Rules
1) Follow the goddamn ToS. I mean, come on. I shouldn’t have to say this. Gaia is PG-13, ergo this RP is PG-13.
2) Damage is realistic. Guns kill people. If you're shot, you will bleed out unless healed. Knives kill people. If you get stabbed or if you get sliced up and don’t go to a hospital, you will suffer for it – probably even die.
2.5) You may be saved from stupidly dying once per character. If you can't get yourself out of a certain-death scenario, I'll help you out, if possible, once per character. Exactly once.
3) Freakin’ literacy! Chat-speak is the number-one cause of violent deaths in this RP, got it? Occasional grammatical or spelling errors are tolerable, but if it becomes annoying to me, your character will suffer for it. And just for reference... I lose patience with this rapidly.
4) All narration WILL BE IN THE THIRD PERSON PAST TENSE.
5) Exercise good judgment about whether something works. If I edit your post to have a different outcome, it’s because you did something that shouldn’t have worked.
6) I can decide who lives and dies, as well as who succeeds or fails. Believe me, I won’t abuse this and I won’t drag you around by the ears... but I can change outcomes at will if it's necessary
7) You will capitalize your posts as appropriate.
cool You will never, ever post OoC in the IC threads. It will enrage me because I will have to delete your posts and Gaia doesn't track the posts per page right after that because it assumes the post still exists.
9) You will use no custom themes on your posts in roleplay threads. They cause clutter. That annoys me. As long as any posts with a custom theme are unedited, you cannot gain AP. When Saturday rolls around, if you have a custom theme there, you lose the points for the week. They are gone forever. Such a shame.
10) I am the only one permitted to edit posts that are not my own in this subforum.
Advice
Don’t piss off characters much stronger than you without a ridiculously good plan or a ton of Awesome Points.
Don’t do something you yourself wouldn’t do in that situation. People who are too dumb to live… WILL DIE. You have been warned. Each PC gets one save from death, and then they're on their own.
Always remember, guns kill people. Or if you prefer, people with guns kill people.
People with magic are still best off doing what people with guns demand. Honestly. Er, unless you can disable the gun. Before you get shot. In that case, go ahead.
Bad luck is inversely proportional to knowledge and application of the English language.
Remember that all of your actions will have consequences.
You need not choose any side other than "yourself," but having friends in high places helps survival.
Have fun. Seriously.
Awesome Points are the best way for getting out of bad situations. Be careful not to squander them. twisted They usually won't be necessary, but they're a great help - especially if your team isn't helpful or lacks healers. However, they are not needed to do things like activating shields you had prepared. However, pulling a shielding out of nowhere... that'll cost you.
