-Your useless-
This is how Uxe saw everything these days. Dark and dreary and everything around him threatened to take his life. He found it easier to stay tucked-hidden away from it all. He hated how his siblings played and frolicked-how his elderly parents could only watch. He curled his lip in distaste more than he smiled. He rarely smiled actually. Something he found stupid. Lemme show you how I feel about this moment-a smile to express my happiness and perhaps an elephant will stomp my brains out the next moment. I'll die with a smile though-right?
He was walking the usual route he went to get away from his family-a dark corridor of dark tree's and shrubs-shading almost to delightful darkness. In fact, he could sit in the dark and stare out with red eyes all night if allowed too. He liked to watch others termoil. The one thing he enjoyed with his parents was watching them kill prey.
Someday he'd do that... unless he died first or a hyena broke his spine. He relished the day he could strangle a wildebeast or rip the viscera from a zebra. He would lick his chops and join in the feast-surprising his parents. He liked to eat apparently to them-but he liked to get covered in blood. He would too-someday get covered in blood. Soon.
He sat amongst the dark and the dreary trees-pondering over when he'd be able to bring upon himself such a fond death upon a creature larger than he. He sat, a small toothed smile across his face-his prominent canine teeth more like fangs.

They were only trees, dammit. Stupid trees that could do nothing but sway to whatever winds could rustle though the dangling leaves. The lion sneered, baring his own teeth and continued to argue with himself as he continued to walk through the dark trees that surrounded him. These new lands weren't out to attack him, and thankfully most creatures were right in mind to leave him alone.
Not like before, his eyes narrowed and focused ahead - he made it a point to keep his gaze ahead of him but it didn't help his mood any.

Uxe murmmered to himself, standing up and padding down to where he would be directly inbetween all the trees. At the center, ran a small soggy stream-where he found a particularly large amount of interesting things. He rather liked the dead frogs and refuse of the normal death in africa. He found a crocodiles tooth and kept it in a secret spot amongst the rocks. He was fond of it, large and almost the size of his crimson eye. He walked towards the spot but lost interest before he got there-something else catching his eye.
A paw print. A large one. An adult no doubt. He braced his paws around it, lowering his pink nose and smelling it slowly-his crimson eyes half shut. A male. He knew his scents well. He stood up, looking around. A rouge too... one thing he had learned from his parents was that rouges were particularly dangerous. One of his cousins had gone missing a while ago as a cub-taken the soon found. Evidence shown them that a large female stole her from them. He lifted his nose to the air, breathing deep. He could smell the stranger. He bristled-looking around with defiant eyes.

The male in question was really not too far ahead, taking long slow heavy strides even though he wanted nothing but to get out of this thicket of deep forest. And he was obvious in the dark colors of the trees and bushes, not even they could completely shadow his pure white fur and bright golds and yellows the patterned it.
Kyrios wasn't paying attention, and hadn't caught wind of his smaller would be pursuer who lingered in the trees. All he could keep his mind on for now, besides the need to not be so paranoid about those tree lines and the darkness of the forest, was the growing irritation of the music that the smallest of creatures were pleasuring him with. The crickets, the frogs in the stream that were still alive, making all the noise they could. Lovely. A deep rumble vibrated in his throat as he continued to stalk through, hoping for the end of the darkness.

Uxe was content with staying in this little shrouded area-unlike the stranger in his midst. He stood up, stretching slowly out and raking his claws in the dirt. Sharp little claws that could one day hurt. He then stood, shaking his dark fur and padded quietly towards the scent-his pupils narrowing as he searched for any visual sign of the 'stranger'. His father had made sure to cram each childs head with the warnings and ways of the world-and Uxe was not stupid enough to ignore this vital information-though he would never admit it was brilliant.
He clambered over a small hill with many fallen trees, that he had to slither through and peek out from the tangles and trunks. He could smell the stranger like he was under him-and it only took a few seconds to spot the gold and white lion. Uxe was impressed instantly by his markings-since he seemed to have a connection with his own. He licked his lips slowly, leaning an elbow on one of the trees and in his smoothest voice; spoke-
"Why do you wander in such a small dark space for such a large stranger?" He asked, refering to how cramped and dark this area was.

There was a small pinhole of light ahead, some ray of hope that he was finally out of this dreadful little thicket of trees. It could have almost brought a smile to his sour expression and it nearly did if not for the voice that suddenly made him stop in his tracks.
He paused, yet not giving the pleasure of whoever dared stop him the pleasure of him looking around all frantic. He was better than that, and besides it was obvious the small voice was behind him. Young, definitely didn't deserve to be looked upon. Cocky too, trying to be smooth and perhaps intimidating, perhaps to hide some weakness? [some of his opponents often tried to slow him down with large confusing words, trying to intimidate him, they soon learned they didn't work on him and didn;t work in that sort of world. They were just trying to compensate for their lack of strength and vigor]. Kyrios growled, "What's it to you?" His tail swished and hit the ground violently, to further express his irritation.

Uxe slid down from his small perch and slipped into the light. He knew his dark pelt (thank you father) was hard to see in the dark. He sat down in the light-looking at the stranger with silent eyes; no emotion or expression on his face really. He looked the stranger up and down-sure he had never seen him before. Not a friend of his parents... their only friends were family.
He perked up. "It's nothing to me actually..." He cocked his shoulder and shrugged. "Just wondering why an adult would be down here... it's so small I have to tuck in tight to get around sometimes... So I have no clue why anyone so big and tall would want to even get down here!" He said, looking around with his crimson red eyes. "Unless you are coming down here to die... alot of bigger animals do that... find dark spots to die in...
