She was the one and only white queen of the sands. Her ivory paws accented the golden eyes that graced her noble face. She stood, her chest pristine with its black marks-her proud Firekin Legacy no doubt. Golden eyes stared out at the land that was 'hers' and no one else's. This was her terrain-her domain and her home. This was her safe haven as well. Never would this cub truly understand how much her life would be different if she had been born in the 'other' pride. A slave no doubt. Here-she was one with her people and one with her siblings. Here-she could be herself.
Zii'moto. One with no fire.
This made her smile and stomp a front paw defiantly. Thats right, she was one with no fire-not a red or orange spot on her. White, just like the stars above and the occasional stone amongst the sands. She was proud to be so bright and 'clean' (so to speak). In fact, she didn't ever envy her siblings or parents for what she didn't have. Sure, she may have a harder time hunting at some point-but she would push through that -easy. She made a triumphant noise in her throat with a swishing tail.
Her eyes caught a flash of something on a small dune-and she raced up it on short legs. She reached the top, throwing herself up-pink tongue panting. Stuck into the dune, was a brilliant black feather-quill deep in the sand so only the brief winds moved it. She stood astonished at such a thing-never encountering a feather before-and slowly began to stalk it. It smelled oddly musty... and looked so inviting that her toes itched. She liked how shiny black it was too. She reached a paw out slowly-hovering over the small wing feather no longer than her smallest whisker.

Normally the little black cub would be following around her father. She loved to follow around her father, following him around, playing with him. Since she met him she was like a daddy's little girl. She loved her siblings too of course. But they couldn't teach her as much as her father. And of course she loved her mother yet still she had a different bond with her father.
The small all black cub, opposite to her sister. White was on her, her chest and her ears but other wise she was mainly black. She didn't care, not at all. It didn't bother her. She liked to look like her mommy. She loved her wings too. She wasn't jealous of her brightly red colored siblings. She was different and she loved it. Not as different as Zii, although that didn't effect the two at all. In fact right now she was off to find her.
Her dark golden eyes laid out to the sands in front of her. Her small black paws trotting non stop. She wasn't that sure where her sister was but she wasn't going to stop looking for her, no not at all. SHe grinned slightly before she caught glance of her other colored sister. Her grin turned quickly into a smile and right away she was bounding across the sands to her sister. "What-chu doing?" She called out as she got closer to the other cub, a smile on her face, she wasn't that sure what her sister was doing but like always she was bent on finding out.

Zii slowly bent down and plucked the fluffy feather from its sandy 'vase' and lifted her head, her eyes crossed so she could see it. She grinned, lifting herself up off her paws to spit the fluffy feather into the air. She squealed with glee, bounding after it. She heard her sister shout and it caught her attention-though she was in the middle of jumping after the feather. Her head turned as her body began to fall down the side of the hill.
"Huh?" Was all she could manage to say before she began to tumble down the sandy dune. White paws flailed for a grip, her little nose and ears filling with sand again-her true enemy. She came to a hault, halfway down the hill-where she lay crumpled and coughing. She shook her head of the sand that accumulated there-the feather now long gone, and began to sneeze. She had learned that 'sneezing' was not as bad as she had thought when she first came with Mother. She rubbed her nose against her front paws-burbling.
"Sissy!" She said, rolling onto her side and starting to clean her feet. "Did you see how far I went... I practically flew over da' side of the hills!" She called.

Azar was quiet surprised at how her sister reacted. At first she just slowed her trot down before completely looking at her sister with a look of disbelief and even some slight confusion. Didn't her sister smell her coming? Apparently not... She continue her trot to the top of the hill watching her sister roll down. She watched her sister sneeze, sitting back on her haunches with a brow arched. Clearly not amused with what went on...
At that moment that is...
Soon she burst into laughter trying her hardest to keep herself from joining herself and also tumbling down the hill. She looked down at her sister with a grin before letting out another laugh. That she had to admit was amusing. She soon stood back out, making her own way down the hill, slowing down at some points to test some sands before continuing her way down. She watched her parents do it so many times, she watched them like a hawk when they were walking the sands, slowly she was getting used to it.
"Nice sister!" She nipped at her sister's ear before bumping her head against hers. "So what were you doing?" She arched a small brow at her sister before looking around. She wasn't playing with some one, she knew that much, they wouldn't have been able to run away that fast. And she doubted anyone would just randomly run away because she was there.

Zii sat there and did not know why she wasn't laughing. If anything-she was a bit embarassed. Her siblings weren't so clumsy all the time and she seemed to always be falling down or filling her nose with sand or getting a bug in her ear. She sat up, shaking off the dust from her pristine pelt with a snort. She straightened up when her sister came down and greeted her, pressing her own head against her black sibling. "I did have a feather-but I am afraid it is long gone now sis" She said softly, looking skyward. "It was black too... just like the feathers on your back..."
Black like the color she lacked greatly.
She stood up and put a paw on her sisters 'wings' and smiled. She thought they were rather whimsical and her family seemed pleased with them-but the one thing she felt a huge connection with was the markings that the sisters shared; their chest markings. "It was as dark as my nose... just beautiful but I am afraid I lost it in that tumble..." She coughed and rubbed her pink ears with a paw. "Otherwise I was just watching the dunes..." She added.

Azar grinned at her sister when she felt her sister's head pressed against her own. She grinned before frowning slightly at her sister. "I'm sorry. I probably scared it off." Her ears dropped for a moment before she licked the bridge of her sister's nose in apology before straightening up. She loved the small amount of markings that they shared, just the little bit of that white on her own pelt and the little bit of black that was on her sister's. It was perfect to her. Her darker gold eyes looked around at the sand around them, their home. The dunes seemed to 'eat' alot of things, the most recent victim her sister's feather.
She grinned as she felt her sister's paw on her back She was proud of her wings but some times wished that her sister also had them. "Maybe you will find it again." She nudged her sister before looking down a the sand shifting around her paws. "Watching the dunes are always nice." She looked around. To her it was so beautiful. "I was looking for you." She grinned at Zii before nodding. "I was following daddy for a bit but he said that I should find you and play with you." She grinned at her sister. She was infact attached to her father but she also was to her sister. They both shared a odd bond that she was proud of. Like Ea and Fia but different at the same time. They didn't look exactly the same but maybe that was a good thing.

Zii nodded her head slowly. It was true... She most likey did scare if off. She found that Azar had alot of that in her-the ability to do things. Zii however, sometimes lost concentration and stared at things to much. Thats probably why she didn't like to be around the others alot-she felt really dumb compared to them. They were all so-perfect in her eyes. Her little golden eyes lowered for a brief moment before looking back up again. She smiled. "I like it when the dunes take you with them... like... they are all a movin' under your paws and stuff." She said quietly, looking between her pale little paws.
Zii knew that Azar loved Daddy alot-perhaps even a bit more than mom. Zii liked them both equally.. in truth she liked everyone the same-except for her sister Azar. "Daddy knows that when we play-we don't get in trouble like Ea and Fia do..." She said quietly, giggling at the end with glee. She stood up and pranced around. "Cause they get naughty sometimes... but we play good games and stuff...." She said proudly, puffing out her pale chest.

Azar looked at her sister the smiled looking down at her sisters paws then her own. She was glad that they were both so proud of their pelt colors, she knew in some other places that it wasn't that good to be proud of their colors. Not their own colors but just colors in general. She couldn't believe that, she had a lot to learn though... She dug her claws into the sand for a moment then grinned. "I love the dunes. I like getting lost in them." Then she giggled slightly interrupting herself. "Not like I did last week, I mean like, staring at them." She grinned up at her sister for a moment.
Her sisters words interrupting her thoughts deeper, she didn't mind though. She smiled at the thought of what her sister was saying then got up walking next to her and bumping into her lightly. "Well we are very good." She puffed out her chest too, nipping at her sisters ear then giggling again. "So what do you want to do Zii?" She asked looking at her, she didn't mind anything that her and her sister did, some times they even sat around and talked, and to tell the truth she loved that as much as anything else that they did. Just as fun as playing tag and play fighting, it always was.

She padded her paws on the sand for a moment-trying to think of a new game to play with her favorist sister. She lifted her head, looking at the dunes-at the dried plants and other assorted fun things that the desert hid for them. "I like them... when they get all wavy and move... thats my favoritest part!" She said, sitting back on her hind legs and tucking her front paws up against her chest, rubbing her cheeks against them. "I like to watch them eat stuff too.. like plants and lizards... I saw a snake get eatted yesterday.." She added, sticking her right front paw into the ground and rubbing it around. This seemed to please her.
She looked up and had a bright cheery smile. "Wanna see how far we can dig before we find something?" She asked, looking down at the sand between their paws. She often wondered what lay below them-though she had never been adventurous enough to find out. Perhaps water or maybe birds stayed down there or something. She had no clue. "I've been wanting to dig for a long time but never did... "

Azar looked out at the land once more with a grin growing on her lips. She loved these dunes. She giggled as she looked out at the dunes. "They are great." Then at her sister's comment about them eating a snake her eyes grew wide for a moment, but then she couldn't help but to giggle. It amused her, the idea of it. "Its always fun to watch that." She'd seen it many times and every time she couldn't help but to giggle.
She kneaded her claws in the sand in front of her before her attention snapped back to her sister. She shifted where she was standing before looking down at the dirt. She really never thought about digging in the sands, mainly because there was so much of it. She didn't want to get eaten like that snake did. Then again she was always up for a challenge and this sure sounded like one.
It took her a moment before she looked up with a grin at her sister. "Well..." she started sitting back on her haunches more before nodding. "I think it sounds like fun." Her grin grew more into a smirk before she started to dig softly at the ground, waiting for her sister to really get started on the digging before she did herself.

Zii enjoyed the simply things in life really-she was often found staring into the sky and watching birds peck at things. She rather enjoyed simple easy things. She beamed a her sisters agreement. She braced her hind legs against the ground, her little toes wiggling to get a better grip. She bent down, stretching her white paws and neck, her tail straight up in the air before she stood on her back legs-lifting her front paws high in the air before diving into the sand-almost up to her elbows.
She sort of flailed her legs around in the sand-only because she couldn't move her paws much. "DIg dig dig... I wonder what we will find! Maybe a rhino!" She looked up and giggled. Imagine that-a rhino underground. "Or perhaps a flamingo!"

That was another way that they were different. Azar took at lot of things seriously, a lot of what she did was bent on training, or leaning. She wasn't one to play around much unless it was with Zii, or some of her other siblings. That's one reason why she loved her sister she felt like she could do things like this with her and play around.
She watched her sister for a moment before she started to paw at the dirt thinking of how she was going to start digging herself. Watching her sister she really didn't have a method. She shrugged before she stretched out her claws then started digging at the ground a smile growing on her face. At ehr sisters suggestions before giggling herself at the idea of finding one of those in the ground.
"Imagine finding one of those! That would be fun." She giggled again, it would be interesting. Just because she had a serious approach at a lot of things she still had the mind of a cub and the idea of a few things like that always made her giggle. Then something went through her mind that made her giggle even more. "Imagine what mommy is going to say when we come up full of sand!" She looked up at her sister before laughing again. She could already see her mom trying to clean all of the dirt off of them.

Zii sometimes felt a bit different from everyone else-though there were some very white others here in the simo-she still felt like the oddball and in some ways she was. A family of black and red and one single-white little lady. She sometimes resented her sibilngs for how they matched or looked like their parents but she recalled her Mom talking about how Zii looked like someone in the family. She looked over at her adoring sister and chuckled, her white ears flicking. To think, these two didn't really get into trouble often-just the normal things. Even being cubs-their firekin lines shown through so beautifully sometimes. Zii always aimed to please and it was obvious sometimes.
She began to scoop the sand out of her hole-her little pink tongue sticking out for a moment-before it was soon covered in sand. She sputtered and made a face-reaching up with her forepaw to wipe it away and only succeeding in covering her face more. She started to sneeze-like she often did-her little eyes squeezed shut. After a few blows of the sneeze, she sat panting and dirty. "I hope Dad doesn't wash us... he sometimes gets real rough on my ears." She reached up and wiped her cheek against her paw. She began to scoop again-this time more precise and clean. "So ever'body is talkin bout what they wanna be when they grows up... what do you wants to be?"

Azar kept her attention on digging for the moment. Her eyes set forward. Giggling herself every now and again. She loved getting time with her sister almost as much as when she spent time with her father. And boy she loved spending time with her father.
She never really put that much time thinking about her coat color. She didn't really care all that much. But she knew that it was good to have their family's colors. She had heard about the cub, the golden cub, she felt bad for him... Very much. She shrugged the idea off before looking up at her sister with a giggle.
"Daddy isn't that rough." She said simply looking up at her sister giggling at the sand going everywhere, she was trying her hardest to keep it clean. She stopped once to get some stand off of her nose by licking it off, making a face as she did at the taste of sand. Something told her it was something she was going to have to get used to over her life time. Then she looked up again with a soft shrug, going back to digging before she gave her answer. "I don't really know..." She paused for a moment before digging her paws back into the sand and slowly pulling them back out, starting a slowly cycle of digging. "I was thinking about being a warrior." She looked up at her sister with a soft smile. "You?"
