Though one could take one glance at him and see that he was a stand-offish type of stallion, if one took a closer look, one found that Reizt was in a very cheerful mood. Despite keeping up the facade that he preferred to be alone (which in general he still preferred to be alone), the green-eyed stallion was happy to be away from his family and any [crazy] mares that might encounter him. Thanks to his idiotic playboy of a brother Zerachiel, he'd had one too many mares come crying to him about it, before he spurned them away; later to scream at his older brother in irritation and anger.

...But that was something he would deal with later. For now, the day was gentle, the breeze soft, the sun warm, and he was at peace. No mares were around, it was just himself, which was a rarity, as well. He glanced around to take in his surroundings; apparently he had wandered into a flower meadow, filled with lazy bees and happy butterflies. He chuckled to himself. The scene was in sync with his peaceful mood, which was ironic, as where he lived (which of course was with his parents, or at least, his father's territory) it was filled with trees and dancing sunbeams through the shadows. He loved his home, but there were times like this where he wished his home was more like it, but then again, he grew up used to the craziness that was his home, so he would never wish for it to change, either.

Coming to a decision, he finally settled down near the area with most flowers, gently inhaling the soft scents, a quiet smile of pleasure on his face. If his father (or even his grandfather, let alone his brother) found out that he enjoyed these sorts of things, they'd all kill him--at the same time. Truthfully, this was a habit he had acquired from his grandmother and his great-grandfather (his grandmother's father), and he appreciated this quiet, solo moments all the more because of it. As such, Reizt sighed contentedly to himself, having an odd feeling that his peaceful moment might be interrupted sooner or later, though he hoped it was later...

The stallion was to be lucky that day as it wouldn't be interrupted till later. When the sun was at it's brightest, warming the earth, Lady Kaloni had decided to finally exit to cave she had taken to staying in, with her twin brother. The temperature in a cave while not ideal by any means was at least the same, and stability was good in the winter. She didn't like the cold and avoided it at every chance, thus her exiting the cave when it was the warmest out today. She hadn't had an easy time of making her exit though, her twin, older by only a few minutes, was over protective to say the least and he was always there with her.

She had snuck out from the cave though without her twin knowing. He'd been sleeping and she'd woken up before him for once and had taken advantage of this, she would be in for a talking to later when she returned, but she saw her sneaking out worth it if only she could get out into the heat of the glorious sun and other soquili! That was one thing she most wanted to enjoy, the prescience of other soquili!

She had begun her search, but for what she did not know, as yellow hooves lead her to places and parts unknown. Seemingly glowing cyan eyes looked around as she entered into a sun drenched clearing with what seemed like thousands, if not more, flowers. Cyan eyes swept over the multitude of flowers while she inhaled deeply letting it out slowly while her wings gave a happy little flutter.

Lowering her head to smell the flowers while she walked cyan eyes cast ahead of her, taking in the flowers she was making her way toward. This was how she spotted the stallion, not far off from her. "Oh!" A surprised sound while her tail swished behind her.

Should so go and investigate? Or perhaps she should leave him be? he seemed peaceful, but he was interesting to look at...Deciding to investigate she made her way closer, yellowish horn, pale in tint, grazing over the tops of flowers and blades of grass as she moved closer.

((Hope this is good.))

He had just been about to fall asleep with the high noon sun when he twitched, his mental "alarm" going off. There was another presence near him, though who or what he could not identify. It was nothing dangerous, but he knew he was not alone anymore. But, for once he had lucked out, since he had had almost the entire first half of the day to himself; it seemed he had managed to find the perfect place to hide away from his family for the time being.

He soon stood, stretching slightly as he shook his head to shake out the rest of his drowsiness, and glanced around the flower meadow. It looked the same as it had that morning, nothing seemed disturbed. Had he looked closer, though, he would have discovered that sometimes a flower moved the opposite way of the gentle breeze, and sometimes there was a glimpse of a different colored creature that belonged to a flower meadow and yet did not. Green eyes scanned the area once more, before he relaxed.

He had been alarmed for nothing. Smiling softly at the butterflies that had landed near him, he bent down to nibble on a bit of grass, his stomach slightly growling. Well, it was noontime, so no wonder he was hungry! Chuckling slightly to himself as his silliness, he wished he could show his softer side to his family, but that was impossible. Even the slightest showing of a soft side might mean being picked on, except for when his grandmother, Aruna, was around. He had to smile at the thought of his grandmother; everyone in his family was scared of her, but she was generally a very kind mare, just... everyone made sure to never make her angry.

Sighing, he glanced once more at the flower patch, immediately tensing up as he realized he, in truth, was not alone after all. Hopefully it was nothing more than a flutter, be it male or female, though he still felt amazed that this other stranger had managed to avoid his "mental detector" for even just a little bit. Hesitating, and then resigning himself, he called out, "Hello...?"

She had been waiting for when the stallion would notice her and huffed once when he had finally noticed her. Normally a biting comment would have passed her lips without care but she held her tongue, for once, and instead took a moment to force out some rather proper and nice words.

"Hello to you as well." Well, perhaps he hadn't seen her as she had decided to investigate him further in a far smaller size. That was one reason for her biting back any less then nice words she would have spoken and had instead kept her temper and been polite. Flitting back to give herself enough room the small fluttercorn, as she was no normal flutter, was now almost as tall as the stallion but she was still on the small side when compared to him.

A horn and wings, she wasn't simply a flutter nor was she a simple unicorn she was one of those rare mixtures of both. Bright in colors with magenta hair her cyan eyes seemed to glow as they swept over the stallion for a moment while she tossed her hair, and a sash in her hair, back and out of her way. Beads of green and yellow jangled with the movement before settling in place.

"I'm sorry if I've startled you." Not really but it was a proper thing to say, or so she'd been told by her brother. After all why should she be sorry for coming here when for one she hadn't planned it and for two she hadn't set out to possibly upset or startle someone else. It was simply manners, and lessons from her older twin, which had her speaking such words in that exotic, and accented, manner of hers.

"Would you mind if I inquired as to your name?" He asked curious even while keeping her manners rather then just asking his name she had requested it, if he didn't mind, not something she would typically do. "I am called Lady Kaloni." She spoke tipping her head down ever so slightly.

When the fluttercorn revealed herself--and by no means just appearing, no, she grew in size--he couldn't help himself: he flinched. Not because she was a fluttercorn, no--she was, yes, she was a mare. Damn. There went his day. Feeling she was a little too close to him in body, he sidestepped slightly, trying to give himself some breathing room. By no means was she ugly--any mare he ran across wouldn't be ugly in appearance--but still. He just couldn't stand the presence of mares, especially those of strangers... "I'm called Reizt," he answered, voice tense but polite. "It's nice to meet you, Lady Kaloni."

Lady? She must come from some royal flutter community, not that he would know. Ugh, if his mother saw this, she'd laugh in his face for sure! The timing couldn't have been more "perfect"; he could hear his brother now, telling him he was more than fortunate a mare was willing to talk to him. Reizt, at first, wasn't very intimidating, but most of the time he scared off any mares. So Zerachiel, his brother, normally picked on him about it, but he preferred it, so he ignored the teasing. He frowned at himself, wondering why he suddenly was thinking back on such stupid everyday antics between he and his brother.

"No, don't worry. You didn't disturb me. In fact, I was about to leave." He hoped that told her that he was not trying to be impolite but that he was just uncomfortable in her presence. He tilted his head, glancing up at the angle of the sun. Noon. No wonder he hadn't seen many flutters just yet; spring had yet to roll in, but noontime was the warmest part of the day... ah, that's why he just now ran into a flutter. And on top of that, a fluttercorn, a rare species. He had only ever met one flutter in his life, and that had been when he was but a child. If he remembered correctly, her name was... Sky? Ah, it didn't matter. Green eyes observed the beauty who stood in front of him, wondering what to do.

Reizt wasn't sure if he'd be able to leave without seeming rude (mares were terrifying if they were angered... yes, he got his fear from his grandfather, who didn't like making mares angry; hence why his grandmother was practically in control of the family). In the end, he stood, waiting to see if Lady Kaloni would say anything, to stop him or to just allow him to leave. His mother had taught him to be polite to mares--as well as his Aunt Raneru (here he managed to hide a shudder)--and now he stood, simply waiting.

She couldn't say she was from a royal line or anything of that sort of nature. She simply knew her name was Lady Kaloni and while the first part of her name most would consider a title it wasn't seen as such to her, since it wasn't something bestowed upon her in some formal manner but it was simply a name bestowed upon her by her parents.

Bright eyes took in the stallion while she smiled nodding her head, beads bobbing and hair bobbing the curls bouncing lightly as she did so. Of course she had grown, she wasn't about to risk being eaten by accident or snorted up an others nose, neither were ideas she wished to contemplate. "That's a lovely name, I'm pleased to met you." She greeted bowing her head once, the trail of fabrics on either side of her head fluttering up ward with the motion, purple and orange gossamer fabric fluttering in the small breeze.

"Good, I'm glad. I just came out to enjoy the glorious sun and it's magnificent warmth." She spoke her voice eager sounding as she spoke of such things, she simply couldn't wait till the days were filled with sun and heat that would send shudders of pleasure through her body.

"Ahh, of course." She said nodding her head once. Of course she was more then a simple flutter, she was also part unicorn. While this afforded her wings and a horn it also meant she was neither as good at healing as a unicorn nor quite the flyer that a fluttercorn was not that this mattered too much to her as she preferred to be on the ground on all four hooves.

"I do hope your leaving isn't because of my mere presence." She spoke her voice lowering just a bit to sound kinder though she sounded almost like she was flirting, though perhaps she wasn't. Her brother liked to call her a flirt, though she would flirt with her brother while informing him that she was no such thing, really she was a flirt and she knew it. It wasn't something she could help, or planned to, this she figured was one reason her brother was so protective over her, hence why she was hoping he didn't find her for a while.

Resigning to the fact he was stuck with this mare and that her last couple of words would make him out to be an insensitive jerk (not to mention he'd be utterly killed if he was rude enough to leave), he stayed. Trying to hide an exasperated sigh (knowing that he also just didn't have the heart to leave a gentle mare such as Kaloni to herself), he stared at her, wondering why she was so energetic during such a cool, calm, peaceful day. Then again, was his life ever peaceful? Not hardly!

He did have to admit that when she smiled she was very beautiful... gah, must stomp that thought out. He tilted his head, a cold, impassive expression on his face. "Thank you for the compliment, but it's just a name, Lady Kaloni." She had come out to explore, from the sounds of it... and of course, enjoy the sun. He figured most flutters--and fluttercorns--tended to "hibernate" during the winter, but he was pretty sure they were just harnessing what little sunlight they could gather until the warmer seasons of spring and fall.

"Would you have me stay, if it pleases you, then?" he finally asked, almost painfully, but managed to hide it. Do not be rude, do not be rude... he chanted to himself. He honestly didn't want to hurt this mare's feelings--a first, he realized, but again, a first time for everything?--in any case, she was speaking to him in such a... well, actually, he wasn't sure. He didn't have a lot of experience with mares (aside from those in his family, but they were nothing like this mare). "It's a little startling, I admit, when a flutter, let alone a fluttercorn, appears before one's eyes..." he said, somewhat random.

...

What was he doing?

"It may just be a name to you. However names, and how people speak their own name does say something about each of us." She replied bobbing her head and smiled a bit more. Some people may say a name with pride, or arrogance, but it all told one something abut that Soquili. Some people even said a name as if they disliked it! Then again she was sure there were names she could have had which would have her speaking it with dislike, or distaste, evident. But she quite liked her name, even if it was similar to her older twins.

She had never met another fluttercorn like herself, save for her twin, so really if her dislike for the winter was due to what she was she didn't know. But she was indeed out today to take advantage of the heat the sun being out afforded her, gain some energy and stop being all tired and lax in the cave they had been staying in for the colder part of the year, they had indeed been hibernating.

While hibernating was usually considered sleeping all winter her and her twin didn't do that, they weren't bears with fat reserves and the ability to lower their metabolisms. What it meant for them was going out just for food, and keeping close to the cave, laying around, sleeping, and talking. They would keep close together for body heat as well. For her and her twin that's what their self imposed exile was.

"I would have you stay if you wish to. I would not have you leave on account of myself and my presence. If that is why you would leave then do stay, I will mind my business and find myself a nice place to lay and soak up the sun, a distance from you of course." She was actually trying to be nice, she knew this but didn't know why. She would pretend to be nice, flirt, and tease but never was she really nice at least not with anyone who wasn't her brother.

"I did not realize my presence would startle you, I have never thought a fluttercorn would startle one. Are we that rare? I have never met another, save but my elder twin." Who was a male, but she didn't mention this.
