This thread is from the members of the Hidden Stone Village and travelers from other countries. Contact Laijin to join the guild and the village.
Setting The Hidden Stone, although holding a considerably large territory, is not a known village. Set on the slopes of towering, cold mountains, their attention is set more on survival than caring about surrounding countries. The Hidden Stone shinobis are masters of earth-based jutsus and ruthless when it comes to survival. The village is said to be one of the great five Countries, but it is more because of its size than its history or implications in conflicts. They stay in their mountains, lands nobody desires but them, rarely coming down for or against neighboring countries.
Buildings ((Some buildings were inspired by Joukai no Gutei's previous post))
Tsuchikage Building: Set on the highest slope, it's a building that's really been dug directly within the mountain. It's a maze of halls and rooms to confuse any intruders and the ANBU main offices are connected to the Kage's. Inside the building are also a library with a restricted area and the communication office for the receival of the top-priority messages.
ANBU headquarters: Connected to and a level lower than the Tshuchikage, the headquarters also have a main entrance for the public, along with many other tightly guarded secret ones. Like the Tsuchikage Building, it's a maze running through the mountain slope where the high security prison and interrogation rooms are held. Those are seperated from the rest of the rooms in case of a prisoner escaping.
Ninja Academy: Mixed in the civilian lower levels, it is where the aspiring young shinobi go to learn the basics of the ninja lifestyle. Chuunins normaly teach, with the occasional Jounin landing a hand for the touchy classes and expeditions. It's a fairly large building with a courtyard for outdoor training and small caves where they children learn how to manoeuver through a maze riddled with traps.
Fighting Arena: Tournaments and training are done there. It's in a somewhat isolated cave because of the risk of damage an destruction due to the heated battles of the tournaments. A round, high-ceilinged room, seats are situated at the very top of the room and overlook the room. If the Stone were to host the Chuunin exams, it would be done there.
Restauration/Resting Area: At the lowest part of the mountains is a series of natural hotsprings that come from the bowels of the mountain. Various bathhouses and restaurants have been installed there, to the sore shinobi's delight upon coming back from a gruesome mission. From ramen stalls to high cuisine, most can be found there.
Hospital: Every human settlement needs a hospital. The Hidden Stone's is situated close to the ANBU headquarters with most of its wings mixing with the civilian settlements. There are departments for every type of injury, but they are all seperated. The regular, every day wounds are not treated at the same place as the fatal mission-related ones.

arrow Earth Country, Iwagakure Gates
A small but efficient group had gathered outside of Iwagakure. At the gates stood the excursion team; four jounin, five chuunin, and a pair of their own ANBU black ops. This was going to be different for those who were used to battling with Leaf; But the enemy had made their presence known, and they were far more dangerous than their previous rivals. Eventually, once they were done with the other countries, they would come to Iwagakure, and the Kage was unsure if even their defenses could hold out..so the summons was answered. Still..something was wrong. The Kage was looking over and called toward the group;
"Shuten Douji!"
And there was no answer. One of the Jounin came forward and dropped to one knee.
'My Lord, Douji-sama is not with the strike force.'
The Kage raises an eyebrow, annoyance clearly showing on his face..
"Where is he?"
'My Lord, I sent a messenger genin to find him'.
arrow Iwagakure, Shuten Douji's home
There was a knock at the door..an insistent knock..then the door opened and the man felt himself being stirred awake. He could be heard to mumble..
"I was having a good dream.."
He opens one eye..then the other..and slowly sits, rubbing his head..and he looks to either side of him at the two buxom, naked women in his bed, still asleep..and he murmers mostly to himself, ignoring the young boy in front of him..
"A very good dream.."
The red-faced young man coughs and speaks up..
'Tsuchikage-sama sent me. He needs to...'
The man's eyes closed again and he mumbles somewhat irritably..
"I'll speak to your Kage in the morning."
The young boy blinks twice, and looks out the window at the risen sun outside the house..and says quietly..
'But Douji-sama, it is morning..'
Then as an afterthought he says even more quietly..
'They're waiting for you.'
Shuten looks at the two beautiful young women again..then at the boy with something akin to irritation, but too lazy to be even that..before he hauls himself out of bed and begins gathering his clothing. The boy continues to speak..
'Are the stories about you true?'
Shuten says nothing..he just looks a bit regretful as the girls stir a little, but don't move from his bed. He dresses, and looks almost contemptuously at the Shakujou staff that sits dusty, unused in the corner of his home..
'They say your father is an immortal god of darkness'.
Again, he says nary a word. He opens a large closet, his armor waiting for him..and he dons it, piece by piece..starting with the upper body armor, which seems to lock itself on...and then the leggings, complete with the underpadding..and still the boy prattles on..
'They say you can't be killed.'
That makes him raise an eyebrow, and he smirks, shaking his head idly from one side to the other as he picks up his helmet in his arms..his voice vaguely sarcastic, but not viciously so..
"I wouldn't be bothering with the armor then, would I?"
The boy blinks twice..then follows the man outside of his house..Shuten stretches, and the boy says quietly to him, looking up at the large man..
'These enemies you're fighting..the way they talk about them and their defensive powers..they have to be incredibly powerful. Maybe the strongest enemies we've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight them.'
Shuten stops then..and places his helmet on his head..giving him the look of a demon..and he looks down at the boy, his eyes not hateful, or vicious..just..expressionless and dismissive..and he says flatly to the child..
"That's why no one will remember your name."
And he walks off, heading to the gates of Iwagakure.

arrow Iwagakure gates
Shuten walks to the gates, and shoves someone out of his way as he moves before reaching the team. He looks each of the team over..nodding. They'd picked exceptional ones, yet kept the best in the village just in case. Best possible strategy. He muses, then gestures for the rest to follow. He may not be the Kage, but the group knows better than to keep him waiting once he IS up and moving. He turns around then..and bows to the Kage, saying simply..
"Sorry I'm late. I'll be going."
And before another word can be said, he heads off to where the meeting places is going to be..estimating mentally how long it will take them at this pace.

::the figure stayed behind the main group, taking care not to make a sound as it followed the group leaving the stone village. It shifted easily keeping the travelers just in sight as they moved, getting too close would be dangerous, especially with who seemed in charge::
::cold blue eyes studied the outline of the "leader." From this distance it was hard to tell anything other than how the man held himself. And from the look of it he was as hard and unforgiving as the name of his village. Underneath dark fabric a mouth twisted in an expression of puzzlement, following still in silence::
