'What do ya guys think? This one...."
A white cowboy hat was plopped on the head of messy brown/red hair as the trainer grinned at two of her pokemon perched near her and the hat rack. "Or this one?" A swift exchange and the white hat gave was to a brown one with a few feathers stuck in the band.
"Raichu!" A thumbs up at the brown cowboy hat came from a small Raichu perched on a shelf; the bright green eyes and pink bands around it's ankles and wrists gave away an identity that many trainers knew and loved.
"Vaporeon!" Another call of agreement came from the dark-blue Vaporeon guarding her backpack on the floor. His bright teal eyes glittered happily as the mer-like tail wiggled back and forth.
Jen nodded and, with the hat still perched on her head, grabbed her backpack before allowing Abiba to take her perch on her shoulder. Paying for the hat and tearing off the tag, she and her pokemon happily went down the street towards their favorite cafe. It had been a fairly quiet day for the three of them with most of the pokemon choosing to stay in the hotel rather than go shopping. Hopefully it would remain that way...

"EVELYN, COME BACK!" came a frantic trainer's yell. Evidently, the day would not remain quiet.
Evelyn, a large teddiursa, came pounding down the street. She was following her nose, and it led her to the cafe where Jen and the others were. Her nose told her that there was FOOD there! "Tedd!" she growled happily, racing down the street and scattering the few people that were on the sidewalk.
Just a few yards behind came Renekai, shouting for her pokemon to halt. At her side was Anima the Furret, who was enjoying the game of tag immensely. "Evelyn, get back here!" Renekai shouted again, but all in vain. Orders, bribes, and pleading could not get past Evelyn's dash for food.
Instead of entering the cafe, however, Evelyn ran straight past, having spotted a pizza joint.
Anima stopped at the cafe, allowing her trainer to carry on without her. Delicately sniffing the air, she walked into the cafe and over to Jen and Abiba and Demyx. Making it into a game, she tried to follow stealthily, so they wouldn't notice.

The group had already ordered their meal when the rukus started outside; a few people got up to see the trainer and her teddiursa run past, yet Jen remained sitting. Such minor chaos could not pull her away the importance of that which was a large Poke-Cola! Besides, when one was a trainer, that sort of thing was pretty common in her book.
Perched on the table, Abi was happily drinking her milkshake out of her favorite sippy cup; despite the fact that she was an "adult" (being fully evolved), the pokemon was still very much a child at heart and was considerably smaller than most Raichu. Therefore she could still use it!
"Raichu?"
She stopped drinking it and shook it a few times, but the sounds of liquid hitting the inside it was gone. No drinkie left? Turning towards Jen, she held out the sippy cup with the biggest set of puppy eyes one could muster.
A simple laugh was her response as Jen took the drinking vessal from her. "Okay okay, lemme ring up and we'll getcha another."
In the meantime Demyx was lounging on the floor under the table. Not noticing Anima coming up he continued gnawing on the soup bone one of the waiters had given him. It was covered in broth and was soft and chewable and just plain yummy!

Anima felt playful and mischievous. She couldn't target the human or the raichu; they would notice her before she got there, being up at the table. Her eyes locked onto the Vaporeon. Yes... She would surprise him!
Anima grinned, then slunk slowly nearer, close to the ground. A waitress nearly stepped on Anima's long tail, but neither human nor pokemon seemed to notice. In another moment, Anima used a Faint Attack to get close to Demyx undetected, then stole the bone and scampered off, chittering madly.

Poor Demyx.
One minute, he was chewing on the soup bone.
The next minute, he bit down on the paw that had been holding the bone so it wouldn't move. With an unhappy yell, he shot up and licked the bruised paw before the brown/tan stripe pattern of Anima caught his attention.
"VAPOREON!"
With an angry shout, the vaporeon took off after the thief that was holding his chew-toy hostage. That was his! And no one else had the right to take it!

Anima was ecstatic. He was playing tag! Past the tasty bone in her mouth, Anima barked, "Furret!" and wagged her long tail. Darting like a fish, she squeezed past impossible areas; under legs, around tables, then right through the door that led to the cafe storage room as a waiter opened it.
There came a series of cries and sounds of falling objects, including the splatter of cake. In a moment, Anima darted out again, covered with frosting and still holding the bone in her mouth. Behind her, three men wearing white shirts and black pants chased, shouting.
What a fun game of tag this was!

Unfortunately for the water-pokemon, he was neither as limber as Anima, nor was he able to squeeze through small spaces. As he darted along Animas' escape path, chairs went flying, people starting yelling about wild pokemon, and food flew in all directions.
Demyx was about to follow the Furret through the doors when he was suddenly knocked away by the frosting covered pokemon and the three humans chasing her. Tumbling, he can to a halt when he crashed into the counter. "Pppppppppoooooorrrrrrr..."
That really hurt......

Anima halted suddenly, sending one man that was chasing her flying as he tripped over her. "Fur!" she squeaked, then scurried over to Demyx, ignoring the other two men as they attempted to grab her. "Ret?" she said apologetically to the Vaporeon, dropping the yummy bone in front of him. Her ears were laid flat and she had on her puppy eyes, begging for forgiveness. The game was over when someone got hurt.
"Anima?" a distant voice cried. Apparently, Renekai had managed to capture Evelyn and returned the pokemon back to her pokeball after apologizing several times to the workers at the pizza joint. She had then noticed that her Furret had gone missing. Could the day get any more hectic?
Anima raised her frosting-covered head. Her trainer was coming! ... Uh oh... She was going to be in so much trouble... Anima crouched near the ground, wallowing in self-pity.

Demyx was still out of it when Anima attempted to apologize. Everything was spinning infront of the water pokemons' eyes and sounds were extremely muffled. "Por....eon...." he didn't even notice his treasure laying ungauarded on the tiled floor...
"Yah know, I go to the toilet for a few minutes and the shop blows up!" Jen stepped out of the ladies room and stared at the chaos with her arms across her chest as Abiba sat perched on her shoulder. She grumbled and shook her head; why did things like this happen everytime she went someplace? ............."Come on, Abiba. Let's go see what happened."
"Raichu!" What about Demyx?!
"Im sure he's fine. Knowing him, he's probably the cause...or at least one of the causes of yonder chaos." She laughed and started her way through the crowd.

Renekai looked around, beginning to get worried. Where was that Furret? She suddenly noticed the chaos over at the cafe. ... Bingo. Where there was mayhem, there was Anima.
Renekai tried to move into the crowd, but she faced some difficulty, being so short. Most people were either standing uselessly around or trying to leave. It was all so confusing that she wasn't making much headway!
Anima nosed Demyx's cheek. "Furr fur ret?" Are you wel? She looked worried and guilty.
Behind her, the two men were sneaking up. They looked like they planned on grabbing Anima and Demyx. They couldn't have crazy pokemon in their cafe, after all!

Jen, too, was having a great deal of difficulty moving through the crowd on her end. Many of the people had wanted to see what was going on and were smushing every single pathway closed...
And the trainer wasn't about to go on her hands and knees to crawl through people's legs. Elbowing some guy aside, she came across a couple of construction guys on break. They too were a giant road block, one that elbowing would not push aside.
"HEY! HARDHEADS! MOVE ASIDE!"
Demyx awoke and blinks before flopping over to right himself. Shaking his head and wiggling his head fins, he let out a small "Vapor" before casting a grin at Anima. He was fine! It would take more than a mild crash like that to crack his thick skull.

Anima grinned back, her pointed teeth showing in a big smile. He was okay! The game could continue! Anima picked up the bone, then dropped it closer to Demyx. She waved her long tail high in the air and danced around, growling. She was acting like a playful puppy.
The two men looked uncertainly at the pokemon. The furret looked energetic and might bite if they grabbed for her. Maybe the Vaporeon was still a little woozy? One of the men lunged at Demyx, trying to grab him around the waist.

"Por!"
Pawing at the bone, Demyx eyed Anima before grinning and play-growling at the ferret pokemon. He would have started dancing around much like Anima was...if it hadn't been for the human that grabbed him.
Demyx gave a loud squeal of shock when he was suddenly lifted into the air by the back of his neck and placed so he was eye-level with an unknown male human. He squirmed and whimpered at the painful grip the human had on him while they guy himself smirked with victory.
Now, they had to capture that Furret!

Anima stopped jumping around. Hey, that guy was hurting her friend! For a friend Demyx was, even though she did not even know his name. They had played a game, and that made them pals! Anima gritted her teeth at the human, trying to tell him to put Demyx down. But how to do that?
At the other human made a grab for her long tail, she slipped through his fingers like a bar of soap. Nothing could catch her! This could be a new game, if only Demyx would be released. She didn't like to do it, as it got her in trouble, but she had to do it...
Anima ran and bit the man holding Demyx on the leg with her needle-sharp teeth.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!" The sudden pain in his ankle caused the shop manager to drop the water pokemon before he started doing a one-foot dance to try and get the Furret to let go.
Demyx winced when his bum came into contact with the tiled floors. Standing, he shook himself out before watching the interesting scene. Well, he would have had it not been for the second manager sneaking up behind Anima while she was distracted.
Tail lashing at the sneakiness, he scowled and fired a Water Gun attack at the human.
