It made me sad, and angry at the intense fan girls for completely ruining these actors views of teenage girls.

In an interview with E! Entertainment, Pattinson was quoted saying:

Quote:
“When I read it, I was convinced Stephenie was convinced that she was Bella, and it was like a book that wasn’t supposed to be published. It was like reading her sexual fantasy, especially when she said it was based on a dream and it was like, ‘Oh I’ve had this dream about this really sexy guy,’ and she just writes this book about it. Like some things about Edward are so specific, I was just convinced, like, ‘This woman is mad. She’s completely mad and she’s in love with her own fictional creation.’ And sometimes you would feel uncomfortable reading this thing. It’s kind of a sick pleasure in a lot of ways.”

And subsequently, in an interview with MSN, Stewart was reported saying:

Quote:
“I was like, ‘You guys are celebrating something that has not come true yet. So, you are really retarded and have nothing to do with this creative process and I really don’t want to hear you celebrate in front of me. Get out of here! It’s my responsibility!’”

“You can go online and it’s very intangible. I mean, who knows how many of these girls there are? It’s probably just the same five girls going on every message board and gabbing on about it,” Stewart says. “But to have literally, like, a room of over 5,000 people screaming at you makes you want to cry. It’s not like, ‘Oh, this is so great.’ I think it’s literally like an instinct. To have that sort of energy forced at you? You start to wither.”

What are your thoughts on this? Does this change your opinion about the actors and/or Stephenie Meyer?

Well, Pattinson's wasn't about the fangirls, but Stewart's made me laugh. To me, it didn't sound like a generalization of teenage girls, just a generalization of Twilight fangirls in Stewart's interview.

Honestly, I just began to love Pattinson more. It is a sick pleasure.

To be quite honest I love what they said XD.And I don't blame them for saying that. It's like how would you feel if you had to face 1,000 of screaming fans each day?

It doesn't change my opinion at all, actually. I still think that Ms. Meyer has potential to be a much better writer and I wish her best of luck in future writing endeavors. And I still love Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart as actors. If anything has changed, I have a little more respect for them, for not hiding their opinions and being honest about how they felt.

As for invoking emotion, the quotes actually amused me beyond belief, because, saddening as it may be, what they say about the book and fangirls is true. The fans are psychotic and the book series does play out like someone's fantasy.

As much as I hate to admit it, (because I hate Robert) I agree with his quote.
