has anybody been following it this year? This is the first year in the history of the rally that it is being run in south america due to politacal instability in africa. Robby gordon is again running in his monster H3 hummer. More info can be found here: www.RobbyGordon.com www.dakar.com

Robby nearly won stage 10 today, he was just 21 seconds behind Carlos Sainz.

Sainz is destroying everyone. USA's Mark Miller is only 27 minutes behind in second place. Gordon will also likely improve on his position.

Sainz crashed into a ravine and ended up having to drop out of the rally, so Robby Gordon is now Third, an hour and a half out of the lead. Mark miller is only 2 minutes out of first place with two stages to go. No american has ever won the Dakar rally before.
