emerged from the kitchen with two mugs of tea. He held one out to Syd.
Syd took the mug. His hands, though still shaky, weren't shaky to the point where he'd spill anything he was holding. Now, they just quivered slightly and if he concentrated, he could stop them to the point of a light tremble. He sipped on his tea, silently, thinking to himself.
Calum watched Syd with veiled concern, not yet drinking from his own cup. He wondered how long this withdrawal would last. And if things would be back to normal once it had passed.
Syd looked over to Calum, his ears dropping. "What...?" He asked, his voice very soft and sort of strained sounding.
Calum shook his head, and finally sipped from his tea. He scooted closer to Syd.
Syd blinked, tapping his knee again. He took another sip from his tea and set it down, stood up, and staggered into the kitchen.
With drooping ears, Calum watched Syd go. He pulled his knees up to his chest and sipped at the tea. The logical part of his mind said that Syd was probably just going to retrieve something from the kitchen. But the other part of his mind said that in Syd's current state, he just didn't want to be around him.
A minute or so later, Syd came back from the kitchen with a little rectangular box with hearts on it. He stood infront of Calum and silently held it out for him.
Calum's ears slowly perked as he eyed the box. Still not quite used to getting gifts of any form, he set his tea down and hesitantly took the box. He looked it over before carefully beginning to open it.
Inside the box was a very...phallic shaped cookie with pink frosting and sort of sloppy little hearts on it. Syd grinned. Despite his current state, his sense of humor remained intact.
Calum blushed when he saw the cookie. His shoulders shook as he let out a deep chuckle.
Syd smiled, setting his tea down and hugging Calum, happily kissing his cheek.
Calum's tail thumped against the couch as he nuzzled at Syd's cheek. He playfully nipped at Syd's ear, then mumbled into it, "I should have gone with my first gift idea for you."
Syd smirked as his ear was nipped at, "Oh...?" He asked, in his feeble voice, "And what was that...?"
Calum leaned up and whispered something into Syd's ear.
Syd blinked, and smirked, "You shoulda got it anyways.
"No, I decided to go the sentimental route instead." Calum pulled away from Syd and got up off the couch. He yawned as he stretched.
Syd looked up at Calum curiously, his tail swishing beside him.
Calum waves at Syd before shuffling into the library.
Syd bit his lip before staggering up and following him.
Calum tipped his chair onto it's side, revealing a mediom sized box underneath it. He bit his bottom lip, not quite sure what Syd would think of his gift. He gestured to it. "Go ahead."
Syd blinked, going on his knees like a kid during Christmas and pulling the box out. He looked it over and carefully opened it.
Inside the box was a black violin wrapped in velvet. Calum set his chair back up right, figuring that he would have to find a new hiding place for Syd's gifts.
Syd looked at the violin in awe, and he between it and Calum, and he grinned, pulling it out and looking it over, "It's fantastic...!"
"You're welcome," murmured Calum as he leaned against his chair, smiling. The look on Syd's face greatly out weighed the large chunk now missing from his bank account. And made it worth it.
Syd grinned, plucking at the strings happily. He looked up at Calum again, standing and throwing his arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug.
Calum blinked in surprise, then smiled at happily returned the hug. Pulling Syd as close as he could get him.
Syd's tail wagged behind him, and he nuzzled at Calum happily. "Thank you.."
"You're welcome," Calum murmured again. His tail wrapped around Syd's leg as he kissed Syd's cheek.

-logging because Ishie can't-
Syd smiled, purring slightly. His ears dropped, "Oh...but you shouldn't have..."
"Why shouldn't I have?" Calum's own ears drooped as he watched Syd.
Syd smiled, "I really like it..." He said, "But it was probably expensive...you shouldn't have spent so much money on me..."
"But I wanted to spend money on you." Calum nuzzled at Syd's cheek. "Besides, the violin is what set in motion the event that would lead to us meeting."
Syd looked away, "But I don't deserve it..." He mumbled, sighting and shivering.
"That's for me to decide, not you." At the shivering, Calum rubbed Syd's arms. He began to try and guide Syd to his chair.
Syd sighed, allowing himself to be guided. He sat in the chair, still holding the violin.
"Would you like me to get get your tea?" Calum ran his fingers through Syd's hair. Then stroked his cheek.
Syd nodded, plucking at the strings of the violin.
Calum headed back out to the living room to retrieve Syd's tea. When he picked it up, he glanced at the cookie and smiled. Then headed back to the library.
Syd plucked out a simple little tune, his hands shaking again. He sighed, feeling weak. He hadn't eaten for a few days, and though he was too sick to care, it was starting to catch up with him.
"Do you need anything else?" Calum held the tea out to Syd.
He shook his head and set the violin down, and then took the tea and sipped on it, his hands quivering and making the tea wiggle inside.
Syd frowned and his ears dropped, "I'm sorry..."
"Don't be." Calum continued to rub Syd's shoulders. "Just relax."
Syd shook his head, "I don't deserve any of this..."
"You deserve whatever I am willing to give you." Calum squeezed Syd's shoulders.
Syd frowned, not feeling good enough to protest. Instead, he just whimpered, closing his eyes and shivering.
"Blanket?" Calum didn't wait for an answer though. Instead he headed out.
Syd blinked as Calum left, and he sipped on his tea, twitching slightly.
Calum came back carrying a blanket. He draped it over Syd. "Better?"
Instead of answering, Syd remained silent, sulking, his shivers going slowly going away.
Calum sighed, his ears dropping. He had hoped things would last longer, that Syd's mood would stay up.
Syd twitched, "I'm a terrible husband..." He muttered, "I should've done something better for Valentines day and made you happy..."
Calum frowned. He said nothing as he moved around to the side of the chair. He sat on the arm rest, then nuzzled at Syd.
Syd frowned, looking sad as he was nuzzled. He twitched, and threw a weak arm around Calum.
Calum gathered Syd close and kissed Syd's cheek. .
Syd whimpered, clinging to Calum, "I'm sorry, love...it's all my fault..."
Calm said nothing and rocked Syd. He crooned into Syd's ear.
Syd sniffled, closing his eyes. His bottom lip quivered. "I love you Calum..."
"I love you too," murmured Calum as he kissed Syd's forehead.
Syd nuzzled at Calum sadly. "I'll make this all up to you, love..." He whispered, "When I'm better..."
"I know." Calum pulled back and held his hand out to Syd. "Come on, lets go to bed."
Syd took his hand, looking ashamed.
Calum squeezed Syd's hand before beginning to lead him to the stairs.
Syd stood up and followed him, staggering and tripping occasionally.
"I'm sorry," murmured Calum, before turning to pick Syd up, and carried him up the stairs.
Calum frowned, worried about Syd's weight loss. He shook his head. "Just am."
Syd looked at the frown, and closed his eyes, resting his head on Calum's chest.
Calum headed into their room and sat on the bed. "You need to eat more..."
Syd frowned and looked away, "I can't..." He mumbled, "Every time I do I get sick..."
Calum slipped his hand under Syd's shirt and rubbed his stomach. "I'm sorry"
Syd shivered as his stomach was touched, though there wasn't much of a stomach. Also, if one were to look, or feel over his whole torso, his ribs were visible, and his pelvis poked out.
Calum sighed sadly as he felt Syd's stomach. It made him want to hook the other male up to a feeding tube.
The sad sigh hit Syd in the stomach like a kick, and he frowned, "Don't worry, love." He said, smiling weakly, "I'll be fine."
"As you're husband, I believe it's my job to worry about you." Calum leaned forward so that his head rested agaisnt Syd's shoulder. "When you're all better, I'm going to feed you until you feel like you're going to explode."
Syd chuckled slightly, his whole demeanor seeming to change, "You know," he muttered, his feeble voice growing stronger, "I could make it all go away, right now."
Calum's eyes narrowed and his gaze turned wary and cold as he carefully locked himself away. His lips thinned into a firm line as he said, "No."
Syd frowned, "Oh, come now, love." He said, "Don't make that face." He smirked, "You want me better, right? Well I can be better..."
Syd ears dropped, and he sat up, glaring over at Calum. "Please, Calum..." He mumbled, his voice growing desperate and shaky, "Please...! Just do it!"
"That stuff is gone Syd." Calum crossed his arms, radiating confidence as he coolly stared at Syd. "I will not tell you where it is, nor will I fetch it for you. And I can assure you that you won't find it."
Syd slumped, looking away from Calum as he played with the hem of his coat. His ears flicked and he swung his legs over the bed, grabbing his coat. "Fine." He said, "I'll just get some more." He then started to walk out of the room.
For a brief moment, Calum's ears dropped. But in a flash they were pinned back in a sign of anger as he easily slid over to block the doorway.
Syd looked angrily into Calum's, "What're you doing?" He asked, pushing him slightly.
Calum shrugged off the push like one who was used to them. He braced himself and simply said, "I'm not going to let you go."
Syd stared, crossing his arms and looking like he was contemplating something, until, suddenly, he unwrapped them and took a swing at Calum.
Calum stood his ground, not willing to attempt to dodge and give Syd an opening to slip by. He grunted when Syd's fist made impact.
More hurt by the fact that Syd had actually hit him than by the punch itself, Calum just stared down at Syd with cold eyes. He knew it was to expected, that it Syd wouldn't really hit him under normal circumstances. But, it still hurt.
Syd bit his lip, strange thoughts running through his head. He wasn't sure what he'd do, but he felt that getting out of this room was a matter of life and death. He could always jump out the window, but, then, he would get hurt, and how would he be able to run off to get more? He looked Calum over, and sighed, an ear flicking.
"Want to take another swing Syd?" Calum lifted a hand and tapped his right cheek. "Go right ahead." He let his hand drop. "You can hit me all you want, I still won't let you by."
Syd twitched, and he stood, deciding to take a more gentler approach. He leaned in a kissed Calum, his hands sliding up and resting on his cheeks.
Calum blinked in surprise, his ears perking. Was Syd back to normal?
Syd pulled away and kissed along Calums jawline and down to his neck, his hands running down along Calum's side. He figured, if he could distract him enough, he could get him to move.
Syd smirked as he kissed, leaning on Calum as his hands ran down and played at the hem of Calum's shirt.
Calum's hands settled on Syd's hips as he nipped at Syd's ear. He growled happily as his tail slid out to wrap around Syd's leg.
Syd's tail swished mischievously, and his hands trailed under his shirt as he sucked at Calum's neck. He opened one eye, looking things over. If he could get Calum to shift just a bit, he could create enough space for him to bolt and hopefully make it outside, though, the tail wrapped around his legs was a problem. Still, he leaned on him more, trying to get him to move.
Calum moaned, his own eyes sliding closed as he shifted to lean against the door jam. His hold on Syd's hips tightening as he tries to pull Syd closer.
Syd lingered for a few moments more, grinning at the space Calum had left for him. He chuckled at the moan, and pulled away, kissing him on the lips once more and then running out of the door.
Calum blinked, not grasping what just happened. He stared at the area where Syd had just been standing, then looked off down the hall. Fury bubbled up as he clenched his hands into fists. He shouted, "Happy ******** Valentines Syd!!" Then walked into their room and slammed the door closed.
Syd cackled, rather proud of himself as he walked down the stairs, casually. He walked through the house, shoved his hands in his pockets and walked through the front door. Though, as he stood on the porch, his ears dropped, realizing what he'd just done.
Calum paced the room, growling and muttering to himself. But his pace began to slow, and his growl grew less frequent as his rage began to slip into sorrow. Figures that on the year he actually has someone to share this blasted holiday with, something has to wrong.
Syd paced on the porch, not sure if he should go or go back to apologize. Instead, he just sat on the porch, and lit up a cigarette, his hand shaking as he smoked.
Calum sat on the bed and looked around the empty room. He whimpered in an animal like way as he began to feel very alone. Part of him wondered if he should go hunt down Ryo, drag his friend off to celebrate Valentines the way they used to. By having a small fire and getting drunk. The other part of himself quickly squashed that idea. Ryo would be busy with his own Valentines plans.
Syd snuffed out his cigarette and slowly walked back into the house, looking very ashamed. His ears hung low as he walked up the stairs, his hands in his pocket, and he stood in front of the bedroom door, looking down.
Calum's mind be to wander into darker territories. Maybe Syd couldn't like him without having drugs? Or maybe drugs were simply more important? And was he trully so stupid and bling that he fell for a play often used in movies? Unable to help himself, he let out a low and mournful howl.
Syd jumped slightly at the howl, and he leaned on the door, biting his lip. He closed his eyes, beginning to feel weak again. He wondered if he should say something, but in the end, he stayed silent, he didn't want to make Calum angrier than he already was.
Deciding that he'd think better, and feel better, in a more comfortable area, Calum stood and headed towards the door. Wishing to go to the library. He grasped the knob, and slowly turned it before opening the door.
Syd yelped slightly as the door opened, and he stumbled, almost falling over. He quickly regained his composure, and he looked at Calum for a few seconds, before remorsefully looking down.
Calum raised a brow and stared at Syd. "Back so soon?"
Syd looked back up at him, "I'm sorry..." He muttered, wavering a bit where he stood.
Calum grunted, saying nothing as he stared at Syd. Finally he reached out to fist a hand in Syd's shirt and drag him into the room.
Syd jumped as he was drug into the room, resisting slightly. He felt too weak to struggle much, though, and so he allowed Calum to do whatever it was that he was going to do.
Once Syd was into the room, Calum slammed the door closed, then shoved Syd against it. His eyes were dangerous shade of dark blue as he stared at Syd.
Syd yelped as his back hit the door, and his expression turned into a fearful one. He squirmed, his hands clamoring against Calum, trying to push him away.
Calum's expression remain nuetral as his hands shot to try and grab Syd's wrists as he let out a low growl.
Syd whimpered as his wrists were grabbed, and he then went and tried to pull away, but he soon grew weaker, and he slumped against the door, and stood there, looking away.
Calum stepped closer to Syd, pressing his body against the other male's to pin him in place. He pinned Syd's wrists against the door and growled again. "You can hit me all you want.."
Syd cowered down, his ears pinning back against his head, "I'm sorry, Calum..." He mumbled, whimpering.
Calum ignored Syd as he continued," ...the next time you get the idea to try something like that, just kick me in the balls. It'll hurt less." He released Syd's wrists to cup Syd's chin and jerk him into a rough kiss.
Syd shuddered as he was kissed, fuzzy memories bubbled up and his stomach twinged in pain. He pulled away from the kiss, "Stop it, Calum..." He mumbled, his voice trembling.
A shiver ran up his spine and Syd shook his head, "No." He muttered, "No..." He turned and exited his room, walking down to the living room and sitting on the couch, nervously running a hand through his hair.
Calum rubbed a hand over his stomach as he began to feel sick. That thing inside him had never done anything like this before. Would it really go so far to claim submission from a mate? He waited a beat, before trudging downstairs.
Syd was curled up on the couch into a little ball, his tail wrapped around his legs. His whole body shook, and he twitched as he heard Calum come down the stairs, his ears pinning against his head.
Calum stopped at the bottom of the stairs and looked over at Syd. He shoved his hands into his pocket and quietly said, "I'll leave you alone."
Syd flinched, biting his lip, and he uncurled himself, whimpering, "I'm sorry..."
"You have no reason to be sorry...I'm the one that's sorry." Calum walked across the room to the front door. "You're not safe around me, so I will go."
Syd's eyebrows furrowed, and he looked over to Calum, "Don't leave."
Calum stood at the door, his hand wrapped around the knob. He knew that he should leave, but he didn't want to. His shoulders hunched. "I have to, I....you're scared of me. You should be now."
Syd stood, biting his lip. He carefully walked over to Calum, and he wrapped his arms around him. "It's my fault..."
Calum let his hand drop from the door knob. He laid a hand over Syd's. "I love you Syd. I would never hurt you. Even when...it wants to. I won't."
Syd nodded, "I know..." He said, pulling himself closer.
Calum carefully turned to face Syd, his eays flicking.
Syd looked into Calum's eyes, blinking and sniffling.
More to prove a point to himself than Syd, he leaned down and pressed his lips against Syd's in a soft kiss. When the thing didn't rear up, he sighed in relief.
Syd sighed as he was kissed, and he returned it, though it seemed a bit timid. He pulled away and nuzzled at Calum, "I'm so sorry, love..."
"Lets...." Calum shifted and pulled Syd into a hug. "Lets start over."
Syd nodded, "Yes...lets..." He muttered, nuzzling him.
Calum smiled a little, then leaned down and kissed Syd again. "Hello dear, happy Valentines Day. I got you a lovely present."
Syd smiled, nuzzling at him, "Ouh, love...you shouldn't have...you look wonderful, by the way."
"Why thank you." Calum rubbed Syd's back. "You look very good yourself."
Syd shuddered, "Thank you..." His voice cracked and trembled, "I got you a present as well...can't say it's that good, though, but..." He shrugged, weakly.
"I'm sure I'll love it." Calum pulled away from Syd and wrapped an arm around Syd's shoulders. "How about we go sit down?"
Syd nodded, "Alright..." He mumbled, an arm swinging around Calum's waist. "Who'll go first?"
"Hmm?" Confused, Calum tilted his head and looked at Syd.
Syd blinked, "Uhm...you know...who'll get their present first?"
"Ohhh." Calum blinked as sat down on the couch. "Would you like to go first?"
Syd nodded, and looked around, and picked up the cookie, "Here." He said, handing it to him, "Happy Valentines day, love."
"Thanks, it's what I always wanted." Calum looked towards the library and tried to work up the energy to go get it. Instead of getting up, he made grabby hands in the direction of the room.
Syd chuckled, and he held out a hand for Calum, "Come on, don't be lazy," He said playfully, despite the lump swelling up in his throat.
"But lazy sounds so good right now," whined Calum. He pouted as he took Syd's hand and shuffled to library. Reaching the point of laziness that he won't even lift his feet.
Syd chuckled, smiling weakly as he followed Calum into the library, his ears staying down.
Calum gestured to the violin. "Ta da." Half heartedly throws his hands in the air.
Syd smiled, "Oh...it's lovely..." He mumbled, his voice cracking again and turning into a feeble little squeak. He sniffled, and his breathing began to shudder.
Calum looked at Syd, then at the ground. "Sorry..."
Syd shook his head, "N-no..." He muttered, stepping closer and hugging him, "Don't be sorry..."
"But I've upset you again." Calum's ears dropped as his eyes met Syd's.
Syd smiled, a tear rolling down his cheek, "I'm happy." He said, kissing Calum and sniffling, "I love you, Calum."
"I love you too..." Calum lifted his hand to wipe away the tear with his thumb. He cupped Syd's cheek.
Syd smiled, nuzzling at Calum's hand. "Let's go to bed..." He muttered, "I'm tired.
"Alright." In a fluid motion, Calum picked Syd up and headed upstairs.
Calum carried Syd up the stairs and to their room. He carefully laid the other man on the bed before stretching out beside him.
Syd rolled and curled up next to Calum, nuzzling at him and closing his eyes.
Calum kissed Syd's forehead before closing his own eyes and starting to drift.
Sydney wrapped an arm around Calum, clinging to him. Though he still felt guilty, it all faded away as he fell into sleep.

Syd sat in the library, looking through some book about rivers that he'd lifted off of Kranky. Though he was barely interested in the text, only stopping to read a few passages as he turned through the pages. He stopped, finally, at a picture of a pretty little city by a river and a port and under a mountain. He sighed, staring into page, a glazed over and longing look entering his eyes. Dreville lingered over him, peering over his shoulder curiously, also looking over the picture. Calum was stretched out on the living room couch, his tail twitching in time with his hands. The full moon was in two days, and his patience was not at it's highest. He couldn't be in the same room as Dreville without wanting to sink his teeth into something. Syd sighed, running a finger over the picture sadly, as Dreville giggled behind him. He ignored her, though, and began reading the section on the city. Dreville grumbled as she was ignored, and then pulled on Syd's ears, in which he replied with a yelp. She snatched away the book and began to rip at it. "Don't!" Syd shouted, grabbing her shoulders and trying to pull her off, "Stop it!" At the sound of yelling, Calum shoved off the couch. Growling as he walked over to the library. "What the hell is going on in here?!" shouted Calum as he entered the room. Syd and Dreville looked up at Calum like they were brother and sister. Syd quickly peeled away from Dreville and the book, his ears dropping and his tail curling around himself. Dreville grinned and took the book, skipping off and out of the room to do whatever she pleased with it. Calum glared after Dreville, yearning for her to be alive. Then, he could kill her. He shook his head and tunneled his fingers through his hair. Willing himself to calm down. "What's she do now?" Syd watched after Dreville, looking disappointed, "She took my book..." He mumbled, looking up to Calum. "What book?" Calum looked back to see if he could see where the girl went. Syd fidgeted, "Just...a book." He mumbled, his ears twitching. Upstairs, little skipping footsteps could be heard, and then down the stairs. Dreville skipped back in the room, this time, not holding the book, but holding a box that had definitely replaced the one Calum had hid, "Look what I found!" "What?" Calum stared at the box, expecting it to contain a corpse. Syd stared at the box, and shied away, pretending to not be too interested. His ears, however, had nervously pinned themselves back. Dreville shrugged, "A pretty box!" She held it out to Calum, "It was under the bed." Calum raised his brow and looked over the box. "Under the bed?" He looked over at Syd, his tail beginning to flick in irritation again. Syd scooted back, feeling Calum's gaze. "How...odd...?" Dreville giggled excitedly, "Whats in it, Sydney?" Syd shrugged nervously, "How should I know?! It's not mine!" Dreville poked Calum, "Open it!" "No." Because he was tempted to open it, Calum kept his hands in his pockets. "It's not mine, I have no right snooping in it." Dreville pouted, "Fine! I will." She said, groping at the lid and opening it. Syd sighed, slumping where he was sitting like a criminal. Dreville grinned, "Candy!" She said, pulling out mysterious packets of expensive things and dumping them out on the carpet. Syd let out a groan from behind Calum. Calum eyed the contents, then sighed. Syd whimpered, staring at the contents she'd poured out so wastefully. He looked up to Calum with guilt, "I'm sorry..." "Whatever," muttered Calum. He once again ran his fingers through his hair. Tempted to rip it out. "Why?" Syd shrugged silently, staring at the ground. Dreville giggled, "Sydney's in trouubblleee!" She said in a sing song voice, playing with some of the contents of the box. Calum turned to look at Syd, his eyes a darker shade of blue. He grunted, then turned and walked out of the room. Sydney tackled Dreville, holding her down, and socked her square in the eye. Though, the girl remained expressionless as Syd's fist hit, and instead of hurting Dreville, a throbbing pain spread across his face from his eye, and he put his hands over it, groaning. Dreville grinned under Syd, giggling and holding up a packet, "Want some?" Syd twitched, and slapped the packet out of her hand, taking one more wimpy swing again, and just as the time before, instead of busting her lip as he aimed to, his lip split open and blood poured out from the split. Calum put his glasses back on, then headed out with the intentions of stretching back out on the couch. He stopped when he saw Syd and Dreville. "...?" Syd crawled off of Dreville, whimpering and holding his face. Dreville, however, was giggling, gleefully on the floor. She stood and picked up a packet, this time holding it out silently for Calum. Calum wordlessly took the packet from Dreville, then looked back over at Syd. He sighed, shoving the packet in his pocket as he disappeared into the kitchen again. Dreville grinned, looking satisfied as she picked up the box and flung it violently at Syd. Then, after watching him squirm a bit, Dreville simply grew bored and vanished. Syd stared at the spot she'd been in, and let out a sort of sob, before curling up on the ground. Calum came back with an ice pack. He crouched down by Syd and rubbed his back. The darkness fading from his eyes to be replaced by concern. Syd looked up at Calum through one eye, and slowly sat up, whiping his lip. Calum wrapped an arm around Syd, then pressed the ice pack against Syd's eye. "Should I go get you another one?" Syd shook his head, leaning on Calum and holding the ice pack to his face. "I'm sorry..." Not commenting, Calum held Syd close. "What'd she do? You look like you got in a bar fight." Syd frowned, "She didn't do anything." He said, his tail flicking nervously as he stared at the box, "She threw that at me," He said, pointing to it, "But it hit me in the chest, not the face." "Then what happened to your face?" Calum looked confused as he stared at Syd's face. Syd frowned, "I don't know..." he mumbled, closing his eye, "I just hit her and then my face started hurting..." Not sure what to think, Calum kissed Syd's forehead. It seemed like every day he was learning new things about Dreville. Things he really didn't want to know. Syd pushed himself closer to Calum, whimpering as his forehead was kissed. "I should've known better, it's happened before..." O: Yarrow and Erik are married? "It has?" In an attempt to calm Syd, Calum stroked his fingers through Syd's hair. "There is to much that she seems to be able to do to you..." Syd nodded slowly, clinging to Calum. "We're lucky she isn't here..." "Where does she go?" Calum rubbed Syd's back and rocked him. Syd shrugged, "To go play..." He muttered, actually not too sure. But he didn't mind, as long as she was gone for a while. Syd sighed, and nuzzled at Calum. Calum returned the nuzzling. "How's your eye?" He kissed Syd's forehead. Syd nodded, slowly, "It's okay..." He mumbled, lifting off the ice pack and revealing a swollen eye. He frowned, it was going to leave quite a mark. Calum winced when he saw the eye."You have terrible luck my dear." He licked at Syd's cheek. Syd shrugged, "I suppose I do..." He smiled slightly as his cheek was licked, and he nuzzled at Calum happily, "But lets not let it bother us too much. "If you wish." Calum happily returned the nuzzling, his tail swishing. "What should we do?" Syd shrugged, "Anything, whatever you want, love." He smiled crookedly, despite the swollen eye and busted lip, "I suppose I owe it to you, right?" "I suppose you do..." Calum shifted and got comfortable. "I can't think of anything though..." Syd thought, "Me neither." He shrugged, "We could always just sit here." "Lets move to couch then." Calum patted Syd's side, then climbed to his feet. Syd nodded, and stood, rubbing at his eye slightly. Calum walked over and sat down on the couch. Sighing as he did. Syd followed and flopped on it, playfully flopping his tail over Calum's lap. "Do you want to watch a movie?" Calum reached over and combed his fingers through the fur on Syd's tail. Syd shrugged, "Sure..." He said, his tail twitching happily. Calum turned to sit sideways, continuing to pet Syd's tail. He realized that this was really his first time playing with a Namir's tail. He hadn't even played with his own before. "Any requests?" Syd purred slightly, finding that being pet was oddly relaxing. His tail began swishing in a calm manner, and he shook his head slowly, "Nope." "I'll pick one at random then." Calum abandoned Syd's tail and the couch to look through the movies. He settled on Happily Never After. Syd sighed, his tail dropping as Calum left the couch. His ears perked as Calum chose a movie, but he decided to not ask and be surprised. Calum sat back down on the couch, contenting himself with playing with Syd's tail again. Syd's tail swished about again, as he leaned lovingly on Calum. He sighed contently as the movie started, ignoring the fact that he could only see out of one eye. Wrapping an arm around Syd, Calum yawned and got comfy. Syd nuzzled Calum, smirking as he realized what movie it was. His ear flicked in amusement. Not really paying much attention to the movie, Calum closed his eyes and let his mind wander. Using Syd's presence to soothe his darker half. Syd's mind also wandered, though it was more out of being tired, since he hadn't been sleeping since Dreville decided to be more...active. He closed his eyes, since it was less painful, and he remained silent, tuning out everything but Calum's breathing. After some time, Calum opened his eyes and noticed that Syd wasn't watching the movie. Figuring that Syd was asleep, he remained still and quiet. Syd was indeed, fairly sure he was asleep as a thought popped up in his head, and he sprang up, his ears perked, "Calum!" He said, excitedly, "I have a marvelous idea!" Calum jumped in surprise, nearly falling off the couch. He looked over at Syd and raised a brow. "What?" Syd's tail flicked about as he thought of his idea, looking rather proud of it, "Now, savor this, love, because it's not too often I get a good idea." He sat up very straight and tried to look as smart and as refined as possible, "When we were dating, Dreville didn't bother us too much, right? Only a little. But on the actual dates, she was no where to be seen!" Calum blinked, frowning as he thought back. His frown slowly easing when he realized that Syd was right. "I wonder why..." Syd thought for a moment, "Ouh, well, maybe she's jealous?" He shrugged, "If I liked you and you were dating someone else, I wouldn't want to hang around, I'd get mad." He spaced out for a few moments, and then shook his head as he remembered what point he was getting at. "Anyways, we should go on more dates." Calum opened his mouth to comment, then closed it again. His ears flicked as he thought about it. It would be nice to go on more dates with Syd... He nodded. Syd grinned, "Good." He said, "We ought to plan one soon, then." "Alright." Calum leaned back, then looked over at the screen to see where the movie was at. "Just let me know when." Syd nodded, and then politely looked back at the movie, his ears were twitching excitedly, though. His and Calum's dates were so nice, and just because they were married didn't mean they couldn't go on anymore. And now, with the thought of it, Syd could hardly contain himself, he was like a child in a candy shop Calum tries to stay focused on the movie. But his gaze kept traveling to Syd's twitching ears. Unable to resist, he finally nipped at one. Syd grinned sheepishly as his ear was nipped, which looked a little silly with the current shape of his face. He smirked and leaned over, giving Calum a quick kiss on the cheek. Calum chuckled, and tilted his head back to rest against the back of the couch. "I'd kiss you, but I'd probably hurt your lip." Syd pouted for a moment, before leaning on Calum and nuzzling at him. Calum returned the nuzzling, sighing in contentment as he did so. Syd sighed after Calum, kissing his cheek again, despite the twinge of pain it left, "I love you." He said, grinning. "I love you too," murmured Calum. He rubbed Syd's side and fought back a yawn. Syd nuzzled at Calum once more, before lazily stretching out his arms, and then throwing one over Calum's shoulders. Calum snorted when one of Syd's arms found its way around his shoulder. He leaned against the other male. Having already forgotten about the movie again. Syd, who had never really been paying attention to the movie in the first place, flicked an ear at the snort, and then flopped his tail over Calum's lap again. A sudden yawn forced it's way out, and Syd fidgeted, flicking an ear at the overall quietness of the house. Since it was there, Calum went back to petting Syd's tail. "What'd you think? When you woke up with a tail and strange ears?" Syd thought for a moment, "I thought I was high." He muttered, "So I went back to sleep. And then when I was sure I wasn't high, I got scared." "How long did it take for you to realize that you weren't high?" Calum asked, more for his own amusement than anything. Syd shied away slightly, "Only...an hour or two." "Then what'd you do?" Calum's hand rested on Syd's tail. His fingers twined in Syd's fur. Syd blinked, trying to remember, "Uhm, I think I just wandered around following Dreville and tripping over my tail." He explained, "And then at some point I was tackled by some girl who wanted me to live with her...It's not like I'm stupid! I mean, I am stupid, but, I only went along with her because Niraj and Meth lived with her." "Did you find it strange?" Calum shifted, stretching out his legs. "That two people you know were already here?" Syd fidgeted slightly, "Uhm..." He hesitated, flicking an ear, "Well...maybe at first, but, if you think about it..." He trailed off, "...You know..." "I expect it would've made sense later." Calum crosses his legs at his ankles. His mind mulling over the mystery of Namiah. "But at first, what did you feel when you saw them?" Syd's ears dropped, "I can't remember." He said, bluntly, though he could remember quite clearly his reaction when he first saw them. "Alright..." Having trouble sitting still, Calum uncrossed his ankles and once again shifted. Syd twitched, and bit the inside of his lip. He turned and looked out the window, taking in the sunlight, "Oh, it's a lovely day." He mumbled to himself, his ear flicking. "Is it?" Calum looked over at the window. "Should we do something?" Syd nodded, "We should..." "Any suggestions?" Wanting to move, but not quite willing to work up the urge to yet, Calum stared up at the ceiling. Syd's tail swished about, "We could go on a picnic." He said, still staring out the window. "A picnic would be nice..." Calum frowned as he trailed off. "We'd have to get food together." Syd flicked and ear and looked over to Calum, "Well, if you don't want to, we don't have to..." He muttered, sort of shyly. "I want to." Calum ran a hand through his hair. "I just..." He wondered how he should put this. "I don't think you want me to close to sharp object and cooking food so close to the full moon." Syd's ears perked, "I can cook." He said, his ear flicking again. "Alright." Calum's hands twitched as he rested them on his lap. "That would work." Syd smiled slightly, "Right then. What do you want?" "Anything." Calum smiled at Syd, his ears flicking. Syd bit his lip, and nodded, "Er, alright." He then stood, someone awkwardly, and walked off to the kitchen, humming softly. After Syd had left, Calum stretched out on the couch. Closing his eyes as he tried to calm down. About a half an hour later, Syd came out of the kitchen, still humming. He was hauling about a big basket, heavy with food. Calum was napping on the couch, his ears flicking wildly in his sleep. One of his legs jerking as he let out a low growl. Syd stopped where he was standing as he heard the growl, and he stared, his ears perking. After a moment, the growling stopped, and Calum nuzzled at the couch. Mumbling incoherently. Syd subconsciously stepped closer, trying to get a better listen at the mumbling, purely out of curiosity. Calum grumbled something Syd and steak, then bit into the couch cushion. Syd's ear flicked, "Steak...?" He mumbled quietly, under his breath. He raised a brow, continuing to watch Calum. At the sound of Syd's voice, Calum's ears shot up. He blinked open his eyes and looked up at Syd, still biting the couch. Syd just stared, and then held up the basket, "Uhm...foods ready." "Hmm?" Calum released the couch. "Blah." He sat up and picked fuzz off his tongue. Syd blinked, "Uhm..." He smirked, "Food, see?" He sighed, somewhat dramatically, "Unless you'd rather eat the couch." Calum glowered at Syd, then mumbled something about how'd he rather sink his teeth into Syd's a**. Pushes to his feet and trudges to the door as he yawns. "Lets go." Syd frowned, his ears flopping, "Sorry." He muttered as he followed after Calum. Calum looked back at Syd, then frowned as the guilt bubbled up. "Cheer up dear." He blushed. "I meant it in a perverted manner." Syd blinked, "Right..." He muttered, looking away as he continued following after Calum. "I'm sorry." Calum's ears drooped. He hated times like this. He wished the full moon would just come and go already. Syd frowned, "No, I should be sorry." He muttered. "I shouldn't over react..." He sighed, never looking forward to the full moon. The house was so lonely without Calum, even more so since Sadie had left. "You call that over reacting?" Calum raised a brow. "I just told you that I wanted to bite your a**. Over reacting would've been smacking me with a toaster or something." Syd bit his lip, "I shouldn't have gotten upset." "And I shouldn't have said that I want to bite your a**." Calum shrugged and sighed. "Just...ignore me." Syd shook his head, picking up his pace to walk beside Calum, "I don't want to ignore you, love." "You'd be better off doing so." Calum reached out to take Syd's free hand. "I don't say the best of things around this time." Syd interlocked his fingers with Calum, and sighed, "I'm not ignoring you." He said, with finality. "And you have every right not to say the best of things." Calum looked over at Syd and smiled a little, he squeezed Syd's hand. Syd leaned on Calum slightly, smiling back, "Where are we going, love?" Calum came to an abrupt stop, his eyes widening slightly. He looked at Syd. "...I don't know." Syd blinked, looking back, "Well..." He smiled, "Follow me, I'll surprise you." "Alright." Calum smiled sheepishly. "Lead the way." Syd grinned, pulling him along. Soon enough, they came to the hill they had their first date on. "Here." "Oh." Calum smiled, thinking back to that rainy night. "Wonderful spot dear." Syd smiled, "I thought so." Calum sat down on the hill, smiling as he flopped back. He closed his eyes as he took his trip down memory lane. Syd set the basket down next to Calum, sitting down and staring over the horizon. "I love this hill." Calum opened his eyes and stared up at Syd. Syd nodded, "Me too..." He mumbled, sighing. " Calum sat up and scooted over to Syd. He nuzzled at Syd's cheek. "I love you more." Syd smiled slightly, "I love YOU more." Calum chuckled and leaned against Syd. His tail lazily flicking. Syd grinned, pulling over the basket, "Hungry?" "Yeah." Calum's stomach growled, as if to back up his statement. "What did you make?" "Pasta." He said, shrugging as he opened the basket, taking out the plates. Calum's ears perked as he took his plate. "What kind of pasta?" "Fettuccine Alfredo." He said, opening a box of noodles and dishing out some on the plates, "With beef." He opened a jar of warm sauce with chunks of meat in it. He carefully poured some alfredo on top of the noodles and then handed one to Calum before also handing him a fork and a napkin. Calum practically drooled as he watched Syd serve the food. "Looks delicious." He took his plate and waited for Syd to make his own before digging in. Syd smiled, and then pulled out a bottle of wine and two glasses, pouring some in and handing one to Calum, before scooping up some noodles and plopping them in his mouth. At the sight of the wine, Calum's ears flicked. He sniffed at it before taking a small sip. Deciding that it didn't taste bad, he took another sip before chowing on his noodles. Syd sipped at the wine, watching Calum out of the corner of his eye as he munched on his food. Calum slurped up a noodle in a childish manner. And every now and then, his glass of wine would shake as his hand twitched. Syd frowned when Calum's hand twitched, "Are you alright, love?" "Hmm?" Calum looked up at Syd. "Of course." Syd bit his lip, and then smiled slightly, "Alright, then." He muttered, going back to eating and sipping on his wine. After eating about half his plate, Calum pushed it to the side. "I'm stuffed." Syd grinned, finishing off his wine, and pushing his plate to the side as well, "I'm glad." Calum flopped back on the grass and rubbed his stomach. "My compliments to the chef." Syd grinned, flopping next to Calum, "Thank you..." Calum's hand reached out to take one of Syd's as he stared up at the sky. "No, thank you for the food." Syd linked his fingers with Calum's, "No need to thank me, love." "There's plenty of reason's to thank you." Calum squeezed Syd's hand. Syd shrugged, and then rolled, curling up to Calum happily. Calum smiled, wrapping an arm around Syd. Syd sighed contently, and leaned over to give Calum a happy little kiss on the lips. Calum's tail lazily thumped against the ground as he returned the kiss. Syd nuzzled Calum, lazily resting his head on his chest. A sigh of contentment escaped Calum as he lazily stroked his hand up and down Syd's back. Up ahead, he watched the clouds slowly pass by. Syd nuzzled Calum, closing his eyes, trying to think of something to say, though only a few things could come to mind. So, with a flick of an ear, he shooed them off. Under the calmness of the moment, and Syd's warmth, Calum felt his mind began to drift. His hand on Syd's back twitching every now and then. Syd kissed Calum's cheek and then sat up, looking down at him, and then over the horizon, "I wish things were perfect..." He mumbled, quietly. Calum turned his gaze from the clouds to Syd's face. He raised a brow, crossing his arms behind his head. "If things were perfect, life would be dull." Syd fidgeted, biting the inside of his lip, the part that wasn't injured, "You're happy, right?" "Yeah." Calum stared at Syd, puzzled about why Syd was asking. "You're telling the truth, right?" He looked back at Calum, "I know I've been a terrible husband lately." "I'm telling the truth." Calum sat up on his elbows and frowned in concern. "Is something wrong Syd?" Syd looked away, staring at the ground, "It's just...we keep fighting, and bad things keep happening, and it's always my fault." "It's not always your fault. I'm not exactly the easiest person to live with either." Not really liking where this was going, Calum sat up and rubbed his hands on his pants legs. "And all couples fight." Syd's ears flopped as Calum sat up, "I'm sorry, love..." "For what?" Calum's ears flicked. "You're worrying me Syd." "Just...for all of the mean things I've done to you..." His ears perked, and he looked panicked, "Don't be worried, there's nothing to worry about." "Are you sure?" Calum seemed to calm slightly, his hands twitching as they rested on his legs. Syd nodded, "I'm sure," He muttered, looking down to Calum's hands. Calum's ears flicked up, then down, then settled somewhere in the middle. Noticing Syd's stare, he stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Alright." Syd frowned, "Are you alright?" "I'm fine." Calum flopped back onto the ground, his hand still in his pockets. Syd sighed, leaning over Calum and then kissing him, despite the twinge of pain it sent through his lip. Calum's ears perked at the kiss. He carefully returned it, not wanting to cause Syd pain. Syd flopped next to Calum, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up." "It's fine..." Calum looked at Syd from the corner of his eyes. "Why did you bring it up?" Syd shrugged, scooting closer to Calum, "I don't know..." He thought for a moment, "I just thought I should apologize..." After a moment, Calum pulled a hand out of his pocket. He lifted his arm in invitation for Syd to curl up with him again. "I'm sorry to then." Syd stared for a moment, and then happily curled up to Calum, "You don't need to be sorry, love." "I'm just as much at fault as you dear." Calum wrapped his arm around Syd, then lightly squeezes him. Syd nuzzled Calum as he was squeezed, "No you aren't...I'm the one that brought it up." Calum shook his head. "I'm sorry for before." Syd sighed, kissing the nape of Calum's neck, "Don't apologize, love..." He smiled, "I'm not offended or anything." Calum turned his head to brush his lips over Syd's forehead. Figuring arguing would get him no where, he remained silent. Syd smiled, nuzzling Calum, "I love you." "I love you too," murmured Calum as he returned the nuzzling. Syd purred slightly, though it wasn't an animal like purr, but somewhat of a pleased whimper. "You're just...a lovely person." Calum blushed a little, and tried to pull Syd closer. "Not nearly as lovely as you." Syd snuggled up to Calum, allowing himself to be pulled closer, "Poppycock." He muttered, closing his eyes and smirking. "Says you." Calum rubbed Syd's back as he went back to cloud gazing. Syd let out a quiet snerk, and sighed. Though, suddenly, his ears perked, opening his eyes as he stared at Calum, remembering one of the meaner things he'd done to Calum when he was on withdrawal. Not noticing Syd's attention, Calum continued to gaze up at the clouds. He almost felt...calm. Syd blinked, gazing over Calum, and deciding it could wait until they got hope. He sighed, looking up to the clouds. "You ever cloud gaze when you were younger?" Calum turned his attention back to Syd. Syd nodded, "All the time." He said, smiling, "My cousin's house was in the middle of a huge field of grass and wheat, and we'd lie out there sometimes for hours..." Calum closed his eyes, and tried to picture a young Syd cloud gazing with a young Harold. He smiled at the conjured image. Syd sighed, thinking of the tall and unkempt field, how it towered over him and seemed so dwarfed next to Harold. But when they were laying, they were the same height, and then the grass was giant to both of them, just a forest of thin spires, and the dent from where they laid giving way to a view of the sky above. After several moments of silence, Calum reopened his eyes and looked around. "Think we should head back?" Syd nodded, looking over to Calum, "If you want."

Calum sat on what was once Sadie's bed, trailing a hand over the blanket while lost in his own thoughts. He never thought he would have a child, and then they were given Sadie. It was surprisingly nice, raising her with Syd. Being a family...he missed that.
Syd hummed to himself, walking through the house with the violin Calum had given him for Valentines day. He plucked out a lazy little tune on the strings, boredly pacing around and looking for Calum. Dreville seemed to be smart enough to not hang around so often as she normally would, though that in itself worried Syd. But when she was gone, it was so quiet. He wished Sadie hadn't left so soon.
At the sound of approaching footsteps, Calum pulled back from hie reverie. He settled his hands into his lap and tried his best to look like he hadn't been going down the emotional road of memory lane.
Looking as if it wasn't odd to be caught in Sadie's room, like it was an every day thing, Calum lifted a hand and waves at Syd.
Syd blinked, still plucking out the tune as he stepped over to Calum and sat next to him. After a moment, he stopped, and sighed, slumping slightly at the sad sight that was the room.
Calum sat, letting silence fill the room. It didn't suit it. The silence, or the emptiness. "It's wrong..."
Syd nodded, solemnly, "It is."
"I've had the urge to dig out some of her old blocks," Calum made a gesture, like he was throwing something, "and to just toss them on the floor. Just...so that this room would look alive again."
Syd smiled sadly, running his hands over the violin, "It'd still be too quiet."
Calum sighed, then slumped forward to rest his elbows on his knees, and his chin on his hands. "...Namrah grow up to fast."
Calum cringed at the mention of becoming a grandfather. Warding away any thoughts of Sadie...doing 'that.' He looked up at Syd, frowning at the nudge. But then the frown disappeared and his ears perked in interest. "More?"
Syd's ears dropped at the frown, but then perked as Calum's did. "Well, yeah. Breedin' seasons coming up, I heard." He shrugged, "So it's possible we could have a bunch of 'em in a week or so." He sighed, "But it's just a rumor."
"We're males Syd." Calum sighed and looked down at the floor. "It's not like we could knock each other up."
Syd frowned, "Right..." He flopped back, resisting any innuendo. "Well...Kevin and Ryo had kids when everyone else did. And as far as I know, they're both males...so something has to happen, right? And I heard their kids look a lot like them." He tapped his chin, "You don't suppose Kevin is really a woman, do you?"
Calum's ears perked again. He had forgotten about Ryo's kids. Maybe that was because he hadn't seen much of his friend lately...they really need to hang out more. He mumbled, "Wouldn't surprise me, he looks close enough to." Really, he knows that Kevin is a male. He just couldn't stop himself from making the comment.
Syd chuckled, then playfully sighed, "Oh, well, maybe there's no hope for us after all..."
Calum tapped a finger on his cheek as he mulled it over. "...Maybe they used invitro."
Syd squirmed uncomfortably at the thought. "Maybe." He said, "I know someone else, but, he's most likely a female too." He bit his lip, "Eh. Probably some wack adoption thing. Though it wouldn't explain why they look like the parents."
Calum continued to think along the logical lines, when he suddenly remembered something. This was Namiah, the island where video game characters were alive and where some humans are turned into Namrah. And virtually nothing about this island, makes sense. "...Another of the islands many mysteries."
Syd nodded, and then perked up, sitting up and turning to Calum, "But...if we can, would you want to?"
"Do I want to have more kids?" Rather than looking at Syd, Calum let his gaze roam over the empty room.
Syd nodded, watching Calum, "We'd probably have more than one...it'd take a lot of work."
It took a moment for Calum's mind to click on to what Syd meant by "it'd take a lot of work." His first reaction went along a more perverted route... He coughed and blushed. "We could handle it."
Syd sniggered at the blush, and then put on a smirk, "I'm sure we could. So shall we?"
Calum rolled his eyes at the smirk, then nodded. "Lets."
Syd smiled, and the pulled Calum in to a slightly enthusiastic hug, trying to hide his excitement. But then, he frowned slightly, "But we shouldn't get too excited, because there's always the chance of failure."
Calum returned the hug, nuzzling at Syd's shoulder. "Then we'll try again."
Syd grinned, returning the nuzzle, "Very well, then." He looked at the bed, "You know, if we do have more than one, I'm not sure how one bed will work out. Maybe when they're just kits, but, when they're teenagers it'll get awkward..."
"Then we'll have to get more beds." Calum pulled back and pushed to his feet. He stretched. "...When the time comes."
Syd looked up at Calum, and then stood, "Alright then." He looked over the room, wondering how they could fit more beds. He decided to think about it later, and he leaned over, kissing Calum.
Calum's ears perked at the kiss. He smiled against Syd's lips and returned it, before pulling back. "How many can come in a litter?"
Syd thought for a moment, his ears flicking, "I think...usually around four. But Meth said he knew someone who ate a bunch of berries that make you have more, and he got seven." Syd shuddered, "I don't think I could handle seven. Not at one time."
"Seven?!" Calum goggled at Syd, a great wave of sympathy rising up for the mother that bore seven children. "That's...nuts."
Syd nodded, "Seven." He frowned, "But I heard they're family isn't close at all..." He sighed, "I want our family to be close, Calum."
"Our family will be close Syd," murmured Calum as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "They'll all live with use here."
Syd smiled sheepishly, "Right...I don't think they lived with each other." He smirked, bumped Calum slightly with his butt, and hummed, plucking out the tune from before on the violin.
Calum rocked on his heels, then bumped Syd right back. "Enjoying your present?"
Syd grinned, "Of course, love." He sighed, perhaps more dramatically than he should have. "You know, if we have more than one kid, it'd be a lot harder to...you know." He added a little pelvic thrust for emphasis.
Raising a brow, Calum smirked and stepped around Syd. He ran his hand up Syd's back, then to brush the back of his neck. "That's what babysitters are for my dear.
Syd's smirk grew, and he leaned against Calum suggestively for a moment, and then, without a word, stepped out of the room, plucking along on his violin, humming and dancing.
Calum rolled his eyes and shoved his hands back into his pockets before following behind Syd.
Syd stepped into their bedroom, and flopped on the bed, closing his eyes and continuing to pluck at the stings of the violin. Though his eyes were closed, his grin was slowly turning into a deviant one.
Calum stopped in the door way, leaning against the door jam as he stared at Syd. At the grin, he raised a brow. Wondering what was running through his husband's mind.
Syd sighed, setting the violin down on the nightstand, and then looked over to Calum. He then patted the space next to him, his tail flicking.
Waiting a beat, Calum walked over and took a seat eside Syd. "Yes my dear?
Syd smirked, and then sat up, staring at Calum a bit expectantly.
Calum flicked an ear, looking puzzled. "...Oh!" He leaned forward and pressed his lips agaisnt Syd's.
Syd chuckled, smiling into the kiss. He wrapped his arms loosely around Calum's neck.
Calum pressed closer to Syd and nibbled at his bottom lip.
Syd sighed, pulling himself closer, returning the kiss.
Calum's ears flicked down, then up again. He pulled back to pepper kisses along Syd's jaw line as his tail thumped against the bed.
Syd's cheeks turned slightly pink, and he nuzzled as he felt the kisses. He rubbed lightly at Calum's side, letting out a pleased noise, which was almost a squeak.
Calum chuckled and moved his attention to Syd's neck. A low purring growl rumbling out as he wrapped his arms around Syd.
Syd leaned his head the other way, giving Calum more access. His hand ran up and tangled its fingers in Calum's hair.
Smirking, Calum latched onto an area of Syd's neck and began to lightly suck on it. All the while, he began to fall back on the bed and trying to pull Syd with him.
-censor-
Syd laid next to Calum, flopped over him halfway.
Calum rubbed at his eyes, his glasses pushed up to his forehead. Smiling, he mumbled someting and then stretched.
Syd's ears perked, "Hm...?" He nuzzled Calum, sighing happily.
"I said love you," mumbled Calum as he returned the nuzzling. He slid his glasses back into place.
Syd grinned lazily, "I love you too..." He said, lightly kissing Calum's cheek, "I love you too..."
"Twice huh? Don't I feel special." Calum chuckled, then let out a long yawn. He let out a pleased sound of contenment before and tried to pull Syd even closer.
Syd scooted closer to Calum, "You are special." He grinned, "You're fantastic and wonderful and special and amazing and beautiful and lovely all rolled into one.
"That's a lot of stuff to live up to..." Calum brushed his lips over Syd's forehead. "You are beautiful."
"I'm nothing compared to you," He said, kissing Calum's chin.
"We disagree there my dear." Rubbing Syd's back, Calum sighed and closed his eyes.
Syd stared at Calum, and then threw his arms around him and hugged him. "I love you."
Calum's eyes shot open again, he smiled and nuzzled at Syd. "I love you too."
Syd kissed Calum's cheek again and then closed his eyes, snuggling closer.
"Tired?" Calum felt around for the blanket, tugging it up to cover Syd and himself.
Syd nodded, slowly, though it was really the warmth of Calum and the bed that was lulling him to sleep.
Calum kissed Syd's forehead, then his cheek. "Go to sleep Syd," he mumured.
Syd nodded again, and then curled up to Calum, wrapping his tail around his and Calum's legs, nuzzling him once more before beginning to fall asleep.
Calum smiled and stared up at the ceiling as Syd drifted off. Thinking about what it would be like to have more kids.

Calum: *Grunts*
Syd: -sitting on a log, looking through what looks like a photography book-
Calum: *Looks over at Syd, raises a brow*
Syd: -turns the page, looking at a black and white photograph of a fjord-
Calum: *Walks over to Syd, but doesn't look at the picture. Just stares at Syd*
Syd: Hullo... -turns the page again, this time a stormy looking beach with a stormy sky and long grass along the side of it- ...
Calum: ...Taking a trip down memory lane?
Syd: I guess so...my cousin said he found it in his parent's attic, and he brought it here with him... -turns the page, revealing a rocky and foggy landscape, with moss and grasses spread out-
Calum: Is it yours?
Syd: Sort of...we used to look through it when it was too cold to go outside. It's funny...when he came here, he said everything he'd brought was destroyed...his ipod, his phone. -chuckles- He said he brought a Tanakh, and a bible too, just for extra precaution. Anyways...he said everything he'd brought was destroyed, except this, and his sketchbook, and half of the Tanakh. -shrugs-
Calum: Destroyed by what?
Syd: Water.
Calum: ...Water?
Syd: He rode his bike off of a cliff and into the ocean. -turns the page, showing a series of grey and gloomy pictures, sighs-
Calum: Do I want to know why?
Syd: Just to come here. -shrugs and turns the page, revealing a bunch of photos and papers that were stuck in there- ...
Calum: But how did he know that he would end up here?
Syd: I don't know...his parents died after I did...I imagine that it'd be pretty traumatizing...by then all of his friends were dead too...and he was very shy, so it was hard for him to make others. Maybe he believed in an afterlife where he could see all the people he loves. -bites his lip- I had dreams about namiah...maybe he did too. -starts looking through the pictures, picking one up of him as Harold as children-
Calum: Dreams of Namiah? *Mind begins to drift, working to put together the puzzle that is this island*
Syd: -looks through the pile of pictures, all of them of him and Harold, or his Aunt and Uncle. Picks up one where Harold and him look rather gloomy and disappointed- Hm..
Calum: *Flicks an ear, looks down at Syd* What?
Syd: -stares at the picture for a moment and laughs- Heh...we look so sad...I think we were hunting for elves and couldn't find any.
Calum: *Raises a brow* Elves?
Syd: -laughs- Yeah...in Iceland...it's widely believed that there are elves living in the rocks...so we tried to find some to keep as pets...we never did, so we decided they weren't real and the majority of Icelanders are crazy.
Calum: Uh huh *Is disturbed by that, but doesn't know why*
Syd: -picks up another picture, this one from just a few years ago. It has Syd, Harold, Meth, Niraj and Norma all standing together looking a bit awkward because they're all crammed into a tiny hole in some abstract sculpture. It's a happy picture, but he still grimaces at it- Just one big god damn ******** suicide pact. -slaps the picture in the book and slams it shut-
Calum: *Blinks, ears pinning back* Sorry.
Syd: -bites his lip and looks up at Calum- How're you, love?
Calum: *Shugs* Alright...you?
Syd: I'm fine... -stands, carefully tucking the book under his arm- Lets go...I have to go give this back.
Calum: *Blinks* Oh, alright
Syd: -smiles and holds out his hand-
Calum: *Takes Syd's hand, linking their hands* ...To Harold's?
Syd: -nods- Yus. -starts walking, tugging on Calum's hand lightly-
Calum: *Fall sinto step beside Syd*
Syd: -hums quietly, leaning on Calum slightly-
Calum: *Blushes a little* I look the same as any other day...
Syd: I know... -smirks- So you must look lovely everyday. -nuzzles-
Calum: *Blushes more*...Thank you
Syd: -smirk widens and kisses him again- Ouh, look, we're almost there.
Calum: *Sighs, finding Harold's presence to always be...uncomfortable*
Syd: -hums a happy little song, walking up the porch and knocking on the door, but no one answers- I wonder if anyone's home...?
Calum: *Shrugs, looks for any sign of someone being there*
Syd: Ouh, someone's coming.
Harold: -opens the door, holding an icepack to the opposite side of where Meth hit him last- Oh...Hallo. Come in...
Syd: -steps in, dragging Calum along-
Harold: I'm sorry I took so long...I went to answer the door and...something came up... -looks over to the couch, where Meth is passed out- How're you two? -looks at Calum, wondering why he's being stared at-
Syd: I'm fine... -shrugs- What happened to your face?
Harold: Nothing.
Calum: *Raises a brow but says nothing*
Harold: Do you want something to drink or...whatever...?
Syd: Are you okay?
Harold: I'm fine...
Syd: -looks over to Calum- Do you want anything?
Calum: No thank you.
Harold: Alright...
Syd: Here... -hands over the book- Thanks for letting me borrow it-
Harold: Oh...yeah, you're welcome.
Syd: Right...it's getting late...we'll be going now. You're sure you're okay?
Harold: I'm fine.
Syd: Alright...goodbye!
Harold: Bye...
Syd: -waves and tugs Calum back out, closing the door behind him-
Calum: ...I feel like I've just been dragged from the home of a wife beater.
Syd: A wife beater...?
Calum: Yes.
Syd: Why's that?
Calum: The nervous glance, the assurance of being fine while holding an ice pack to the cheek. A fading bruise on on the other one.
Syd: -frowns- You're right... -looks a bit panicked- Maybe we should go back...to see if he's okay...but...then again, I'm sure he'd tell me if he wasn't...
Calum: Why would he? *Raises a brow* To admit to the embarassment that he can't take care of himself?
Syd: He can take care of himself... -ears flick- He'd just...tell me, he tells me everything... -looks a little sad now-
Calum: Even more reason to hide it *Leans close to Syd* I've been there Syd, you should listen to me. I know the signs and the happy little lies inside and out. *Pulls back and starts walking towards home*
Syd: We should help him, then... -reluctantly follows after Calum, twitching-
Calum: If you want to help him, you have to get him to tell you whose pic- ...hitting him.
Syd: But... -looks back towards the house, sighing- I feel terrible...
Calum: Do you want to go back?
Syd: Could we...?
Calum: If you want.
Syd: -bites his lip and tugs him back- I'm sorry...this is all terribly awkward, isn't it?
Calum: I've dealt with awkwarder.
Syd: Right... -sighs, heading up the porch and knocking on the door again-
Calum: *Follows behind Syd, resisting the need to fidget*
Harold: -answers the door again, looking a little surprised- Yes...?
Syd: Uhm... -not sure what to say-
Harold: ...?
Calum: *Nudges Syd*
Syd: Uhm...come talk to us...
Harold: Okay...?
Syd: -grabs Harold's wrist and pulls him out onto the porch-
Calum: *Closes the door behind Harold, then kind of stays in te background*
Syd: -drags Harold off of the porch and a little bit aways from the house, then turns to face him- What's wrong?
Harold: There's nothing wrong... -still holding the icepack to his face-
Calum: *Follows, but gives the cousins. Coughs "Bull s**t" into his hand, then decided he's been spending to much time with Danari*
Syd: -flicks his ear and gives Calum a little glare, but turns back to Harold- Let me see...under the icepack...
Harold: ... -pulls it off, revealing a big bruise that goes from his eye down to his cheek bone-
Calum: *Looks off to the side when he's glared at, shoves his hands into his pockets. Looks back, blinks at the size of the bruise*
Syd: You poor thing...what happened...?
Harold: ... -looks over to Calum, and then Syd- Hann högg mig.
Syd: Who?
Harold: ...Með.
Syd: -grimaces, his ears pinning back, his whole demeanor turning into an angry one-
Calum: *Looks towards the house, then back at Syd and Harold. Not quite sure what do or say*
Harold: Don't get in a fight, it won't solve anything...
Syd: -grumbles- Fine...but... -twitches, staring at him and thinking-
Calum: *Tilts his head*
Syd: -hands the icepack back to Harold- You're staying with us.
Harold: D: Why?
Calum: Isn't it obvious?
Syd: -nods- Go get your stuff...
Harold: But what about Orri...?
Syd: Oh yeah... -bites his lip- He'll be fine...he's too short, Meth'll just fall over if he tries to slap him.
Harold: Right... -ears drop and heads over to the house to gather his things-
Calum: ...Should we go with him?
Syd: No...Meth was passed out, he won't be waking up anytime soon... -sighs, rubbing his temples-
Calum: Alright... *Walks over to Syd and hugs him*
Syd: -leans into the hug, nuzzling Calum and kissing his cheek-
Calum: *Rubs Syd's back* I'm sorry dear.
Syd: It's not your fault, love... -sighs, resting his head on Calum's shoulder-
Calum: I am still sorry. I can't imagine how you're feeling.
Syd: Don't be sorry... -kisses Calum's forehead and then pulls away as Harold comes out-
Harold: -bites his lip, walking over to Calum and Syd, carrying his bag, plus another bag full of clothes and stuff, and then wheeling behind him a cello case- I'm ready.
Syd: Lets go then...
Calum: *Nods, beginds to lead the way*
Syd: -follows after, grabbing Calum's hand-
Harold: -silently follows them-
Calum: *Links his and Syd's fingers, feeling a little awkward with Harold there*
Syd: -looks back at Harold- Do you need me to carry anything?
Harold: -shakes his head, looking like a convict- ...
Syd: -stares ahead, remaining silent-
Harold: -fidgets awkwardly-
Syd: -steps in-
Harold: -follows Syd in-
Syd: Uhm... -thinks- Where should he sleep? -looks over to Calum-
Calum: Uhm...Do we have any spare rooms? If not, I could do some rearranging in the library. Put a futon in there.
Syd: Just Sadie's room...but...well...you know...he could also sleep on the couch...but, the futon is a good idea...we could move all the instruments into...hm...
Harold: -bites his lip, looking down, a bit ashamed-
Calum: We could move them to our room?
Syd: I suppose...it should be big enough.
Calum: Alright *Glances at Harold before going to starts rearranging things in the library and moving instruments*
Syd: -follows after Calum-
Harold: I can help...
Syd: No...go get comfortable, okay? -smiles-
Harold: Okay... -sits on the couch-
Calum: *Looks over the library, runs his hand through his hair* Alright, where to start?
Syd: Lets move the smaller ones first, and then after, we'll move the drum set...everything except the piano, because it won't fit through the stairs...
Calum: Alright *Starts gathering a couple of instruments and heads upstairs*
Syd: -grabs a guitar and his banjo and follows Calum-
Calum: *Steps in their room and looks around. Picks a vacant area to set the insturments down in*
Syd: -humming, placing them next to the others and heading back down-
Calum: *Starts to follow Syd, but instead head to dig the futon out of a closet*
Syd: -heads back down to the library, and then comes back, with an armful of various instruments and carefully setting them down next to the others-
Calum: *Yawns as he carries stugg behind Syd, his mind wandering*
Syd: -hums as he heads back down, kissing Calum's cheek on the way-
Calum: Hmm? *Blinks as he comes back to the real world. Looks lost since he forgot what he was doing*
Syd: -chuckles, heading back into the library and coming back, carrying a symbol and a snare under one arm and the kick snare under the other- I think all that's left is the base drum, love.
Calum: Alright... *Blinks* What do I do now?
Syd: Uhm...wait for me, I'll help you set up the futon. -places the parts in the bedroom and heads down for the bass drum-
Calum: Okay *Goes to drag the futon into the room*
Syd: -comes back down, bringing sheets and blankets-
Calum: *Has begun setting the futon up*
Syd: -sets the bedding down and wordlessly aids Calum, his tail swishing-
Calum: *Softly humms as he works*
Syd: -smiles, humming along-
Calum: *Looks over at Syd, smiles a little*
Syd: -looks at Calum and smiles back, kissing him lightly-
Calum: *Smile grows as he returns the kiss before pulling back*
Syd: -looks over the futon- There. -starts to spread the bedding on- Ouh...I forgot pillows. -hurries up to get them-
Calum: *Finishes spreading out the blanket*
Syd: -comes back in, placing the pillows on- That should do it. -grins-
Calum: *Nods in agreement* You want to go tell him it's ready?
Syd: Yeah... -yawns, going out into the living room and returning with Harold- Here it is.
Harold: ...Uhm...thanks. -smiles-
Syd: No problem...do you need anything?
Harold: No, thank you...
Syd: Right then...I suppose we'll leave you alone, then, it's getting late. -yawns again-
Calum: *Shoves his hands in his pockets* ..Help yourself to anything in the fridge if you get hungry *Turns and walks out of the room*
Syd: Goodnight... -waves and follows Calum out of the room, closing the door behind him-
Harold: Night... -sits on the bed, looking around-
Calum: *Turns to face Syd, tilts his head while biting back a yawn*
Syd: -sighs- Lets go to bed, love...
Calum: Alright... *Holds out a hand to Syd*
Syd: -smiles softly, taking Calum's hand-
Calum: *Squeezes Syd's hand before heading upstairs*
Syd: -yawns, letting Calum lead the way-
Calum: *When they reach their room, he released Syd's hand and flops face first onto the bed. Groans as he sags*
Syd: -flops right next to Calum, letting out a relieved sigh, nuzzling at the bed like it was a person- Ahh...~
Calum: I think I'm jealous.
Syd: Hm...? Why?
Calum: Where's my nuzzling?
Syd: Ouh, sorry, love. -flops on Calum a bit playfully and nuzzles him- You have to thank the bed sometimes...it does such a lovely job.
Calum: Yes well it can get it's own man. *Nuzzles back*
Syd: I bet it's getting shagged by at least three other beds when we're gone. That's why it's so sturdy, lots of experience. -kicks off his shoes and nuzzles more-
Calum: I hope it used protection *Yawns* We don't have room for more beds.
Syd: That's what the sheets are for... -rolls off of Calum and burrows into the blankets- Just think of it...night after night...we're sleeping in bed sperm.
Calum: ...EWw *Wrinkles his nose*
Syd: -snuggles in the blankets- Mmn, you ought to embrace it, love.
Calum: Why?
Syd: Because you've already slept in it...and, well, I figure you can't get any gayer. So why not? It's good for the skin. -rambling-
Calum: I can't get any gayer? *Raises a brow* Have I suddenly gained a lip, a sense of fashion, and a strong sense of femininity while I wasn't paying attention?
Syd: Maybe...I wasn't paying attention. -yawns and closes his eyes, mumbling- Plus...you don't have to be effeminate to be- -yawns- really gay. -nudges Calum with his tail, rolling over and nuzzling his pillow-
Calum: Mmph *Now paranoid*
Syd: -smirks sleepily, reching behind him and grabbing Calum's arm, and wrapping it around himself- Goodnight...
Calum: *Blinks, chuckles* Good night.
Syd: -smiles, turning around a bit awkwardly and kissing Calum-
Calum: *Nips at Syd, before nuzzling*
Syd: -purrs slightly, nuzzling at Calum's arm-
Calum: *Lets out a purring growl as he shifts to get comfy*
Syd: -sighs, turning around, deciding to face Calum, mumbles sleepily- Love you...
Calum: Love you too, despite your affair with the bed.
Syd: -chuckles- Come, now...don't you think we're equal with the bed? I mean...we have three ways with him all the time. -looks into Calum's eyes, smirking a bit deviantly-
Calum: Yes well.... got nothing. *Yawns*
Syd: -smirks and nuzzles at Calum-
Calum: *Nuzzles back* You're beautiful, you know that?
Syd: -purrs slightly- You are too, love...and we're going to have beautiful babies...and when we all walk around together, people won't be able to look at us, because we're all going to be so beautiful combined... -yawns-
Calum: *Chuckles as he blushes*
Syd: -laughs softly- We'll be like ******** vampires from Twilight, sparkling and s**t.
Calum: *Blinks* What? o.o
Syd: -cackles- They sparkle!
Calum: Vampires do?
Syd: No...I don't think so...but there's a stupid book series for stupid teenagers...vampires are beautiful and perfect and they sparkle in the sun.
Calum: .....And werewolves?
Syd: -shrugs- I don't know...only read the first chapter on a dare, it was terrible.
Calum: Huh.

Calum: *Raises a brow at Ishie and Squ*
Syd: -watches-
Calum: *Looks over at Syd, waves*
Syd: -waves back- Hullo.
Calum: *Walks over to Syd* How are you dear?
Syd: Uhm...nervous. -ear twitch-
Calum: Relax Syd. What happens, happens.
Syd: I know... -sighs, pulling out his cigs- I just hope everything goes well... -pulls one out and lights it- Luck...well, luck isn't my thing. -puffs on the cigarette and holds the box out for Calum, offering him one-
Calum: *Shakes his head, since he only smokes around the full moon* If we fail, we try again next time.
Syd: -stuffs them in his pocket and sighs- I know, I know... -ears drop slightly as he stares at the ground-
Calum: Perk up dear. *Holds out his arm to Squ* We've got out little friend back.
Syd: -smiles- Right...I should be happy... -blows out a plume of smoke-
Squ: -flies from Ishie's head to Calum's shoulder-
Calum: *Reaches up to pet Squ* ...How's Harold?
Squ: <3 -snuggles-
Syd: Oh...he's better...he seems happier. -shrugs- So...good, I guess.
Calum: *Smiles a little* That's good.
Syd: Yeah... -sighs and starts to look worried again-
Calum: ...Did I upset you Syd?
Syd: -ears perk slightly- No! I'm just...nervous again. -puffs on his cigarette more-
Calum: Ahhhh *Leans over and kisses Syd's cheek*
Syd: -smiles slightly, and leans into kiss Calum, but is inturrupted by Squ latching onto his face- D: She's molesting me!
Squ: -squeaks happily-
Calum: *Chuckles* Aww, she missed you.
Syd: -grumbles-
Squ: -climbs up onto Syd's head and curls up in his hair-
Syd: I wonder where she went...?
Calum: On a life changing journey to find herself?
Syd: Hm...I was thinking hibernation, but I like yours better.
Calum: It's much more romantic sounding then her getting fat and sleeping is all off.
Syd: ...-blinks- Maybe she had squirrel babies. -looks up at her, or at least as much as he can-
Squ: -sleeping- <3
Syd: -frowns and gets nervous again, twitching-
Calum: We'll now if a whole mob of them start flying out to latch onto your face.
Syd: -twitches- Great... -looks over to Calum- I never asked how you were...I'm sorry...how are you?
Calum: I'm alright *Smirks* Amused.
Syd: -frowns, crossing his arms and pouting a little-
Calum: *Blinks, coughs and shakes his head*
Syd: -frowns- I'm sorry love... -ears drop and starts to look worried again-
Calum: Relax Syd.
Hoyle: *spots Syd and waves* Hello! ^^ *wanders over and waves politely at Calum* How are you two? =3
Calum: *Blinks at Hoyle, waves*
Syd: I know...I just can't... -frowns, but smiles slightly when he sees Hoyle- Hullo. I'm fine...
Calum: *Tilts his head*
Hoyle: That's good. ^^ *at Calum* Oh, my name is Hoyle. 3nodding
Calum: ...Calum.
Hoyle: Nice to meet you Calum. ^^
Calum: Nice to meet you too.
Syd: -blinks- Sorry...how rude of me...I should've introduced you. -too busy fretting-
Calum: It's fine.
Hoyle: It's alright Syd. ^^ *at Calum* So are you enjoying Spring so far? =D
Calum: I suppose so. *Isn't sure what to make of Hoyle yet*
Syd: -stands there, twitching and biting his lip-
Calum: *Nudges Syd*
Hoyle: I'm enjoying it so far. ^^ I can't wait until it's warm enough to go swimming.
Syd: -jumps slightly- Sorry... -runs a hand through his hair and lights another cigarette-
Calum: That will be nice. *Wraps an arm around Syd*
Syd: -leans on Calum slightly, his hand shaking a bit-
Hoyle: *nods* Yep. ^^ *notices the arm wrapped around Syd* Ah, so this is your mate! You two look nice together. =D
Syd: -ears perk- Yeah, he is... -blushes- Thank you...
Calum: *Nods* ...You're a friend of Syd's? *Rubs Syd's back*
Syd: -relaxes a bit-
Hoyle: *nods* Mhm. I'm also a friend of Harold's. biggrin Harold and I have known each other for a while, since around December I believe.
Calum: How interesting... *Looks at Syd* Should I leave you to chat with your friend?
Syd: -frowns, wrapping an arm around Calum- No, love, stay.
Hoyle: *nods* Yeah, the more the merrier.

Calum sat on the couch, a cup of tea balancing on his knee as he read his book. Every now and then one of his ears would flick in time with his tail. His eyes roamed over the pages, taking in every word.
Syd sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he walked up the porch, his ears pinned back. A lit cigarette hung from his lips, though he wasn't really smoking it. His arm reached out and he opened the door, and he entered. Though normally he'd put the cigarette out before he came in, this time, it remained lit. He looked over to the couch, staring at Calum, before silently closing the door and walking over to him, and sitting down.
Calum finished before marking his page. He picked up his tea and set his book to the side before turning to face his husband. Tilting his head, he sent Syd a questioning gaze.
Syd looked over to Calum, in a very mournful manner, he'd looked like he'd just attended a funeral. His ears remained slumped back, and he sighed, not sure what to say.
"What's wrong?" asked Calum as his eyes filled with concern.
Syd sighed, puffing on his cigarette, "Nothing."
Calum frowned and just stared at Syd, not saying anything.
Syd sat completely still for a few moments, his only movement was his chest as he breathed. Soon, though, he twitched, the silence of the house irritating him. He let out a groan, and took a long drag from his cigarette.
At the groan, Calum raised a brow. "If you want to talk about what's bothering you Syd, I'm willing to listen."
Syd shook his head, "No." He mumbled. Though, really, he did want to talk, he just wasn't sure what he'd say.
"Alright..." Calum's ears drooped as he looked away. He traced a finger around the rim of the cup while chewing on the inside of his cheek.
Syd sighed, looking around rather anxiously. "I'm sorry, love...I'll stop bothering you..." He said, and stood up, heading for their bedroom.
Calum's ears drooped more as he stared after Syd. He sets his tea off to the side before standing to follow.
When Syd reached the bedroom, he snuffed out his cigarette and left it carelessly laying in an ashtray on his nightstand. Shuddered, curling up and burying his face in the pillows, whimpering softly.
Syd mumbled something into the pillow, and, sure enough, like on cue, a little sob escaped him, and he pressed his face more into the pillow, gripping it harder.
Calum scooted to Syd, reaching out to rub his back in an attempt to soothe.
Syd whimpered, scooting closer to Calum, "I'm sorry..."
"For what?" Calum leaned down to nuzzle at Syd. "You've done nothing wrong."
Syd shivered, biting his lip and closing his eyes, his tail wrapping around his own legs, "Because." He murmured, his voice shaking, "If you'd married someone nicer, you'd probably have kids by now..." Though his voice was overall, sad, it seemed to be a bit annoyed and angry as well.
"But I don't want to be married to anyone else...." Calum sighed. "We'll try again Syd."
Syd grumbled, "I don't want to try again...we'll just fail."
Calum's ears drooped again. He said nothing and hugged Syd.
Syd reached and awkwardly clung to Calum, "I'm sorry..."
"No, I'm sorry." Calum nuzzles at Syd as he clung.
Syd blinked, sniffling, "Why...?" His ears perked slightly, "It's not your fault..."
"It's not your fault either," mumbled Calum. "So if you can be sorry, so can I."
Syd sighed, nuzzling Calum and burying his face into his chest. His ears flattened down, and his whole demeanor became guarded. "Wull...Maybe...we just shouldn't have kits."
"You don't mean that..." Or at least Calum hoped he didn't. He was really looking forward to having kits with Syd one day.
Syd shook his head, "No...maybe we're just not meant to have kids, you know...?" He attempted to sound confident, like this hadn't bothered him as much as it really did. As much as he'd tried to prepare himself for failure, he'd failed, and now, well, now, he wasn't sure of what he should do.
Calum shakes his head. "We can't know that without trying again. It could just mean we weren't to have them now." He looked around the room.
Syd's ears perked for a second, but then pinned right back down, "I don't want any."
"You and I both know you don't really mean that Syd." Calum pulled back and climbed off the bed. He began to pace it.
Syd scowled, "I mean it." He watched as Calum paced, his ears twitching irritatedly. Silently, he reached over the edge of the bed, slowly grabbing a little velvet bag.
With his back to Syd, Calum scowled and stared out the window. His tail flicking in agitation.
Syd stuffed the bag into his coat, and quietly left the room, walking down the stairs and exiting the house.
When Calum turned to see Syd gone, he sighed and flopped down on the bed.
Syd angrily walked out a short ways from their house, and he pulled the bag out of his coat, carefully grabbing it's contents. Inside was his magnum, and a pack of bullets. He looked it over, finding that his affection for the thing was a strange one as he loaded it. He carefully aimed at a pile of dirt, and pulled the trigger, a loud bang echoing through the area.
At the sound of a gun shot, Calum shot upright in bed. His ears perked in alarm.
Syd sighed, rubbing his face as he waited a minute or so, keeping quiet, until his arms shot out, and he shot again and again, at rocks and trees, and whatever stationary thing he could find, really, until the bullets ran out. He let out a loud, angry cry and fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face.
Calum practically cowered on the bed as e listened to the gun shot he scrambled off the bed and hurried out to find Syd. Afraid of what he might find.
Syd had his tail wrapped around him, still on his knees. His head was in his hands, still clenching his gun. He shook, he hadn't been this angry since before he came to Namiah.
When he found Syd, Calum cautiously approached him. Reaching out to place a hand on Syd's shoulder.
Syd let out a sob as his shoulder was touched, and he looked up to Calum, "I'm sorry, love..." He muttered, choking on his words.
"It's fine..." Not sure what to do, Calum crouched down and hugged Syd. "It's fine..."
Syd twitched at Calum's words, shaking his head, "No, no...it's not...it's not fine." He mumbled. Namiah was not a place he wanted to be right now, he wanted to be in his old home, with the cold air and the rain and the noisey city all around him.
Calum remained silent and continued to hug Syd. Not able to think of anything to say.
Syd pulled away from Calum after he'd calmed down a bit. He sniffled, and wiped his eyes, "Let's go do something." He mumbled, looking at Calum through bloodshot eyes.
Startled by Syd's words, Calum blinked. "Like what?"
Syd shrugged, "Something distracting..." He looked down at his gun, his breath still choppy, "Let's get drunk or...whatever."
Not willing to get drunk, Calum raised a brow. "You can get drunk if you want."
Syd sighed, "We can do something else..." He bit his lip, placing the gun in it's bag.
Calum mulled it over in his head, trying to come up with something. "...Want to watch a movie and pig out on snacks?"
Syd thought about it, and shrugged, "Sure..." It was definitely more productive than his idea.
Calum pushed to his feet and held out a hand to Syd. "Lets head inside then."
Syd grabbed Calum's hand and pulled himself up, sniffling and staring at the ground, his ears flopping over disappointedly.
Frowning, Calum squeezed Syd's hand and begins walking back to the house.
Syd whimpered, hesitantly following Calum, for some reason not wanting to go inside.
Calum's ears wildly flicked as they stepped onto the porch. He released Syd's hand as pushed open the door and headed straight to the kitchen.
Syd stopped when he stepped inside, his ears pinning back. He sighed, going up stairs to put the magnum away.
Calum shuffled bags of chips and candy to the living room, placing them on the table. He then disappeared into the kitchen again.
Syd came back down, staring at the chips and the candy. His ears twitched, and his tail swished about, finding it slightly amusing.
Digging in the freezer, Calum pulled out a thing of Black Cherry ice cream. He figured if girls could eat ice cream when down, so could men. Closing the freezer, he grabbed some spoons and headed back to the living room.
Syd sighed, flopping down on the couch and staring at all the food, smirking very slightly. It was like a slumber party, but instead of a bunch of annoying little girls, it was an annoying British guy and his husband.
"Here." Calum handed the ice cream and spoons over before shuffling to dig through the movies. "Something happy... How about Wall-E?"
Syd stared at the ice cream and spoons, his ears perking, "Sure..." He pried open the ice cream and stuck his spoon into it, taking out a rather large scoop and plopping it into his mouth whole.
Calum took his spoon and scooped some ice creamed. He put it in his mouth and held the spoon there as he let it melt. Shifting, he leaned against Syd.
Syd sighed, taking another bite of ice cream, his ears slowly starting to perk up.
Feeling the need to change things up a bit, Calum scooped up more ice cream and stuck a couple pieces of candy in it.
-fast forward, yo-
Syd had laid down, so that his head was in Calum's lap, and his legs were draped over the edge of the couch. His ears dropped at the scene the movie was on. He frowned, shoving a handful of candy in his mouth.
Calum played with Syd's hair, feeling a little weird watching all the fat people as he stuffs his face with chips.
Syd's tail flicked, and he nuzzled at Calum's legs after he swallowed his candy. He then reached over, grabbing some chips and stuffing them in his face along with Calum.
Calum groaned. "Can't eat anymore." H esagged against the couch.
"If I explode, I want all my books buried with my chunks." Claum groaned again as he closed his eyes.
Syd frowned, "Don't explode..." He mumbled, sadly looking up at Calum.
"No guarantees," mumbles Calum. He blindly patted at Syd's cheek, then stretched.
Syd sighed, blinking as his cheek was patted. Now that the movies was over, his ears pinned back again, and he closed his eyes, the silence of the house was getting to him again.
"Should we watch another movie?" Feeling to lazy to move, Calum peeked open one eye.
Syd shrugged, "If you want to..." He looked over to the TV, and sighed.
Calum shook his head. "It's up to you."
Syd flopped, "I don't know..."
Frowning, Calum closed his eye again and sighed. He rested his hand on Syd's head.
Syd sighed, "Let's just sit here..." He mumbled, placing his hand on Calum's.
Syd sat up, and leaned over, lightly kissed Calum's cheek.
Calum's ears perked, and his eyes slowly slid open. He blinked and stared at Syd.
Syd looked stared back at Calum, looking deep into the other male's eyes. His ears drooped, "I'm sorry...I overreacted earlier..."
Calum opened his mouth, then closed it again. He shook his head, then leaned forward to softly kiss Syd.
Syd blinked as he was kissed, and he gently returned it. He pulled Calum into a hug, and nuzzled at him.
Calum returned nuzzling while hugging Syd close.
Syd sighed, "I didn't mean what I said...about not wanting any..."
Raising a brow, Calum said, "You honestly think I don't know you well enough by now to already know that?"
Syd frowned, "I know..." He sighed, "I just...wanted to make sure."
Calum patted Syd on the side. "Alright."
"I don't want to make you mad..." He said, pulling himself closer to Calum, his ears flicking around, "I'm sorry..."
Calum kissed Syd's forehead. "It's fine dear, we're fine now."
He frowned, "I'm just...angry..." Syd's ear flicked, "We deserved it more than some of the others...it doesn't make sense..."
Syd's ears dropped, and he scowled, "I bet most of them weren't even together for a month." He pushed away from Calum in order to look at him, "And what if the time never comes?"
Calum's expression was one of confidence as he said, "It will."
Syd's ears dropped farther, "Right...it has to..." Still, he didn't sound too confident at all.
Calum sighed, not sure what else he could do or say.
Syd sighed, looking a bit paranoid. He still couldn't help feeling that it had been his fault, even though it had been completely random. He frowned, and ran a hand through his hair, "Right...next time..." His ears flicked as he muttered to himself.
Calum plucked up a piece of candy and held it out to Syd.
Syd blinked, looking at the piece of candy with a raised brow.
"Eat it." Calum waved the candy about in front of Syd's mouth.
Syd stared, and then opened his mouth, his tail swishing expectantly.
Calum smiled, then popped the candy into Syd's mouth.
Syd closed his mouth around the candy and sighed, sitting back and sucking on it. He was still irritated, but, like a little kid, was oddly calmed by the candy.
Satisfied, Calum popped a piece of candy into his own mouth and sat back.
Syd stretched slightly, wrapping an arm around Calum. Slowly, he smirked, "I guess...this is okay...with no kids..." He said, still a bit disappointed, "Because we can, you know." He waggled his eyebrows, and nudged Calum slightly.
Calum blinked, then laughed. He nudged Syd back. "Pervert."
Syd laughed slightly, "I'm not a pervert..." He said, "You are, making dirty assumptions." He shook his head, sighing.
Calum rolled his eyes. "Only because you corrupted my mind."
"I've corrupted no one's mind!" He said, pretending to be offended and crossing his arms.
"You keep telling yourself that my dear." Calum yawned and stretched.
Syd's ears perked, "Tired?"
"A little." Calum rubbed at his stomach, still feeling rather full.
Syd blinked, "Alright..." He sighed, leaning on his arm while staring at the wall. His ears dropped; with nothing to distract him, his feelings bubbled back up, giving him a stomach ache.
Calum sighed and nuzzled at Syd.
Syd returned the nuzzling, and kissed Calum's cheek. He sighed, looking at Calum and smiling slightly, "I'm a sore loser."
"I've noticed." Calum brushed a kiss over Syd's cheek. "But we'll win yet."
Syd's smile turned into a sheepish one, and then he let out a groan, "I don't want to wait."
"Patience is a virtue." Calum play bit Syd's ear. "And I'll entertain you while we wait."
Syd's ears perked, and he smirked at the bite. "Oh?"
Calum nodded. "What kind of husband would I be if I didn't give you something to preoccupy your mind with?"
"Well, it depends on the something, right?" He asked, eyeing Calum a bit playfully.
Calum leaned forward and whispered things not meant for children, then pulled back and winked.
Syd smirked, "Well, if you denied your poor husband something like that, well, that would be a shame, wouldn't it?"
"Indeed it would." Calum nods with a serious face.
Syd scoffed, playfully, of course. "Well, what are you waiting for?"
Calum rolled his eyes and stood, then began to head upstairs. "The real question is, what are you waiting for?"
Syd smirked, and stood up, hurrying after Calum.

Hoyle: *wanders into the clearing with Jarek*
Jarek: *looks around*
Harold: -leads Syd and Calum out to the clearing-
Syd: -happily follows Harold-
Calum: *Follows, hands shoved in his pockets*
Hoyle: *waves* Hello Harold! =D
Jarek: *waves too*
Harold: -waves- Hallo.
Syd: -also waves-
Calum: *Ears flick as he feels awkward, waves and just kind of tries to hang in the background*
Hoyle: How're you? ^^ Oh, this is Jarek. =)
Jarek: Hello. *waves again, a bit shy at the moment from all the unfamiliar faces but otherwise okay*
Harold: I'm good...
Syd: I'm alright. -blinks, waving at Jarek- Hello~ -looks back at Calum, grinning-
Calum: *Tilts his head and eyes Jarek, flicks an ear* Hello.
Hoyle: That's good Harold. ^^ *smiles at Jarek and says* This is Syd, and this is Calum. They're going to be your parents. =)
Jarek: Oh, nice to meet you. ^^ *wonders what to do since he really doesn't know much about parent child relationship dynamics yet*
Harold: -stands back and watches them-
Syd: -smiles crookedly- Yeah, you too.
Calum: *Resists urge to fidget* Yeah, nice to meet you too *Tail flicks nervously*
Hoyle: *also stands back and watches*
Jarek: *wanders up to them, then wags his tail a couple times in a playful manner* So do you want to play a game? *thinks* Or not now?
Syd: Uhm... -looks back at Calum, and then grins at Jarek- Sure.
Calum: *Ears perk a little at the mention of a game*
Jarek: *smiles* So do you want to play tag or hide and go seek? ^^
Syd: Hmm... -looks over to Calum- Which one?
Calum: Uhhh *Ears flick wildly* Hide and seek?
Jarek: Okay! ^^ So who's it? *tilts his head*
Syd: I'll be it. -tail swish-
Calum: *Blinks* What are you counting to?
Jarek: Um....30!
Syd: Alright. -turns around and closes his eyes- One...two...three...four...five...six...
Jarek: *smiles and runs off to find a hiding place*
Syd: Seven...eight...nine...ten...eleven...twelve...thirteen...
Calum: *Looks around, frowns since to him, there's not much of a hiding choice. Picks a random tree to hide behind.*
Jarek: *finds a nice little place to hide in a bush* >3
Syd: Fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty fooooour, twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven, twentyeightwentyninethirty! Ready or not, here I come!
Calum: *Feels like an idiot hiding behind the tree*
Jarek: *relatively nice and cozy in the bush, avoiding the pokey branches as best as he can*
Syd: Hmm... -hums slightly as he walks around, looking- ... -snrks as he pretends not to see Calum-
Calum: *Twitch, fidgets*
Jarek: *feels like an almighty hider...and hopes that they find him before it gets too too dark*
Syd: D: -has no idea where Jarek is- Hm...
Calum: *Wonders if Syd's just pretending to not have seen him* ... *Attempts to quietly sneak off to a different tree farther away. Moving about ninja style*
Jarek: *just chilling, and keeping an eye out for either of his new parents*
Syd: -turns around as he hears something moving, but doesn't see anything, so starts backing up slowly. Runs into a bush and pretty much falls over, right next to Jarek- ... -blinks- Ouh, hullo.
Jarek: *laughs* Hello. xD *glad Syd didn't fall on him* You alright?
Syd: I'm fine... -frowns- Are you okay?
Jarek: *nods* Yep. =3 *wanders out of the bush avoiding the scratchy branches*
Calum: *Stops in his tracks, looks back* ... *Wanders over to make sure everyone is alright while biting back a laugh*
Syd: -gets up and dusts himself off- Well that didn't last long.
Jarek: So who got spotted first? They're it next. =) *thinks hide and go seek has at least 1 round per person*
Calum: *Blinks, glowers and edges away*
Jarek: *looks between the two* ...? So am I it? *thinks that Calum might not want to be it*
Syd: -frowns, and then nods- Yup~
Calum: *Blinks again* o.o; *Shrugs, resisting the urge to flail since he doesn't want to hide behind a tree again. And only picking this game because Syd's always tripping when they run around...though this game apparently didn't stop that from happening anyways*
Jarek: Okay. ^^ *sees Calum's expression and pokes him* Are you okay?
Calum: Err, I'm fine *Holds up his hand and looks sheepish* ^^;
Jarek: Okay. =D I'm gonna go count now. *puts his paws up against a tree and buries his face in them* One...two....three...
Calum: *Looks around for a place to hide, eying all the trees with disdain. Figures it wouldn't be fair if he tried and climbed one. Walks off and tries to find a decent hiding place this time*
Syd: -spaces out for a few minutes until he realizes Jarek is counting, so hurries off, looking for a hiding place-
Jarek: ...four....five...six...seven...eight....nine...ten... *continues counting*
Calum: *Sighs, hides behind another tree since he's not creative enough to find a hiding spot beside that xD*
Syd: -swishes his tail as he finds a rock big enough to crouch behind, and hides behind it-
Jarek: ...25...26...27...28...29...30! Ready or not, here I come. =D *gets off the tree and looks around* Hmmm...
Calum: *Tries to shrink against the tree he's hiding behind*
Syd: -flattens down his ears and pulls his tail in, making sure he's as low to the ground as he can get-
Jarek: *wanders around, looking up in the trees just in case one of them hid up there*
Calum: *Jaws theme plays in his head xD*
Jarek: *sees a squirrel up in the tree and follows it with his sight as he moves forward* ... *walks into a tree* O_O *blushes a little bit and moves on with a 'that never happened' expression on his face*
Calum: *Ears perk when he hears something bump into something* ... *Peeks out*
Jarek: *blinks when Calum peeks out* ...I found you. xD
Syd: -peeks out from the rock, and then laughs- Hah!
Calum: ... *Ears pin back as he pouts*
Jarek: *restrains laughter at Syd* And I found you too. =)
Syd: -frowns- Aw...
Calum: *Smirks*
Jarek: One more round? =) *looks up with a hopeful expression on his face*
Syd: -sighs and climbs back up, brushing himself off- Sure... -smirks at Calum- You're it, love.
Calum: *Shrugs* Alright.
Jarek: *smiles and starts thinking of his next hiding place*
Calum: *Leans against the tree and begins counting* One, two, three, four....
Jarek: *heads off, and goes to track down a log if he can find one*
Syd: -looks around, shrugs, and heads behind the tree that Calum's leaning on-
Calum: 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.... *Flicks his ears since he can hear Syd's breathing*
Syd: -bites his lip, trying to resists laughter-
Jarek: *ears perk one when he finds one and heads inside of it* =D *hopes that no one sends the log rolling down something*
Calum: 26, 27, 28, 29...30! *Opens his eyes, then just stares at the tree. Like he's trying to see whose on the other side. Shakes his head and rolls his eyes before moving off to seek out Jarek. Sniffing at the air every now and then to try and find his scent*
Syd: -convinced that he's picked the best hiding place ever, so just sits there and waits-
Jarek: *thinks he has the most awesomest hiding place in the world* ^^
Calum: *Smirks when he picks up Jarek's scent, follows it as his tail flicks*
Jarek: *doesn't know that his scent has been picked up*
Syd: -hums slightly-
Calum: *When he comes upon the log, he searches the bushes around it, and peeks behind the trees. Shrugs when he doesn't find Jarek, then knocks on the log*
Jarek: *hears a knock on the log and laughs a little* ^^ *knows he's found*
Syd: -listens closely, wondering whats going on-
Jarek: *waves back* Hello. =D *starts wandering out of the log*
Calum: Hello *Looks in the direction of the tree* You can come out now dear.
Syd: Aw... -steps out from the tree-
Calum: *Snorts and smirks*
Syd: -smiles sheepishly and walks over to Calum and Jarek- What now?
Calum: I don't know *Feels a little awkward again, and tired. Plops down on the ground*
Jarek: So where do you two live? *thinks that since Sara gave the okay to let him live there if they wanted him to that that could be the next activity*
Calum: In a meadow not far from here.
Syd: -smiles and looks over at Calum- Should we go show him?
Jarek: *smiles as he waits*
Calum: *Nods*
Syd: Alright. -turns to lead them off- Come along~
Jarek: Okay. =D *follows Calum and Syd there*

Calum sat on the railing his and Syd's home's porch, staring out at the field. His normal dress shirt was traded in for a dark blue sweater that was two sizes to big for him and hung off his frame in a deceptive manner, giving the illurion of him being small and frail. In the back of his mind, he wondered how long it would be before the sunflowers were back. But his main thoughts revolved around, "Why was he up this early?" and "Where the hell was his husband?"
Syd shivered, hugging his arms around himself. He walked through the forest, nervously looking around. He smelled smokier than usual, and his chin was rougher than it had been in a while. His hair was messy and tangled, and probably had a few sticks stuck in it. His bit his lip to keep his teeth from chattering too loudy, and he rubbed at his face, slightly smearing a few of the explicit doodles on his cheek. He twitched as he stumbled out into the field, almost falling over a log.
Calum tensed when he saw a shadowed figure stumble into the meadow, his ears pinning back in a wary manner as his senses went on high alert.
Syd peered at through the darkness, slowing as he barely made out the figure sitting on his porch. He took a deep breath, and headed toward the porch, his ears flicking wildly as he made his way up the stairs.
Upon recognizing Syd, Calum's ees narrowed and flashed with temper. "Where have you been?"
Syd blinked, his ears drooping as he backed away. "I don't know..." He frowned, "I just woke up...and I was outside.."
Calum continued to glare at Syd, but then concern managed to force his temper to the side...for now anyways. He dropped off the railing and landed in a crouch. When he righted himself, he began walking towards Syd. "Are you getting sick?"
Syd shook his head, backing away as Calum got closer. "No..."
Calum stopped and frowned when Syd backed away. "What's wrong?"
Syd stopped, realizing that his peculiar behavior was matching the peculiar thoughts going through his head, and those were something he'd rather keep to himself. His ear flicked, "Nothing. I'm fine."
"Then why were you backing away from me?" asked Calum with irritation coating his voice. But the irritation quickly vanished to be replaced with worry. 'Had he done something to scare Syd again?'
Syd smiled, "No reason. I'm just tired." He said, though despite the dirt on his clothes and the bags under his eyes, he actually felt more rested then he had in a while. "Hello, love, how are you?"
"I'm fine..." Calum wanted to press the matter, but figured he would get no where at the moment. "Lets get you inside."
Syd nodded, and started to speak, but sneezed, and then decided to just shut up. His whole demeanor was strangely nervous and twitchy, his ears and tail flicked about every once and a while, and his eyes darted around like a criminal's.
Calum frowned, then gestured to the house. "Why do you look so paranoid?"
Syd twitched, "I always look paranoid." He said, stepping inside, sighing and seeming to calm slightly as he was embraced by the warmth of the house.
Calum followed Syd into the house, frowning. "Well then you look more so."
Syd shook his head, "I'm fine..." He muttered, flopping on the couch.
Calum debated pressing more, then just shook his head. He ran a hand through his hair. "Do you need anything to eat or drink?"
Syd shook his head and covered up his face with his arm. "No." He mumbled underneath the pillow. Really, he was starving, but now, he couldn't be too safe.
"Alright..." Not quite sure what to do, Calum awkwardly stood there. He could try and force what was wrong out of Syd, but that could result in a fight. And that wouldn't be fair to the still sleeping Jarek.
Syd moved his arm, and peeked open one eye, "I'm gonna take a shower." He muttered, and sat up, looking up at Calum. His ear flicked questioningly, "Whats wrong, love?"
"Hmm?" Calum looked as though he had snapped back to reality and stared at Syd. "Nothing." He looked over Syd, a shower would probably do him some good. "You got some sticks in your hair..."
Syd chuckled nervously, "I noticed..." He smiled, though it was obviously fake one. "So...that's why I need a shower." And with that, he simply walked off, quietly and nervously.
Calum stared after Syd, waiting until he was out of sight before sagging in a tired manner. To tired to even get excited over an image of a wet and soapy Syd.
Syd sighed as he peered at the drawings on his face, and rubbed at them, wishing he remembered what happened. He sighed, sadly and got undressed, quietly stepping into the shower.
A while after, Syd stepped out of the shower, clean and fresh. After tiptoeing to the bedroom and changing into some pajamas, he came downstairs, plopping next to Calum.
Calum blinked, his ears dropping. He shifted away from Syd. "You're mad at me."
Syd bit his lip, "No...I'm not mad at you..."
"Then why won't you let me touch you?" Calum scooted to the other side of the couch. "...Do I disgust you?"
Syd twitched, "I'm not disgusted..." He whimpered slightly, his ears drooping. "You should be disgusted with me..."
"I have no reason to be disgusted with you." Calum looked over at Syd in confusion. "Why would you say something like that?"
"Someone told me that you were..." He mumbled, feeling ashamed to admit it.
Calum scowled, his mind instantly thinking of the resident ghost girl. "They're wrong."
Syd shook his head, sniffling, "It has to be..." He mumbled, "I'm a disgusting person."
"You are not!" Instinctively, Calum reached out for Syd. Wishing to comfort his mate.
Syd shied away from Calum's arms, his tail protectively curling around him. He shook his head, "I can't trust you..."
At those words, it was like a wall had slammed down and Calum's face went blank. Much like how he was when he first met Syd. But on the inside, he was shattering into hundreds of pieces. He drew back to himself. "It was to good to last I suppose, something like me isn't meant to be trusted." He pushed to his feet. "Do you want me to leave then?"
Syd's ears dropped farther. "No, I don't want to leave you...you're the one that's supposed to leave me!"
"Why would I want to leave you?" Calum raised a brow. "I have no problems with you."http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/posting.php?mode=edit&p=184700601
Syd looked over to Calum sadly, "'Cause you're...you're having an affair..."
"An affair?!" Calum looked flabberghasted. "Who am I having an affair with?!"
"I don't know!" He said, his voice shaking, "I just heard you were!"
"From who?!" roared Calum, his ears pinned back. He began to pace as his anger rolled out in waves. "In case you haven't noticed, I don't leave the house enough to have a stinking affair with anyone!"
Syd blinked, sniffling, "You aren't?" He started to look panicked, "But, I'm gone a lot! They could come over!"
Calum glared and hissed out, "Do you think I'm going to have an affair with a child in the house?!"
Syd shook his head, "But...you could've been doing it before Jarek came around..."
"Before that your cousin was here." Calum crossed his arms. "And he's not my type."
"No...before that..." He said, twitching.
Sighing, Calum shook his head. "I have not cheated on you."
Syd's ears perked slightly, "Does that mean you won't slip arsenic into my coffee so I can die and you and your lover can live happily together, without me in the way?"
"Why would I do that?" Calum dropped to the ground and looked exhausted. "I love you."
Syd's ears dropped again, "But one of the humans...a long time ago they said you were having a secret affair with Kevin..." He mumbled, his voice very quiet and confused.
"With Kevin? Ryo's wife?!" Calum slapped his forehead. "We don't even like each other."
Syd scoffed, "Wife? Ugh. Gender roles, much." Syd's voice turned into the stereotypical gay tone for a moment, but then quickly went back to his bored, British drawl. "You're sure you aren't...?"
"I think I'd be rather sure if I was banging another guy," grumbled Calum while looking sour.
Syd frowned, slumping, "I'm sorry, love..."
"You should be." Calum tapped his foot as he stared at Syd. "Why would you trust a human's word before you'd trust me?"
Syd shook his head, "That's not who told me..." He looked down, ashamed to the extreme. He sniffled, a little tear rolling down his face, "I don't know whats wrong with me..."
"Who told you then?" Calum clenched his hand in a fist, fighting the urge to go and try to comfort Syd.
Syd looked around, "I can't tell you...she said she'd hurt me..."
Calum's eyes narrowed, he pushed to his feet and walked over to Syd.
Syd looked up at Calum, cowering slightly.
Calum stared down at Syd, then dropped down on to the couch beside him. Then, he reached out hug Syd.
Syd whimpered, leaning into the hug, "I'm sorry..."
Calum hugged Syd close and rocked him. "...It's fine."
Syd clung to Calum, pulling himself even closer, "I'm such an idiot..."
"Yes, you are." Calum kissed Syd's cheek and rubbed his back. "But you're my idiot, and I love you. Even if you don't trust me."
Syd nuzzled at Calum, "I do trust you..." He frowned, "But she's scary and makes me think terrible things..."
Calum combs his fingers through Syd's hair. "She pisses me off."
Syd sighed, "I don't think we'll be getting rid of her anytime soon, though.." He closed his eyes and pressed his forehead against Calum's. "Don't let her drive you away, please..."
Calum leaned into to lightly kiss Syd. "I'm not going anywhere."
Syd returned the kiss, and nuzzled at Calum, "Good..."
"Would you like something to eat now?" murmured Calum as he rubbed his nose against Syd's.
Syd smiled sheepishly, "Yes please..." He mumbled.
Calum kissed Syd's cheek then pulled back. "What would you like?"
Syd shrugged, "Anything..." He muttered. "Surprise me..."
Pushing to his feet, Calum headed into the kitchen. He called over his shoulder, "I'd offer you a phallic cookie, but I'm afraid that we're fresh out."
Syd chuckled, laying on the couch. "Calum! There's a child in the house!"
"And he's sleeping." Calum peeked his head out, biting back a grin as he held a finger to his lips. "So shhhh." Disappears into the kitchen again.
Syd smirked, and curled up on the couch, sighing and closing his eyes.
A few minutes later, Calum came out with a bagel and some jam. "How's this?"
Syd looked, and sprang up, instantly snatching the bagel up and taking a large bite out of it, his stomach rumbling.
Calum blinked, stunned. He held out the jam while staring with wide eyes
Syd looked up, and be blushed, chewing slower. "Sorry..." He mumbled, after swallowing. "I haven't eaten for a while..."
Calum frowned. "Do you want more?"
Syd nodded, slowly, "Yus please."

Syd sighed, sitting partially submerged in warm water and suds. His knees, looking as bony and sickly as usual, stuck awkwardly up out of the water like two white towers, speckled with little black hairs. He was too tall to have been flopped out in the tub, but he still some how managed to do it. His face was in the water until just below his nose, and he peered over the bubbles rather furtively, stewing in his thoughts. An arm was draped over the side, and next to it was an ashtray. He carefully held a cigarette between two fingers, occasionally lifting it to his lips and inhaling carefully, making sure not to get it wet. He looked up, and stared at the steam and smoke encircling each other. Breathing in, he smelled bubble bath and steam and smoke in one thick and wet combination.
Downstairs, Calum paced the living room. He felt like she should be doing something, but couldn't recall what. He stopped in the center of the room and looked around. "Maybe I should clean a little..." He sighed and sagged a little. Truthfully, he hated cleaning and was very much a slob.
Syd's ears dropped in disappointment and he let out a little whimper as he accidentally dropped his cigarette into the water. He stuck in hand in, and sloshed around as he tried to fish it out. Once he had retrieved it, he plopped it in the ashtray and decided that his bath was no longer relaxing. He stood up, stretching, and stepped out, drying off and slinging a towel around his waist.
Despite his dislike for the activity, Calum began cleaning. Polishing the furniture and cleaning the windows. His nose wrinkled in protest as it was assaulted by a barrage of smells that made it burn. As he cleaned, his mind wandered to varying subjects: his friends, Sadie, Syd...
Syd shivered and he hurried over to the bedroom after letting the tub drain and throwing out the ashes. He quickly got dressed up to his waist, and then slid on a shirt with a rather adult message printed across it. His ear flicked at the smells drifting up from downstairs, and, cinching up his belt, he walked downstairs and stared at Calum, or, actually, his a**, while he cleaned.
Unaware of Syd's presence, Calum continued to clean. His hands felt like hey were beginning to burn, perhaps he was allergice and didn't remember? He paused...no no, he wasn't allergic to Windex and Pinesol. He'd used them safely before. Sat back on his feet and stared at his hands.
Syd frowned, his brow furrowing in concern, "You sure? They don't look good..." He held out his hands for Calum's, "Didn't you use gloves?"
"Gloves?" Calum blinked, not having realized one is supposed to use gloves when dealing with cleaning chemicals. He laid his on Syd's, palms facing up. As he did so, he looked a bit like a clueless child.
Syd nodded, laughing slightly, "That's what they're for." He muttered, looking over Calum's hands. "Do they hurt?"
"They burn a little." Calum flexed his fingers and wiggled them. "But it's going away...how was your bath?"
"You should wash them...I can finish cleaning." Syd shrugged, "I was decent, I suppose..." He smirked, and nudged him slightly, "You should've joined me. "
Calum rolled his eyes as he got to his feet and headed into the kitchen. "There's not enough room in that tub for two grown men...and don't bother with the cleaning." He turned on the faucet and began to clean his hands. "I was only cleaning because I didn't have anything better to do."
Syd chuckled as he followed Calum, "Exactly...we'd have to pile up on each other." He leaned against the counter and watched Calum, "Good, I didn't want to clean anyways."
Once he had finished drying his hands Calum reached over to tug Syd between himself and the counter. "Pervert."
Syd smirked, and stared directly into Calum's eyes, "Well, excuse me, love, it's not my fault that my husband utterly tainted my mind."
Syd nodded, "Most definitely." He reached around and grabbed Calum's rear end, "Though, I think it's because your a** is so perfect...~"
Red worked it way into Calum's cheeks as his eyes widened a little. No matter how much Syd did that, it still surprised him. "It's not perfect," he muttered.
Syd smirked at the blush, and squeezed it, "In your opinion, maybe." He leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek, "But you've got the prettiest a** I've seen in ages."
Calum rolled his eyes and leaned against Syd. "Should I give you and my a** some alone time?"
Syd wrapped his arms around Calum's waist. "Only if you join in."
Calum chuckled and nibbles along Syd's neck. "I suppose I could be persuaded to stay."
Syd leaned his head to the side, allowing more access for Calum, "How lucky for me..." He muttered, pulling Calum closer, "Then, how so, my love, may you be persuaded?"
Calum lightly scrapes his teeth over Syd's neck and allowed himself to be pulled closer. "Use your imagination dear."
Syd put on a fake pout, "But I don't wanna..." He said, shivering as he felt Calum's teeth.
Calum gave one final n** before pulling back. "Oh well then..."
Syd frowned, and his ears flopped. Tightening his grip around Calum's waist, he pressed his lips against Calum's in a rather passionate manner.
A purring growl rumbled in Calum's chest as he returned the kiss. His lips forming a smirk as he wound his arms around Syd's neck.
Syd grinned at the growl, and he pulled away, kissing along Calum's jawline and down to his neck. He nuzzled him and chose a spot on his neck to lightly suckle at.
Calum tilted his head to give better access to his neck to Syd as his fingers danced down to work on taking off Syd's shirt.
censor~
Syd smiled in a satisfied manner, sitting on the floor with his back against the side of the counter. He stretched out his arms and let out a yawn, his tail curling around itself.
Calum laid stretched out on the floor, his head resting on one of Syd's legs. His tail lazily wagged and his whole body felt deliciously relaxed.
Syd looked over to Calum, his tail starting to thump against the floor. He sighed in a lovesick manner as he gazed over Calum. "I love you..."
"I love you too," murmured Calum as he rolled over to smile up at Syd. He adjusted his glasses and fought against the desire to not move any time soon.
Syd leaned over and lightly kissed Calum on the forehead, smiling down at him lovingly. He then flopped down, in a way that wouldn't disturb Calum's head, and closed his eyes, his tail curling around him.
"We're naked and falling asleep on the kitchen floor," mumbled Calum. His eyes slid closed as he finished, "Shouldn't we move?"
Syd mumbled, "I wouldn't worry, love." He said, nuzzling at the floor. "If Jarek walks in...oh, well...he's an adult. He can handle it."
"It'd still be pretty scarring though." Calum stretched lazily then scratches his head.
Syd smirked, looking over to Calum, "Two sexy beasts as ourselves? Scarring? No..." He yawned, "Though the bed sounds much nicer than the kitchen floor."
Calum thrust a finger into the air, "It doesn't matter how sexy the parents are if their kid is seeing them naked, it's still scarring." His hand dropped back down. With a groan, he rolled to his knees and stretched.
Syd sighed, "Fine, fine." He yawned, and slowly stood up, gathering up his clothes. He then held out a hand for Calum.
Deciding that he'd just get his clothes later, Calum took Syd's hand and climbed to his feet.
Syd stared at Calum's clothes and decided that, as strange as one pair of clothes would be on the floor, only one pair didn't seem right. So, he tossed his on the floor, and, still holding Calum's hand, walked off to their bedroom.
Calum chuckled and shooked his head as he was lead to the bedroom. He flopped onto the bed and just laid there.
Syd slinked over to the bed, and buried his face in the pillow. After a few moments, though, he looked over to Calum, his ears flopping as something crossed his mind.
Nuzzling into the bed, Calum sighed and relaxed. He flecked his fingers, glad that they were no longer burning. Feeling Syd's stare, he looked over at Syd and tilted his head.
Syd bit his lip, his ear flicking, "You know...we lost again..." He muttered, burying his face in his pillow.
Calum closed his eyes and sighed. "Then we'll try again next time."
Syd nodded slightly, "Yeah..." He frowned and closed his eyes, "It's irritating."
"I know." Calum crawled over to Syd and kissed his way along Syd's spine. "But it'll take time, and we may fail again. But one day, we will succeed." When he reached the top, he nuzzled at Syd's neck. "And it'll be worth it."
Syd shivered and his cheeks turned a light pink. "You're not just saying that, right? You do want kids, don't you...?"
"If I didn't want kids," Calum laid so the he was almost half on top of Syd and continues to nuzzle, "then I would've told you so."
Syd smiled, his tail flopping over Calum's legs, "Good..." He nuzzled at his pillow, "I don't mind so much this time...Kranky said that we'd get more next time around anyways." His ears twitched, "But I don't want too many..."
"Not enough." Calum yawned and nuzzled closer. "I want a mountain of diapers in our back yard."
Syd smirked, "What about the smell? And with all those babies...how would we get any sleep." He panicked slightly, "Or have sex?!"

Calum: *Curled up in bed, his hair peeking out from under the covers*
Syd: -is in the bathroom, attempting to cut his own hair-
Calum: *Rolls over and wonders where Syd is. Snuggles into Syd's side of the bed, taking in Syd's scent and wondering why he's suddenly feeling needy*
Syd: -stares in the mirror, resisting the urge to scream. Puts down the scissors and walks back to their bedroom, flopping down next to Calum and hoping he won't notice that he's hacked up his bangs and made one side shorter than the other-
Calum: *Doesn't even peek out from under the blanket, he just automatically shifts to curl against Syd* What were you doing?
Syd: Erm...nothing. Just shaving. -wraps an arm around Calum-
Calum: *Nuzzles Syd's chest and sighs* You don't sound so sure of that
Syd: -rubs his stubble- Nope, I was shaving. I promise. -kisses Calum- Have a nice nap?
Calum: *Shakes his head* I couldn't really sleep *Finally peeks out of the blanket, but since he's not wearing his glasses, all he can see is Syd's face as a blur*
Syd: Ah...well...that's too bad...you want your glasses?
Calum: ....Do I need them? *Squints his eyes at Syd* You change something?
Syd: ...No! -hides his head under the covers- I didn't change anything...!
Calum: .... *Sits up and reaches over Syd to fumble at his own nighstand for his glasses*
Syd: -sighs and grabs the glasses, handing them to him. Still hides his face-
Calum: *Slips them on and peers down at Syd* ... *Tugs on the blanket*
Syd: -slowly peeks out of the blanket, his cheeks turning pink- ...
Calum: *Stares at Syd's bands* ... *Blinks*
Syd: -frowns and hides back under the blanket- I know, I ruined them..
Calum: Why didn't you ask for some help?
Syd: Because you were sleeping. -scoffs slightly- I look terrible, don't I...?
Calum: *Shakes his head, then nuzzles at Syd*
Syd: -frowns, and then returns the nuzzle-
Calum: I could help you fix them if you want?
Syd: -ears perk- Really? -grins slightly-
Calum: *Nods* If you want me to
Syd: Oh...well...then, would you? Even if you mess up, I'm sure it'd look better than this.
Calum: Alright *Runs a hand through his hair* Just let me find my shirt *Climbs out of the bed shirtless*
Syd: -stands up and walks over to the bathroom, staring at his hair in the mirror-
Calum: *Takes the scissors and grabs a comb* Alright *Uses the comb to try and separate the longer bangs before starting to cut*
Syd: -watches him in the mirror- When's the next full moon...?
Calum: *Pauses and tenses a little* I'm...not sure *Goes back to cutting*
Syd: Oh...alright... -twiddles his thumps-
Calum: ...Do I make you nervous?
Syd: Nervous...? No. Why?
Calum: You kind of seem like you are...
Syd: No...I just...I hope it's not too soon, I don't like being alone..
Calum: I think it's not for a while, so I think you're safe *Steps back* How's that look? *Did a somewhat fair job in his opinion*
Syd: Good... -sighs, and then grins as he examines his hair- It's lovely. -Turns around to face him- Thank you, love.
Calum: No prolem *Puts the comb and scissors away* Though, I won't be pursuing a career in the hair field
Syd: I wouldn't want you do...hair dressers are always the ones with daddy issues and weird stuff.
Calum: Weird stuff? *Crosses his arms and leans against the sink* I'm a werewolf and my dad committed suicide when I was a baby, thus sending me into the system, so I think I fit the category
Syd: -frowns, but still attempts to make a joke out of it- Nah, you gotta be divorced with twelve kids, and then you have to have a mole right above your lip, big boobs, and a beehive. And, unless I'm wrong, none of that will be happening soon.
Calum: I sure as hell hope not *Rubs his chest* I don't need back issues
Syd: -grins- Good. Boobs are gross anyways.
Calum: Not boob man dear?
Syd: -shakes his head- Nope. I'm over boobs. They're too jiggly.
Calum: *Laughs* And what is it you moved on to?
Syd: Well, you know. -looks over Calum, his eyes fixating...downwards-
Calum: Here I was expecting asses
Syd: -shrugs- That too. But, mainly, junk. So much easier to hold on to.
Calum: *Snorts then leans over to kiss Syd*
Syd: -returns the nuzzle- Love you too.

Calum: *Zonked out on the couch, his book covering his face as he lightly snores*
Syd: -opens the dooor and waltzes in, humming to himself-
Calum: *Flicks an ear in his sleep, then attempts to roll over, only to fall of the couch* Mmph!
Syd: -walks over to Calum and frowns. In his hand is a bouquet of flowers- You okay, love?
Calum: Yeah *Strethces and pushes to his feet, picking up his book* Just for- *Stops and blinks at the sight of the flowers*
Syd: -smiles and holds them out- Happy anniversary, love...or, well, sort of anniversary...
Calum: *Smiles and starts to take the flowers, then pauses a and slaps his face* s**t *Looks over the coffee table* Where I put it? *Heads into the library/music room and can be heard digging around*
Syd: -ears perk and watches Calum walk off. Flops on the couch and crosses his legs-
Calum: *Comes back out with a small gift bag and holds it out to Syd*
Syd: Ooh~ -takes the bag and hands the flowers to Calum. Opens the bag and cackles- Ahah...this is amazing~ -grins and pulls out the box-
Calum: *Sits beside Syd and sniffs his flowers* I heard it's fun *Shrugs* And we could always use more to do
Syd: -shrugs- I'm up for anything, I suppose.
Calum: *Looks around* ...Lets go for a walk
Syd: -smiles- Alright.
Calum: *Stands and heads into the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase* I'll be right back
Syd: -smiles and watches as Calum leaves. Looks down at the game case, his tail swishing. Holds back a shiver-
Calum: *Comes back out and holds a hand out ot Syd* Ready?
Syd: -smiles and takes Calum's hand, though his hand is a bit colder than usual- Yup...~
Calum: *Frowns a little and rubs Syd's hand* Are you cold?
Syd: -smiles- No, I'm fine, love. -looks a bit whiped-
Calum: *Stares at Syd and continues to rub his hand, then tugs him in for a kiss*
Syd: -smiles and wraps an arm around Calum, happily kissing him-
Calum: *Pulls back to nuzzle Syd* You feel cold...
Syd: -holds back another shiver- I'm fine love... -tugs on his hand- Now, where to?
Calum: I thought we could go to that hill...
Syd: -grins- That sounds lovely...~
Calum: Lets bring a blanket *Goes over to dig one out of the closet*
Syd: -shivers when Calum isn't looking. Walks over to the closet and grabs his coat-
Calum: *Comes back carrying the blanket* All set?
Syd: -buttons up his coat- Mnhm... -holds out his hand-
Calum: *Takes Syd's hand before leading the way out*
Syd: -follows Calum, yawning-
Calum: I am going the right way, right?
Syd: -smiles- Yup... -squeezes Calum's hand-
Calum: *Smiles a little* It's strange...
Syd: Strange...?
Calum: *Nods* Before coming here, I never even thought of being in a relationship with someone, let alone getting married and having a life with someone
Syd: -blushes- Neither did I...well...I thought about it, I just never thought it'd happen...
Calum: Yet, here we are *Tilts his head back to look at the sky*
Syd: -smiles- Isn't it lovely...~ -tries to pull him closer-
Calum: It is *Wraps an arm around Syd and nuzzles at him, ears perking when the hill comes into view*
Syd: -smiles and returns the nuzzle- Here already~?
Calum: *Nods* Looks like it *Looks over the area while thinking back to that night*
Syd: -shivers, but tries to hide it by tugging on his hand and skipping up the hill- C'mon, love...~
Calum: *Blinks and stares after Syd before hurrying after him* Wait up
Syd: -chuckles and starts to run up the hill. Once he gets to the top he doubles over, gasping for air- Augh...
Calum: *Frowns and jogs up to Syd, places a hand on his back* Are you getting sick?
Syd: -shivers and flops down, panting- No...I'm fine love...I'm fine.. -twitches-
Calum: No, you're not *Takes the blanket lays it over Syd*
Syd: -shudders and hugs the blanket around himself- I'm fine... -frowns, looking disappointed all of a sudden-
Calum: You don't seem fine... *Sits down beside Syd* What with the frown?
Syd: -whimpers and shivers and hugs the blanket over his mouth. Mumbles-
Calum: *Flicks an ear* What was that?
Syd: I've ruined it...I wanted this to be nice and I've ruined it...
Calum: *Frowns and moves to lay down beside Syd* No you haven't...
Syd: -curls up against Calum- I did something stupid, Calum...
Calum: What did you do? *Wraps an arm around Syd*
Syd: I stopped doing everything... -shivers- So I'm gonna get sick like last time...
Calum: Ahhh *Winces at the memory of last time, then sighs since he wasn't aware Syd had started again. Rubs Syd's back and just holds him close*
Syd: I'm sorry... -shivers- I thought that maybe if I was clean then...maybe I could make you happier...
Calum: *Sighs again and nuzzles Syd, whispers* You always make me happy though...
Syd: -murmurs- I want to make you happier...And I want to be happier...and I can only be so happy with drugs...
Calum: *Kisses Syd's forehead* We made it through last time... we can do it again
Syd: Maybe... -shivers- But, I could stop it if you want..
Calum: *Shakes his head* Do what you feel you need to do *Rests his head on the ground*
Syd: -frowns and rests his head on Calum's chest- I want to try at least...
Calum: I can help if you want, I'm always to willing to help you my dear *Lifts his hand to comb his fingers through Syd's hair*
Syd: I know... -frowns- Don't let me upset you...
Calum: *Massages the base of Syd's neck* Just, relax
Syd: -shivers and buries his face in Calum's chest- I'm sorry, love...
Calum: Don't be, you haven't ruined anything. We're together, in the spot of our first date, and I get to hold you. Everything's fine.
Syd: -whimpers as he tries to hold back another shiver- Then...I'm sorry for the things I will do...
Calum: *Hugs Syd closer* Consider it payback for all the weird stuff you have put up with around the full moon?
Syd: No, don't say that...it'll give me more reason to be mean to you... -frowns- I'd much rather deal with stuff on the full moon than deal with me on a withdrawal.
Calum: I'm rather deal with the withdrawal then the full moon. I don't like getting like that towards you
Syd: -frowns- No...you're like...an angel compared to me on withdrawal...no matter what you do...I think such terrible things...
Calum: And you think I don't?
Syd: -falls silent- ... -sighs- When I'm like that I don't care what happens to you...you could go away for ever...you could die and I wouldn't care...as long as I can get my stuff back...sometimes I think maybe if I hurt you enough you'd go away...
Calum: I'd rather tie you up in and stick you in a closet until you're better *Joking... mostly*
Syd: -frowns- I tried doing that once... -chuckles nervously- I barely made it an hour...
Calum: *Blinks* You tied yourself up and locked yourself in a closet?
Syd: I didn't tie myself up..but I locked myself in my attic. I busted through the door though.
Calum: Huh, for some reason "Hulk smash" comes to mind, and I don't even watch that show
Syd: -chuckles- It was something like that...but...I'm hardly a hulk. -pokes his pathetic excuse for biceps-
Calum: I'd hope so *Nips at one of Syd's hear* Green's never been my favorite of colors
Syd: -chuckles and flicks an ear- Me neither...I've never liked my men with too many muscles either... -kisses his neck- Say...we oughta do something tonight..something I won't feel like doing tomorrow... -runs a finger over Calum's chest-
Calum: What was it you had in mind *Nibbles along Syd's ear*
Syd: -smirks, kissing along Calum's next- After a whole year of dealing with me... -nips at his neck playfully- I think you oughta know...
Calum: Hmm, I don't know... *Slides his hands down Syd's side* It seems to be slipping my mind.
Syd: -shivers, thought this time it isn't because he's cold- Hm, do I really have to tell you...~ -suckles on his neck-
Calum: No, I think I'm getting the gist of it *Slides his hand under the blanket and then under Syd's shirt as he shivers himself and offers up his neck*
Syd: -smirks as he sucks on Calum's neck. Pulls away and stares at the small mark he's made, and finds another spot to make a second mark. Pulls away and looks up at Calum- Right here, in the middle of Namiah? For all to see...~?
Calum: *Tenses a little and looks around* ... We should head home
Syd: -growls slighty, looking at Calum with a mean gleam in his eyes- No... -rolls over and pins him, his tail swishing- I wanna do it right here...!
Calum: *Blushes and looks around* But what if someone sees?
Syd: -smirks, staring into Calum's eyes with a bit of a cruel manner- I don't care... Remember the first time? We did it right in the middle of the forest...you didn't seem to mind much then... -kisses Calum's neck and nips a bit harder than usual-
Calum: *Closes his eyes as the blush darkens* We weren't out in the open *Shivers at the n** while wincing slightly*
Syd: Still... -reaches for Calum's wrist and pins them over his head, leaning all of his weight onto them- Anyone could've come by... -places another n**, a bit more agressive than the last- And what a lovely sight they would've seen, hm?
Calum: *Bites his bottom as he shivers once more and then mumbles incoherently*
