Post which games in the Touhou series you like the most and why. <3
I made a poll for this one but due to the limit of only 10 poll options on Gaia I had to skip the PC-98 games, sorry about that.
(So if anyone knows any good poll site I could use instead, do tell.)
As for myself, Perfect Cherry Blossom is my top favorite but Subterranean Animism comes pretty close second.

I have 6, 7, and 8.
I'm only interested in the danmaku games.
I'm thinking about getting touhoumon when it's translated, either that or another danmaku game in the series.
I don't want MoF because of the lack of grazing.
I also need a hitbox patch for th6...
I've been thinking about SA. My only problem is I've heard it's hard, and I can't 1cc normal. I'm looking at the characters on touhou wiki now, though.

I'm looking at the characters on touhou wiki now, though. Touhoumon IS translated and I already cleared it. Of course, the english version is missing a few touhoes and areas, because instead of making a translation patch (those are horrid, belive me) they decided to recode the game to mimic the japanes counterpart, but on an english rom instead, so they are always a bit behind. And there won't be any secret dungeons like the one where you fight flandre herself (bunch of level 60's mid-hard enemies followed by a level 90+ Flandre. Flandre's low defense stat makes it so you can try to beat her at level 60+, like an RPG boss, but her constant use of mirror image makes the battle more intense.) Also, Touhoumon is a LOT harder than your regular pokemon game. You'll be grinding for levels a lot more due to weird type mixes on most gym leaders (Rock/Ice... Psichic/Fighting? FIRE/ICE?!?!?) Most people can't beat Brock with grinding to level Star or Wriggle till they have Water Gun/Wrrigle Kick. If you don't like MoF that much (like me) you can try clearing it with MarissaBugged (level 3-3.49 shot), just to see the spellcards. It makes the game more swift as in it really looks like cheating. I haven't done it, But I've seen how MBugged works... Poor mioriko, she didn't even start shooting.

On the contrary, I cannot play anything besides Scarlet Weather Rhapsody! I'm pretty okay at SWR (Lunatic, but I don't play Netplay really) but I fail at every other game (the physics of IaMP aren't as... merciful as SWR's... and I suck at danmaku games, boohoo.)
The way I play Touhoumon is that I use the regular Pokemon as a bit of a guide so that I don't get totally lost (so that I know that I need to talk to some old lady in Celadon to get the tea, then use the tea to get past the guards, or something.) I pretty much just work my way through it blindly, using my knowledge of Touhou to make reasonable assumptions and whatnot when needed since nothing except for VIVIT's name is in English. (although i kind of draw a blank on anything PC-98 aside from genji and i guess mima but i haven't found her yet.)
Touhoumon is a fun game. It's also a hard game. Unless you are insane at Pokemon you will probably need to grind or something most of the time to beat the Gym leaders. Before the first gym you might want to pick up Star Sapphire (she's the girl you find in Viridian Forest, blue coat, water type) or Wriggle (who is a bug type but learns Wriggle Kick later on, which is useful for Brock's seemingly indestructible Suika, plus Wriggle's a useful character all-around.)
I cleared the 1.53 version, with a finishing team of Marisa, Wriggle, Cirno, Alice, Medicine, and Yuugi. Hooray!

I have almost all the Touhou Games except Perfect Cherry Blossom and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.
My favorite right now has to be Subterranean Animism, Imperishable Night and Mountain of Faith simply because they have such a rocking soundtrack.

i like PCB cause the scoring system makes me wanna play again, and again, and again... oh look the scoreboards are all my name xd
Imperishable night has a pretty big character selection (considering the solo character choices) and spell card mode is intensely difficult once you get into the higher levels.
SA and MoF are kinda... dull... only 2 character choices and the bombs lower your power, even though i only use bombs when i'm about to get shot, that just makes it harder cause your power level just dropped, but that's just me talk2hand SA is freaking EASY, TOO EASY, seriously i just go thru the sides and avoid getting shot altogether! i seriously beat it on my first try easy mode.
yeah i'm more of a normal (by that i mean game difficuly) player, i have EoSD to thank for that (easy mode? NO REMI FOR JOO)
