The Legendary Society
There is an inn deep in the forest in an out of way place. The Sanctuary Inn is an out of the way place where travelers find refuge. Those from all walks of life can get a key for a room and a warm meal. Traveling musicians are always welcome.
The little know fact of the Inn is that it is a porthole to Echidna castle. A world of mythical creatures. Only the worthy can get in. They must pass through the tunnel connecting the Inn to the Other world. The Gate to the Castle is guarded by the Water Lion who judges whether or not someone may pass. The castle is always changing. Many Travel to find its secrets or to find their destiny.
The castle is found in the middle of the Moon Heart lake. Surrounding its shores is a society of mystical beings who have raged the centuries old war of good and evil. The castle being the center and neutral place of knowledge.
Echidna created the castle on the water. It was here home for many years. The castle was hidden to the rest of the world. When the tavern was build she created a tunnel from the Inn to the Castle which comes out in a cave at the bottom. She took her Nemean Lions and had them protect her word. Those who are allowed in usually get the "sight" and can see the Castle on the Water and the town surrounding the lake. She only allows the worthy and deserved to come in. Once the towns were established and the Inn staffed with people of the sight Echidna vanished. However, her ever changing Castle was left open. Anyone how choose to stay and find its secrets may.
Echidna will appear to narrate and clarify and questions. She will also give out news concerning the Inn, Castle and town. However she will never give clues to her destination. Echidna left the castle and her society in our care. However she is always watching.
Come and visit. Stay at the Inn. Enter the tunnel and pass the Water Lion. Find the castle and your destiny. Join the society and choose a side.

you can call me: Laiste, Sprig, Laia
I am: 400ish, i think.....
I look: small with wild ginger hair, big violet eyes and pointy ears.
what you need to know about me: quiet, unassuming, sneaky with really good hearing, serious, i have my own sense of humor, eaisly spooked and i can disappear. i am also very protective.
my past: Saji der Naarada found me wandering in a forest when we assume i was four. i took her to my home in a tree and sealed it for protection. Saji blood bound me to her and i took her last name. i also received some of her powers and i am mostly immortal. we have no idea who i am or where i came from. carved into the walls of the tree was the name Laiste Ishtar.
i love: to find things, especially shiny things. i love to fly and swimming. reading and find knowledge is a past time of mine.
i hate: loud people and loud noises. i hate people invading my space and presuming to know me. i hate that i do not really know myself.
you can find me: roaming around or hiding. i am also trying to find my past.

Am I really pleased to meet you?
My full name is Saji der Naarada,
but you shall call me Saji.
I am of the age six hundred and thirty seven.
If I should walk by a mirror, what do I see? What everyone sees, of course, a reflection. But you need to know what I look like, don't you...
A vibrant bright flaming head of hair streaked with vines and frail green leaves. Pale rosy eyes greet any stranger with a sense of false security, not lure anyone, mind you, they come on their own. But always a gentle smile, a friendly smile, a mischievous grin. And if you look down, don't let me catch you looking that way though, you will see a tall lithe body. I don't let myself grow anyway but up.
I like to think of myself as cool and intelligent. I do have a sense of humor, but don't expect me to let you get away with practical jokes not to my liking, I will kill you. But easy to say I am not like other people, I used to be the general, The General, of a great warhost in land you would not know. I fight and I am deadly.
What now? What like and what I dislike?

Laiste stood on the ramparts of the castle over looking the lake. The moon light shone on the lake and made the surround house's look dark. nothing stirred in the whole scene.
She had not seen anyone for days. she had spent many an hour in the castles extensive library searching for something, anything. she wished she could find it. nothing seemed to fit. she found a potion to turn trolls into jelly, an obscure history of the dungeonus forest. she found a pink book that glowed and dropped petals. she avoided that one. she found many things but nothing she was looking for.
she stood on the castle walls looking out at the lake. her cloak wrapped about her, making her look even smaller. she kept looking waiting for anyone to come.

Saji bent down and picked up a coin that lay cold on the ground. The wind blew but her deerskin overcoat protected her underlying flesh. She smiled, baring her white teeth as she put the coin in her pocket. Standing fully straight she began to walk to a place she knew she could call home and to one she could call daughter.

Laiste was not quite ready to go in. the day had been long and frustrating. the book may have been pink and pretty but it did not help her. what use had see for pink rose petals?
the sky began to turn an ominous dark with green tinge.
a storm is comming she thougt. she shiver a little. she was not afraid of storms. she loved the rain and listen to the rumbling thunder and seeing how the world lite up from the lighting.
this was diffrent. this storm brough the site sight of destruction and panic. nothing good would come of this storm.
Laiste backed up and slid down the wall. she began to feel the power of the storm and the sharp promise of despair. the wind howled, the clouds swirrled and and sharp rain drops began to pelt her. she stayed huddle against the rough stone wall encased in the her billous cloak.
for some reason she began to cry. tears that mimiced and the storm. she could not move she could stay and watch the storm rage around.

*ahem*
Echidna makes an appearance to narrate.
Echidna's castle is very unique. it sits in the middle of moon heart lake. The castle is grey stone that reflects all around it. The stone shifts from blue to green to orange, all with a grey tinge. the castle has many teirs and towers. spires swirl up toward the sky. the castle sit on a platform of rocks that ring. to get in the castle from the in you must take the underground tunnel after being allowed in by the water lion. the traveler appears in an crevice in the rocks.
the castle has many windows, tall and splendid to small portholes. inside it is riddles with corridors and every room you can imagine. the castle is practically a living being and changes constantly to what is needed. only the rocks do not move.

Light filtered toward Laiste. Everything was so tall! The light was soft and move from yellow and green colors not unlike a stained glass window. the light mezmorized her. she was cuddle down into something that was soft and the light was then closed above her.
Laiste woke with a start. She was sopping wet and curled up againt the castle wall. The storm was over and soft light shone all around. remenants of her dream left her cold and shivering still. She felt unwell and dizzy. Standing, she left her wet and heavy cloak fall to the ground. She felt along the wall hiding from the light wich felt like it burned her. She made her way into the castle.
She should there blinking in the darkness and still shivering. Three months she had lived in the castle and had not found anything or had a revelation. she also had not seen a soul, animal, vegitable, or mineral. well the stone wall could be mineral but they have been no comfort. she stay away from the villiages, she heard and felt the unrest.
She needed to get dry and warm. She passed on of the swirly large mirrors. Her glow was diminished. This greatly concerned her. What was happening? She made it to the room she called her own off one of the librarys and fell into a fitful sleep.

She had finally made it. The small town rang true to its nature, being peaceful but always alive and vibrant. She worked her way through the town to the inn. She peered over her shoulder and caught glimpses of the castle over the lake. She smiled ruefully and entered the inn. She didn't bother with formalities. She got her own key. She got her own room. She was ready to start her trouble.

Very friendly, tries to take care of everybody, has a firey Irish temper but only when provoked, i enjoy a good bottle of whiskey or Absinthe and tend to be a bit of a slutty drunk.

"I was born in Ireland to a family of witches and wizards. I'm the second oldest of twelve children and the oldest girl. I was always Daddy's favorite, you could even say that I was the Golden Child. We were dirt poor farmers only because we didn't want to be found out and hung. When I was sixteen I became a lady in waiting for a countess and went to live in her manor. One night, about a week after my seventeenth birthday, I was restless and couldn't sleep so I decided to take a walk in the garden. While I was walking a man appeared as if out of nowhere and asked if he could escort me. Recognizing him as one of the kitchen staff I said yes. We walked forever and then he asked me to dance to the music of the night. I woke up a few days later in the countess's bed, she had commissioned the young man to make me like her, a vampire. I was frightened and left to return to my family. They didn't shun me knowing that it was a perfectly normal thing. On my eighteenth birthday my father gave me Isis, my pet snow white tiger, that night I ran away from home. I wandered all over Europe serving as a midwife to various wealthy families, Isis always stayed a house cat when in the company of others, she's a shape shifter. Well one night, a few days before All Hallows Eve I went to a grand ball and drank a bit too much. When I found out that I was in the family way I left and ended up here. I had Raina a few days later on All Saints Day. Not too long after she was born I was bitten by a werecat and ended up with a tail. A few days later my beau, Logan, and I went for a walk and found poor Keiran abandoned in the woods. A week later Logan left on a hunt and I had the twins, Kennedy and Reagan, after he left. Then my older brother Flynn came and found me here, he had gotten himself turned after I left home and had been searching for me for almost three hundred years. Just recently he told me that our mother was part Siren also making me one. Soon after Flynn came I found out that Logan had been killed and fell into a deep depression. Then along came Sypher, my husband. It was love at first sight and we got married after having dated for less than a month. We have three children together, Luka, 14, Serafina or Fina, 8, and Mercutio or Tio, 2 and I'm currently pregnant with quadruplets."

I'm very powerful and can snap just about anything into existence. When I get depressed or heartbroken my hair turns purple and I tend to turn flowers black just by walking near them. I glow a faint green when I'm using a lot of power/energy.

Laiste opened her eyes to the tiny room next to one of the libraries. She had chosen the tiny room of the round library. She thought that the serpentine shaped library was not one that she would like living in.
The castle felt empty and desolate. During her fitful sleep she dreamed of people in the castle. They walked in rows and talked in hushed voices. She dreamed of some one at the castle walls in a dreamy state.
blinking, the the images from her slumber started to dissolve. she picked up her wet cloths and went to find her cloak. as she went outside a creature flew overhead towards the towns. she had never been to the towns before but she had come a crossed accounts of it in her research. as she picked up her cloak she had the strangest feeling. someone had arrived at the tavern. not just anyone but some one she knew very well. as she realized this creeping ivy began to cover the stone. she knew who was here. the time had come and she wondered what news this person brought. oh, this would be fun! she could feel the mischievousness in her start to ping. she knew her glow was brightening once again. she let out a sigh. everything was going to be alright. she could not say the same for everything else. Laiste may have found her center but the world was definitely going to wobble on its axis.

Sajidah walked out of the inn. The woods around her beckoned and she answered the call. She moved like the wind, leaping and dropping, leaping and dropping. She went hunting, caught her lunch, and fed heartily. She moved back to the inn and prepared for her journey to the invisible city.
