Astrophel shook his head, almost violently for him. A huff sounded from hi snout as he stormed his way around. Why was he always left out? He just wanted someone to be friends with... and really, Starlet was a lot of fun... But her mother was acquiring alot of attention with her mental problems. But from what he knew he wasn't surprised that the mare couldn't remember her mate... She barely ever saw him! "Ugh!" Huffing again his storming had created a rather large cloud of dust on the pathway... Strangely enough, it hadn't snowed in such a long time.
He didn't fit in anyways. Two different two leggers belonged to him, and it was as if neither wanted him always shuffling him around... He didn't even know where he came from! Thats something he wanted to know for sure. He finished storming around and sighed, pushing her hooves into the dirt. Why was it so hard to meet others?
Before he knew it, it had made his way over to another river and she was looking at himself in the reflection. "I wish that there were others like me..." He said in a saddened tone. All the while his wings were tucked in against his sides. He didn't know how to fly yet either.

Harmony looked over, a slightly lopsided smile on her face. After months of searching...right when she had given up, a young Angeni colt practically dropped into her lap. He was quite handsome, for one so young, and she could only wonder why he was out here all alone.
Her curiosity piqued, she approached the young colt slowly. He would be the first pure-blood Angeni she had ever met...as she had never met the grandmother whose Angeni blood she carried in her own veins. It seemed a shame to Harmony that she didn't possess the majestic wings of her race. Her father...for whatever reason, was grounded, a half-Wind, half-Angeni who couldn't take to the sky. Likewise, she, too, shared his curse...her mother had the most beautiful wings she had ever seen, yet she was unable to take to the skies. She longed to share the sky with the winged ones...but she knew that she would be forever trapped on the ground.
She stepped gingerly, half-afraid that he would run off. She didn't mean to eavesdrop, but she heard what the little colt said. A sad smile appeared on her face. "Don't we all..." She said softly, hoping she wouldn't frighten him.

Astrophel had bent himself over and was taking in some water when he head the voice of a female and he jumped, having been spooked. But he didn't run. He simply had no idea anyone was close by... But his body language seemed to change; as it completely different from that of the foal stomping around. He hadn't met anyone else yet, and was unsure of how to act, but she certainly looks nice...
"Um... Hello." He said meekly to her, anyone could tell he was nervous. His wingers fidgeted. Only having just come from the basket, he hadn't learned to fly yet. "I-it's a lovely eve. I mean .. Day." He did a nervous laugh and then quickly fell silent. The mare before him was clearly an adult. With a tail he had never seen before.
His Dark eyes took in her form, letting his muscles relax. She couldn't have posed a threat to him. His short tail flicked, the hanging feather bounces off his leg, as he folded his wings against his body.

"Hello." She smiled at him. "I won't bite, you know, I'm not scary." She laughed gently, her happiness bubbling over inside her. "It is...quite an interesting day, I think. Perfectly lovely. So...are you all alone out here?" A concerned expression formed on her face. He wasn't by himself, was he? But there were Skinwalkers and Kalonas about! He couldn't just be left here to fend for himself. Perhaps he had a home, and was just out exploring. Yes, surely that was it.
Nevertheless, this colt was very intriguing to her. He was blue, of a such a beautiful shade. Like staring into the night sky. His beautiful wings shuffled nervously, and she was puzzled as to why. She wasn't threatening at all, why was he so anxious? Regardless, he had the most beautiful wings, the color of midnight tipped in blue. Curiosity struck her, were all Angeni children this adorable? Her lack of knowledge frustrated her. She herself possessed Angeni blood, but she knew nothing about it.
Perhaps this child...this young one, could show her something about her own heritage.

She asked to many questions; or rather; had jumped words to him. Tilting his head some and nodded... Agreeing to trust her, that she wouldn't bit. When she took note of his comment on the day, he noticed that she called it interesting. Why? Why was today more interesting then the day before? He shrugged some and looked off to the side before looking back at her. "Well... yeah. I don't have a mother to watch me so..." He blinked. It was the most natural thing to him, the idea of not having an active parent, but he wanted to know where he actually came from one day... Maybe the night god or goddess like... created him. It was a fun thought it liked to think about it.
Shaking his head though, he had to focus on the task at hand. Who on earth was this mare? "Who are you?" This was a good starting point, who was she, and what were her intentions. "And whats so interesting about today, that yesterday, or tomorrow aren't?"

Harmony blinked. He didn't have a mother? To her, it seemed a terrible fate. Then again, she knew of several Soquili who didn't know who their parents were...and they managed quite nicely. Perhaps this colt would be okay.
"My name is Harmony." She smiled at the young colt. "And the reason today is interesting is because I've met someone new. What is your name, young one?"
She wouldn't tell him that he was the first of his kind she had met. That wasn't the sort of thing you told someone, and she didn't want him to think her odd. Besides, he seemed an interesting enough colt, perhaps it would be fun to befriend him.

He blinked coming back to reality and tilted his head at her. "Harmony? Thats a very nice name. I like it. It suits you very well." She would have no idea that at any point, he could forget about her... He didn't even realize it; Astrophel had a split perosnality. He would forgot those he met in this state, until he returned to it. "You look very kind." He nodded... "I'm Astrophel." He really liked his name, and what it meant. He felt proud, his wings stretched out and he puffed up some. His shirt tail frisked out, and then loosened as his composure went back to more relaxed. He looked up at the mare and tilted his head some.

"Thanks. I rather like my name." She grinned at the young foal. "Astrophel...such a beautiful name. You are quite the young colt, you know that? I've never met anyone like you." She thought for a moment, and then realized he had paid her a compliment. "Me...kind?" A slow smile spread over her face. "No one's ever told me that before." Harmony peered at the colt. He seemed so very mature for one so young. "Are all Angeni colts like you?" She wondered aloud. "You see...I've never met an Angeni before..." There. It was spoken. Now she'd look like an idiot, but at least her questions would be answered.

Astrophel looked around and then tilted his head some. He didn't find her to be stupid or anything. Nor did he feel he was mature. He looked down at the ground and then tilted his head. "Hm... I wouldn't really know. I haven't met another of my kind." He smiled up at her. "So you aren't the only one who hasn't." He laughed a bit at her. "Why are you so curious about what I am?" He hadn't seen a horse lik eher either, so he was just as curious about her. Something inside him stirred. It was that weird feeling, as if someone was watching everything he did, but inside him. He wanted it to go away... "What exactly are you...?"

"You...haven't? That's...that's too bad, I guess. At least I'm not alone in that." She smiled at him, wondering yet again why he had no parents. "I'm...well, I'm part Angeni myself. My grandmother was one...and I'm kind of curious about my lineage, you know? What Angeni are like, and if I'm anything like they are." Harmony laughed softly. "My mom's a Wind, so...well, I'm kind of odd, since I don't have wings. I don't really understand why I don't, but...I guess it's just part of life, right?" She looked again at his beautiful wings. "You're so lucky, Astrophel. You have the most gorgeous wings...one day you'll be able to fly higher than the clouds."

"Oh I see." He nodded some. That made sense. He too wanted to know more about what he was. Though Forte said it would come in due time. He shrugged a little.. "Really? you have Angeni blood?" He found this fact to be really exciting. "So that means you have a family line, huh? One day I want to have a big family." He looked her over. That was unfortunate for her that she had no wings when it sounded like all her family did.
"I guess I'm lucky..." He looked at his wing and then up at her. "I am excited to learn how to fly." He smiled up at her, and then he walked around her a little bit. "I want to make it into the sky. Forte tells me alot of Angeni live there"

Harmony nodded. "Yep. I don't show it...just in the feathers on my hooves...but my grandmother is the Angeni Articuno. I've never met her, though." She frowned slightly. "Maybe I should one day, just to see what she's like." The frown was quickly erased as she grinned at the young foal. "Yep! I have a really big family. I don't think I even know about 'em all! It's...really exciting sometimes, but irritating at others."
Harmony thought for a moment, about the Angeni. Was it true that they lived in the sky? How amazing would it be to be able to join them someday...but alas, that dream would never come true. "I've heard that, too, but I didn't want to believe it. Because...if they live in the sky, then I won't meet many of them at all. But I'm not too worried about that. After all, I have my grandmother...and now I have you." She smiled warmly at him. She was beginning to like this young colt.

"Oh..."He did mean for it sound as daunting it he had come out. "You know, I think your grandmother would like seeing you. If I understand right, she must be aging... So you should see her and gather what words she has to tell you." He nodded. She was lucky to have family. He had none, well blood relation. Forte and the others were the closet thing, but Forte had it in her, she was trying to get him to fly so he could reach the sky. But the look in her eyes was sad at the thought of him leaving. "When I get older, I think I want to have a very large and diverse family." He had met another colt named Devil who had a large family and it jsut seemed like something Astrophel would want.
"Yes.. Well Thats what Forte tells me. I haven't seen it for myself. But she said that some, not all Agneni are able to have a spirit form, so as long as I stay true, she thinks i can achieve that. And I want to make her proud!" He nodded. Forte was really the guiding light in his life right now. "Aweh... " She shuffled his hooves some. She was making him out to be better then he really was... he was sure of that.
"Hey... You know its starting to get kind of late, and I don't want to worry Forte."

Harmony paused and thought for a moment. "You know, I bet she would." She grinned as she thought of that. Perhaps she would go and see her grandmother someday. As her thoughts turned towards his second statement, she decided that she must be fortunate to have family. She couldn't imagine what it would be like without them...and she silently wished the young colt luck, hoping that he would get all that he dreamed for.
"It is getting late." She remarked, marveling at how low the sun had sank in the sky. "I should be leaving as well. Goodbye, Astrophel. Maybe we'll meet again one day." She smiled as she turned to go. She certainly had a lot to think about, and this young one had certainly brightened her day.
