here's a sample of some of my writing, it is still a workin porgress.


The island of Meren was once a land of great prosperity, and people that lived together in harmony. The races of men that populated the island were numerous and were content to the life they had been living. During the time that a plague had spread through the island, an evil seemingly came up from the ground itself. The year of recorded history had just past two-hundred and twenty three. The evil quickly spread from the southern part of the island, but was stopped at the mid section of the island. The person that was king at the time had ordered his vast armies that had before been of no use to him, to stop the spread of the evil. When they arrived, the forces that were on the opposite side of them stepped aside and let their ruler walk forward. When the man walked, everything became silent, the birds in trees quit chirping, the small animals quit moving around in the brush of the forested areas. Even the wind seemed to stop in his presence. With one violent throw of his arm, a giant wall of stone came up from the ground. The wall of earth separated the island completely in half. For another fifty summers the peace on the side of the wall that had not been overtaken returned and life went back to normal. The first day of the attack, left the kingdom shocked and yearning for revenge. The forces on the opposite side of the wall had amassed a large army and had begun launching attacks, at first hitting the villages that were closest to the wall, and then they moved further in and were slowly taking the rest of the island. When the war began no one was expecting anything bad to happen.

The king that had come to rule over the land had taken up arms quickly to hold the defense. In the army that was developed to hold the defense, there were sixteen star generals. Each one was the commander of some sort of special regiment. The war lasted for over one-hundred years more before the evil seemingly vanished, and the violence stopped. It took another fifty years for everyone to return to normal life, and by this time the other races of people were few and far between. The only race that was in majority was the humans. The races that were left had each gone to an island away from the main island where the king was situated.

This story begins with a young man, Seika, preparing to leave to a nearby port town called Sales. The village Kings Field in which Seika lives is near the great wall that had come up before the war. Seika and his older brother Drake are going to town for food and other things for their house. Their life in the small village with their parents had been fun, but the time was coming where they were going to be leaving to find a future for themselves. Drake being twenty- two years old has already been ready to leave the house, but has been staying behind because of his younger brother. Seika is just a few days from being old enough to leave the comfort of his parents’ presence. With the growing peace in the land, the time was going by with no threat to the normalcy in everyday living, but soon that will all change.
