Rosario + Vampire is a anime and manga series based off the idea of a school setting for demons and monsters. In the show they use the legends that they have in Japan for the creatures. The main story is a human boy named Tsukune ends up on accident in a school called Yokai Academy. Only it is for monsters, and at that school any human that even has come close to it has been killed on sight.
While there he makes friends with a female vampire and they have several adventures together. One of the things to note about this series is that it has some of the best pictures and graphics of modern anime...but it is also heavily hentai. It has a harem theme and perverted theme to it. This anime is for the male, (or female), who loves to see good graphics, a funny and decent storyline...and lots and lots of panty shots...

I never really thought of it as that mature. Probably just ecchi, but I stopped caring for it forever ago.

Manga is not all that mature, I say mature because of how suggestive it is...especially season two when they have a small sex scene almost in there during one of the parts.

Yes in the manga of season two they nearly go into a sex scene between Tsukune and Mizore...before she forced him to go all the way she was taken by the head Snow Woman. After wards she was forced to marry someone she did not love to be his trophy...and he well pretty much raped her though I don't think they showed most of it...just him forcing herself onto her.

No not really, by American standards perhaps but in Japan no. Japan has two ratings more or less, one is under 17 and the other is 17+. This falls under the second...

No in America it is rated M for Mature 18+. Japan is more lenient then us. Heck for their work breaks they read manga and stuff like that.

i dont really see this anime has mature,i got one of the manga books at my target store and its a cool anime! i just need to follow up with the chapters sweatdrop

it seems the mature aspect isnt til season 2 and even then its not that bad

Yeah, I remember that <_<;. I stopped watching and reading this-it's too ecchi for me man. I hate the male protagonist.
